Noodlebox in Nanaimo

I have been there 20mins to closing twice now and it says open and turned away so I will be complaining to management also the online time doesnt match w the sign. But both times I have been turned away Im at the store going by the sign that states OPEN UNTIL 12AM FRIDAY AND SATURDAY ITS 20 TO 12 AND TOLD NO WE ATE CLOSED

Friday and Saturday states on sign open until 12am but 3 weeks in a row 11:30 & 11:40 twice turned away saying we are closed. And not to mention online hours states 2am . Lost me as a customer

best noodlebox in town much recommended to visit very tasty food i loved butter chicken served perfectly in portion and taste would love to visit again and again staff and management is very nice and positive keep it up guys

I used to go here everyday. Last 4 times I ve called no one picks up to take an order. Tried ordering online they won t confirm my order. Horrible horrible customer service. They won t even take ur orders anymore.

Tried calling 4 times, 40 min before closing and they dont answer the phone.

This place is amazing, great food, great service and even the owner came up asking if we are enjoying the food. Definitely coming again!

If you are taking out a container and you ve ordered protein, make it s in there before you leave. The crispy chicken was missing in my order.

Great food and serving size for the price. Not the best asian food I ever had, but $12 instead of $19 for a huge serving is great.

Fried rice is awesome and my favorite, but honey garlic chicken box that I tried was terribly sweet. It was like sweet rice and chicken.

Sept 2024 Update: My fried rice is terrrrible. Looks to be a young kid with no experience cooking the food. I have waaaay too many peas, carrots and bean sprouts and very little rice and the rice I do have in the bowl is mushy and bland. Such a dissapointment. I pay $15 for this meal and eat out less and less, I would expect my meal to be up to standard. Such. a let. down. Why. do. I. bother.... 2023- My spring roll order was incorrect. I ordered pork not veg. The sauce was incorrect. The price of all menu items has become outragous. The last time I ordered the spicy peanut was beyond bland. I could make it better at home. There is no more loyalty program (even though I was told it was being revamped and brought back and then never did)I have been a very loyal customer since the first chinatown location in Victoria so Im so dissapointed I try and give these restaurants a chance. The quality has gotten so bad.

Countless disappointments with the south Nanaimo location. Update: Continued bad experiences, dont recommend. I dont know why I expect it to get better, I guess I just have fond memories of the older locations in Victoria. I ordered online and left a tip in advanced, wish I could get my tip back.

Absolutely excellent Asian food. Fresh, well cooked and spiced. Asked for medium hot and it was spot on. Grabbed a meal at 8pm stright off the ferry and will be going back tonight. Food

My boyfriend picked me up an order for a medium hot teriyaki box and it soggy and dry no sauce it was extremely sweet I called in and the lady said there was nothing she could do about it, when I got the wrong order she tried to lie to me saying my boyfriend ordered it that way but I was on the phone with him while he was ordering it. She would do nothing about it, I even offered to drive and bring my box in to switch it out and she said no. She just continued to argue with me on the phone about my order it was very unprofessional.

Personnel were great but floors were so sticky and the white stools have a inch thick of dirt cleaning needs to happen.

The Port Place Noodlebox is not only convenient for those of us hungry pre/post grocery shop, but as a destination on its own serves up delicious food that is customized, fresh, and vibrant. If a great snack/meal isn t all you that you re after, you ll also enjoy their excellent and friendly service (shout out to the fantastic Yangi!). Highly recommend! :)

I ordered the Thai style chowmein with chicken, and it was hands down the best noodles I ve ever had! The flavour was perfect and chicken was tender, juicy, and fresh. 10/10 recommend to check this place out

First time eating Noodle box in Nanaimo. I Ordered Delivery with a work mate and it was pretty lack luster. We ordered sometime between 6-8pm -Not much chicken in the dish... Noodles were stodgy; It was pretty tasteless and I was annoyed at the cost for the quality & quantity protein/veg received. Will probably try & avoid but theres not much choice for food in Nanaimo.

Me & my partner had our dinner here at terminal avenue. Upon seing yang chou fried rice we were happy since we came from singapore. We ordered ramen soup & yang chou fried rice and it is savoury and very delicious. They have big portions as well & were so full. The place is clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Well be back for sure to try other food. Thanks for the delicious meal.

I enjoyed my Noodlebox it was a small box but a mighty one , l like heat so I ordered med/hot found it extremely hot it over powered the whole box next time I think med will do just fine . Protein is a extra charge a little tight considering it s a extra charge ?

Apparently if you have any coupons from previous manager they wont honour them. Man was condescending. Lost two customers permanently and all friends and family. Nice job to save $15 buddy.

Evan is the best cook. The service was impeccable. The food was divine. Ive had Noodle Box a thousand times and this, by far, was objectively the greatest moment of my life. I found God in that Noodle Box and I can say that heaven is the umami of life. Kid-friendliness: Kids love boxes. The noodles are in boxes = kids love noodle box, easy parenting strategy. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheely good.

I have been to many Noodle Box locations and I have never had food like this. It is absolutely exceptional. The drunken noodles were amazing. The atmosphere here is really chill. I really like it. I wish I lived in Nanaimo instead of Victoria. Hands down, I will be back.

This place needs cleaning; tables are dirty with lots of crumbs and food left on them. Lots of garbage on the floor. I would not recommend to eat inside... Food is ok but takes quite long time to prepare.

Nice that they have vegan options but honestly the food was not great. Sauce was overly sweet and weird, we could make a better noodle dish at home. Also why are they asking for tips when you do everything yourself including pour your own water and the staff can t even bother to wipe the tables clean? Both tables we sat at were dirty and the manager walked up in a puffy coat and accosted us to leave a google review so this is it. Save your money and eat at home friends.

The staff are friendly and the food was well prepared. I like experimenting with options of rice or noodles etc. I always order the Naan bread with dip and the veggy rolls too. There are inexpensive tasty add ons.

Pleasant staff, great food for a reasonable price. Lots of space and everything was clean. Mostly Wheelchair accessible including large washrooms and lower counter near the water to grab supplies, only counter not wheelchair accessible is the area were you order but the machine can be brought to the wheelchair. Spice levels are authentic, so make reasonable choices. Vegetarian options: Tofu is good, I made it vegan and it was delicious.

Really enjoyed it, much better than other noodle boxes on the island, my order was done wrong but was immediately fixed upon request, no questions asked, very friendly and welcoming staff. Also love the chopsticks, other takeout places chopsticks arent this good.
