Sushi Nori in Napanee

The rolls were a bit disappointing last time. Almost every type of roll contains imitation crab meat. But I would like to see different types of fish. We had the best sushi and rolls in Napanee a year ago, now it s a disappointment

The service, oh boy. I am not sure if the lady working there was racist (despite her own minority background), or she just hated everyone lol. We asked a question about the food. Immediately, she asked us to leave. I was confused. lol.

Foods good but holy crap is the lady rude, not sure if it s because of the way I look and she doesn t like that or if she s rude to everyone but she stares at me like I m gonna steal or punch her square in the face

We ve tried other places but this is the best sushi we ve had, and go through phases where we order a couple times a week lol Love their services so much, the people in there are so nice, I think they recognized my number because my partner and I ordered a few times from them and threw in some free dumplings and often miso soup. Stop by and give them a try you won t regret it!

My very first time at Sushi Nori was so wonderful. The owner was so very sweet, he insists that his customers get nothing but the very best of everything! While waiting I was served with a cup of tea, I watched as he effortlessly put together my order of Kani rolls and served them to my table. I have been back many times since then and the service has always been nothing short of perfection from start to finish

Been before, will be again. Ive had orders wrong, they tasted fine wasnt worth going back to get the right rolls. The gentleman is always friendly with us and has treated us to some extra treats. Ignore the bad reviews, its a small shop, in a small town, he cant keep a large menu with 20 different fish options, when the dishes depend on fresh perishable ingredients. You went to a sushi place, and you gave McDonalds a better review. Sushi Nori is good, with options for vegetarians also. You are in Ontario, the middle of a continent judging the authenticity of sushi?...... Good place, Good menu, decent pricing, Ive been here multiple times, eaten at many sushi restaurants across Ontario, this place does the trick, Im on my way right now to pick up another order.

Bar far, the best tasting sushi Ive had in over a decade. At first I was a little concerned about the price, like the special rolls but they are HUGE and packed with awesome quality ingredients. I had the Unagi (BBQ eel) and was amazing while my wife had the Boston roll... Outstanding! The kids even found rolls they like. The service was great and everything was ready earlier than expected. Going back as soon as possible.

Sushi nori is a great place to go for sushi they are fast and the food is always fresh. The inside of the store has a great selection of items to purchase like steamed dumpling baskets and other special items for Asian cuisine. I love being able to stop in for sushi on my way home from work

We ordered and the order was supposed to be $66 (not including tax) and I show up and they tell us then, not when we ordered over the phone that prices went up and the order was now $96... wouldve been nice to have a heads up, wont be coming back if they want to upcharge last second

Amazing sushi. Better than any place I ve had. The service was excellent, portions were plenty and prices on par for any place downtown Kingston. Highly recommend. Maybe get your hair cut & a beer next door and grab some sushi to go home with.

Continuously going downhill, couldnt even eat my last order, all went to the trash. The female owner hates her work and has given up. I guarantee she would prefer it if no one showed up to her establishment ever again. Its a shame, liked having a place to get simple Japanese food.

Fast, cheap and amazing quality! Really nice vegetarian rolls. Ordered 3 rolls and it was ready in 10 minutes. Price is cheaper than the grocery store and the sushi is much better quality. The real pickled ginger (not the red stuff) and the high quality wasabi and soy sauce is a nice touch too!

Mom and pop sushi shop! Fresh, delicious and authentic. No dine-in, take out only. Will be my go-to local spot.

Before you order from here, know there is no sit in option. Aside from that the couple inside is wonderful and pleasing. And the food is phenomenal. Ill be coming back.

Good friendly fast service, does allow for customized orders, and the food is soo good and freshly made each order... Only down side the eating area is a bar with 3 seats, not much space inside however kind of adds to its vibes, and honestly only negative thing I have to say about here if thats if you want a spacious eating area.

I have never been a Sushi fan coming from Toronto. But this place is great! Great service, great food. It took a little longer than quoted, but its Mothers Day. Some flexibility is needed.

I have had sushi in all the big cities (Ottawa, Toronto, MTL) hands down this is one of best sushi spots I have ever tried. I work in the area so we order every week or so and we are never disappointed. The salmon sashimi (not on menu but they offer sashimi) is one of the freshest and delicious. The owners and staff are very welcoming and accommodating.

Best Sushi in the Quinte Region! Spent years living on Vancouver Island, and have never been able to find sushi as good as I had there (Fujiya in Victoria if youre ever there), that is until I had Sushi Nori for the first time. The quality is top notch, the pricing is great, and staff are always so friendly. Worth the trip into Napanee! The Tofu Tempura is phenomenal!

I always enjoy Sushi Nori as a treat, the owners are friendly and the service is great. Small restaurant without a lot of seating, I usually order a take away Bento box, but when I have dined in the server was super attentive and friendly.

I was not expecting such good food. Fresh sashimi, the tempura shrimp was perfect. Honestly, might be the best sushi Ive ever had (Ive had quite a lot ahha)

They cannot even take orders on the phone. Called a few times but kept saying thank you no way of communication ? Wasted my time.

After eating my fair share of sushis in my life, this surely has been amongst the best Ive eaten. Veggies taste fresh, wasabi is as spicy as it should be, the cream cheese melts in your mouth as you eat them, and the deep fry is genuinely crunchy without being too oily or too fat. 5/5 totally worth the trip, especially for a local business to support during these COVID-19 times.

AMAZING, if you are new to sushi this is an incredible start! They make high quality fresh sushi that s made with in 15-45 minutes depending on how busy they are. They re ordering is simple and easy to understand. The owners are an extremely friendly Japanese couple (from my understanding) and are definitely worth a try! ( Tip: if you order a lot you get bonus food and treats ;) )

Ive been coming here pretty much since theyve opened and Ive never been disappointed! Im always impressed with how great the food is, always. I normally ask for my sushi to be fried and its always amazing! The service is always good, the owner is always smiling and very friendly with customers, there was a girl working there once who was also very friendly and would chat with you while you wait. As for the people commenting on the wait times and the selection, you have to understand that it is a small business with a small kitchen and normally only one person working, cant expect them to be super humans and serve a full line of people in under 15 minutes now. Ignore the bad reviews, this place is amazing! Buy a few boxes of Pocky while youre there!

Im from Victoria, BC so I know my sushi lol. Moving out here I found it hard to find good sushi. I tried several places that appeared to have good reviews but I left disappointed everytime. When I found Sushi Nori I was blown away! For sure the best place around for sushi. Always welcomed with warm inviting smiles. Sushi is very good everytime. Fresh ingredients and fast. My go to place for sushi now.

Best sushi around, wont find better sushi in a 100km area.

A friend and I were refused entry/service today because we had our service dogs with us. We were told no dogs as soon as we entered, even though they were vested and we explained they were service dogs. The owner/staff need to brush up on The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act which clearly states that service dogs are to be given access with their handlers as they are considered medical equipment. Thank you for showing us that your restaurant does not believe people with disabilities are allowed to eat at this sushi restaurant.

Welcoming, no nonsense sushi joint with accessible and comforting standards. 4 of us had Bento boxes for dinner. Miso starter was strongly flavoured, the sushi presentation middling but freshly made, and the tempura a highlight--light and perfectly done.

If you are into passive aggressive customer service, dirty and sticky tables and very stale sushi, then this is your place to visit

Unfriendly service ever. My friend recommended the place but it was my friends first mistake, I hate to say. The food was mediocre. My mother liked the interior so she took some pictures and was told no pictures as it was registered in a museum. The lady served us as we were getting a free meal or something. Lets say if it was a free meal, the service shouldnt be unfriendly. The service needs to be courteous. The attitude towards customer needs to be consistent no matter what background they are from. We saw the lady who served us was laughing, chatting and being nice to a caucasian lady customer. We felt so angry. Never return.

Nicely sized rolls (Red and Green Dragon rolls). Good portion sizes for the appetizers (Shrimp tempura and gyoza) for the price. Both equally tasty in a nice quiet and quaint setting.

The place itself on the inside looks like some weird kiosk. Like why do they sell door handles there ? Anyway , we werent eating there , we were just picking up a takeout. They charged us an extra 1.50$ for spicey mayo even thoguh we bought susi for 44$ ... And they messed up our order and gave us a wrong roll. But , on a more positive note , the Gyoza were Amazing , never ate such good Gyoza before. I understood that the guy makes them fresh right there or something. We tried the veggie one and it was superb. The susi was very big and with good proportions of the ingredients in them. Tasty :p
