50 Anchor Way, Nanaimo, BC V9R 7B5, Canada
Bilevel venue with a Canadian bistro & separate pub, plus patio tables overlooking the water.
Cobb salad was the worse I’ve ever had or heard of. Not super clean and it was questionable if I should even try it. Friendly and professional service
Beautiful restaurant overlooking the ocean. Always great food and service. We have very much enjoyed teaching our Island Art Night events here 😀
Had a wonderful experience having a snack and a drink at this beautiful bistro and pub on the amazing Nanaimo waterfront. What a place to spend a couple of hours on a beautiful sunny afternoon! Visit soon, you won’t be disappointed! Staff was excellent as well.
Good food, the salmon burger was slightly dry. The service was okay and drinks were waiting to be refilled multiple times. Beautiful location and slightly pricey. The Shirley temple was good as well as their salad. Fairly good gluten free options. Take note that if you are sensitive to smells, the water launch has some planes that stink up the area with exhaust. Tons of flies.
Great views and food! We went here for lunch on a Monday and had such a lovely meal! I ordered the salmon burger with the house salad, which were both good. My family also got the salmon cakes, which were excellent. The waitress wasn't sure she'd have fries yet so they told us we may get onion rings instead, and then brought out both without charging us which was very nice! We also got their Nanaimo bar to go which we really enjoyed and that they kindly cut into four pieces for us without us asking. Great meal and really neat to sit by the water and watch the sea planes land and take off
We ate in the standalone circular gazebo Bistro with a separate entrance (gangway) & had access to the main building. The Lighthouse Bistro's kitchen, shares the main building, Harbour Air Terminal & the Harbour Air washrooms. Second floor is the Lighthouse Pub. This Bistro is a nice location for a summer meal. Any restaurant on the water, with water views is great. I don't normally say anything about the mediocre food (fish & chips) or service, but...
The food is not bad for bistro and pub. But service is poor especially the server tilted 4 glasses of water on to the table. But nice view that’s the plus side of it
Just been there for Lunch, thoroughly enjoyed my clam chowder, however you‘d have to pay the additional Gluten-free bread Surcharge, otherwise food was delicious and service was great. Place offers nice views over the marina and seaplane harbour. Prices are reasonable for the location. Worth a visit if you’re in town
The food was absolutely amazing! The vegan bowl was to die for
Wasnt too busy but service was great and food was quick and delicious. We had bruschetta, halibut burgers and beef brisket burgers. Great house salad and fries. Great beers too. Fantastic location with free 2 hour parking nearby and amazing view of the busy harbour.
Great spot for a quick bite or drink while commuting. Right beside Harbour Air Seaplane Terminal.Nice views.
Excellent services and good recommendations for food, the fresh oyster really surprised me, will definitely come back!
Enjoyed amazing fish and chips, Cod. The lady Jing and her service was perfect. Food
I had a great time here, i am so enjoying the Jazz night and the beers. Jing is a amazing stuff i d like to see her here every time.
I ve had a better clam chowder in Saskatchewan where the fish isn t fresh and my friend had a burger that would of been better in the garbage
Location is the highlight, on the waterfront with a view of the Seaplane base. The Seafood Cakes were very good, the Steak not good at all, might have been microwaved and came sliced. Might eat there again but will keep expectations in check.
Great view!
Cod burger is very tasty.
Good steaks at real prices
Stunning location, but business is getting run down. Lots of insects/flies. Food ok. Poor beer/wine selection. Food
I came in for fish and chips and as the food arrived the fire alarm went off. Terrible experience.
Did an art night here, and it was amazing
Came for paint night, will be back for the food and amazing views! Wheelchair accessibility: Is wheelchair accessible, one of the participants was in a wheelchair Food : 5/5 |
Restaurant is located directly at the harbor. Service was very friendly. The food is worth its price. You can sit outside as well as inside.
Great lunch here. Food excellent as was service. View incredible. Restrooms clean. A little noisy but definitely would go back.
Expensive but normal for an airport restaurant. Food - meh. Really good IPAs
Really neat patio. The food seemed like it wasnt the freshest - probably mine had been sitting a bit before my wifes was ready, but it was still fairly quick. The two waitresses that were sisters were wonderful and friendly.
What a great little spot right on the waterfront! We dined on the patio/gazebo which was well sheltered from the wind and heated too. Service was excellent, very attentive throughout our meal and patient while we perused the menu options. I had the maple roasted garlic wings and a side of fries. The wings were sauced well, tender and crispy, and the fries were extra crispy! We ended the meal with a shared Nanaimo Bar, as you do when in Nanaimo. It was a great way to cap off the day after an adventurous whale watching excursion.
An absolute must-visit!
The scenic view paired with the exquisite menu options leaves you wanting more. Supreme quality.
From the warm welcome to the delicious fare, everything here is top-quality.
Great location with a good selection of excellent dishes. Our waiter was amazing and made us feel like home.
This little place rocks! Friendly staff and great food! Parking: Paid parking lot is closed right now (2024-08-29) and the paid street parking is more for small vehicles. Its 2hr paid parking, Mon to fri ; 8am - 5pm Food : 5/5 |
First paint night great fun! Great service! Excellent food! Thank you
Did paint night there was great. Food was great service was great drinks are a little on the pricey side.
Wonderful drink service from Kiki, very tasty pasta. Lovely views
Great waterfront spot for drinks and appetizers overlooking the boats and seaplanes coming and goings out of Nanaimo Harbor.
The food is awful and over priced.
Enjoying the surf & turf masala was made even more special by the attentive staff who went above and beyond, making sure our evening was memorable.
The combination of friendly service, a cozy ambiance, and the chefs power salad bowl made for a refreshing dining experience by the sea.
Stopped in for drinks on the walk back to our hotel and sat in the circular area overlooking the harbour. Our server seemed a bit surprised that we only wanted drinks and was a bit sharp with some of the customers. Was advertised as happy hour on the internet but saw no evidence of this. Enjoyed our jug of beer, however
My boyfriend and I arrived in hopes of having a nice dinner. The waitress served us the food for the table beside us, then gave it to them after we had some food off the plate. After eating our dinner we asked for the bill. When the bill came we were told we had to leave the worst part being when we went to pay with cash we were told our our change back was not enough of a tip for her we left and will never be back.
Worst halibut fish and fries ever.never order it
Overall the place isnt bad the food was a little overpriced for what it is but the view is nice depending on where you are sitting. I wasnt overly impressed with the service from Jing z. The only reason I know her name is because it was on my bill she didnt introduce herself at all wasnt very personable and didnt make me feel welcomed.
This place made my trip. Got to sit on the ocean eating halibut absolutely a place to visit my wife and I checked off one for the bucket list.
Really really bad. Food was sadly bad, the place is covered in flies, and the service is sub par
Their friendly service and the peaceful water view made for a perfect meal.
The waitress (brunette, well-built) was super friendly. Hummus was great. The waitress must be so lucky to work at a place with such a nice view.
Great beer selection, friendly service, exciting views of the harbor and the food is also tasty.
Top location, mediocre atmosphere, food is bad. Worst moiito ever, and at the price. Shame!
I had a pretty good time here. The views were the best part of this dining experience. As for the food, it was average and a bit overpriced. I suppose a lot of tourists wouldnt mind it. Overall, one thumb up.
I had some pasta, loved it...everything was quite good.
Lets be honest , the food is decent for the price, not great. Its the view that sold me
Catching the sunset while enjoying the catch of the day was an experience Ill never forget. The fish was fresh, and the lemon apple herbed sauce was a great addition.
Firstly, our server was fantastic. Timely, genuine and quite funny. She was tall and slender with brown bob cut hair. wish I asked her name. We visited on Saturday for lunch and sat on the patio that wraps around the building. Me and my friends all tried the turkey, bacon club and I also had calamari. Roasted turkey was a bit dry and bacon not as crispy as Id like but it was a good sandwich. Side salad was good. Calamari was crispy and not too chewy. The view was phenomenal and adds to the experience.
The lager battered fish & chips had the perfect crunch, and the rosemary salt fries were a hit.
The view of the dock added to the enjoyment.
Would have been better if they werent understaffed. Waited for ever for a server to take our order. Food was good but dont expect a quick lunch or dinner.
The surf & turf masala was a flavor explosion, with the chorizo and prawns being standout elements. Dining with a view of the marina was magical.
The apple pecan spinach salad was a refreshing mix of sweet and savory, perfectly complemented by the outdoor ambiance and gentle sea breeze.
The grilled romaine was a nice touch.
The chefs power salad bowl was not only healthy but also incredibly tasty, a great choice for a sunny day by the water.
The Pacific Coast Mulligatawny Soup had a comforting warmth, enriched by the fresh herbs and vegetables. The seaside view made it a serene experience.
Food was lovely Waiter was lovely Pressuring for a tip on young girls not very nice Proceeds to tell us that we should be tipping 18% ( was already going to tip in cash for the lovely food and kind / fast service) But the pressure was very unprofessional and explaining how it gets shared especially on young girls on a holiday who make minimum wage
There are a lot of seafood options and the fish tacos are my favorite, sitting on the water with the nice ocean view feels amazing.
This restaurant offers a unique dining experience on the sea with stunning ocean views, making it a true landmark. The service is exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff. Prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious and well-prepared. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal with a beautiful sea view. The beef dip is a must-try, perfectly tender and flavorful. Highly recommend!
Good food, Nice Service, Amazing view!
Sharing while overlooking the harbor was perfect.
Water side...need I say more!!
Food was amazing, Service was amazing Atmosphere was amazing Highly recommend Food : 5/5 |
The crispy calamari was perfectly seasoned and cooked, making it a must-try dish. The calm sea in the background made the meal even more enjoyable.
The garlic butter crispy calamari was a standout, with the aioli adding a nice touch. Enjoying it The Lighthouse wild nachos were a hit, thanks in part to the staffs recommendation for the perfect drink pairing, making the harbor lights seem even more magical.
The warmth and efficiency of the service while we savored the surf & turf masala made the meal as memorable as the stunning waterfront setting.
we ordered fish and chips, it was very tasty.
Our meal was complemented by the staffs friendly tips, from the savory beginnings to the classic vanilla crème brûlée dessert, all enjoyed with a panoramic sea view.
The attentive and friendly service added a special touch to our dining experience, making the mushroom and spinach linguine by the sea an evening to remember.
Waited 15 mi utes for them not to seat us. Soon as we arrived they saw us & advised they would be right with us. There were 2 servers not serving many people, with a lot of empty tables. Read the other reviews, don t waste your time or money.
Truly exceptional.
A gem of a restaurant.
The seaside setting is perfect for a romantic dinner or a family outing. Unbeatably good.
Truly exceptional! The views, the food, the ambiance - everything is just perfect.
Loved every moment here. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is divine.
If youre looking for a place to eat with a beautiful view and a mediocre meal/drink. This is it! Our food was alright, the Caesar tasted watered down, but watching the blue heron and boats was lovely! Food
Friendly service, food quality good
Deserves the highest praise.
A top-tier dining experience!
The fresh seafood and the ocean view make for an unforgettable meal.
Awesome
Add the friendly service, and youve got a winner!
Like the dishes especially the mussels pot with a hint of Thai fusion. The location is right at the marina side so perfect view. Services vary depending on how busy the place is.
In an area filled with restaurants serving mostly fried food or hot dogs, this restaurant offered a vegan dish called the Buddha Bowl which was fantastic! Delicious beer on tap, some of them local. Great atmosphere right down by the marina.
Always a fantastic experience
The sea view made it even more special.
The steak dinner was cooked to perfection, and the herb-infused potatoes were a great touch. Dining with the ocean as a backdrop made it unforgettable.
Place used to be amazing. Sold out and now its all curry and no fresh seafood. Even waitress admitted everything is deep fried and frozen. Not fresh. False advertising.
Sometimes, you can smell the engines of the planes, but it makes sense it(because there are planes landing. The waitresses were really nice. The food quality is okay, I got the lighthouse burger. It looks plain and taste plain. The sauces wasn t very appealing, taste dry. I wouldn t recommend it. The oysters are $4 each, fine and fresh, but very overpriced. I don t recommend coming here. Also there s no more seafood chowder.
The cheese cake was creamy and just the right kind of sweet.
Excellent place to have a good beer, local or not, beautiful view of the marinas, the mountains and excellent fish and chips! Impeccable and very warm service! I highly recommend!
Food was not nearly up to par especially when they are charging the prices they do on the other note me and my girlfriend both feel sick after our dining experience
The Lighthouse smash burger was juicy and flavorful, with the garlic butter making it stand out. The outdoor seating and the view enhanced the experience.
Overpriced . . . Hamburger ; $ 23.00 , Chicken tenders ; $ 21.00 & Hot Wings ; $ 22.00 ! Hot Wings $ 22 .00 ??!! Crazy . . . View / location is about the best part. We wont be back , just not worth it.
The sweet herb blackened chicken burger was a delightful surprise, with the perfect blend of spices. Eating it by the sea made it even better.
Service was understaffed...
We were put to our table very quickly, however after waiting over 20 minutes and seeing one of the servers doing anything but her job we decided it was time to leave, only then did she come over with a confused face and said nothing, 3 of the servers then huddled together, absolutely horrendous service do not go here!
Excellent lunch and tasty brews
Great food nice to see they offer space to painting parties
Delicious food, excellent views, welcoming atmosphere. Hard to ask for more!
Mushroom & Spinach Linguine was comforting and delicious.
The artichoke dip was amazing, especially with the sunset over the water as a backdrop.
Chowder average . Service great , A nice place on the waterfront .
Tried the zesty flatbread with chicken tinga on the patio and was blown away by both the flavor and the views.
The sausage bites with mustard garlic aioli were a delicious start to our meal.
Perfect, very well located, beautiful view but a little expensive
Cant get enough of them.
Celebrated my anniversary here and it was wonderful! Grilled Sausage Bites were mouthwatering.
Food was awesome and the staff excellent.
Worst of the worst. After ordering, we waited one hour, only to be told that 3 out of the group of 7 wouldnt be getting their ordered supper...salmon cakes. Why did take one hour to relay that from the kitchen ?? The place was not that busy.
Flame Grilled Caesar salad was a refreshing delight.
Sooo good. The waitress was so patient and attentive. Especially with the 45 min gap between our lunch party arrivals. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back
The Smartini s had a wonderful bonding experience
Great place
The fish tacos were a real treat, fresh and flavorful, with the grilled corn tortilla making a big difference.
Good food, good service. Its a bit pricey.
Came here for lunch during their operating hours and they weren t open. Wouldn t bother with a review but paid for parking and restaurant should know that maybe your staff isn t opening on time.
I just left the restaurant after meeting friends for dinner, sweet Jordan was our server. After waiting over an hour the kitchen messed up the order, sent out the wrong food. Jordan was very apologetic but the owner/ ? manager was being a bit of a jerk to our server- which we all witnessed. After seeing how you treat your staff, not sure I will return. Thank you Jordan for your hard work- we appreciated you PS the 3 stars are for Jordans effort, food gets 2 stars.
Disappointed went in to find service after waiting in line for 15 mins outside no one acknowledged us we went inside and the host told us she had a spot up stairs and the cook argued with her in front of us about not taking us. We left but left disappointed in how they handled the situation. When there were definitely tables available.
Food quality is bad
After a whole hour wait. The food was NOT worth it. Would never repeat.
ordered the nachos. and after an hours wait i received the worst meal i ve ever had. the nachos seemed to be days old and the chips tasted like paper. would not recommend anyone to go here.
Visited for a mothers Day celebration, the food was excellent and the view was stunning!
I think I may have sent a rather poor review on this restaurant a couple years ago... but thought we would give it another chance. Firstly our meals were decent. Pretty tasty actually. Our server was super sweet and tried to be attentive and apologetic about the state of this establishment. Now.... the view is about all this place has going for it, IF we could see out the dirty windows. WHAT A DUMP. Floors are filthy, the window sill at edge of our table was full of crumbs, dust and old food, the dirty wall beside our table had chippy paint. They were out of 3 items our party of 4 asked to order. When our food arrived, they only brought 3 meals and my hubby had to wait another 5-10 mins for his. So, she offered a free dessert, which they were all out of except 1 thing, which they forgot to make when our server ordered, so we just said forget it. Again, our server was wonderful, food was OK, but just basic fried up stuff . The owner of this place should be ashamed and hand it to someone who can make it the hot spot it should be considering its location.
We had a lovely server upstairs in the restaurant. She was attentive to us and got us seated and our order taken quickly. The whole restaurant filled quickly as it was Mothers Day. The poor girl had the whole upstairs to herself. Waited an hour and a half for our salads to arrive. Needless to say, we saw others get up and leave and food delivered to pub down below, much quicker. The food was good, but waiting that long was ridiculous. Wheelchair accessibility: Can access upstairs by ramp from outside.
Went there a few years ago with out of town friends. Waiter at the time was intoxicated. It was very obvious. Ended up sending an email to management. Havent gone back until yesterday with friends from Switzerland. Again, it was a very disappointing experience. Service was very slow. Waited 45min for food, mabye even longer. We got there around 4pm. The restaurant was not busy at all. My pasta was okay, but nothing spectacular. The $30 salad with a mediocre piece of salmon was missing the feta. The fish and chips had more batter then fish. Very underwhelming. Waitress was argumentative and made excuses for everything... not great customer service. The whole place also seemed very uninviting and not very clean. I likely wont be back. Unfortunately, this place doesnt have any competition, which is probably the reasons they are still able to operate they way they do.
I have never been so disappointed in a night out. First the waitress didnt know the menu or the available drinks. She kept going away to check and come back 5 minutes later with half answers. The menu had a few Gluten Free Options - the waitress was told 2 of our party were GF. We asked if we could have the burgers in lettuce wrap as neither of us like GF buns. NOPE, this could not be accommodated - No substitutions. $3 for a GF bun, extra for bacon, extra for cheese, extra for avocado - a burger with all the fixings? $40 - OH and the Fries were Costco fries - NOT GF. I ordered the GF Chicken tacos on Corn Tortillas - the waitress brought me the Chicken tacos (Deep fried on wheat tortillas) - When I asked if that was Gluten Free she advised YES! - I made her check - and then she brought me my chicken corn tacos, but had I eaten the other ones I would have been so sick. We were there over 90 minutes, our drinks were not refilled once, nor offered to be refilled. She never checked to see if the food was good. We asked for ketchup and it didnt arrive until we were almost done our meal. There is so much more to say, but I will say not worth the $$$$ I had to go get a burger in a lettuce wrap from A&W as the three tacos for $24 with no sides were completely not sufficient. I will not be back.
Great atmosphere, delicious and crispy fish & chips, steak frites. Of course the place can get very busy due to the popular location, but the staff and management were very nice and responsible.
Great food overlooking the harbour and marina. I just love sitting in a nice restaurant by the water and watching all the things happen in the marina.
Our waitress was young and overworked. She did a great job until a huge party of adolescent girl team showed up and ruined our evening due to their loud chatter. Food was mediocre not worth the price. Chairs were uncomfortable. Atmosphere a bit of a dump pub. We wont be back.
If you enjoy watching seaplanes come and go as I do, this is a great place to have a beer and some food. And enjoy the passing seaplanes and ferries.
What a rip off, double the prices for drinks but as the server said you gotta pay for the view there are many pubs with same or better view for half the price.. NOT RETURNING
Our waitress was great and is working so hard. But manager is overloading her with work and giving her non stop tables for herself to handle them instead of helping her over all it was a good time here will come again but hopefully when I do there will be more staff to support and the manager be more professional.
We had a spontaneous dinner at Lighthouse and it turned out to be the highlight of our week. The Fish Tacos is a must-try.
I took my partner to Lighthouse for a surprise date, and it was a hit. The romantic setting and delicious wine list made our night.
Great food, great service! Love sitting next to the ocean!
The apple pecan salad was the perfect blend of sweet and crunchy, ideal for a seaside day.
Amazing view and great ambience.
The new vegan menu has been eliminated, the new chef has taken previously vegan entrees and made them non vegan. Won t be back, it s a shame since they had some decent meals and it s close to me.
Service was best part of the meal, when you didnt hear the waitresses gossiping the whole time. Food was nothing special, strips had no flavor and was just processed chicken badly done. Tacos were packed too full so they fell apart instantly, and had chicken bones inside that thankfully were caught. No reason to come back here unfortunately.
Well become regulars and told our friends about it!
Not even close to full but have been being ignored for about 30 minutes. Standing at the Front. No effort to even speak with us. Awful service
Nice view, very overpriced for what it was.. waitress messed up our drink order, seemed like she preferred to sell me a canned drink than the mixed drink I had asked for. Very underwhelming for the prices paid
I m a cook and I was embarrassed for the establishment, I ordered the special , a chicken burger for 21 $ it was all batter and a thin slice of Chicken in the center . It was laughable, it s no wonder a place with a view like this is empty at the lunch rush !!
Had such a great experience at this beautiful little spot right on the harbour. The food and wine was delicious (had their salmon-pasta dish, followed down with a namino bar cheesecake pot), and the service was outstanding. Dining right on the change of light made for a beautiful view of all the boats, and then the lights coming on along the waterfront. Would absolutely eat there again.
Location is 10/10 but everytime we go the service is slow and no one seems to want to be there, some of the worst service Ive had in town. So much potential but sadly has gone downhill in last few years. Would still go for drinks on either patio but that s about it these days.
Charming ambiance and breathtaking views.
Ashley, the waitress was amazing! The food was great too!
Went for New Years Eve dinner. Made reservation for 7:00 pm, they confirmed for 6:00 pm. Less than basic pub menu. Thats it. Clam chowder was tasty pita bread was warm, tiny pieces and flat as a saltine cracker. Very strange. Wont be going back anytime soon.
The light house has done what they always do and mess up a good thing.too bad cant keep staff or a menu that lasts more than a month. Food sucks drinks suck and so overpriced..come on Michael get it together and clean the floor once and while.or you will never see anyone who actually lives downtown there. We all go the the firehouse grill or the old city station..all 500 of us in the building..such a shame
Food was absolutely horrible, and the service wasnt good either definitely wont be going back
The view is amazing. The beer was cold. The wings were perfect.
18% tips minimum. :)
food timing was off my main dish was brought out right after they had given me my chowder my food was cold by the time I finished my chowder. had the salmon fish and chips found the pc of fish on the small side. Cole slaw was nice and fresh . some of the patio tables have a nice view
Where do I start. Must be under new management and by someone that has no right running a restaurant. Zero people skills and no host service. Waited for 20 min before anyone acknowledged us and then we were asked to wait for 20 more when there were open tables. Had to complain directly to get the (dirty) table sooner. Beer was cold when they remembered to get it for us. Food was ok but not memorable. Ok so is it just me or if a restaurant seats a table should it not be for a full service. Several tables were told they could not order dessert because the kitchen was closed. Sorry will not be returning.
Not worth it. Pay for the view and that s about it.
Cool location and average food. Not much more to say. Food
Lighthouse Bistro is one of Nanaimos most excellent fine-dining restaurants. Dining here will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Youll enjoy the spectacular waterfront views and the splendor of the sunset. The food is impressive, featuring selections such as duck, several types of seafood, and steak. Every meal is outstanding. The staff is amiable and has excellent behavior. This level of expertise and professionalism cannot be found anywhere else.
We were in Nanaimo for a family event and we took visiting family to dinner to celebrate a birthday on Wednesday 23 Aug. They were understaffed but our server I believe her name was Mykayla, was outstanding in the service she provided , friendly and attentive.
The food was great, a little costly. The waitress we had was extremely rude from the beginning. She checked on us once. There was no introduction. Although, her name was Katie. We asked for cutlery and she said she was grabbing it in a rude tone. Not only that she told a table behind us that they were required to tip more. This is extremely disappointing.
Great views and good food
Great service, fair price.
200% satisfied with their service and amazing view at patio.
Food here is very sub-par. I got the chowder bowl and it was mostly potatoes. Nothing special at all. Definitely not for the price. Also got a salad also very basic. Chairs plastic? Really? No idea how anyone can rate this more than 2 stars. Maybe some people don t know good food. Beats me. I think I would not recommend and won t be going again.
Ordered a burger and I can tell it is with real ground beef. Juicy and yummy.
Dont go if youre hungry...or thirsty...or expect service...
Attentive waitress. Good service.
I hate to write this review but Terrible margarita. It tasted like watery lime juice. The server was trying so hard to accommodate everyone in the outdoor seating but it was slow. The fish and chips not good. Lots of overcooked crust and minimal fish. Fries were good and the coleslaw was flavorless. Our first bummer of a restaurant in Canada.
We waited at the host stand (sign said wait to be seated), and the staff member processed payment from a table (she was facing us) and then turned around to go inside. We tried entering from the inside of the restaurant, and she continued to ignore us (walked right by us). We were going to leave but decided to grab a table ourselves, as the employee was only serving 3 small tables. She ignored us for 15 minutes and then we left. Awful service!!
Food was meh. Server seemed uninterested in really serving us. Bit disappointed as the place was recommended to us.
The food are fairly priced. I hope the restaurant can add more vegan options
I came here with my family last weekend. The server is very attentive and the mussel is really fresh and juicy. Would recommend if you want to get a chill and cozy brunch!
Had an unforgettable girls night here. The cocktails were on point, and the appetizers such as chicken wings, nachos, and calamari were perfect for sharing. The lively atmosphere made it a night to remember. Highly recommended:)
Celebrated my wifes birthday here, and it was magical. The restaurants view was above and beyond. We took a couple of pictures with the help of the server. She also offered us a cute cake for the birthday celebration. The overall experience was incredible. I would recommend the Cajun Chicken Burger and the calamari, they are fresh and flavorful.
My spouse and I had a cozy dinner here. The dim lighting and soft music created a wonderful ambiance. The Seafood Chowder and fish tacos were amazing, and we left with full stomachs haha!
Our family dined here, and the highlight was the breathtaking harbor view. My kids were fascinated by the boats. The portion of the Seafood chowder and Classic Caesar were amazing. Food : 5/5
The view was very nice, hence the extra star. However the service was terrible, the waiter seemed to argue with me when I was just trying to ask what the weekly specials were. Also, please don t order the margarita. Worst margarita I ve ever had, we all tried it and agreed it was undrinkable Probably a premade mix
Dropped in to this spot based solely on the architecture and its unique positioning within the harbor. I wanted a good view, so I was offered to go upstairs, and im glad I did. The upstairs had a crows nest feel to it, surrounded by windows which really excentuated the harbor view. Nice! I was greated by two staff members and ultimately was served by Ashley, who is relatively new to working there. Ashley was fantastic in the sense that she was incredibly ingaging and knowledgeable about the beers offered on tap. After ordering, Ashley continued to make me feel welcome. She made what could have easily been an average 2 beer pub experience into a pleasant and memorable interaction. Therefore my rating is based on the location and staff interaction experience. I did not try any food. Picture is from upstairs window overlooking the harbor.
We arrived around 5:30 to line up on a Saturday. Let me just say, it was totally worth the wait. It was such a tasty journey. The prawn linguini was cooked to perfection and was my favorite. Chef Kiss! Cannot wait to go back and try more.
Upon our arrival, we were welcomed by a cozy and inviting atmosphere that embraced us from the very beginning. The service exceeded our expectations, with the waiter offering outstanding recommendations tailored to our preferences. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and look forward to returning soon.
This bistro is a hidden gem by the harbor. The view alone is worth a visit, and the seafood and taco options are delicious.
We celebrated our sons birthday here, and it was a hit with the kids. The staff brought out a special dessert with candles, and the whole restaurant joined in to sing Happy Birthday. Memorable celebration!
The staff was incredibly accommodating. Would definitely come back because of the service!
Prices were reasonable for their dishes with the great view. We sat at the table in the outdoor area and it was a bit chilly. But the view is incredible and the server was attentive.
Great food and excellent service. Reasonably priced and a varied menu to choose from.
The service was a bit slow, but they are super friendly and helpful. Perfectly al dente!
Its a must-visit for a laid-back meal. The fish and chips were crispy and fresh. I will come again for the view.
Great place right on the water with panoramic views.
Great Fish and Chips and the Island Time Lager is outstanding!
My boyfriend ordered and chicken tenders, and they were dry and stringy.
Great location - right on the harbour. Server was friendly. Food was disappointing. My daughters burger was bland and her fries were cold. She had to pay extra for each topping which brought the price up over $30. And it was cold and bland. I got seafood chowder which was fair. We should have said something but its such an uncomfortable position to be put in. We wont be returning.
We visited off season, but enjoyed their seafood and drink options and cool location in the marina. Parking: Marina lot next to Bastion, or street parking.
The facility, the location and the views are excellent. Food was just OK.
Had a vegan dinner there, for a special event. My food was tasty! The fettuccine could have been better with a bit of sauce or broth. But, great flavour with really fresh ingredients! Great atmosphere and amazing view, looking over the harbour lights. Superb service!
I think the patio would be awesome for a drink in the summer. They recently put out a new menu with vegan options on it, and I was excited to try it out. I was disappointed. We had a burger and the pasta dish, and I found the burger dry, and lacking in flavour- especially since you can do basically anything to a vegan patty to jazz it up- and the pasta was plain, bland and oily. I said it to a friend this week that it is hard to be a pretend vegan and get it right, and this feels like that. Someone who is not vegan, and doesn t want to be, trying to give options to people. Nice idea, but like make it GOOD. So as for what I would say about this place; at least they are trying. I do appreciate that. There are options for vegans at this restaurant. I just can t promise you will love them.
A little over priced for the food quality. Youre paying for location I guess.
Food is an issue. But it has fantastic views.
When we visited, our server was incredibly rude and claimed to be part of the management team. We won t be going back.
The staff here are so friendly and inviting. It makes the seafood dishes taste even better ! I would recommend the fish and chips, they are golden perfection, and the view is simply breathtaking. Food
Great view of the harbour. But the food was burnt, crusty, and unappealing.
