Harvey's in Napanee

Burgers are not always cooked fully in an attempt to be quickly served. The sentiment is lovely but I prefer my hamburger meat fully done.

Arrived almost near when they closed so they were cleaning up for the night but they still absolutely accommodated and still serviced me with a smile and friendly greeting

Wasnt impressed with this visit. Lettuce was all brown and when I mentioned it to the girl at the counter as she was putting it on my chicken burger, and told her they should switch it out for fresh, she just glanced up at me and then continued to give me brown lettuce. Not impressed! Update: December 14th, 2024 check number 5522, cashier server 4 Catherine... Must give a huge shout out to her... If only all staff in all restaurants everywhere could have such a pleasant and accommodating attitude. She was friendly, and when not serving customers, walking around the front of the restaurant humming to herself, so very nice to hear someone happy in their work. She also brought drinks right to the customers tables, with a huge smile, and didnt seem put out at all like some others do who work here. Catherine certainly deserves to be recognized for her genuine love of her work. Thanks for serving us this evening.

worst service ever. had to wait 15 minutes for my order, they forgot the cheese for my burger then threw a piece of cheese ON TOP of of the bun, then forgot my drinks which i discovered when i got home. The worst!!! Food

Was at this location today at 12:25 the out side of this location has garbage all over the parking lot ,garbage cans were over flooding. Had an angus burger with cheese and it was so dryed out. I think it was cooked to much ahead .did not even cover the bun. Have photos of the parking lot full of trash .two men where smoking outside the rear of building ..they could of been picking up this mess. The dinning room and bathrooms are very clean. The staff very helpful and quick with your orders Dietary restrictions: They serve veggie burgers that are plant based and are delish. They also serve a Swiss chicken that is gluten free. The Harvey s gravy is vegetarian. Parking: The location is easy to get to just off of ramp. Very big parking lot. About 40 spots always available.

We stopped off at the restaurant on our way to Burlington and were extremely happy with the food and service ! It is our go to on the 401.as we find the quality at the en routes not exactly the best . Here we are guaranteed friendly service and quality food !

Harveys has went way downhill

Burger was undercooked compared to other locations. Got only one napkin per burger and in the middle of eating had to go up front to request more napkins.

I picked up some late dinner for my husband and myself and I had really a great laugh tonight! To the younger guy with the earing (s?) Talking with the crazy lady tonight, thank you! Haha You asked if I may need anything else in my bag, and jokingly I said ya a million dollars ! We both laughed and then you went to gather our order. You hand it too me and tell me too wait . You proceed to hand me my million dollars! Haha believe me when I tell you im keeping this forever . Fantastic services young man! Crazy Lady *

This Harveys Shares its restaurant with Swiss Chalet. The food is never consistent. It was where the people I was with wanted to go. The drive Thru is extremely slow. We turned off the car & waited for our food for 27 minutes. The people behind us asked us how long wed been waiting..we told them. They drove away. Ive been to many other Harveys & Swiss Chalets & find its much faster. This is a sad reality at this one. Unfortunately itll be their loss when forced to close because many other faster restaurants are in the same vicinity. Hopefully Harveys Swiss Chalet will get better Franchaisees wholl work their restaurant in a better manner.

We do not have any Harveys where I live now, they did not survive Covid. Having my favourite burger, really the only one I like, served in a drive through and made EXACTLY how I wanted it, was lovely. The young man also served us when we went in for Swiss chalet, he was accommodating, polite and thoughtful. Food

Every time I am in Napanee I always make a point of stopping in at my favourite Harvey s/Swiss Chalet location. The employees are friendly and always willing to make our experience more enjoyable. I also love that you have double the choices for food options! Highly recommend stopping in, even if it s just passing through the area. Dietary restrictions: The variety and willingness of employees to make our meals the way we want them is outstanding Kid-friendliness: Great options of kids meals, last visit we had the kids Mac & cheese bites, definitely going back for more of those!

Stopped there today, and with one vehicle already at the window ahead of us, placed our order. Pulled up behind that vehicle and then waited 18 minutes! The vehicle ahead got there order, I pulled up and wow, my order was at the window too! Batching at the drive through? 2 original with cheese combos. Burgers stone cold, onion rings stone cold, fries luke warm. Im not sure if its poor training at this location and the inability to multi task. In kingston the food is fast and hot. So disappointed. Waste of my money. Cant see this location lasting with such poor service.

I found Mat the kid that looks after the place doing a stellar job empting the garbage and cleaning up the restrooms. It looks like he takes great pride in his work. The food was great as well.

The person assembling our burger was grumpy and rude (and possibly racist) while assisting us. We had asked her if it was possible to cut our burger, to which she groaned and took a knife cut the burger and whipped the knife across the counter. It was such a negative experience! Additionally, traveling with my grandmother who cannot hold the medium cup size, I asked for a smaller cup so we can pour out the medium beverage we had purchased. The staff audibly made prejudice comments to assume we were attempting to take more pop, even though the cups were not being refilled and small cup being used to only share the beverage from the medium cup. I felt saddened and disappointed in the service at this Harvey s. I don t think I will be returning to Harvey s if they hire people who clearly have limited customer service. As a colored person living in Canada for more than 25 years, I can only hope blatant racism wasn t the reason for such a negative experience, but it s important to note that all the non-coloured customers before and after us didn t seem to receive such treatment. Very disappointing!

Stopped in on our way through to Ottawa from Toronto area, easy location right off 401. Friendly and helpful staff as we had little ones who were hungry and tired. Staff quickly accommodated us and our complicated orders were delivered to our table exactly as ordered! All fresh ingredients for our burgers, satisfying the cravings of a traditional Harveys burger! Gravy was delicious and the Swiss chicken divine with the traditional chalet sauce! Did not disappoint, the place was spotless and well stocked with everything youd need. Highly recommend stopping in if youre craving swiss or Harveys and have littles ones for a fast decent meal! This place exceeds expectations. Poutine was not poutine; no cheese curds.

My mother and I went through thr drive thru Friday evening after the supper rush just after 7pm. It was a first and last kind of experience. We waited with 3 cars ahead of us for over 30 mins before receiving our order. I should add there were 2 customers in store already aat down eating Both bacon cheese burgers were cold and the bacon was not cooked along with the fries being cold. The poutine upgraded to one meal was also disappointing as the only thing hot was the gravy but not hot enough to warm the cold fries. Definitely wasted $36

We happened to stop in after the Santa Clause Parade. While the food was great as it usually is everyone was stressed about how busy it was. They were understaffed in the kitchen for how busy it was and knowing for weeks the parade was going on they should have prepared. We waited for 20 minutes for our food and it was nothing fancy, juT burgers and fries.

Harvey s does not make my hamburger a beautiful thing, literally can never get it right as in I never receive the burger that I specifically order condiments and all, with hardly anything on it in the first place. Disappointed is an understatement especially when you have to go home and raid your fridge to build a burger that you already paid for. Terrible customer service, no greetings, manners or basic communication at all. It s a no from me I have lost every interest in returning.

Great Food n service

Quite disappointing for a Harveys. Harveys is one of our go-to fast food places, because the food is reliably good and the service is good as well, but in this case, we were disappointed in several aspects. Im not sure if the process in this location is unique, or if it a new model for Harveys in general. If it is a new model, I hope they change their minds and go back to the old way. First of all, the food was the usual Harveys great for most of us (we had a group of five), but one of us did not get her sandwich prepared the way she asked, and that was entirely due to the process at this location. Normally at a Harveys, you place your order at the cash, pay, and go stand at the counter and tell the person preparing your burger how you want it prepared. If there is an issue, it can be corrected right there. At this place, they treated the walk-in customers as if they were passing through the drive-through. We were asked what we wanted on our burgers at the cash, which caused some delay, since we were not prepared to answer those questions at that stage, and it made the process at the cash slower. Then when we walked to the counter to wait for our order to be prepared, we were told, and quite rudely at that, to go away and wait elsewhere in the restaurant and that our food would be brought to us. As a result, we ended up with too many straws (we got our own not knowing they would be added in the bag with our order), not enough napkins (none were available at the drinks station), one sandwich not made as requested, and a job to sort out which sandwich belonged to each person because it was all in one bag, rather than individual orders. All that could have been prevented if we had been allowed to stay at the counter and watch as our orders were prepared. I very much hope that this process is not a new standard for Harveys in general, because it would certainly affect my decisions about where to eat in the future.

Filthy dirty store, streaks on the windows. Lettuce was brown so opted out. Tomatoes were mushy and drink was watery. Never again! Health board needs a call.

Horrible. Tried to serve an old burnt hot dog. Then tried to justify people like them that way. It had been sitting a while. Also the chicken strips were uneditble. Old looked to be recooked . Also it was filthy. Floors were slick and in and out doors were absolutely filthy.

Food is always good, fresh and hot. Drive thru is hit and miss whether youll be quick or listen to an album while you wait.

Ive stopped here a few times over the past couple years - consistently slow service. We were the only car in the drive thru (and there was only one family ordering inside from what I saw) and it took about 15 minutes to get our food. Food was fine, what we expected - but the time was ridiculous.

Staff are very nice, this is why the place gets 4 stars instead of 3. The waiting time could be better. Takes a long time to get food out, one time it took around 30 minutes I believe. The food was ok, good. A nice place, just needs to be a bit quicker.

Very sarcastic clerk when we were ordering. Just asked a question and she made me feel stupid. The young workers were very good. Also also we were getting our toppings and mine was done. He was just going to prepare my partners burger and she snatched it from the counter and put it on another order. She needs talking to.

They couldn t get my order right and they put so much ice in my Pepsi that it wasn t even half full. I am never going back there again.

Very slow service

Honestly the rudest lady I ve ever encountered in the service industry ( who I have learned is the owners daughter and this is a normal thing for her) was yelling at her employees while there was at least 5 customers in the restaurant; then I watched her pack my bag and she forgot to put half our food in it. Then when I came back she wasn t sorry at all just handed me the other bag and walked away no sorry about the inconvenience or anything. Love Harvey s but will avoid going in if she s there s now

Ive never been anywhere that the staff are more interested in letting you know how much they hate their jobs.

Nothing out of the ordinary! I did not like having to pick my condiment selection at the till. Prefer it to be when my burger is being dressed.

I m always really content at this location. Facility is clean, food is consistent, (I love being able to mix & match Harvey s and Swiss Chalet), friendly and familiar faces, plus I feel safe, they take COVID-19 seriously. I stop here frequently on my travels and I m glad I found this spot.

AMAZING food. Our favorite fast food location, staff were more than kind and were very quick with our service. Would recommend this location to anyone I know.

Always good food whenever Ive been, although it is one of the slowest drive thru restaurants around. I will only go if there is one other in front of me. Other than that its not worth waiting. Havent tried the curbside option yet, thats next

Always great place for a good burger

December 28 2019 Google says Harveys Swiss Chalet open till 10pm. 9pm its not open. This the second time this has happened to me. I will be taking my business elsewhere, the food sucks here anyways, but my girlfriend seems to enjoy itfor some reason. If I could rate it .5 stars out of 5 I would but I cant. Maybe you should hire staff that are able to keep the business open for the hours that are listed on the door

We dont go here often, a couple times a year but everytime we do the orders are messed up in drive thru.. You dont get what you paid for or they give you what you didnt order. Ask for condiments and never get them. Went in and asked for our money back since they tried to argue with me at the window what I ordered. Then asked for the food back which the kids had eaten half. Have contacted managment but no improvements have been made. If it wasnt for being with swiss chalet Im sure it would be closed.

We like this herpes location because it is a centre point in the North End of Napanee. Their food is always prepared fresh their menu items are terrific selection. Theyre condiments when they put them on your food are always well prepared. The staff are very courteous and very friendly. We like this Harveys because we always have a great customer over-the-top

So SLOW. Unfortunate because we ve stopped here a few times in the past few weeks during the day and the service wasn t that bad. This time was just ridiculously long.

Good service but the Buffalo chicken sandwich I just got is definitely not made with fresh chicken and the anion rings were burned and greasy. First terrible experience with the food as my partner and I love going to Harveys more than anything. The one in Ajax is up to expected standard where as the one in Napanee Im wondering what has gone wrong there.

6:50-7:15pm Took 25 mins 2 burger orders wrong 1 order missing chicken strips 1 missing drink and when we got it, it was wrong Went back to correct, they asked to come to the window and they will fix it... Waited 2 minutes at the window for the guy to be oblivious as to why we are there... Then brings us a new burger and hands it to us and closes the window without a word.

In one word, BAD! Went on Sunday, mid afternoon. Waited in drive thru for at least 15 minutes if not longer. The car in front of us ordered Swiss Chalet, so assuming that was the holdup (note, the car should have been told to pull ahead to keep everything moving) When we got our burgers, it was clear they had been sitting and waiting as well. They were cold and they were so drenched in condiment we had a hard time eating them without getting it all over us AND there were no napkins in the bag!! We will NEVER go there again.

The experience here is inconsistent. Sometimes they make a great burger, and seem happy to provide the serivce. At other times, it seems that the staff hate their dead end jobs and they would rather you didnt shop there.

The restaurant seemed clean and safe. As usual, the food was worth going out of your way for. Friendly staff.

They are taking great measures for social distancing. I ordered a stuffed burger and the young lady behind the counter said it was good. She was right! Hit the spot. Great food, great service. Will be back!

Customer service was terrible. Food was cold. Employee argued with my husband over a missed drink. Then told my husband to calm down and called him SASSY. Unreal. Employees were arguing in the kitchen. Calling the bathrooms disgusting would be a compliment.

Cane here, ordered a poutine at regular price of 4.99 and showed my CAA card for a discount and was told the poutine is on a special discount and I can not get a discount. 4.99 for a poutine is regular price at all harveys.

8 minutes for a jr burger and no one came to the window to late me know about the wait. I paid and then there was nothing for 8 minutes. I had to honk my horn to have someone bring me the 1 burger I ordered. No apology for the wait it was just a here you go. Ill never be back

Good burgers and shakes

Went yesterday around 2:30 my wife son and myself. Placed our orders and while they were asking what toppings we would like flies were walking over our burgers. My wife pointed this out to the staff and they immediately removed them and asked the cook to prepare others, she hit the roof and started yelling at them and started that she could not deal with this?????? That is her job if you cant deal with it LEAVE . When the food dis arrive my bun was STALE AND HARD. Took it back and was asked if I would like another? I said no. You have a PIG working in the kitchen and I do not care to eat anything she puts out. This is the 2nd time for me that things were wrong. Thats in two visits. First visit missed the speaker were you order. Nobody behind me so I pulled up to the window and explained what happened. They would not take my order for a rootbeer unless I went back around to the speaker. Complained to Harveys and was told I would receive an email with some coupons that never came either. HARVEYS IN NAPANEE IS OFF MY LIST FOR GOOD.

Drive Thru was a slow process. I ordered Chalet Sauce for my fries, they instead gave me two packets of house salad dressing. And my cup was half full of ice, how much ice do you need to cool down a medium drink? They gave me like 20 icecubes. Moral of the story: Check your bag before you leave the drive-thru.

As usual, completely underwhelmed. How can you be sold out of fries on a small town Thursday night?!?

We arrived at this Harvey s around 3:00 on a Friday. There were two girls working the counter ... one on cash and one working the drive thru/counter. The line waiting for their food was long and we had to wait at least 10-15 min for our food as the drive-thru was more important. I finally got my order but my sister s order was missing her daughter s burger. She had to wait an additional 10 min or so for them to figure out they forgot to make her burger. No apology whatsoever! Wouldn t recommend stopping here for food anytime soon.

Very disappointing. We took our food to go only to find out while driving, that our sandwiches were terrible. I took one bite of my chicken sandwich and noticed that it was undercooked. My husbands hamburger tasted terrible and looked undercooked as well. We usually enjoy Harveys but were very disappointed with our experience here.

Went a while back and it was by far my most memorable and amazing Harveys experience. We were coming back from a meeting in Toronto, headed back to Montreal, decided to stop at Napanee to fill up on gas and eat. Freshest Harveys burger Ive ever eaten, period. I sometimes consider driving down from Montreal just to have it again.

Just after 12 earlier today accidentally went in Harveys door instead of KFC (next unit same plaza). Went up to cash and absentmindedly asked for 3 of the Tuesday Specials to go. Was met the rudest reception and attempt to humiliate me for making a mistake by a middle-aged lady with glasses. Unbelievable for a human being much less someone in Customer Service. Lots of burger choices in town - will NEVER darken that doorway intentionally or by accident again.

I went to Harveys today to get lunch and take it to my spouse for lunch at noon. I ordered around 11:45 and I waited 15 minutes in order to get the food. Very slow.
