Amore Bistro cafe in Nanaimo

The clubhouse sandwich is delicious but the fries almost inedible... Soggy, full of grease and probably dropped twice.

I had the beef Donair. It was an 8 / 10. The sliced onions on top were not cut up small so they were a bit overpowering for the Donair. The meat was seasoned really nice.

Great spot for a quick coffee, or sit down and enjoy their fantastic food.

Highly recommend Amore Bistro Cafe! Coffee is strong, food is delicious and the barista was very kind. Excellent place to make part of your morning routine!

We came here to grab breakfast and a coffee before hiking. Service was amazing ( very attentive and friendly), and food was fantastic. Made our hike much more enjoyable. Thank you we will be back

First time Ive been here. Lovely little cafe with wonderful staff, good food and a welcome change from the chain places in town.

Excellent food and great price and portions, highly recommended. Perfect place to stop before hiking Juan da fuca or WCT.

A first visit for breakfast was so enjoyable. Full on eggs, toast, bacon and hash browns..delicious! (I will order the potatoes to be a bit crispier next time, the bacon and eggs were done perfectly!) Friendly staff; the chef came out to make sure our meals were to our satisfaction. Nothing fancy, just good home cooking and pleasant atmosphere. Lots of parking, too. Will have to try the lunch menu next.

We stopped on our way home from a long couple weeks of camping. Would give more then 5 stars if possible. Was open early so we could eat before our ferry departure. Food was exceptional and reasonably priced. Owner was very friendly. Definitely stop here!

A warm and friendly atmosphere. Just the right size. The food was wonderful and the servers very helpful. It has become, after one visit, our favourite breakfast spot in Nanaimo.

A hidden gem tucked in the industrial zone, the food (donair) was hot and tender, flavourful and filling, the lemonade iced cold and not too sweet, perfection. I had to try them when on lunch from the job site, and they were timely enough to be in and out in 20 minutes with no sacrifice to food quality. My new favourite place for a quick bite

Quaint and cozy little place, with friendly staff. You know that the food is good when you see chefs from another place eat there.

Perfect little unassuming breakfast spot, in a location that is easy to get to but could be overlooked. Food and service were excellent and the owners clearly put care into keeping things running smoothly.

Amore is a go to of ours. Fantastic service, wonderfully pleasant staff and great food. Exactly the atmosphere you want for that early morning breakfast and coffee or lunch meet up.

Amore Bistro Cafe is fantastic! The service is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home. Their coffee and food are delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. Theres also plenty of space to socialize and enjoy your time. Highly recommend!

Amazing breakfast

We had a great experience all around, they were so accommodating of us- we had our dog and they brought out a large table and chairs so he could sit with us outside. The food was all amazing, we had the avocado toast, island breakfast and classic breakfast and all were great (especially the avocado toast). Highly recommend and we will stop by again on our way home :)

My friend and I recently discovered this hidden gem, and I can t believe we didn t know about it sooner! It s the best coffee Nanaimo has to offer in my opinion, plus they have great food and baked goods. Their donairs are awesome, and I absolutely love their cream cheese danishes. It s a cozy little shop, and the staff are all so great!

Nice cafe in a fairly industrial area. A good option if you work near by. The food was great, and the staff were friendly enough and pretty quick. Id go back if I was working in the area again. Food : 5/5

I ate here for the first time today. I took my Mum for lunch. The food was presented very nicely, healthy portions, reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. The owners are very nice. Its nice to eat at a place where the food is made with Love. I always prefer to support an independent family run business.

I m so happy I finally went here today & there s so many locals chatting about this place over social media. Jane s hospitality chatting she s new here as well from Edmonton. She helped with ordering & made me feel immediately welcomed. What is served here is a genuine Alberta donair & the taste & more tasted like I was back in Calgary. So delicious!! Like I said you ll be seeing more of me as I live close by. The portion, size, price & freshness was all excellent. I really enjoyed my donair today. Thank you again Jane for everything today

Amazing food! The donair was spot on and the best I ve had on the Island. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming and make you feel right at home. My wife has a gluten allergy and they went above and beyond to make sure there were items for her to eat even though not listed on the menu. We will be back and highly recommend it! The chicken club sandwich had amazing tasting chicken which was one of my favourites parts about the whole meal. Their gravy and their beef donair was really good. Overall, I really liked everything my family got. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to have breakfast or lunch. Dietary restrictions: My mom and sister are both gluten-free, and the chefs made them both gluten free gravy to go with their fries and it made them both really happy!

Had breakfast there, quaint little place. Food was good and the prices werent crazy. The hash browns were homemade, which I loved.

Guys, you need to come here. Super high attention to quality and detail. Ordered classic breakfast - potatoes were done perfectly. Toast was buttered evenly. Not greasy, not dry, perfect. Everything is spotless. Whoever runs this place is a perfectionist and it shows. Food is served right to the table with coffee topped off frequently.

We selected this restaurant based on a family members recommendation. In a nutshell, this restaurant is amazing! We LOVED the donairs (best weve ever had and over the years, and we have tried quite a few from other places), and our son said the chicken burger was the best chicken burger that he has ever had. We found out that this place is family owned and operated. Staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. Were staying up island so we plan to visit again in a few days before our ferry takes off for the mainland. Were excited to try their breakfast options!

Tried for the first time and ordered a breakfast pita. Impossible to eat with your hands and impossible to cut . Order something else. Husband loved his eggs and sausages.

Absolutely wonderful staff, good breakfast and good fries! Sadly, my father didnt like the fish, but even so, one of the staff members offered anything else from the menu free. So super sweet. I cant wait to come back and try something else!

The food is not salty and delicious. I liked that it wasnt greasy, and the tea and ice cream were delicious. The restaurant is quiet and clean, so I plan to visit often. I recommend it.

This is an amazing little cafe, tucked away in Nanaimos small industrial area. I sampled their Donair, burgers and smoked meat sandwiches. They are all pretty amazing. Im from Montreal and am pleased with the quality of their Donair and Smoked meat. Its well worth the trip.

I had the smoked meat sandwich today. It was very good. I didnt want fries so she put together a quick salad for me. Great service with a huge smile. Ill go back again for sure.

Just had our first visit to Amore, great little cafe with very friendly owner, we had coffee and tea and two apple strudels, yummy, we ll be back for breakfast or lunch for sure! Parking: Lots for cars and commercial trucks too. They have lots of customers from offices around them

The food here is amazing, the staff is friendly and polite, the prices are so reasonable. This place is a must try. Best donair in Nanaimo!

Enjoyed tea and hash browns and bacon. Their food was delicious and cooked perfect. No cheap tasting ingredients, the bacon is thick and perfect, not sure what they did to the hashbrowns but it was better than any other breakfast place.

Delicious Donair sweet sauce was right amount of sweet, lots of cheese and great price. Will be back to try out the rest of the menu!
