Used to work here, great team, great Management, even better food. I’ve enjoyed subway my entire life and it’s all about personalization. Don’t be scared to experiment, and always build your own sandwich. Pro subway worker tip: Always toast your sandwich with some onions and sweet onion sauce on it, and always toast a footlong at least 1 and a half times, 40 to 60 seconds for the best results.
Food are so good because Subway give you borrow the washroom after travelling , in the neighbourhood, Starbuck, Shopper, Esso gas station, low food , they did not lend you. If you travel to this area . Only go to Subway, also before restaurant Chinese Young any Bible tea next door the Ypung don’t let you borrow their toilet. Avoiding this restaurant and food for dinner or lunch just go straight to Subway. Food very good and servers are friendly .
Came in with friends to get some food and drinks I got a 2 medium fountain drinks went to fill mine and the machine wasn’t working properly I was not told by any of the people working there I tasted it and it was still and no sparkling water in whatsoever. Went to tell the guy at the cash register and he denied a refund or for me to get a bottled drink instead. Worst service in Nanaimo would not recommend to anyone not sure what the guys name was but he has a bandanna on as well as a black turban. Extremely disappointed as it’s my to go spot. 0 stars
Today I ordered a sandwich I have been ordering the exact same way for years. It's a veggie patty with all the veggies. It's a lot of toppings so I have no issue if the sandwich is occasionally a bit messy, but usually this isn't an issue. Today the lady who made my sandwich at this subway stuffed it with so many veggies she couldn't even begin to close it. The sandwich was basically open face with sauce everywhere and one of the veggie patties folded in half and falling out of the sandwich. I asked her to fix it before she wrapped it but I was ignored. When I got to the till I tried to explain my issue and was ignored again, just asked if I wanted to make my order a meal. I unwrapped the sandwich to show the man at the till, who when present with the disaster of a sandwich just kept asking "how are we supposed to close it?" No attempt was made to address the issue in any way. Like I said, it's a lot of toppings so I can understand if the sandwich is a bit messy, but in my lifetime of ordering from subway this was by far the most careless and unprofessional experience I have ever had at any store. With the prices they are charging these days this level of customer service is unacceptable. Thankfully I was able to go to a different subway (terminal st) and they made my sandwich perfectly.
Hey writing reviews like this, but not impressed at all. Staff is constantly making subs, then handling Cash, and going back to make subs with the same gloves on. I have to ask almost every time for them to please change them, because I either just watched them handle cash, and not change gloves. I’ve asked them numerous times, and explained I’m not being rude, but it’s just not food safe at all, and actually very gross. Someone could definitely get sick. I’m also not a germhaohobe, but money is not clean at all, and it’s 100% not food safe. Wasn’t sure how to rate stars, because service is fine, and it’s fresh, but as for atmosphere they also put all chairs up hours before closing, and it’s not very inviting.
June 14: around 8pm Worst customer service And already started closing when the store was closing at 10pm And when asked for washroom acess they said its out of order. Later one of their friends were in asked in washroom they let them in . As a customer i feel offended when you spend money at store and you don’t get access and some random friend comes in didn’t spend a dollar and he is getting the access . This location gives much smaller portions and puts much less meat in subs than other locations. This is a consistent pattern. Other nearby locations put 2 to 3 times more meat in their subs. Not acceptable. I won’t be visiting this location anymore.
Kind staff but definitely feel that the quality and quantity of the servings at this location are declining.... Each time I go in, I'm given less and less meat and given a different reason why. went in and ordered a regular steak and cheese wrap ( my usual) and was given half the amount of meat I typically receive from any other location - when I asked about it they said this was the correct amount by management.... Even when I pointed out on their website it shows at least twice the amount (and that most other locations give half a tub for regular) they said I could add more for extra charge. Thinking I won't be visiting this location for my lunches anymore my wrap felt empty and bland even after I asked for extra toppings :(

I came in for the roasted chicken breast, well its discontinued. Got some shredded chicken, the girl gave me the smallest amount yet I paid $12. 29 with fountain drink for 6 inch. subway needs to bring back the chicken breast. This is horrible.
Always outa bread when I go there, and Subway makes their own bread so there just to lazy to there jobs . Just a waste of gas even going to this location.
Frustrating trying to make a sub with a worker that has zero interest. This location is dead to me.
They were completely out of bread! Right at the start of the lunch rush. And their veggies looked very sad like they were quite a few days old. Placed in a very busy mall. Sadly, there were kids beside us vaping and rolling weed at the table next to us. Staff noticed and said nothing. I asked them if they could do something about it, but they said they werent comfortable confronting the people on the matter. They said, its whatever, they do it all the time. I am very likely going to avoid this restaurant.

My brother got food poisoning. When we called, they were very rude. They also said to call Skip the Dishes and Skip said to call them, and we did. They were also very rude and disrespectful. The food was very old as well. NOT going back to them again. Zero stars at this point.

I have had 2 very negative experiences at this location. 1. I had ordered a footlong and just had to chose my sauce. I asked if I could put a stripe of a new sauce they had just on half to try it. The worker simply answered yes. They then charged me for 2 6 inch sandwiches costing me significantly more. 2. I went in with a coupon stating buy one subway series footlong and a drink and get the second sandwich of equal or lesser for $3. They refused to honour it stating the sandwich of equal or lesser also had to be a subway series. The worker was rude and cut me off. Told me that the computer wouldn t let them, without any thought of customer service or a workaround. Wouldn t let me even explain that I was confused because that is not what the coupon says. All after us waiting patiently for both workers on staff to complete several online orders. We walked out and won t be back.
3 times in a row when I have ordered from here, they ve gotten something wrong. Don t remember the first one but the second one, they forgot my drink, and this time, forgot a whole half of my sub. I paid for a footlong italian bmt and they gave me 6 . How do you even mess that up?
I got a veggie pattie 12 inch sub. My partner got turkey bacon guac wrap. The subs were made right and food was fresh.. I like that they have lower calorie options. Also got $2 off with Subway Points
The girl that was working was really unprofessional flipped out on us when all my sister asked was for more pickles.
I love Subway but this particular one had some employees that laughed at my order, whoever catches them doing this should report to their superior. I dont walk into a store and laugh at the employees so why on earth should they disrespect me by laughing.
Best sandwich artist ever! I asked one question about which of two options has less calories and from that point on he could read my mind! Made fantastic suggestions and as a result I got exactly what I wanted! I m so thankful this location is close to my home.
This is by far the best Subway I have ever been to. The sandwich artists are just that Artists. Each sub is prepared carefully and they follow your instructions perfectly. I will forever drive the extra distance past another certain subway which does not take their pride in their service.
Food prep is great, store is clean, service is perfect. One gripe. So being cheap and watering down your pop machine.. I got a ginger ale with no fizz one day, poured it out, switched it up, same thing. Calibration is waaay off. Feels intended.
They make the best SUBS
Ordered a sub off of skip the dishes and they forgot half of my ingredients.. I called to complain and they asked if I could go pick up new sub and I explained I ordered off of skip the dishes so I didn t have to drive in the snow.. I asked if I could get a free sandwhich a different day and they called me back and asked if I could bring in the sandwhich when I go to get the free sub.. honestly ridiculous not sure how you could forget cheese, sauce and veggies on sub. Very disappointed. Don t recommend this location.
Caution: At the time of this review, there is a male employee at this location using terms of endearment with female customers, which is demeaning and infantilizing, even after he was told to stop. If other women experience this behaviour, write to head office so they have it on record.

I ordered a footlong BMT on Italian herb and cheese with double meat. He then proceeded to put a regular. Amount of meat on my sandwhich and when I asked him to put double the meat he didnt listen. He then charged me for double meat when it was a regular sandwhich...

Thieves , They were very rude when I had to return back to the store because the woman making the next persons in lines sub was hasty and rude- she muscled her way between our subs- and what did she achieve in her haste? Nothing- she mixed up our subs with the next persons- she crowded everyones space- she gave us terrible service. Then we drive all the way home and all the way back. She does not care- I ask for a refund or discount of at least 5$- gas twice to get a sub???? I guess you do not value our patronage- We will NEVER eat there again. Disgusting woman with terrible ethic! I dont want freebies- just what I pay for. THIEVES!!!!!!!

This was by far the worst experience at a subway ever!!! The employees were rude and did not make the sandwich proper. I understand they are foreign but they need customer service skills taught and maybe a refresher on sandwich making

Extremely frustrating and disappointing. Multiple staff behind the counter and just myself and daughter in the store trying to order but kept having to stop and repeat and wait for them to interrupt their personal conversations in order to complete our order. Just finished waiting 20 minutes for a sandwhich as the only customer in sto re. Orginally order steak and gauc wrap 1/2 way through they said no gauc... to be easy I said ok can we make it a steak and gauce sandwhich the guy went to the back and started bringing out containers prepping the line and ignored me... fast forward 10 minutes the re anckoledge me and make me the sandwhich at which point 1/2 through they say thier toasters broken. no apology. I call bs and that they didnt wanna clean it again, I cam in a full hour before closing ....
Dont use the app they make the sandwich with the poorest quality ever! There was barely any sauce on my sandwich. I literally ask for extra spinach and peppers and i got 3 leaves & not even a single sliced pepper. This app is the biggest rip off ever! My aswell light 20$ on fire.
Ordered through the app. I am once again disappointed with the quality of my sandwich. Asked for extra spinach and green pepper. No green pepper on it at all no Parmesan cheese no banana pepper. It is a total joke to use this app and this subway location. Basically all bread no filling.

Snooty staff member complained about how/what we wanted on our sub. No huge lineup behind us. Maybe she should shut her trap and listen before commenting so she could realize it was simple.

This location is often low on bread in the mornings. I went there this evening and was lucky enough to get one of the last few peices of bread ( they are still open for close to 3 hours)....even tho they had lots of bread ready and cooled being prepared for another location.... To top it off the bathrooms were closed for the cleaningg. I will be driving to other locations in the future.
