Stopped in to one of my favorite places for fish and chips to be totally disappointed by the terrible soggy,oily mess they served us, disgusting! Dont waste your time or money.

Was a favorite place until they recently changed their fries which are now disgusting. Fish, shrimp etc all delicious but won t be back bc of the fries.

Fries burnt. Server did not ask how meal was until almost done. Then when asked, too late to ask for better fries. When told fries were not ate because burnt,, was not taken off bill, just asked if we wanted another order....we were on way out...too late for time to eat with meal!!!

Ordered a hot turkey dinner. Its was so dry I couldnt eat it I told the waitress Donna and she did nothing to fix it. I got the bill tipped my 15 percent but will never go back. The power of money is this. I wont spend it there anymore. We went there on the regular. Not anymore.

I ordered the haddock dinner which came with a large portion of coleslaw, an excessive amount of fries and a good sized piece of fish. Unfortunately, the coleslaw was meh, the fries were bad and the batter was gross. The coleslaw tasted ok, I guess. The cabbage was fresh but the dressing was soupy. The unseasoned fries were overcooked and yet soggy. The batter on the fish had absorbed its weight in oil and for some reason the outside was crispy but the inside was soggy. The fish inside was good; it was the only part that I ate. The tartar sauce wasnt good and the plate didnt come with any lemon. On the other hand, my husband ordered the burger and it was decent. Thats the only reason I didnt give 1 star. The decor was cute. They had fish trophies hung around the dining area. Oh ya and the soap in the bathroom smelled gross too. We wont be returning. I wasnt going to tip at all but I felt bad for the sweet waitress. It s not her fault the food is terrible and plated poorly.

Oceanana was an excellent server, professional and very knowledgeable, food was fantastic, liver and onions to die for, fish and chips were also excellent go have a bite you wont be disappointed and the price is excellent

I really enjoy the food and service at fish n chips. the servers are super kind and always welcoming, the quality of the food shows how dedicated the cooks are to their job. Best part of all the portions are hugeeeeeee so you are really getting you moneys worth.

Ok the food is incredible but paying over 120 dollars to feed 4 people ya ridiculous. These fish Im eating better have gold in them. The prices are outrageous here

Still the best fries in the area. The absolute best fish....and I grew up eating fish regularly.

A friend and I stopped to eat here before an event, hoping it would be quick. There were 2 other older couples already eating when we sat down. We quickly got the menu, for a fish and chips place they had much more other stuff than they did fish and chips. We ordered simple things in hopes we could get nit fast and head to our event. She got a BLT, and I got a chicken wrap. It took 30 minutes to get our food, and a couple of things were wrong. Im not sure if I would return.

We just got back from Nappanee Fish and Chips. Very welcoming staff and great service. The food was amazing. Best Mozza sticks we have ever had, and we have tried them at a lot of restaurants. Also, we got a sample of their beef and barley soup. Home cooked and will be on our order next time we go back.

Never get breaded shrimp. It is flat all breading & you can barely taste the shrimp. As for the Ceasar salad, the dressing is the worst I have ever tasted. If you want great shrimp, go to Captain Georges. It is light fluffy & even beats out Red Lobster . They need to just stick with Fish & Chips. Have always enjoyed the Halibut. Will know better next time.

Our family ate here for the first time tonight . And it was amazing. We ordered 3 club wraps , Fries and onion rings . The food was absolutely fantastic. Had it delivered and still warm . Lived here 5 years wish we would have ordered here sooner . We did call in to tell the owner or manager/ cook tonight how amazing it was. We do recommend trying . Our experience was great and we will be eating there again . Thanks to the restaurant for the first experience on great food

They re today for first and last time!The fish was dry and overcooked,coating was hard, plus the fries were terrible, and also found a bone in my fish, lucky I found it before a choking accident!

We ordered the haddock, fries and coleslaw, Greek salad, and boss burger. Fish and chips were good and large, even the kids portion was a good size! My wife wasnt a fan of the Greek salad (the olives were not pitted) there was no potato salad, pretty basic... My daughter liked the boss burger, but didnt realize the bacon was actually peameal. Service was great!

I had my Father Day dinner today with my husband and son. We spend over $100 for 3 dinners there. Fries were old and brown ( Fried a few times) I know how fresh potatoes looks like Fish cooked ( old )and just toss it into the batter. No wonder it wasn t busy at all , Compare the next door restaurant where probably food is more fresh.

We were there for the first time and all I can say is wow the food the service and the staff are amazing and the portion of food is well worth the money we will be stopping buy every time we drive throw.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious, I had the halibut with half fries and coleslaw, the batter on the fish was absolutely perfect, the fish was thick and flakey,the fries were delicious and the coleslaw was flavorful and the tarter sauce was spot on, compliments to the chef and a huge thank you to our server. Definitely going back again.

We visit here every once in a while just to see if people have changed. Dont get me wrong their food is of excellent quality. But sometimes the staff hover above you when you try enjoy a peaceful dinner out with your wife. A clean and tidy place and food us good

I stopped in with friends for lunch, the portions were worth the price, the Haddock and fries were excellent, I I didnt like the coleslaw but overall it was all great place for lunch.

Better than expected, being a fish & chip restaurant! Clean, bright with fish decor. Very friendly, pleasant, authentic service (i.e. not artificially chummy). Fish was fresh. Fish is excellent. Lightly battered and the coleslaw omg. Great spot to get your fish fix. But also has a variety of other regular options on the menu.

Food was awful. Fish had so much batter and grease. Was hard to find the fish . Fries were cooked twice. From experience, the fries were already cooked and they put them back into the grease to warm them up. Salad was rubber, old. Far from Fresh. Very disappointed. Our complaint was brought to the cook/owner, who knows, nice server said They will try not to let that happen again $60 for 2 people Server was very very nice.

The ambiance is simple but nice, clean and appropriate - big, beautiful stuffed marlin and other fish on the walls. A nice mixture of booths and tables. Fabulous high ceilings. Different sized tables, and not on top of one another. We went for a late lunch on Sunday (one of the few places actually opened on a Sunday!), around 2:30 p.m., and there were a few other tables occupied. We were encouraged to sit where we liked (not forced to sit in the same area as others for ease of service). There are large booths with reserved signs on them, held for larger groups if needed (would fit 8 easily). We were only 2, and as one of them was our preferred location, we asked if they mineded if we did sit in one, and they let us take a big booth, which was very kind. First time there, and we had to have fish and chips (but note, the menu has ample offerings - definitely something for everyone here!!). The Haddock was fantastic!! Huge portions (of everything). 2 big, lightly coated (perfect consistency and flavour), thick, and fresh, beautifully white pieces of fish. Nice and light in flavour - not fishy. Great fries - worth the splurge. And the Greek salad too was incredible- loads of feta and other ingredients (they didnt skimp). At $20.99 it might seem a little on the expensive side for fish and chips but, worth it - one plate could have been shared by 2 most certainly, but we were able to share our different sides and got a nice, recyable take-away container to put our leftovers in (enough for another meal!). A lovely tasting tartar sauce accompanied the fish. They have white and malt vinegar bottles, and S&P already on the tables. And their house wine was a nice compliment to the fish - Peller (ON) Sauvignon Blanc, and at $5.99 for a 5oz glass, we had to! (And their litre option was $15.99! Amazing prices). The server was kind, and the food didnt take too long to come. I hear they are under new management, so if you have been before and didnt have a good experience, Id highlybrecommend you give them another try. Our first time there, and we will definitely go back!!! Parking: Parking is right out front of the entry door. The restaurant is in a small strip mall. Kid-friendliness: There was one table with 2 small children and they looked to be well attended to.

Very disappointed...drove in from Belleville on Sunday. Website said open at 11am on Sunday. They werent open. Waste of a trip. Please if you advertise open on Sunday 11am till 2pm you should be there.

I came in here a few weeks ago . I was treating my Mom to dinner as it was her birthday . We ordered at the takeout window and im guess it was the owner we dealt with . The owner yelled at me about if i did not want to tip i didnt have to . I am very short so i was trying to read the options for tipping i always tip . Then im sitting down waiting for our food my 10 year old son was only looking over the counter to watch them make the food again owner yells at my son to sit down . I have never been to a place that gets mad at a child for watching . Next was an order was ready i was told it was mine so i went to grab it again im being yelled at that its not my food and going over what i ordered im sorry i was told it was mine and i cant see in the containers . I also felt very bad for the empolyee he was also yelling at . The food was good but the owner is very rude to customers . There was no need or reason for it at all . Not a good first impression . I will not be returning

This is not your typical Fish and Chips restaurant. They have a lot of menu items to choose from that are made fresh to order. Be warned, however the portion sizes are quite generous, so bring your appetite.

Ordered takeout. The person taking orders by phone was friendly but curt and dismissive. This created an uncomfortable interaction that did not welcome additions to the order or providing information about allergies. Food was good. The small Greek salad was a good size. Food was prepared quickly and was easy to pick up. But the service left much to be desired. Did not eat in so unable to give a reasonable review of the atmosphere.

Ive been looking for a restaurant like this place for a while, Food, was fish and chips, excellent fish, excellent chips( real chips!) Not bagged ones. Cooked to perfection! Buttery texture inside, crispy on the outside. Service, excellent! Just the humor, and get OT done attitude. Looking forward to the next stop in try other menu options. Ps dessert was real! Not a box dessert!

Dont take card payments. Servings of fries are large but fish is more batter than fish. Service was ordinary and prices are correct.

Wonderful food, wonderful staff. Right off the 401, perfect place to grab some delicious food on the way through.

We used to frequent often however on a recent visit the lovely server sat us at the table only to be viciously reprimanded for forgetting that the specials were on the menu in print. Manager LOUDLY swore and chastised the sweet server, (and we sat at furthest table from kitchen), calling her brutal swear words including the R word and I with everyone in the restaurant turning to listen. Our party could not stand for such blatant and disgusting disrespect for the employee let alone a human being, we promptly left and will never return. I thank the server for her kindness and I apologize for this man treating her as such.

Last nights dinner, excellent halibut. The dinner we each ordered was the halibut with a 1/2 order each of fries and Cole slaw. Dont believe it. A large piece of delicious halibut, the side of Cole slaw is the same as you would find in most restaurants. The 1/2 order of fries is at least twice what you would get in most places. Wonderful service

What an absolute embarrassment of an establishment. Bought a Pepsi from the very front of their fridge earlier today only to start drinking it and discover it expired in August 2022 after realizing its foul taste. If the owner is reading this, I highly recommend checking the dates for all drinks currently in possession. Selling beverages that have expired well over a year ago is just sad and a few dollars Im never getting back. The food itself was fine but Im surprisingly annoyed over this ordeal. Never once in my life have I bought an expired drink like this.

This was my first time ordering from Napanee Fish & Chips, and I could not be happier. I ordered take out, so cannot speak on service and atmosphere, but the food was amazing. I ordered the open face turkey sandwich; the portions were huge, the food was hot and tasted home made, and the prices were great. Will definitely be back!

Don t go! Horrible! Go anywhere else. Went with my family. That meat was not cooked. The fish had gone bad. They got the order wrong 3 times. Everything seems like Costco rejects. Took over an hour to get our food after ordering and the place was 1/4 full. The chef was rude to the staff. The only good parts are the waitresses who were nice and the mounted fish. Don t waste your time here. They don t deserve your business.

Great Halibut with Chips!

Finally tried this place after driving by many times. My partner got the halibut and chips and said its the best hes had since moving here from the UK. I had the souvlaki dinner, it was super tasty and was enough for a couple meals for me :) will definitely be back!

We stopped in for lunch on Sat Feb 12/22. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Waitress was super friendly and the cook even came out to ask us how our lunch was. It was delicious with plenty of food for the price. We will be back for sure

Rude, bad service and mediocre, overpriced food. I ordered halibut on a bun. When I went to pay with a credit card, I was told 3% extra, ok, no problem. Then I was told Just bring cash and its easier. I noticed it was over $19 and all I ordered was a sandwich but at this stage I didnt balk. I was then told it would be 10-15 minutes. How long does it take to fry a piece of fish and put it on a bun? Then I asked Im parked right outside, can you ask the other fellow (Guy on cash) to bring it out? Cook barked I dont bring it out, come back in 10 and it will be there (on the counter). I waited in the car. When I picked it up, they added fries, without telling or asking me. Even if you take off $6 for fries, $13 is top dollar for Halibut on a hamburger bun. The fries were soggy but I ate a few anyway. Fish was ok, not great, not terrible. They seemed more concerned with THEIR convienience than providing good service. Ill save them the inconvenience of getting any further of my business. Do NOT recommend.

Im not a fish lover. My wife suggested we try it out. When we walked in, I found it friendly, open and clean. Waitress was really friendly, and I had the Halibut which is probably the best Halibut I ever had. We are definitely going to be repeat customers!

Leaving second review as owner was rather rude in his reply dont go here unless you want to over pay for greasy fish!! Try other places there are 3 in belleville theat are much better!!

I ve eaten here many times with both my grandparents and friends. But the last couple times staff have seemed very short and rude. My grandparents called in to ask about dining room time as I was to be off work at 7:30pm and they wanted to have dinner all 3 of us. They told me the man on phone (assume its the owner) was extremely rude, cut him off, and after telling him no dine in at that time hung up on him. They tell me they will not be coming back, and if thats how you treat customers asking a simple question neither will I.

Stopped in for lunch while on a road trip to Quebec. We had Halibut & Chips. Completely exceeded our expectations! Food was amazing, server was very polite and attentive, we were in and out in 40 minutes!! Highly recommend

Receive very full dishes. All you can eat fish on Wednesdays. Good and hot food. Hot roast beef sandwiches are stacked high with beef and gravy.

Kid-friendliness: They have the typical kids meals for cheap, despite that the portions are rather large for kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Basic entrance concrete ramp, tables have chairs and are movable.

We just had dinner (halibut and chips). Service was quick, food came out quickly, appropriately priced, large portions and hot. Friendly service and good good. Well worth the stop (we were passing through).

Disgusting! We had all you can eat Cod tonight. First piece WASNT COD, it was pale opaque, falling part, fish inside the batter. I take my batter off. Second piece was Cod, took over twenty minutes to get second piece, it was ordered as soon as first was put down. The place had five tables! Wasn t busy. I think our first piece of fish was talapia. Ripped off, terrible food.

Very disappointed...came in last Sunday for lunch, while away on vacation. Seated quickly and looked over menu. I ordered Haddock, and my husband ordered Shrimp. Waitress comes back with a menu and says theyre out of Haddock. I choose Hot Turkey sandwich, She comes back again to say they are out of turkey!!! I (jokingly) asked if there was anything else they were out of..... waitress says oh, and we dont have wraps or peameal bacon...... the other items I had mentioned to my husband looked good... Paid for our coffee and left. Edit to add....it was mainly NOT being told what they were out of....bad waitress, not the meal options...if I was told all that they were out of at the beginning...I would have picked from something they did have!

Ordered a fish burger, came with fresh lettuce and tomato. The fish (haddock, I believe) was quite large, hot and delicious. I wouldve liked a little more tarter sauce, but thats personal preference. It was pricey, but worth it. Would recommend!

The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. It is a must try fish and chips, you will definitely leave full and probably wont finish everything on your plate, big portions, and pretty decent prices.

The food was good and the portions were generous but the service was questionable. I asked what was the difference between haddock and halibut and the lady answered the taste

Our meal was very good. How ever after our meal we noticed there was a noise and lip on the window next to our booth. We did draw it to our servers attention. Her response was when my stitches are better I will get to it We we re flooded. At a time when cleaning it so important there was no care or concern. There was clearly salvia on the window. And she didn t care at all.

We took take out.Perfect place to stop and buy fish and chips,so delicious . You got a big serving of French fries and fish. The fish was amazing! Went inside to use the washroom and they were extremely clean. The inside of the restaurant was decorated beautifully very elegant decor. Dont miss out come and enjoy this beautiful restaurant .

Fries are good, if a little limp. Onion rings are good, at double the price of anywhere else. If you enjoy a soggy slab of fish-flavoured batter, youll love this. No coleslaw or even a lemon slice. We had been wanting to try this place because of the great reviews, but with unfriendly staff and high prices were disappointed.

Got a family order of fish and chips was very good and so was their tarter sauce which Im usually not a fan of. You also get pretty large portions for what you pay. I would definitely eat here again!
