The pizza tastes good but you need to reduce the thickness of the dough a little.

Ali Baba used to be my favourite pizza but the last couple of times we ve ordered have been disappointing. Very skimpy on all the toppings, barely any ground beef on the Greek pizza, hardly any sauce. Won t order from them again sadly

I finally tried ali baba nanaimo , while on my search for a great pizza place in town ,and a new favorite . It was pretty good. My personal preference would be a bit more sauce , but all in all, it reminded me of the good ol days and how pizza should be. Well done guys . ! I shall be back.

I ordered 2 medium pizza s and I got thin crust ones which I never ordered. I had an Alibaba special and Carnivore which I ve had previously and the toppings were skimpy on both and not as I have had them before. Pizzas were just coming out of the oven when I got there. So they didn t sit around getting dried out it s been awhile since I ve had pizza but I don t think I will order from there again.

Favorite pizza for the family. Many fun varieties and always delivered fast and delicious.

Cheese Buns saved this order. Donairs were extremely small for the price. Our babys bottle is thicker than they were. Mostly wrap and not much chicken....We sat and waited for our order until someone asked us what we were waiting for. Turned out the order was done a while ago. Wont be returning.

We have ordered pizza from Ali Baba s several times and it s always great. Yesterday I placed an order for 6pm pick-up. The pizza was cold, very disappointed. If you place an order at 4 to be picked up at 6, don t cook it right away and leave it in the warmer.

My donair is pretty much all lettuce. Pretty disappointing.

The pizza has really changed in the last few months. Ive been a longtime customer and like to buy by the slice. There is a lot less toppings and its just not worth it anymore. I thought Id give it another chance today. After today, I wont be back.

FRESH FRESH FRESH !!!!! Simple order of a donair but every bite i took was fresh, crunchy lettuce, perfectly ripe tomatoes and the taztiki was just the waynyou want it to be. Delivery was super fast & in house. (No Apps Required) I called them back the next day as i felt surcharged with my order and it was late in the evening when I did, i know my mistake for not asking them to read my order out b4 saying send it my way because i was so hungry. There was simple discrepancies, nothing major and i wasnt asking for anything because the food was great and it was my fault for not verifying my order. They graciously gave me a credit, which i wasnt asking for. So if youre wondering if you should order from here. ABSOLUTELY

Was in Nanaimo for vacation and stopped in for pizza. Food was great and the staff was very helpful. Better than any service I have gotten here in the states.

We are definitely regulars of Ali Baba! Delicious pizza, great value with their 2 for 1 deal, and the staff are always kind and welcoming. Honorable mentions go to the Marco Pollo, 4 Cheese and Ballpark, but we havent tried a flavour yet that we havent liked!

Just stopped in for my first time and had a couple of slices. Its nice to find some great pizza close to home.

Pizza was really good, with loads of toppings. Pizza sauce is a bit bland for my liking so its good they have really good alternate sauces. (Probably because I cook with too many spices, lol) Every time I come here Im always super well treated and Im glad I go back.

But two slices of pizza this Saturday on the box it says local tastes better both pieces were dried out and really like warm cardboard $13 for the two slices no use trying more than twice!

It was ok, what could have made it better was the meat. The pepperoni is sliced way to thick and reminds me of Loblaws giant pepperoni logs. Also when I asked for my dip I was told it was in the box but it wasnt.

This is take out or delivery only but the pizza we had was very tasty.

Very good deals and great customer service to go with their great food.

Pick up order was 15 minutes late and cold. The pizza was sliced into 2 extra large pieces, 3 large piece, 2 medium pieces and 1 minuscule piece. It would seem the quality of service depends on the size of the tip or delivery orders are receiving priority handling.

Pizza was hot and fresh with lots of toppings. Super, friendly staff.

After a poor experience they have made up for it and my last time was considerably better. Carnivore pizza is a favorite.

I got there at a bad time where all four pizza choices seemed less than fresh. Thought the options were limited with no pepperoni or meat lovers.

Great pizza always go to the Duncan location so we thought we wud try Nanaimo and we ordered carnivore and there wasnt any made so they offered my husband a small 4 piece slice one. Wud have been nice to get the one we ordered jus come from there August 16 at 5pm. The cashier said we can wait for it to be cooked but the cook had other plans. I will stick to Duncan location.

Ok.. working out of town and heard from the locals this place was top noch..order on line for the work team ask for pick up. It went to victory. not Nanaimo.needless to say wasn t happy.being I pre paid and gave a tip. With in no time the stores sorted it out and the pizza guy at Nanaimo store was on making the pizzas.. top noch service 5 star rating for that alone .. now waiting for the I have no doubt its going to be delicious.. so could have been a completely different review.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND..PS the pizza was fanfrickentastic Nanaimo pizza guy better get that tip sunday night

Amazing pizza...delivery on a Sunday at 11 am..I love vegetarian..my husband not so much..we get the best of both! The female driver is also worth mention..so personable! My only question is can you get the east coast sweet sauce for the donairs

1st time to try Ali Baba. I usually order from the pizza joint on vic crescent and they always take over an hour to deliver. This location took 45 minutes and I ordered on a saturday night at 5:45 during a pandemic. I received a call moments after I ordered and paid online telling me that I live outside of the delivery radius. They man on the phone apologized and asked if we could meet at their most southerly delivery point. When I arrived the driver apologized again and another employee showed up on his motorbike and apologized as well. This is what customer service looks like. Oh yah and the pizza was a 10/10.

I called for delivery and had some someone pick up and hang up. It was about an hour from close. I called a total of about 10 times and no one answered after that. The date was June 23 approx 22:10 and the store stayed open until 23:00. The fact I was answered and hung up on multiple times during hours of operation is terrible. No management available, poor ownership

Pizza is really good but very Poor management with very rude manager. Did not care about the customer at all. Paid for the pizza and left it in the restaurant and he said thank you. Would recommend mambos which has good pizza and way better customer service.

I havent ordered from here in quite a while but something has definitely changed since the last time Ive been. It just isnt as substantial anymore. Seemed like a thin crust youd get from Fresh Slice or something. Its been on more than one occasion too. I hope they go back to their old ways. Cause if this is the quality I may as well keep going to Fresh Slice. Shame.

Decent pizza except its overshadowed by 1 worker who is horrible. He reeks like cigarettes so bad my box smelled like it. While waiting for pizza outside he went out for a cigarette and went back in and grabbed my box without washing his hands and gave it to me. Was also incredibly rude to another customer and talked about them inappropriately after they left right in front of me.

Worst pizza Ive ever had. We ordered 4 pizzas and all of them had the driest crust Ive ever had. Also the sun dried tomatoes were so burnt it was like having charcoal as a topping. I can understand a little bit of burnt bits on top but they were burnt under the cheese. And $90 for 4 pizzas is outrageous. Absolutely can not stress this enough. DO NOT EAT HERE!

Ordered @6:30 shouldnt be crunched at the time For the price - DO IT RIGHT Alibaba special - too much peperoni, not enough of anything else and inconsistent in each piece ,less sauce,very dry, crust not risen Half hawaiian - it was okay , hardly any sauce Half five cheese - literally only one piece if fet on one of the alices and lack of sauce Crust was so thin - never had it like this before !

I cant speak for any of the other locations but Nanaimos Ali Baba doesnt just make the best pizza in town, they have the best service too. Hands down. If you ever have a problem with an order or didnt like what you got like I did 2 years ago (its a pizza place after all) they WILL and DO make it right. Did I mention that they make the best pizza? Two huge Don Cherry thumbs up for these guys.

You cant charge 23 dollars for a small and give me grocery store take-home quality pizza. Im not impressed. toppings were good but the crust was spongy and tasteless. I heard great things about this pizza, very sad it didnt live up to expectations.

Just ordered a five cheese pizza with pepperoni and ground beef. Worse pizza we ever had. Barely any cheese and a couple pepperoni here and there. Big disappointment. Dont waste your money!

I was going to order delivery, and the guy I talked to was so rude and manner-challenged when I asked about gf pizza that I had to hang up before I said anything rude. I called to speak to the manager, and it was the same rude guy! He blamed me and did nothing to rectify the situation. You lost a very regular customer. Unbelievable. That guy should be ashamed. Its called customer service buddy. Look it up.

Ali Babas pizza is by far one of the best I have tried in Nanaimo. Great taste for a great price. Plus the people are very nice to deal with. Delivery is fast, and the pizza comes in hot. You just gained yourself a new regular customer.

Great Pizza and very fair price for walk ins.

The first time i ordered here was pretty decent but every other time they screwed up something on my order. This time the pizza i recieved was a COMPLETELY different pizza (the alibaba special vs the mexican) than i had asked for and the toppings on the original order that i had asked them to remove were added as extra toppings. I called to complain and was told they would put a credit on my account but never asked for my info. The guys working the evening shift here obviously dont give two bits about doing the job right. I will not be ordering pizza here again.
