The Waterfront River Pub and Terrace in Napanee

Fantastic service, just excellent and friendly servers! Fun atmosphere and great tunes on a Saturday night. We were really late for our reservation due to traffic and they held our table for us! Highly recommend this place summer or winter it s a beautiful setting.

Our server Tatiana was amazing, the food and service was great and the snow globes were cool! Highly recommend!

First time going for lunch and it was very good. Service was super fast and food was excellent.

Great seating on the river front, not the best food at all. No kids menu either. My Caesar Salad chicken was very dry, and the fries were ok. The only reason we stopped in was because its close to the kids park. But I wouldnt go out of my way to go here again.

Came here for the first time yesterday, and left feeling a little disappointed. This place is gorgeous, with great ambience & character, however the food is insanely priced for really just being pub food in the guise of fine dining. Service was slow, and we had to sit there smelling garlic bread for over an hour until our food came. Youd think a place this pricey and seemingly fancy would provide a simple basket of rolls or garlic bread, but no freebies here! I got the grilled cheese & tomato soup combo. The soup was a tiny serving, in a small square dish, with the taste & consistency of spaghetti sauce. The grilled cheese itself was lacking, and ordinary. Youd think for $19, it would be a gigantic grilled cheese stuffed with cheese, but it was sadly mediocre. I left still feeling hungry. I couldve made a better grilled cheese at home and at least had a full bowl of soup with it. Dont waste your money here, you will leave hungry.

The staff at the Waterfront River Pub and Terrace were incredible - they took such great care of us and helped make our family celebration that much more special! The food was excellent, they had building toys for the kids at the table (much better than colouring books!) and they helped us with any accessibility needs we had. Highly, highly recommend!

It was decent

Great chicken wings. I went with the dry rub. Washed down with a Keiths. Stopped by after hearing from a friend that it was a good place to stop. Treated well by Debbie and next time would call ahead and make reservations. Luckily we got a booth and were able to see the Napanee river from inside.

Bad. Not sure if it was because we were a group but felt gouged and food was awful and not what was ordered. Very disappointed.

I ordered grilled cheese and with tomato soup. The tomato soup tasted like spaghetti sauce and the grilled cheese had barely any cheese in it and it was fried to the point that I thought Id cracked my tooth. Feedback to my server was met with defensiveness instead of an apology and no attempt was made to make it right. The view from the patio is lovely so Id go again but not for food. Maybe a coffee or drink and then go somewhere else to eat.

The atmosphere was really great! Although we chose to eat inside, the terrace was really well set up and had great ambiance. The food was also quite good; we had the chicken marsala, the half-stack burger and a dinner salad. However, we were quite disappointed by our waiter. He handed us the desert menu as soon as we started eating our meals, so it felt like we were being rushed out (despite having made a reservation). He also came back to ask us if wed like desert while my mom was still eating her dinner. It just didnt give us the warm and fuzzies.

Had the pulled pork sandwich and was excellent. Great service too. Will go back.

Friendly place with great food.

This was the second time here with friends from Niagara. Atmosphere great, server great food unfortunately tasty but lukewarm. You definitely can not be in a hurry which is fine but after waiting for a long time you would expect your food to be hot. Fries and burgers need to be hot not warm . From time of being Sat to getting our order just shy of an hour . We have just retired after being in the restaurant business for 47 years A little disappointed I must say .

This was our first time here and it will be our last. The food was terrible! My son got the Southwest Chicken sandwich which as stated in other reviews didnt even look like chicken. It was deep fried to the point it was completely burnt. The whole centre was gone so it look like a giant burnt onion ring. All 3 plates of fries were cold and either soggy or burnt crisp as if they were old fries sitting there and old pieces that had been sitting in the frier. We sent the chicken back and even the waitress said that it wasnt suppose to look like that. We had the chicken replaced w a burger and new fries and Those were the only fries that came out looking and tasting like they had just been cooked. I got the steak sandwich that isnt even steak. That was definitely a piece of microwaved meat similar to a warmed up pork chop that was cold and rubbery with so much salt I had to spit it out. My daughter always gets chocolate milk and everywhere is normally the same but here they use syrup and a very minimal amount so it only slightly changes the colour so it doesnt taste at all like chocolate milk. We sent that back. By the time my sons new meal came out we were just ready to go. We quickly passed on dessert after the quality of everything else, we didnt want to chance that plus at that point we were all incredibly irritated and just wanted to leave. We always tip the waitress regardless of how the food is because she didnt cook it. Its not her fault the food is bad but its unfortunate that they are the ones who have to deal with customers when the cook just doesnt try. We were very shocked at the serious lack of care the cook put into these meals. When dining and paying higher prices you expect that edible food is given to you. I no longer just deal w crap food that Im paying for and say nothing to be polite. People are not receiving discounts for less quality food so why should one have to pay full price but not be able to eat the food? We are paying for quality food. The cook on definitely needs some new training and quality control. Reminds me of the cook at Chucks Roadhouse where my son Got food poisoning from the chicken. The only positive was the waitress on. She was lovely but its sad that they are the ones who have to deal with the frustration when the cook just doesnt care. I do not recommend this place at all. Fast food chicken burgers are far better quality then this one hence all the bad reviews about it. Might be time to just take it off the menu. Edit as I dont know how to respond to your comment back to my review. Yes when she came back multiple times we said it was fine because it got to the point we just didnt know what to say anymore. Ask her how many things we said something about and sent back or how half the steal sandwich was left on the plate. That will tell you that everything was not fine. As i stated we were incredibly frustrated with everything and just wanted to leave which is why when she asked about dessert we said no. Im sure if you ask her about the things i mentioned she would tell you we did mention all those things to her. There comes a point when you are just over everything and no longer say anything. Instead you pack up and just leave.

Have gone several times and the food is good if you ever get a server. Waited at table over 15 mins and no server. This is an ongoing issue. The servers were there. They just chose to ignore us. Not going back

The boat tour was awesome and the food was delicious. The vegetables must be locally grown because they tasted so fresh. Highly recommend both the boat and dinner after.

We were at the restaurant 2 times last week, Tuesday and Sunday. Tuesday, we were seated inside and the waitstaff were ok, she didnt check on our drinks, water etc. Ribs were ok, French onion soup not good. She didnt ask my husband if there was something wrong with the soup either. Brought the desert menu right after she brought our meals which felt like we were being rushed. Sunday we were on the Patio. Host at station told us she would be with us in a minute, never came back although we saw her 3 times walk by. Another person asked what size a party, went away without a word and came back about 5 minutes later to seat us. Lots of empty tables and we think they must have been short staffed. With lots of empty tables, we were seated next to a couple with a dog that wasnt under control. Love dogs, but not when they are in my eating space. We waited almost an hour for our wraps. Drinks were a good 15 minutes to come. We ordered second drinks, soda and beer and had to ask 3 times for them. Waiter was personable but not really present. We have had great service and meals before at the restaurant but am wondering what has happened?

This patio is Devine. Located on the Napanee River and a nice mix of sun and shade. The patio is quite large and yet feels private due to the divided sections. A wonderful menu and I highly recommend the mushroom soup. Best Ive ever had. There is a soup and grilled cheese option that is very reasonably priced as well as appetizers, platters to share, pasta etc. Ive been there multiple times and everything is delicious.

Today my daughter and I went to The Waterfront restaurant to celebrate my Birthday. It was our 1st time there. The staff were absolutely amazing. Everyone worked together as a team. It was very busy, but they didnt seem stressed. Our food was delicious. Shout out to our server HOLLY. She was a 15/10. She answered all of our questions and gave us good suggestions. She was very knowledgeable about Celiac and gluten free options! We even moved to sit in the sunshine to have dessert and finish our drinks. I cant wait to go dine there again.

We ve been coming to the Waterfront Pub for several years, almost exclusively by boat. It s a beautiful location, a relaxing, tree covered patio perched on the side of the Napanee river, Our visit on August 27, 2024 was no exception. All 9 of us arrived a few minutes early for our 6:15 pm reservation. Rather than walking us to our table, the hostess pointed us to the back of the terrace to make our own way there. A little unusual. Our server showed up after 15-20 minutes to take our drink order and another 30 minutes after that to take our dinner order. Slow service considering the number of empty tables on the patio. (We found this unusual as well as all our past visits were to a full house). The first half of our food order arrived within about 20 minutes, the rest a long 1:25 after we sat at our table. Half our table was finished eating by the time the rest of us got our food. The appetizers we ordered looked as if they d come out of a Costco package and tasted about the same. The entrees were mediocre at best. All the food was seriously overpriced. We found our wait staff to be curt and business like no smiles, no interaction. It was pretty obvious they weren t enjoying themselves or their customers. They didn t want to be there. We found the whole evening to be a disappointment. I m not sure what s changed at this establishment but we won t be coming back.

This is my 4th time to the Waterfront River Pub and Terrace. That alone should speak highly since Ive come back that many times. Until now...I made a reservation for 6 PM the day of, in fact, early morning, August 29, 2024. We arrived shortly after 6, I am talking a few minutes after 6 and I wasnt even acknowledged by someone for at least 10 minutes or more. Once we were greeted and confirmed we had a reservation, we had to wait another few moments for our table to be cleaned and set. Once we sat down, I am not entire too sure how long it took for us to be acknowledged and asked if we wanted to order drinks, but I can tell you it took 40 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Our server told us she would go make them herself and she was sorry. Not long after our appetizer and main course showed up. This was by far the best part of the night. The Maple Whiskey Salmon dish was delectable, tasty, presented beautiful and a good value. Unfortunately, guests sitting near us that were seated before us waited 1.5 hours for food. No joke, no exaggeration. At this point, my dinner date and myself were ready to order dessert and get our bill. Our server would often serve tables in our area but not make any eye contact with us or come see if we needed anything. It took another 20+ minutes to have a tiny piece of cake and our bill delivered to our table. I know it must seem ridiculous, but at this point, I had a stopwatch going as a joke. The food saved the night and the good drinks. Otherwise, between how long it took for us to be served and acknowledged and the guests next to us, it was a very off-putting experience that may hinder whether I choose to come back or not.

We went for lunch at 11:30. It took forever to get our food and the first person was served a good 10 minutes before the last person. The seating area outside is beautiful. The food is mediocre. The service is terrible. If youre looking for drinks by the river, it would probably be great. If you want a meal.... not so much.

Perhaps one the best restaurants I have been to in a very long time. The service was great and the food was absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed our meal in the patio dining area. Would recommend this place.

The soups are phenomenal. The wait staff too. Highly recommend.

Great place in the Greater Napanee.

There is a nice outdoor eating area with shade by the riverside. We were seated right away when we arrived around 4:30 on a Saturday in September. The menu has a lot of variety. The service is friendly. The food is well presented and tasty.

Lots of hornets on the patio, Im not happy that we had to leave early.

I really hate to leave bad reviews and in fact never take the time to do so in most cases.. but today was our 40th Wedding anniversary and both the food and service were horrible! We wanted on the patio and a table was cleared for us.. unfortunately there was this small dish that looked like a dirty ashtray.. I asked the lady who cleared the table what it was and she said it was to repel the bees.. well it didnt work! And it would have been disgusting to look at while we ate so we went inside.. the atmosphere was aweful! Hardly anyone in there and you could see that all they cared about was the patio customers! The waitress did check on us but barely. when the food came my husbands southwest chicken sandwich was deep fried to the point you couldnt even recognize that it was chicken it looked like someone had forgotten it in the fryer.. still not even sure it was chicken?.. we thought about sending it back but it was hard to get a hold of anyone so he just ate it as to not spoil my dinner.. it was our anniversary after all and we wanted to eat together and the food had taken a long time to get as it was..so he just ate it.. then finally the waitress did come over to see how things were but by then it was too late.. he let her know how disappointed he was and they took 25% off the bill.. very disappointed with both the service and my dish was no hell either.. they seemed to have changed the fries.. that was an improvement. Really sad..we hardly eat out because it is so expensive these days but we thought WTH its our 40th... really sucked but I overheard the one gal say the manager wasnt in... too bad maybe things would have gone better! I take that back about the Manager may have making a difference.. no way! I have read many many of the responses on here to low star reviews and its CLEAR they do NOT care! I am shocked at how unprofessionally these reviews are being handled!

Writing this on behalf of a client of mine She had a very rode waitress, who wouldnt do her job, & under cooked fish. Had high hopes for this place but wont recommend this to anyone. Food

Server was indifferent and busy at the bar. Also, it took over 30 minutes for 2 salads. It was not busy

On Saturday July 20th my wife and I and two other couples dined at your restaurant. We had made reservations to be seated at the waters edge. We made these reservations a day earlier so we could sit there.When we arrived it took the Hostess a few minutes to find our reservation which I dont think she did but told us it would be 15 minutes. We are said that was fine and went out on the dock and ordered drinks. Half an hour went by and no table so my wife went up and the Hostess said we would have to sit in the center of the patio which we accepted. The waitress came and we ordered our meal. A hour and a half later we still had no meal. We asked to talk to the Hostess and she very ridley told us we were lucky to get a seat. We were not happy with that reply so we ask to talk to the manager.The manager came and told us that we shouldnt be complaining and there was nothing she could do.Not even a sorry. Our food finally came and most orders were cold. Our waitress was a real sweetheart. She apologized many times.I hope the waitresses dont have to work under the same conditions

Service was terrible, waitress was absent and no reason for slow service. Lettuce on Baja Taco Salad was bitter. We were served the cheque, before anyone asked how our meal was.

We have been to the Waterfront Pub 6-7 times and always enjoyed the food and service. However, this time the food left much to be desired. We were greeted and seated immediately and waited approximately 15 + minutes for the two drinks we had ordered, they sat on the bar and eventually the bartender brought them to us, our server was no where to be found at that time. The appetizer (firecracker chicken) consisted of what I can estimate to be 1/2 a chicken breast, and it was what I can only describe as warm and tasted as though it had been cooked long in advance, and came in at 19.00. Once this did arrive our server indicated she would bring cutlery, after 10 minutes we got up and went to the bar to get our own cutlery and water which we had asked for 10 minutes prior. We ordered the Seafood stuffed haddock which was cold in the middle, and came with sautéed vegetables which had been obviously sautéed some time prior to our order. The steak sandwich consisted of a ciabatta bun with a single piece ( 1 x4 ) of tough steak and sauce. Our previous visits to this restaurant have been amazing and I am hoping this is just a one off for this establishment.

Right by the river side, beautiful patio with lots of shade. Good food (I had the Saint Jacobs salad), large serving, good service. Easy online reservation. I would imagine the restaurant would be busy during peak seasons. Food : 5/5

The best thing about this place is the location and beautiful waterfront. Food was ok We tried the portobello mushroom burger Fish and chips The French onion soup And finally the calamari I would say that the sandwich was the best among them. We found the food a bit oily.

What a disappointment!!! If you would like to support the double standard service, that s the place to be . reservation two weeks in advance (with water-view table) for a very special occasion not guaranteed ( according to the staff responsible for sitting, no reservations for waterside at any time), yet we came 4 weeks later without reservation, a party of 3, we were kept waiting for 20 min before getting any attention ( the inside of the restaurant was packed due to light drizzle). After checking out tables outside one gazebo close to the river was not in use, yet when I approached the person in charge, I was told, it was reserved. What a turn off. Yes, it was taken by a party of SIX 15 min later. Dollars speak up for themselves! Will not return again since it is an expensive place, you pay for the vicinity of the river, not the service and quality of food. Left the place frustrated, headed to ROYAL COACHMAN restaurant right after, just a short drive away ..much more reasonable pricing, freshly made delicious food, on snow white tablecloths and a lovely classy interior in an old house also with divine garden surroundings. Check this one out for sure!!!!! WE WILL NOT RETURN TO RIVERVIEW PUB EVEN THOUGH WE LIVE IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD!

Was in the area for work and my co worker and I wanted a steak dinner, wow I was totally impressed by the service and quality of food. We sat at the bar and was asked by both bartenders if we wanted to try samples of beer! Heck yes lol. The overall experience was amazing if we come back I would definitely come again. I highly recommend this place!

Disappointed Atmosphere and terrace by the water was great. But that about the extent of my positive experience. Ordered a pretty basic meal. Chicken club wrap with fries. Apparently drizzled with red pepper aioli. Food came pretty fast which was my first red flag as clearly was not made when ordered. Fries were old and not hot at all. In fact the fries serving was mostly the bits and pieces of the burned bits that is left over in the hopper. At least the fries were fresh cut. The wrap was not any better. Pieces of chicken were cold and dry. Again. Clearly cooked well ahead for the day and just put together as is. No semblance of any aioli at all. The server (Haileyi believe as per the bill) asked how i was doing. Voiced my displeasure. Not in a mean way whatsoever. She seemed a bit disinterested in my comments but did indicate that this is the second complain in five minutes about the fries. No real taking of ownership or offer for apology. Normally if its a problem that was known and happens again you would offer something off the bill. Nothing. After i settled up i went inside to ask to speak to the manager. Only to be told she was tending to the river boat coming to dock. Lo and behold the manager was who had served. Well that figures i thought. As i said. The scenery by the water to enjoy a beverage is a nice thing to experience. Thats about it.

Phenomenal food, wonderful staff. Plenty of seating inside and out. I can not say enough about this place. I will definitely be back.

This little gem is beyond fantastic! We visited on a Saturday evening, and were greeted by a live band playing outside. Most had reservations, and we did not. There is a lot of outside seating. A garden, to sit and relax. We did get a table inside. Food was exceptional!

Very nice and good!

From the gluten-free menu, I ordered the mussels, and they were outstanding. I highly recommend it and we played Trivia tonight as we do the last Monday of the month... Did I mention our team won! Lots of fun and 2 tickets on The Norman Paul tour boat for our prize. Whoop, whoop hurrah!

Excellent food, charming decor, I ate the best fries of my life, the other dishes were succulent.

They have a good selection of draft beers. For some strange reason, they dont provide a beer menu or list it on their website. The beer menu is posted in the bar.

Loved the location, and the staff were very friend. Our waitress was not really attentive and was hardly around when we needed something like salt. As for the food my husband had the chicken burger and sweet potato fried and that was really good. I ordered the flatbread and was disappointed it more like an over cheesed pizza from a kids menu lack any flavor, I asked for hot sauce to give it some flavor so I could eat most of it and not waste it. But we both really enjoyed the drinks, we ordered espresso martinis, daiquiri and blueberry lemonade.

Pros -incredible spot on the river -restaurant is beautifully set up, lights at dusk, cabanas, etc -excellent music performance by duo Good To Go very engaging, great mix of fun music! Cons-extremely busy & overcrowded -Servers were extremely tense & run off their feet despite utilizing robotic help, wait time was extremely long -sorry for the delay was the phrase of the night -no cutlery, dressing with salad -food, coffee were at room temperature -portions are small compared to cost -Hostess was very unfriendly & grumpy -parking is challenging cars were being ticketed! Would only come back to hear musicians play again!! Too many other restaurants to visit rather than experience lack of service, mediocre food & energy of restaurant.

Excellent customer service. We were contacted prior to arrival due to our patio reservation & notified that we needed to be moved to the lower level indoor dining area. We met friends from out of town. We all thoroughly enjoyed each & every morsel that we tasted from appetizers to desserts. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible parking down in the lower lot with access to both the outdoor patio & lower level dining. Easy movement between tables & accessible washrooms

Sadly, this was the biggest restaurant disappointment in a long time for us. The location right at the river is really nice but the so called service leaves much to the imagination, as does the quality of food. We will not return, nor recommend this place.

Horrible experience here with staff I got blown off and was unable to order so I left hungry and angry :-( . Over ten mins I stood at the bar without anyone asking or offering me any solice looked beautiful and I wish it were different but this is my experience

What an absolutely lovely spot. The food was good, the service was wonderful. This is a must visit when in Napanee. The outdoor patio is also very nice. Will certainly be back again in the near future !

Seeing that they advertise being open until 11, my wife and I decided to go there for dinner at 8:30, arriving at 8:45. We walked to the hostess stand, and were completely ignored by the hostess who just smirked disappointly at us and walked away. When another server came by (a young man in his 20s), we asked if they were open. He smugly said we are just about to close, so I asked why it says 11:00 online. He gave me such a rude and smug response about looking into it that we just walked away. The people here were just so rude that I would never try to go here again. I also wonder of the owner would be interested to know that they rudely sent customers away before it was even 9:00, simply because some lazy employees wanted to go home.

Says if 8 or more people to reserve through calling. Doesnt ring and goes straight to voicemail. Checked in to see if they got message prior to showing up and didnt really attempt to work with their error. As they said they dont get messages. May change stars if ever try again in future. But attitude about it was not the best either from the host when we even showed up later to see if there happened to be space.

A friend and I had the pleasure of dining at The Waterfront River Pub and Terrace in Napanee, and the whole experience was great! My friend had the Fettuccine Alfredo, and I had the Seafood Linguini. Both were delicious. The service was friendly and accommodating. Out server, Meena, was wonderful and the owner, Jane, has created a warm, cozy environment, featuring tasty food in a great ambiance. Great patio. Great selection of craft beer. Thoughtful and delicious menu. Absolutely worth a stop if you are in the area. Wanted to leave an update: we arrived shortly before kitchen closing and everyone went out of their way to ensure we were able to get our orders in. We didnt feel rushed or pressured -- but welcomed and looked after. A huge shout out to Jodi for her outstanding service.

Great summer hang out. Good food. Some interesting items ...not just pub food. I opted for the pub side. Crab Rangoon, really good lemon pepper calamari. Great selection of beers and upper end cocktails. Head for the patio. Parking: Lots of room . Rode my motorcycle there last year and can park with the others near the patio, cars this year.

Booked the Waterfront for a retirement function of 50+ people. It was absolutely amazing. The staff were more than accommodating and Kirstin and her Partner, as well as Amy (manager) and the bar staff did an absolute fantastic job making sure everyone was looked after with food and beverage. Tough group to keep Up with but you all did a bang up job. Highly recommend to anyone looking to do the same. You made my friends sending off into the next chapter of her life perfect. Thank you

Ive gone here multiple times, as Im someone from the area, and sadly, Ive been disappointed every time. The atmosphere is beautiful, right along the river, and the staff are very nice and accommodating. I recently went with my husband, ordered the Thai wrap and a poutine. The pountine got to me cold, with congealed gravy and the wrap was very dry. We asked the waitress for a new poutine, as it is an upcharge, which she very kindly got us. Sadly, that poutine was also cold, with more congealed gravy (there must be too much thickener in their gravy mix), cold curd but a very hot bowl. I believe they microwaved it. My husband also ordered a spicy Caesar, which was oddly dark & tasted funny. (He also has a stomach of steel and he couldnt handle it). Im not one to complain, but this was frustrating, especially since we spent $100 for this lunch. The waitress was sweet and took off the upcharge for a poutine ($5). Overall a disappointing experience. Go for the pretty patio, not for the food.

We had a reservation and still waited in line 25 minutes while they seated a large walk-in group. Servers seemed exhausted and frustrated. Food was good but the service left a lot to be desired.

We come at least twice a year, anniversary and birthdays. Food and service were always good. But our recent visit was sub par to what we have come to expect. The food was good but our server forgot our appetizer, received it half way through our meal. Asked me if I would like a drink refill which was forgotten. Not once did she check on us, gave us a dessert menu but didnt return to check if we would like dessert. We are very disappointed for all the long years we have enjoyed dining there.

The place itself was ideal for a date and maybe even dare I say a wedding proposal! On the water , decent menu , and what. Patio water fall omg it floored me but and this is the horror I stood inside waiting for someone at the bar to take my order being mindful it was Friday and sorta busy I saw and shared eye contact with 6 or 7 staff and nothing with menu in hand I walked out and felt angry and hungry because no one served me or even said wait. S sec! Bad day prob - nice restaurant for sure but will I go back ... No unless its to try the boat cruise they offer .

All very nice. Even though my grilled cheese was a fair amount of cheese, I would have liked the cheese to have been melted more. The mushroom soup and the cheddar cheese with apple was very tasty

Enjoyable patio by the riverside.

The food, the drinks and the atmosphere were good. However, the service was very slow. We had to wait for over 30 minutes for our seafood linguini to come.

EDIT. The service and quality of food get worse every year. I will say the patio is great (just dont look up at the filthy gazebos, holding old rain water and cobwebs and debris). Menu updates and changes are severely lacking. Servers with any ability for customer service are severely lacking. I always want to support local, but after years of give them another chance.. Edited: Im sadden by the fact that this place hasnt changed much in roughly 5yrs. The service has greatly diminished every year, there are still a couple good servers in the evening shift. We watched two servers and 1 hostess leave tables over 5 tables covered in napkins and empty glasses the poor hostess(not Meena) had to clear table to sit people(that is not her job). The second shift showed up and had to clear and clean tables immediately to start their shift and sit people(this is extremely sad). We were there for 2hrs, 12 tables outside total that were seated, no tables sat inside other than the manager sitting at the bar eating their lunch, servers did absolutely nothing. Watched second shift clear first shifts mess after 2 hrs of sitting. My wife and I hosted our wedding for immediate family at the Waterfront and it was a fantastic experience front start to finished! The entire staff provided friendly and caring attention to every detail. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was on point! Even though it rained and we were unable to do a dockside ceremony, the staff setup our ceremony under the canopies on the patio which worked out perfectly. My wife and I cant thank them enough for helping contribute to our special day!

Good, basic food for Napanee. Strange location, as the front doors are at the back, not the main street and you need to walk down a steep hill which was tough with my elderly mother. Quite a trek, but was at least worth it.

This was a great spot after a long day of fishing. The staff was fantastic and there was live music - we had a wait but like any great spot, the wait staff had a beer in our hands for every second until we got seated. The food was OK - I think it s a bit pricey for pub food, but it we got our moneys worth out of location, atmosphere and service. I ll definitely be back to the Riverfront for drinks next fishing trip.

Me and the fiance came for dinner for are anniversary was very good and very friendly. They even gave us 2 free desserts.

A hidden gem! Found this by accident when looking for a restaurant while driving to Toronto. Food and service was excellent. I had the falafel bites, which included a side of hummus and also a side of cucumber, tomato, onion chutney (not mentioned on the menu). With four large falafel balls, and the generous amount of hummus it was more than enough for a meal for me. The amazing view along the water was very peaceful, adding to the overall excellent experience.

Had a lovely dinner out on the patio, a beautiful warm evening having dinner and a drink with friends, sitting by the river. Highly recommended with great service and great food.

Loved the staff (specially the more senior lady who was also helping with the bar). The bar is next to the beautiful river. The food was amazing. This was my second time and I will go back again.

Couldnt have asked for a better lunch! The grilled cheese with tomato soup is a must. We will definitely coming back!

LOVE the atmosphere here. Hailey is my favourite sever, I always receive kind and attentive service here. Not to mention that the food is fabulous. You have to try the river tour in the summer and follow up with dinner on the patio!

What a great place to eat. Service is excellent and the atmosphere is welcoming. Grace M is AMAZING. She was very friendly and attentive to our table, and even on a busy night made sure we were taken care of. I have always worked in the serving industry, and Grace was one of the best! Give this girl a raise! Highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere local to eat.

The host of the restaurant was very rude with us. The restaurant had plenty of tables available, but she said there was no table for us, without explanations. Not recommended at all, we didnt even get to sit down! I wish I had a recording of the way we got attended, it seems like when they do something wrong, they find a way to not taking the responsibility through their replies and put it on the customer. I have a couple of reasons I believe we didnt get a proper service, at least for telling us with good manners that there was no availability in the whole restaurant. Nevertheless, what matters is that the experience we lived with our group, after driving about 3 and a half hours to get to the restaurant with high expectations, was very dissapointing.

Mediocre place and overpriced. Their most recommended dish (the salmon) was not that good. It felt like pub food trying to be an upscale restaurant. Their linguini pasta and steak sandwich are better but nothing tk talk about. Good vibe overall but food was on the more expensive side. Food

The patio here is where its at, so its understandable that its expensive, due to being sort of weather dependent. Good in the summer, meh otherwise

I was meeting a friend on the terrace and went in to order a beer at the bar. The one staff was on the phone, taking reservations, it seemed. A woman at the bar with a menu had no been served and, I discovered later that, of the two tables, one was waiting for the beer they had ordered and the other was waiting for the server to take their order. A group walked in that also wanted to order and take beer to the terrace. After that one phone call, she took another, despite having all those people waiting. So, that was not good, but the beer and the falafel were, though the food was expensive: $16 for four falafels with humus.

This is a really nice restaurant with excellent food. We enjoyed watching some live entertainment from the upper section. The food is a bit pricey- but is also excellent quality. We enjoyed a cheese pot for an appetiser and the raviloi and stuffed haddock as mains.

Had a nice bottle of wine by the river as the sun set, cant get any better then that

We had been there for lunch in a weekday, so it wasnt crowded at all The falafeel we ordered has areas of improvement. I lived in Dubai and Sharjah for over 3 years. So I know the taste as well as texture

First time visiting from Toronto. A wonderful waterfront setting, inside and outside in the summer. Great food and service. Great pub style menu with fabulous soups. Great variety of beers on tap. If you are in the area, a must visit.

We came from Kingston to meet friends from Brighton for coffee and/or wine in the afternoon. Meena took care of us fabulously and the coffee and Pinot Grigio was good.

We waited 45 min to have them mess up my husband order. On top of that a party of 3 that came in after us got their meal ate and left before we got our fish and chips and a flat bread. Simple order for two. Regardless if they have a private party up stairs we are very upset it s now 1 1/2 hr and now we get cold food.

Went with family for my birthday dinner. Our waitress was great. My great granddaughter was with us and they brought her a bucket of Lego so she was very happy. The food was excellent. Ill be going back again.

Wonderful meal: started with mussels; then stuffed halibut and ravioli w/ scallops; followed by triple chocolate cake and flourless chocolate cake all delicious, especially the mussels and the meals the sauces were rich and creamy, so flavourful! Although the desserts were delicious, they really deserve fresh whipped cream, not whipped cream from a can Beer + cider + wine all excellent. Excellent service:prompt and friendly without being artificially chummy perfect. Live music was a wonderful addition, but it was too loud! Even on the second floor, behind a wall, we had to raise our voices to be heard.

We had dinner in one of the snowglobes that they have. It was absolutely awesome and so cozy. There are heaters, blankets and music provided inside. Very intimate and quiet. The food was excellent and the service was very good. We will be back again and in particular to take the rivercruise in the summer. Highly recommend this restaurant. Its well worth the drive to Napanee

We met friends here in January on a Sunday at noon to go out for lunch. We had a fabulous waitress, cant remember her name but she was terrific. Food was good and the place has a great atmosphere. We had gone before in the summer. Great atmosphere inside the historic building as well as outside by the river in the summertime. Will definitely go again. One of the nicest places to eat in Napanee. Wheelchair accessibility: Not sure about this as the driveway is steep to the front door. Would be difficult to keep control of a wheelchair if it was icy.

Waitress was very kind, but food was not good. We had a party of 9 and nobody enjoyed their food.

Beautiful ambience, sumptuous food and excellent service. Sarah was a delight as a waitress, even though it was a busy Saturday night she made us feel like we were a priority. My partner and I shared the shrimp spring rolls, seafood stuffed haddock and creme brûlée. Absolutely delicious! The Waterfront is our go to restaurant whenever we visit Napanee.

What a great experience having lunch here. They are on their game. Not one negative experience. Food is delicious and there are a lot of choices for every appetite. Pricing is in line with the quality which is fantastic.

To me it seemed a unique restaurant. Personally I am not a fan of dark colours in a restaurant. But I was informed by Samah that it is also a Pub.. which partially answered for the dark environment.. We went for Lunch, on a winter weekday. It wasnt crowded. Had dinner last evening at The Waterfront with friends. Not our first visit. Service and atmosphere were great, enjoyed the live music. Ordered Wonton Dragoons appetizer. Very underwhelming . Basically deep fried empty wontons. No filling as described on menu. I had Mushroom stuffed ravioli with scallops for my main course. Ravioli were delicious and sauce was excellent, but had grand total of 3 nickel sized scallops on top. VERY disappointing for the price. However, I guess quite possibly a sign of our economic times. Will definitely go back to this eatery, but will never order same appetizer again. Definitely won t spend the $ for seafood type entree.

If youre in Napanee and area, you have to go to the Waterfront. The attentive owners and management, friendly staff, unique and delectable food offerings, wide selection of wines, beer, and cocktails, and the beautiful setting all add up to the best dining experience you can ask for! Did I mention the wintertime outdoor snow globe experience? Enjoy a meal outdoors in their heated snow globe! And in the summer you can take a dinner/drinks cruise on the Napanee River! So awesome. Vegetarian options: The portebelliw mushroom burger is one of my favourites!

Absolutely excellent staff. We were treated very nicely from the time we walked through the doors, till the time we left. Food was very good and the wait time from drinks to appetizer to our meal was above average. We booked the snow globe and loved our time there.
