Nemo Sushi To Go Nanaimo in Nanaimo

I ordered a Bento box I was waiting a little longer than I thought I would but a staff member apologized for the wait. Food was tasty too.

Food was pretty average. The salmon don was more like a poke rather than a normal salmon don.

It was the first time I went to Nainamo. The kids wanted to eat sushi, and then I read the reviews. The pictures were more attractive compared to the sushi pictures at other restaurants. We originally planned to order set meal C, but found that set meal D was more attractive. After waiting for about ten minutes, the sushi made on site was ready, and the children loved it. I will choose this store again if I have the chance next time, highly recommended! Kid-friendliness: Great selection of sushi, kids loved it

Best salmon sashimi and chicken karagi

Got extremely sick from eating here, my sushi had sat on a counter for 30 mins until I received it! NOT REFRIGERATED. Spent $45 just to get sick and had to miss work for 2 days. Update: Cost of meal was refunded, typically they will put food in a fridge after a few minutes of it being out but it was a very busy day and the name for my order was mistaken. Somewhat understandable mistake, things happen I guess. Still I unfortunately had to deal with the food poisoning.

I placed an order for take out. The service was slow, the food wasn t good. The roll was falling apart and the rice and salmon was very dry. While waiting for my order I noticed how dirty the restaurant was.. sticky table, dirty floor. The staff was nice though

Have you guys never heard of a dynamite roll? It does not have crab in it. You should really show the ingredients because I would not have ordered it. The tako yaki was awesome and the other sushi was decent. The gyoza tastes/looks like Costco pot stickers. Portions are good. Probably wont be ordering again though.

Nemo is my go-to for sushi in its convenient location and open during some days others just arent! The staff are always so great and make my day! Consistently great food, try their rice bowls, I absolutely love them and its a great price for lunch on the go!

Small little store with a lot of heart! The employees and owner show they care and make great food. Recently, I had to limited my carbs and wasnt sure a sushi place was the best idea but the owner/cook made me a donburi with veggies instead of rice. Going above and beyond really making my experience a great one. Ive ordered here before without restrictions and the sushi is tasty too! Lots of options for the sushi or Japan-dish lover. With most specialty places like sushi the cost has a bit of a premium but happy about the price to quality here. A solid choice for some sushi made with love!

My first time here. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a happy salmon roll. Both fresh and flavourful. Prompt and friendly service. I will definitely go back and try some other items, as i was happy with the quality and the price point!

ordered delivery. everything was delicious but there were a couple of things I didn t like (they didn t give me chopsticks and a napkin + very little soy sauce for the combo). I ordered a second time (they put chopsticks and napkins) but there is no container for soy sauce and still not enough 2 bags for the combo

Some food was ok unfortunately I didn t like the wontons in the soup.

We got food for pick up. Im not sorry to say that this was horrible food! Wrong drinks. No utensils to eat it with! The deep fried food was soggy in our Don Buri bowl and hardly any teryaki sauce. Our Wasabi was smothered all over our sushi. No care in the packaging. I know it may sound as if Im just picky but trust me when I say, find somewhere else!

Had takeout from here for my fiancés birthday meal. It was great and came in 15-20 minutes. Well done Nemo!

I have been ordering delivery from Nemo since moving to Nanaimo in 2021 upon commencing my studies at VIU. Their food and service is unparalleled, there is no other place like them!!! From the fresh fish, perfectly seasoned rice, and delicious appetizers, you cannot go wrong. Absolutely amongst the best sushi I ve had, and I have eaten at countless restaurants (sushi compromises most of my diet>:) Definitely amongst the best on the island. Something that they did, I m not sure if they do anymore, is personalized sticky notes thanking the customer for their order. It was a lovely touch and helped me see the brighter side of life when I was struggling. Food is top-notch quality and consistent. Staff is always fantastic! from the outside it looks dingy, but they have great sushi to go at reasonable prices. If you want to quickly pick up some sushi, this is the place to go. I was genuinely surprised by the quality of the sushi.

This was our go to Sushi place for years until a few months ago when we were treated poorly by the girl at the counter. We decided to give them another shot this past weekend and the same girl gave us the same bad service. We are treated as if we are inconveniencing her by coming in. She is unfriendly and unwelcoming. The woman who used to be there was so happy, friendly and knew us by name. Sadly we will not return.

We ordered take out sushi. It was okay. Considering it was so close to the ocean expect everything to taste more fresh, however it did not. The food was okay, but not excellent!

It is a very good place to get take out sushi. The place is clean, the staff are very friendly and the service was great. The rolls were well made, the ingredients are fresh, and tasty. Overall very good value if you are looking for a quick to-go sushi meal. The restaurant is also conveniently located very close to Departure Bay Ferry Terminal.

The prices are very reasonable, the fish is fresh, the sushi is always satisfying, and the menu covers a wide variety of styles (including rare finds). I love the local feel of the shop, and the workers there are so nice, coordinated, and thoughtful. This is my favorite sushi place in Nanaimo, due to the quality, consistency, and affordability. I recommend trying it to everyone who is able.

I love Nemo Sushi the people here are kind and grateful youve come they make the rice just like the Japanese do with a touch of apple cider vinegar and always fresh and a good bargain for their platters plenty of food to feed everyone a regular stop for my family and I as they are centrally located in terminal Park Mall behind the TD Bank go check them out you wont be disappointed

This has to be a hidden gem of Nanaimo for Sushi. Fresh ingredients, and oh so tasty sushi. Better than a number of high end sushi restaurants we ate at in Vancouver. A must go to if you are in Nanaimo.

DISGUSTING!! Went in for food and half the toppings on the sushi were not mentioned, the crab and prawns smelt like they d been left out for a few days and smelt like rotten meat as soon as I opened the lid. I called back to explain my issue and they offered Zero help, and said there s nothing they can do. Just go anywhere else besides here. Low quality in every aspect.

Today, I went to try this restaurant for the first time. I went in for lunch, and grabbed Take-out. Half the toppings on the sushi were not mentioned, and it smelt awful, and seems to have gone bad. I called, the guy told me, I was wrong, and they always have fresh food, and products. No refund, apology. Extremely not understanding, and they really don t care about their customers. I will never order over the phone, and go to this place ever again.I will tell everyone to stay away from this toxic place.

Always tasty and reasonable prices, only place in town that does a Inari roll. Literally only place in nanaimo. Mostly for takeout but has like 3 tables to eat in.

Probably been there about 10-15 times now, and every time I have ordered from there it has been perfect. It even feels a bit like an old school sushi to go place, a few seats but very charming. Easily my favourite sushi place in Nanaimo. A++

Great service, super friendly staff and our dinner is always ready in 20-30 minutes. Some of the sushi is a bit sweet but the nigiri and rolls are good and the fish is fresh. I recommend the spicy tuna nigiri. And we always have a complimentary nigiri slipped in our order. A nice touch.

Sushi is mediocre. The portion sizes are quite small for the price. Ive ordered from here 4 times now hoping the sushi would get better. Maybe because I m comparing to Nori sushi, which is our main jam.

Incredibly fresh tuna, scallop and salmon. The portions of fish in each roll is very generous and the prices are so reasonable. Chicken teriyaki bowl was also very good. This is a must stop for takeout if you re heading to the ferry!

Have ordered a few times now through both Skip and UberEats. The food is consistently wonderful and very reasonably priced. I certainly appreciate the complimentary piece of Inari I have received a time or two with my orders. Great show of customer service and lovely consideration. Will be back again =)

The spicy tuna roll that I have always gotten from here was absolutely disgusting and I actually spit it out. The quality of all three items that I got were terrible and I will never be ordering it again and if it was up to me I would have given a zero stars but unfortunately you have to give it at least a one star. I have been ordering from here for a few years now but hadnt in the last few months and I thought I would give it a try again since none of the wonderful places were delivering on skip the dishes anymore but old trusty Nemo Sushi was still delivering on skip the dishes. And now I can see why! Dont waste your time or money please. I ate one item out of the three items

Nemo s sushi has always been my family s favorite spot for sushi for both the great food and the very friendly staff! I want to thank the chef and staff who really went above and beyond in the service they provided the last time our family came in. The chef remembered my family member s favorite dish and went out of his way to provide us with this complimentary roll and wish us well. This kind gesture really went a long way and brightened our evening. We highly recommend Nemo s sushi!

New owners! They just reopened yesterday Our first impression - good prices, open till 8 most nights, excellent Sushi and lots of new menu items . We plan to go back tomorrow to try out something new.

The food is no doubt great. But I noticed today with my first visit with new owners they added a huge tip themselves before my tap. My own fault I guess for not looking. I feel thats a dishonest way to do business though.

My favorite place in town and Ive never even stepped foot in there. I order through skip the dishes a lot because its delicious and they are fast. Recently they threw in an extra order of one of my regular items with a sticky thank-you note and a damn smiley face drawn on it.. They give INCREDIBLE customer service to a customer they have never even met!! Everyone eat HERE! This is my sushi place now, and I will kill and die for you Nemo!!

Ordered takeout and everything was fresh and delicious, handwritten note with an extra nigiri is something Ive never experienced in my MANY sushi orders, so will definitely choose this place more often. Glad I tried them for the first time, was the best first impression for takeout Ive ever had. Rolls were delicious and good sized, prices fair, and sauces were delicious.

They do a wonderful job on their fresh sushi. They have several party tray options and they are pretty quick about it. I ordered and 10 minutes later I had enough to bring to my sons birthday party.
