This location is awesome. Way bigger portions than the one off 19a. Super friendly staff that immediately greet you when you walk in. Food was made quickly and tasted awesome. Will absolutely be back to this location. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ well done everyone!
Had a great dinner at Edo Japan last night! The food was delicious, especially the all-you-can-eat sushi and jalapeño bombers. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality Japanese cuisine.
3 weeks ago, I went to this EDO. This being the first time in 10 years I've bee to an EDO, I was a little shocked with the price difference but that is expected. I was shocked at the level of service provided, to me, EDO is just a great takeout place. However I chose to sit down that time inside and I was waiting for my food to be called out and to pick it up and bring it back to my table, when all of a sudden it was delivered to my table as if a full service restaurant. I was very happy with the old style of the take out theme but I was pleasantly surprised with this experience. Today I came back on a whim and I was offered a cup of water while I ate as I didnt order one with my food. I couldn't afford the drink and I never asked for one. I really appreciate this level of service. This is a place I will recommend, not that doing so will have a great impact but to ensure I'm doing my part after recieving such top notch service.
I really enjoyed my last visit! The place is incredibly clean and the staff are very welcoming and friendly! The food is served fairly quickly with a consistent quality. I know it’s a chain, but it doesn’t feel like it at all! It’s amazing how a great human interaction can influence an entire visit. Thank you to the team for maintaining high standards for service and food quality.

The following review is my personal opinion. I'm rather disappointed with this restaurant. I had never eaten at Edo Japan before and so assumed this was a proper restaurant, not a fast-food chain. I found the setting to be very loud, stressful, and overwhelming. (True, it was very clean in the restaurant, but this didn't help my anxiety.) I found the decor to be rather unpleasant, especially the ignorant, Orientalist corporate posters. The menu was confusing: In most fast-food restaurants, "meal" denotes "a full order," but here "meal" turned out to mean a lesser order of a bowl, so I didn't end up getting the bento box that I actually wanted; the teriyaki chicken bowl that I did get was pretty lacklustre. For $20, I expected somewhat better food. I don't really see any reason why I would ever eat here (or any other Edo Japan location) ever again. As a result, I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone.
***update- still a great fast food place. I stopped using SkipThe Dishes, too pricey, they even added a service fee for picking up. So I just go in to Edo, order and wait and skip the app. 😌 First time ordering from here and not disappointed. When I first opened up the takeout box, it looked plain, and I wondered if the taste buds would think the same. I was pleasantly surprised! To me, presentation is everything. I ordered through SkipThe Dishes and got my order in half an hour all the way to Cassidy. Not bad! We ordered bento boxes, which came with teriyaki chicken over noodles and vegetables, and you had choices of two sides. I chose tempura shrimp and sushi...mmm mmm good 😋 I definitely recommend this place! PS: I took away a star for presentation, maybe it is presented better dining in. ***I added a picture of the Shrimp udon soup, so so good! Looked good! Changed to a 5 star, definitely deserving of it!

Went in Thursday afternoon to get the Thursday Special sushi tray, which I ve gotten at least once a month for the last year, but this time they tell me the specials are available through the app only. Seriously?!? I can t walk in the store and get the specials anymore?!? So I turned around and walked-out. What a joke. You ve just lost a loyal customer. I hope you go out of business.
Consistently good food from these good people I order delivery a lot due to a busy schedule and have been just so grateful for their convenience and great food!

I have come a few times and the food is always fresh and tastes very good. It also stands out that the staff that works is too nice!! Always very friendly and attentive. I would give them 1000 stars for being such nice people and cooking very well.

Ive ordered from Edo through DoorDash a few times now, and I cant say enough good things about this location! The food always arrives hot and exactly as we ordered. You are able to modify your order to your preferences and the food is amazing. Edo will always be my go-to choice. Great customer service and great food for the price. Highly recommend this location!

Happily surprised! I was visiting Nanaimo for a tournament and needed a quick bite to eat. My companions and I wanted something somewhat healthy . First thing I noticed was that the restaurant was quite clean. Their was only one person at the front counter and she was wonderful. I apologize for not catching her name (we were there on Sunday during the family weekend ) She was very pleasant and patient with the 7 of us ordering. The food came quickly and was delicious! So fresh and absolutely tasty. Ive been to many Edo locations and this one was the best experience Ive had. Dietary restrictions: They offer cauliflower rice!
I accidentally dropped my order when I was exiting and the insisted that they remake my order There very fact that they offered that showed me that they care about customer service The staff were very friendly also Vegetarian options: Nice to see the variety of food options available

Clean, simple, and good. They have a few bubble tea options which are all good. My favorite way to have the meals is all veg where they substitute rice/noodles with other veggies. Its fast-food style Ill be coming back =)

We ordered via uber eats so no rating for service or atmosphere. The food was delicious. It came hot and ready to eat. We ordered the beef and chicken combo. No mistakes were made and there was a generous amount of teriyaki sauce.

Wonderful customer service! The lady behind the counter was super friendly and professional. They even came and asked how my meal was. Restaurant was nice and clean. Food was alright.. Best you can expect from a chain Restaurant flavor wise. Food came out nice and hot though and veggies were cooked perfectly, not soggy. They were also giving away free cherry coke zero too..

Honestly we had to question whether we were at a fast food eatery as the service was top notch. When was the last time you had staff come to your table to make sure you were enjoying your meal and to inquire as to whether you needed anything? Oh yeah, food was high quality too!

Edo food is always the same delicious Edo food. What stands out here is the staff. Eye contact, smiles, the lady even brought me a glass of water and checked on me half way through the meal. Very happy to come again and again. I had the Bento box. It was a little bit too much. The spring tools were good but I would try something else instead of shrimp tempura next time. They were tiny little guys with a wee bit too much batter but at the price point I could have expected that.
Its Edo what can I say. They make it right and the staff is always happy and helpful.
The service is phenomenal, they accidentally made my bento with rice instead of yakisoba but they were quick to correct it, not to mention the employees routinely asked how my food was assuring I enjoyed it. My food was so good that I had to order seconds
We just had the brown sugar Boba and it was amazing. The service was awesome. We will definitely go back.
Are you actually open in Harewood now? I went last week on your opening day,the door was locked and employees just watched from inside as people kept trying the door. This was after lunch. Quite a few people walked away disappointed after going out of their way to go to your opening.
First time ordering from Edo! well packaged, presented and delicious. They even included a package of pocky. Will absolutely be ordering again! also fantastic bubble tea!

Great addition to the community. Staff and environment were great and the food delicious. Highly recommend one of the bento dinners, I had the noodle with chicken which had a great sauce and loads of veggies 2 salad rolls and California sushi rolls. I enjoyed 2 meals out of it.

Good sushis, but why so much plastic waste? Sushis for 2 persons, 6 plastic containers, all half empty and 10 soy sauce bags? So much waste. Not ecologic at all.
Good food but they give PAPER STRAWS with their PLASTIC CUPS for bubble tea. Couldnt even drink my tea. Wont be going back.

Friendly staff and even6come out to your table to check up on you and make sure everything is good (unheard of for this style of restaurant where you order your food from a menu board and pay in advance)
Very nice. Had noodlefull bowl double meat and 4 rolls. I would definatly go again . Parking: Good parking and other shops like Tim Hortons and Dollarama in same lot.

Delicious Volcano and Tiger rolls! Spring rolls were huge and most excellent! Staff was very friendly and amazing too! Bubble tea was also banging! Perfect lunch spot. Parking: Always parking spots in the area.

Screwed up my order. I called to get it fixed...hard to understand person on phone. Had to drive all the way back to location, to pick up item they Did not put in my order. Still charged me, not even a discount offered. Poor customer service.
