Walking distance from The Ritz Carlton, the allure of beachside dining and the cool breezes of Cowpet Bay bring locals and tourists alike to enjoy the freshest seafood served on island. Come for the seafood, stay for the hospitality. Caribbean Fish Market perfectly captures the essence of Caribbean cuisine, imbued with worldly inspired flavors. Our inclusive menu offers an array of diverse dishes, from steak, chicken and vegetarian options and of course our iconic pastry, for the perfect finish to an extraordinary beachside dining experience.
Service was good. Waiter was nice and knowledgeable. Cooks did not understand the order. Butter was put on my veggies when I asked for no dairy. Person who brought the food was not my waiter and didn't speak English. I was given completely different food than what I asked for. I wasn't paying for the meal and was with a group, but if I was paying I would have asked for a full refund. The service also took over two hours and they were not particularly busy.
Sunset dinner with a beautiful view. Our waiter would sing as he was bringing us our drinks and food!l, lol. The largest and Best stuffed lobster I’ve ever had!
My husband & I stayed at Elysian and we were hesitant to try Caribbean Fish Market after reading the mixed reviews but I am happy we decided to try it because we had a great experience. Both our meals were great & service was quick and super attentive. My husband had the stuffed lobster & I had the Seafood Hot Pot. The Calamari was also delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with our experience. We also hung out at the bar a couple nights since we stayed at Elysian. Nice clean bar and good company.
Table for 4 at 7:30 pm’s and didn’t have a long wait and they were very busy at this time. Our server was nice and the entrees are $$$ we were only going to have appetizers with a beverage since it was a long travel to STT, and they were delicious. We imagine the entrees would be just as amazing. If time allows we hope to come back, we enjoyed it and would recommend. There were a lot of well dressed folks, wasn’t a casual attire place, I felt underdressed, but I don’t really care, we are on vacation 😆
We went here after receiving several recommendations from people, unfortunately we had a bad experience. Our waitress was promoting her side business, which I would have been okay with had it not affected our meal. We ordered two apps and two mains. The apps came out quickly but it took 40 min to get the main dishes. A couple that came in after we placed our order got their food before us. I had to chase down a server to get someone to check on our food. We ran out of water twice and had to keep asking for it.i had the grouper which was mediocre at best, not a $60 meal at all. The sea bass was very good. I hate we had such a bad experience because we were looking forward to it for a few days.
I rarely give 5 stars. This place was amazing! They have the best steak I have eaten in a very long time. The Korean wings make my mouth water just thinking about them now. The shrimp tacos were on the small side, but the taste made up for it. Nice little appetizer. Beautiful waterside ambiance. Pricy, but well worth it. I wish we had a CFM back home 😔.
Underrated! This place is so good. Best Chilean sea bass I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is nice- right on the beach! Definitely on the pricier side, but the quality and taste makes it worth it!
Nice location right on the beach front. Lots of outdoor and indoor seating. Nicely sized full bar. Found atmosphere and overall lighting pleasing. We found the food to be good but not great. Noodles not fully cooked and fish was under salted and on the bland side. Crab cakes are nice but on the fishy tasting side. The pork chop was well cooked and juicy. Good option for a nice dinner.
Good food. Nice ambiance. Service was good. Plenty of gluten free options. We enjoyed all the food. Located inside the Elysian resort and close to the beach. Food
We ordered grouper and calamari. Grouper was good but I felt it was not that special for a price.
The Ambassador was the best waiter we ve ever had! His food recommendations were spot on (Caribbean red snapper and coconut cake were his suggested must-haves), and everything we ordered was fantastic. He personally sang my mother happy birthday and has the voice of an angel. We will definitely be back next time we re on the island.
We were here 17 years ago and returned for nostalgic reasons- the meal was excellent- oysters from Massachusetts began the meal and the Sea Stew Pot and Caribbean Stuffed Lobster definitely met our expectations. We recommend this dining experience.
The food and service are always some of the best on the island.
Had a couple people recommend but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations mostly due to the poor service. My wife had her water glass empty for 15 minutes and a sauce was forgotten on our order. Additionally, although my drink was remade I did originally get a CFM mojito but they forgot to put in the lines Calamari was the highlight for sure that was a very good dish but other dishes were not memorable.
Wonderful restaurant. Outstanding appetizer, drinks and crab crusted grouper for dinner. A great experience.
Simply put, the food was ok but not worth the price nor was the portion size commensurate with the asking. Like others, I tried it based off of other recommendations but certainly wasn t blown away at all.
We stayed in the condos next to the restaurant. We are dinner there two times and had appetizers and dessert another time. Being in close proximity to the Ritz Carlton I feel like they are trying to be an upscale destination restaurant. I tried to make a reservation directly from one of the hostesses in the afternoon, neither one would give me the time of day. My wife made reservations through open table and put in that we were my daughters engagement. Obviously the two hostess, the same two that blew me off could care less about the special event tab. They were too busy screwing around on their cell phones and could care less about doing their jobs. The waiters all three nights were mediocre. If you are going to charge 5 star prices as the customer I would expect the service to match. Id recommend getting rid of the young rude hostesses, and retrain your wait staff or drop your prices.
Beautiful
Paid $26 for this. Plain iceberg salad missing half the ingredients listed on the menu
Not recommending this place. We came at 5:55pm, only two or three tables were occupied and they told us (group of 6) that they didn t have any available tables because they were overbooked . I don t want to say this but I think it was because we are puertoricans. If I could give negative stats I would give a -4 rating.
I came here quite often bc I was staying at Elysian. It was convenient. Food was good. Just disappointed in the mussels. Broth was delish! But the mussels themselves overcooked more than once. Some were just dried to the shell. The atmosphere was nice the only reason I gave it 4 stars is bc of the bug bites I got. I had 45 bites in two days. Got them while I was dining. Maybe add some screens? Anyways, the service was great! One person in particular, Samantha the Bartender! This woman knows how to hustle and manage to throw out a great personality at all times! Her aura just radiates and makes you enjoy your time! This woman is definitely a keeper! She will make business rise!! Thanks for the great times!
Not the best, seated fast. The bartender with the annoying voice (Disney character) was very rude and tried to kick us out while we waited for the food order they messed up on.. nice scenery besides that. They do ask for you to book ahead of time.
$$$$ Absolutely Phenomenal... The Ambassador (lol) was the name of our waiter. Hands down the best. Truly a tranquil & delightful place to eat.
This place is a total scam!! Fish tastes like Walmart frozen food, all pre cooked. Service is -100. You get better service at a food truck. Price is $$$$$, 60 dollar for a plate of disgusting food. Fish bar is 100 times better. Clean decent and tasty.
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! This was hands down one of the worst meals I have ever had. With this price range you would thought it is an upscale restaurant with fresh food but everything except for the snapper literally tasted like store-bought frozen food. I can t believe I paid an average of $50 / dish. Service is non-existence.
This is the worst meal I ve ever had in my life. The noodles were undercooked, the dish was lukewarm, the fish meat hard as leather, and the seasoning was terrible. The chef at this restaurant is a pretentious scam who doesn t know how to cook but insists on making fusion cuisine. I tried to get the bill halfway through the meal but was refused immediately and being told the dish was already being prepared. I can t believe this place has such high ratings. The service was extremely poor. To give an example, the seafood hot pot was served in a small black bowl meant for mussels, and it wasn t even half full. The contents were just a mix of frozen seafood that you can buy from a supermarket. This dish cost me nearly $60, and even at $15, I would consider it trash among trash.
We had a great meal here. Love the atmosphere on the beach. Hopefully you re lucky enough to get Mr. big life to wait on you! He was awesome
First the good. The atmosphere/vibe of the place is great. You have some of the best views anywhere. Additionally our service was EXCELLENT. Our waiter, The Ambassador, was great, highly attentive and had great personality. If hes your waiter youre in for a good time. Now the not so good. The entrees here are just OK. Which is sad because the appetizers are really really great. If youre getting appetizers try the Korean wings or Calamari or the shrimp tacos. Unfortunately the entrees dont live up the the high bar the appetizers set. I had the pork chop and it was try. My daughter had the USVI Wahoo. It was flavorless. My recommendation would be if you are going to come here come during happy hour. That way you can get appetizers and great drinks. Dont come for dinner.
We had such a delightful meal here. Everything was absolutely delicious. The Ambassador was our waiter, and he pushed our experience over the top. He was caring and service-oriented, and truly a joy to be around. Thank you for an amazing meal in St. Thomas. Would definitely recommend.
I came here out of a friend s recommendation. I ordered the happy Hour Bang Bang shrimp tacos and was somewhat disappointed. Now, the food here (in the island) is pricey. But these were three minitacos for $15. Again, food is pricey. The shrimp was tempura style and dead cold. Was starving so I ate them but even the taco shell fell old. I still have one course to go and hopefully it will tuen things around
The atmosphere here is AMAZING. The location is everything . You re right on the beach and can feel the breeze from the ocean . The servers were so nice . I ordered the stuffed lobster because it look delicious but it wasn t that great to me. The servings were a good size but it was expensive and not very good . Would recommend the place but not the stuffed lobster !
The atmosphere and service were excellent; however, the food was appallingly poor considering the price. I had undercooked rice, overcooked noodles that were borderline rubbery, and the fish was either frozen or old. The restaurants was talked up a lot while we were on the island, but it was the worst fish we had during our stay.
Great experience. Fantastic food. Lobster and grouper were amazing. Terrific views right on the beach. Only reason for 4-stars is the cost.
Nice semi-open air restaurant on the Club Wyndham Elysian Resort. The service and the food are good. The location is very nice. The restaurant is pretty at night with the lighting, the torches, and the nearby beach. There were several very large tables when we were there so our service suffered a bit. Being on a resort, we were eventually surrounded by boisterous families and crying children but we enjoyed the overall experience nonetheless. The Lamb Lollipops are LEGIT.
Best seafood ever. Great waiter. Ginger creme brulee was a revelation! Bring bug spray to fully enjoy the beautiful location. Large party everyone pleased!
Food was good, but was expecting to go Mmm When I ate it but didnt, probably would try again but not order the surf and turf, wasnt really worth the price. Food
I left the mainland to go to St. Thomas for a 4 day vacation with my son for a delayed Father s Day experience the fish market restaurant St. Thomas Cape kept on coming up on multiple websites and reviews. We were excited to make plans and go there for a wonderful dinner. 1 Location Amazing right on the beach very beautiful. 2. Our waiter don t Remember his name very nice guy from up state New York very attentive. 3. Maybe didn t read the description very well was a little surprised when we were charged $11 for a small loaf of hot bread and honey butter. It was an actual appetizer which pretty much around the world is standard table service no big deal. 4. Ordered a glass of red Zandale Was not listed he suggested another one that was not listed Menu and it arrived and it was very nice 5.I ordered of calamari and a very sweet and tangy sauce shortly came after we did not have to wait too long. It was delicious. However it did have somewhat of an aftertaste like as if it s been frozen for a long time and I m very convinced it was frozen. 6. My son ordered coconut shrimp and I ordered the 1 pound whole Snapper and a ginger sauce. Let me start off to tell you immediately that I never complain about anything ever but for the actual food itself my sons coconut shrimp was so heavily coated. He had to cut away 2/3 of breading and coconut even discover that there was shrimp meaning highly processed coconut shrimp in a bag from overseas and he said it didn t taste like much of anything. Terrible Huge let down! My 1 pound hole snapper Which how much 1lbs = 16 oz. There s no way this was 16oz of fish for the price of $49 just for the little steamed fish with ginger sauce! It was terrible Towards the end of our meal, we did witness the resident chef come in and out of the kitchen to speak to staff members and bartenders. I was really hoping that our waiter would have brought him over to address any concerns that we had with our that never happened nor am I that person who screams and demands a refund or anything of that nature. we were not offered coffee, tea or any after dinner drinks my son did ask for a dessert menu and had the orange cheesecake he said it was fantastic. Enclosing I think this restaurant is extremely nice wonderful location very friendly. Staff did not have to wait Long for the food was very fast almost too Fast . I think the waiter can use a little bit more reading room / training in my opinion should have informed Chef of my dismay of the meal. The one thing he did say at the end of the meal after I paid the bill and left a very good gratuity, which is what I do every time he apologized and his statement to me that shocked me was Its just Resort food enclosing for myself and my 14-year-old son one glass of wine one appetizer, two entrées and one shared dessert, including gratuity with US$200 earlier that day we stopped at a roadside gas station with a local restaurant Dominican style food inside the gas station had the most incredible five course lunch meal which included stew, beef, stew conch rice beans , and other fixings and a great staff and atmosphere for $45 I wish then best of luck
Caribbean Fish Market was our second dinner on St. Thomas this trip. It is a resort restaurant meaning it s in a resort, and open to the general public. All things considered, it was pretty good! Karla was our waitress, she did a great job! Attentive, responsive, but not intrusive. Thanks Karla! We had a cocktail and started with the calamari appetizer great calamari until you reached the bottom of the dish were the sauce laden calamari was soggy. We tried a couple of salads next the watermelon salad and the shrimp wedge. Both salads were good, but suffered from an over abundance of sauces. On the watermelon salad, too much of the raspberry puree; on the wedge salad, too much dressing. Recommend you ask for the dressings on the side. We both ordered fish entrees, the sea bass and the grouper. Both fish were delicious, but again, the polenta/rice on the bottom of the dished swallowed the entrees. Sometimes less is more! We had a glass of Pinot Grigio and the key like pie for dessert. Wine was good, the key lime pie was better the highlight of the evening. Good experience at CFM, but with so many other offerings on the island, we likely won t be back. As a resort restaurant it s more geared to residents than visitors.
My first time there with my wife and friends and I love everything about it. The food was delicious and the service was great respectful and polite.
The USVI wahoo was ok not great. Caribbean lobster was good. Lamb lollipops were excellent and the lobster bisque was ok.
Had difficulty finding it. Food was good
Beautiful place. Great view of the harbor. We had the cowboy steak, and it wasnt tender or well souced. The horseradish sauce was red wine and pepper. The asparagus was broccoli. The server was attentive but forgetful. If I go there again, Ill get some fish. Food
We celebrated my mother in laws 70th birthday and the staff made it very special. Amazing food! My son love whole cooked snapper and they did a great job preparing it. If you are on this side of the Island and want a great atmosphere with food to match, eat at Caribbean Fish Market.
Clean, friendly atmosphere. We ordered the cowboy steak and it was delicious! Perfectly cooked. We were served broccoli instead of asparagus, which was fine but a bit disappointing. Our server did a fine job taking care of us too.
For the price you pay you expect to have incredible food. Review is based on our order. We started with the calamari with tamarind sauce. Very good For entree my wife got coconut shrimp and i got the whole snapper. The coconut shrimp was uneatable. Very hard to bite and horrible taste. But the sauce, vegetables and rice where good. The red snapper was good because of its sauce, but snapper itself a little bland. We left almost all shrimp in plate and server collected plate she did not care that we did not like the shrimp and we got charged $49 for a plate we only eat rice and vegetables. Overall food was ok but lack of empathy for the shrimp plate will be hard to come back to pay $200 for an ok meal. There s plenty of places around for half the price.
Completely overrated. I recently dined at Caribbean Fish Market for dinner, and I must say, it was a mixed experience. While the appetizers of calamari and watermelon arugula salad were decent, I was quite disappointed with the buttered poached lobster tail. It was tiny, overcooked, and excessively salty, making it completely inedible. Despite expressing my concerns to both the server and the manager, they offered no solution or alternative options. This lack of customer service was truly disappointing and marred what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. Overall, I left feeling dissatisfied and frustrated.
One of the better restaurant for a good meal on the island. The atmosphere is very nice, the bar is lively and open air dining is nice. The staff and attitude can vary and that is the only downside.
Service was excellent, best we had on the islamd. Food was very good though have had better for the price in VI. Kid-friendliness: Really liked the kids menu -- not just your standard chicken fingers and hamburgers. It is pricey (about half the cost of an adult entree, so over $20) but big portions and very tasty.
Everything was amazing. The lamb was fantastic, the sea bass was out of this world. White chocolate ice cream wow!! Will absolutely be back
Excellent meal at CFM. We had the calamari app, the stuffed pork chop, crab cakes, and coconut shrimp. Great preparation. Everything was outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, and service was attentative. The key lime pie with pineapple ice cream and the coconut cake were both delicious. The grounds of the Elysian are gorgeous. Well manicured and clean. Would absolutely recommend Caribbean Fish Market for a nice dinner on St. Thomas.
Wow! What a great restaurant. The food was freash, hot, and delicious. Our server was amazing, always checking on you and making sure your drink was full. The view was beautiful.
The atmosphere and view is the only reason our dinner gets 2 stars. The rest of the experience was bad. - Service was slow given how many other tables we full - The food was very heavy. Particularly the crab- crusted grouper. There was nothing crusted about the crab. It was a heavy layer of crab lumped on top of the fish is a very creamy sauce. - The kicker was finding a hair in the lobster bisque. And it wasn t a hair from anyone s head (which understandably could accidentally fall into a dish) - it was a short and curly from someone body. While that was disgusting to the find - the resolution from the server was equally as egregious. He offered a new bowl of bisque with almost no apology or level of concern. Come on man - There is no way I m trusting another ladle of your tainted soup. So instead they took it off the bill and offered no other recourse. I don t need a free meal but in the service businesses I owned, a manager would have come over and profusely apologized and seen what could be done to rectify the bad experience. I would find somewhere else to go - Pesce, Raw and 3 Palms were all great (even though they are owned by the same restaurant group).
The food was EXTREMELY DISGUSTING, i would sue if i was petty enough , but there food is ridiculously nasty for a high price too? chh plz . them fuk tasted like 2 dollar food. the forks were not washed well either. And the sauce tasted like oil. GOODNIGHT .
Visited this Sunday for brunch, would not return because of bad service. 3/4 of the group ordered bottomless mimosa at 1 (brunch finishes at 2). Nearly 30 minutes, we still did not receive the drinks, we decided to tell the waiter forget the bottomless and we ll do an individual glass. He said ok I got you on the first ones. When it s the time for the bill, we saw bottom less mimosa on the check, when we were to be charged for 1 additional glass we ordered aside from what the server said he would cover. We expressed our concern to him and his reply was I don t remember telling you that along with snarky and rude remarks. I ll also add in that this waiter couldn t remember if we ordered bottomless mimosas or bloody Mary s. We requested the manager s presence, this also came with no professionalism. He basically insinuated that we were lying, didn t bother to hear our side of the story and when asked if he was present for the conversation between the server and us his reply was no but people do this all the time . As a local this was quite saddening and disappointing. I don t gain anything from taking away from a local business and it s quite foolish to run out on a bill on a 32 square mile island. Pros: Beautiful scenery and ambiance
Great food
Red Snapper came out excellent! My tenderloin came out perfect medium rare.
Had both dinner and brunch here. Food quality was excellent on both occasions. They do have a happy hour every day with small discounts on drinks and apps. We had a new waiter one night who needs development. Other than that, our experiences here were very good.
Best seafood EVER! Seriously best I ve ever had. We had tamarind calamari to start, entrees were grouper and sea bass, then shared key lime pie and ice cream sandwich for dessert. They make everything fresh even the ice cream! The attention to detail crafting each dish really showcases the love they have for the food. The service and the vibe was amazing. My husband almost fell asleep on the couches there.
Wonderful sea food and service at your restaurant. The Sea Bass was great, but I expected a decent portion! Your price point of $58 is very much inflated!! Still, the food came quickly and the female server was very pleasant! First time there for dinner and I will be back. Just wont order the Sea Bass!!
The best restaurants on the island so far. Great menu with some new additions like fondue. The wahoo was delicious. Good service. Very nice setting right on the beach. Nice bar too.
We went with a large group earlier in the day and were amazed to get right in, highly recommend getting reservations at they are typically booked up. The Ambassador was our server and was outstanding! We tried several items to share, food was great but I can t get over the desserts. You must save room for the Key Lime Pie!
Omg. The food was amazing . I had the lobster and it was too die for. Cooked to perfection. I will definitely come again
Gave it two dinner tries on our 5 day stay. The service was 100% disappointing. The absolute worst of our trip. Will say, the location is pretty. If you get the right table/server and order the right plate, you may have a better experience. It is very much overrated in our experience. Theres way better on the east end.
This place is right on Cowpet bay and it has a beautiful view with a breeze right off of the ocean. It is very well decorated and classy. It s very pricey but to be expected for an upscale place. The food was quite good and so was the service. Would recommend for a special date night or birthday dinner.
Very medium, overpriced. The wait staff was amateurish, the lobster was overcooked, nothing was impressive, and the bill came to 500 dollars for 5 adults splitting three entrees, with no appetizers and a modest bottle of wine.
The staff was phenomenal. Kevin was attentive and informative. The food was delicious.
Food is way too over priced for both the service and the taste you would think for the price point you would at least get average service and above average tasting food unfortunately both were extremely underwhelming, don t get an app as a main and if you do get a main anything other than the sea bass really isn t worth your dollar. Expect to wait 20+ min for the waiter for every single thing, (app, main, desert, check) will not go there again.
THE BEST RESTAURANT ON THE ENTIRE ISLAND!! Ask for the Ambassador! He s the best waiter, remembered us and our drink orders from before, great sense of humor and knows everything about the menu! The food and drinks were perfection with a fun, lively atmosphere to match. The local lobster with a shrimp topping was my favorite and my husband loved his tomahawk. My son LOVED his steak! Make a reservation and make sure you eat here!
Kid-friendliness: My son loved their grilled cheese and french fries Food
Incredible food, atmosphere and service.
Wow. Not sure why anyone would give this less than 5 stars. And when your waiter addresses the table the 1st time and says my name is Mr. Big Life and Ill run the show tonight.....just sit back and enjoy. What a perfect night.
Very pricey experience for very average food. Bokchoy is basically raw. Mahi-mahi was dry and completely unflavored. They coated it in sesame basically to hide how bland the fish mean. It was bad both cooked and raw. Chicken was passable, pasta was hard. Overall thoroughly unenjoyable experience.
Party of 7 tonight. Everything was good except the stuffed lobster. I ordered a 2.5 lb and it showed up as a 2 lb plus 1/2 of a 1 lbs (yes, 3 half lobsters). And the small one was rotten - the body cavity was black and stained the shrimp stuffing and the tail was mealy revolting. And so they offered to get me a new half small one or just not charge me for the rotten portion. I didn t push it, the rest of our party did fine. But wow, hard to imagine how that made it out of the kitchen and then the remediation was odd. So yeah, seems more tourist trap than a good restaurant, which is too bad b/c it was recommended to us by locals and there were for sure parts to like.
Excellent food .. A+
But on the pricier side but solid food. Dessert was great and excellent cocktails.
Overpriced for the quality of the food. The grouper was overcooked and quite a small piece. The risotto was crunchy and very unattractive. The brocollini was undercooked and not seasoned at all.. That was it for $50. No bread. No salad or soup. In summary, for that price, the food should have been delicious. It was not.
My family of 5 were really excited to eat at this establishment. First, the appetizers were amazing..the Brussel sprouts and the Koren wings..delicious! Our server was Kiki, sweet lady. Unfortunately 4 one out of of 5 of our meals were a disappointment! The lemon chicken has absolutely no lemon. It taste like taco seasoning chicken. The potatoes were barely warm. The second meal, the stuffed grouper, was definitely frozen and not cooked all the way. Didn t notice that until my son was half done eating it. The filet was decent, but ordered it medium and came out rare. Sent it back and took about 20 minutes to get back to the table. Hubby ordered the seafood Hot Pot and the calamai was chewy and I can guarantee the seafood was frozen, not fresh! We complained to the manager and she removed the grouper from our bill. She didn t seem to interested about the other issues. I recommended they change the name of the lemon chicken since there isn t any lemon in the dish! Way over priced and food not great for the price. If you don t mind spending big bucks for mediocre food , give it a try.
Had a perfect steak here and enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, too. Waiter was very nice and accomodating.
Truly wonderful dining experience. Great food, served quickly and attentively. Priced the same as all other decent places on the island but much better food!
The food was good but the service was poor and the server made several mistakes that could have been resolved by writing down our orders. I would be willing to order the food but it would need to be in a self service form. I enjoyed the brunch poke bowl which had perfectly cooked soft boiled eggs.
Beautiful vistas, Fine Dining . We had the fish tacos for starters which were good , I didnt care for the crisp tortilla used but the Caribbean shrimp was tasty as was the sauce they used. Then we had the shrimp penne as entrees .. Very good . My wife had a glass of the Italian Mosaco, I washed it down with some Heineken. Overall very good ... A bit pricey Parking: Plenty of parking, Family friendly
The value for the money was not there. We had mostly fish and some was a little overcooked. Don t order key lime pie if you expect traditional key lime pie. The ambiance and presentation was good. It is a resort, so you should expect families and small Kids. Service was good.
Great spot for brunch, single , couple, groups , or families. I recommend making a reservations as this is a very popular spot. The ambience was perfect, situated right on the beach however open air seating us optional. Parking can be a small challenge during peak time. Our waitress was the perfect representation of hospitality. The food was delicious! My only complaint were the Hush Puppies, they seemed prefab, overcooked and extremely hard, other than that our food options were all delightful! I will definitely be back.
Order the Chilean Sea Bass, it will change your life! Seriously though, it was incredible! Prime rib wednesdays, and brunch on sundays from 10-2. Just go there!
High quality meal, super service, great atmosphere. Seafood hot pot pictures below.
Great atmosphere heard a lot about they music being to bad. When I was there it was fine. The food while amazing on presentation lacked sorely in cooking. The fish was on the verge of being raw. And the shrimp salad had little effort put into it. Waitress was nice and the place was clean. Overall not bad.
Food was ok I went for brunch the service was good and the atmosphere was beautiful
Service was terrible and took over an hour to get our food that was mediocre at best
The food is delicious and varied, with some unique items such as a delicious hot pot which we tried.
Great food, but it took 90minutes to get a round of entrees. Server was nice but had too many tables to give us A quality service. 4/5 stars, get the stuffed Caribbean lobster. Cost 6 of us $600.
Had dinner reservations for an outside table. We got to sit inside, so that was diappointing. Had the pear and brie flatbread, it was very good and enough for 4 people. I had the crab stuffed grouper, it was ok. It was lukewarm in temperature, flavor was fair. My husband had the seabass, slightly overcooked, but had good flavor. Tara was our waitress and she did great. Nice environment.
A magical evening. The staff was super friendly surf and turf was delicious. Sunset was gorgeous.
By far the best food weve had on the island. The seafood was delicious and the desserts were great! The grouper was exceptional and the key lime pie was even better.
Loved this place, got the Lobster, and the Surf N Turf, was not disappointed. All I can say is Life! Food : 5/5
Everything was simply mediocre, not bad, not good. Our server was kind but seemed rushed and non personable at all. When we ordered the first two things I tried to order from the menu they did not have and we weren t told this prior to trying to order. The ambiance was nice but portions were extremely small. We tried the hot pot and the calamari was extremely over cooked. For the quality of the food it s pretty over priced and nothing special.
Just finished a very disappointing dinner. Although the food was average, the service was very much below average. For starters, It would have been nice of Karla to tell us that the two choices of water were $7 a bottle. It was obvious to all of us that Karla had no interest in providing her customers with an enjoyable dinner experience. She never smiled, was short and curt with her responses and not at all attentive. Sorry to say, but I would not recommend this restaurant .
We had reservation we have been there several times in last two weeks. We were coming to this place for 20 years! This time, The host, young Mikel (?) was very arrogant and not friendly. We canceled our reservation and left to different restaurant. Too bad.
Like the eggs benedict with zucchini and avocado Hollandaise sauce
Food was top quality. pork lollipops were awesome. very friendly staff.
Food is ready with a quickness, cocktails are delicious and atmosphere is dream like. The service from the bar staff is not the greatest, they were not helpful explaining anything and actually rude more than once in the 3x I visited. The hibiscus cocktail paired with the watermelon arugula salad is to die for, perfect after a beach day
Overpriced and barely mediocre food with pretty dismal service from a bunch of snarky and surly eye-rolling Americans. Beer was a local IPA called Reef Life and was the only redeeming quality. Would never recommend or go back.
We had an amazing meal for my aunt and uncles 30th wedding anniversary. The lamb lollipops were amazing and probably my favorite dish that we had. Our group also enjoyed the lobster bisque, watermelon salad, Korean wings, shrimp penne, local wahoo, and kids pizza and grilled cheese. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the service was good for being a busy Friday night, and the atmosphere was great! Vegetarian options: They have 3 salads and a flatbread that would suit a vegetarian diet. Parking: Plenty of free parking is available. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu, non alcoholic drinks, and desserts. The restaurant is also right on the beach, so you can always take the kids for a walk along the beach. Id they get restless at the tablem
Food was good. We ordered stuffed lobster and whole snapper. Fresh. The whole snapper was good. Our server, Mr. Biggs/Montoya was great. Drinks were okay, but not memorable. All around great intro for our first day on the island.
For our group, this restaurant was in the top 3 locations we visited for dinner. Asian wings are very good. The sea bass was excellent as was the filet mignon. Highly recommend.
Great lobster, and standout service.
Kind of pricey, but hey, we had a huge lobster!
I ve never had such a rude waitress in my life. She should be fired for the way she treated our party of 9 people tonight. She was so rude and when asked about the menu, she acted like I was bothering her with a question. This was a very disappointing experience!
Over priced, average food with small portions.
I was shocked to find this place highly recommended as the food was extremely disappointing and downright misleading. We ordered the lobster bisque which was more of a tomato soup than a bisque. For entrees we had the filet mignon which was very obviously a tenderloin and not an actual filet mignon but at the filet mignon price. I had the seafood paella which included something called the fresh catch. I wish I was joking but this ended up being chicken, which was more predominant than any other meat in the paella. These three dishes and a glass of wine totaled $180 in one of the most disappointing meals Ive had in my life. There are far better options on the island than this so please save your money and go elsewhere.
The food was really great. Service was exceptional. My only issue is that I witnessed the hostess in the ladies restroom, and upon exiting, she did not wash her hands. I was highly disgusted by this. Although food, beverages, and service were great; in times of Covid-19, I can not excuse poor hygiene practices or return to this establishment.
I am here for carnival, I m sitting here 2nd meal today been here for an hour. A group of 5 came in to dine. I m sitting here by myself, apparently the group found that me talking on my phone was disturbing, complained to the waitress and she immediately came over and told me I was disturbing them. And they wanted to move my table. I said if they don t like it they can move their table the waitress (old African American lady) said NO they won t move their table. There s no difference between them talking amongst themselves at their table then me talking to someone and mine. 4 white 1 Asian. 3 women, 2 men. Very RACIAL treating HISPANICS AND BLACK LESS THAN THE WHITE PEOPLE. The fact that she actually argued this. They audacity that these ppl thought they were privileged enough to make someone move me. If they feel that privileged then they should ve shut down the restaurant for the night and had dinner by them selves I mean if the money and skin color is as right as they think it is! End result: I didn t move! As a colored woman she should know it s been a long time since we ve had to sit at the back of the bus and money is the same color.
Convenient location, decent food. Tall bald bartender with glasses is worth avoiding. He combats any questions, ignores guests he doesn t vibe with and has ruined many a night. I go elsewhere now when I see he s working.
Our dinner here was our best meal of our trip to St Thomas, and that s high praise considering some of the other amazing meals we had. The Caribbean Fish Market is Tucked away in the quiet and serene Elysian Beach Resort, with ample parking steps from the restaurant, we sat outside right off the beach and water, just a short drive from Red Hook. The food was absolutely delicious and was impeccably prepared, beautifully presented, and served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. I can t wait to return!
Given this place two tries because of the great reviews. First visit service was mediocre, food was not the right temp, and we both felt ill after, but wanted to chalk it up to too much time in the sun that day. Our second trip to the island 4years later we decided to give it a second chance. This time a party of four celebrating by sons birthday that week. SERVICE WAS TERRIBLY SLOW. Zero follow up. Had to ask for EVERYTHING. Had to get up and look for our server twice!!! Food was decent but for the price it should have been amazing and it was NOT!!! Took over 3 hours to get through our meal because we had to wait so long. My advice would be save your money for a different experience.
We wished we had ate at our hotel after eating the food here. Waiter was friendly, Hostess was stale/cold, and food was mediocre.
Wonderful view, food and service!
It was good. We enjoyed the food, the service, and the ambiance. No complaints.
Fine dinning on St. Thomas. Everything was excellent. The service supreme. Thanks Mr. Big Life! Perfect spot on the shore where you can dine on the patio or indoors when things are too breezy. Excellent selection of food and wine to satisfy your pallet.
The food was awesome and the employees were very professional.
Worth the trip to that end of the island .. near the Ritz... appetizers are HUGE.. skip the meals... order a few apps for the table... excellent wine list... sit outside and soak up the feel
Good food. Recommend an outdoor table.
This is a great spot for date night. My wife and I had a wonderful time at this restaurant and our servicer was the Ambassador, please ask for him because he was so great. Any modifications that we wanted to our meals he accommodated. The seating is open air with a nice ocean breeze and there were no issues with mosquitoes. The food is great but be prepared to pay for that great food because it is on the pricey side. This is just a heads up for my foodie family out there in the world. If you have checked out my profile I have rated seafood restaurants all over the Caribbean.
A night balanced with serenity and service. Cradled within the Elysian Beach Resort on the East End of St. Thomas, the Caribbean Fish Market provides more than its name suggests. Patrons can enjoy a variety of well-decked-out seafood in an ambiance that is serene and captivating. One can saturate in conversation amidst the distant chime of Caribbean music. Definitely no fish market level noise. Appetizer options like cauliflower Taos, and eggplant fries serve as great options for non-meat consumers. Seasoned to perfection- Caribbean stuffed lobster, sea bass, grouper or just a fancy lobster tail, they boast of the similar pungent and savory flare of local cooking. Caribbean Fish Market balances privacy with accessibility, serenity with freedom to chat, and presents everyday Caribbean cuisine with savor and the class of fine dining. Try it.
Fantastic food. Great service. Breathtaking ambiance. We went to St Thomas for our honeymoon and many of our taxi drivers recommended it. So happy we stopped in! The Caribbean lobster is a must!
Great service and food, one of the better restaurants on the island.
The food here is top notch! My family and I had several options from the snapper to the stuffed lobster, and the salmon. All I can say is WOW! The location is stunning! Beautifully decorated. The staff are so professional and friendly! This is a great spot for date night or special evening! You will NOT be disappointed!
This is the place to go when you have a craving for upscale seafood. The setting is fantastic and the food is always phenomenal. This place also has great brunch and happy hour specials. We always make a trip to CFM when we visit St. Thomas.
The stuffed lobster was good, but honestly not as good as they have the food priced. Not sure what everyone raves about here, as its very expensive..good location though, right on the beach, and the staff were friendly.
Excellent food
We visited this restaurant May 2023, First thing they asked if we have a reservation while the restaurant was empty with only 2 other table used. The Host proceeds to sit us in the back Not sure why. We ask for better view since it was empty. Host replied we might have people later. I Ordered Catch of the Day, Fish came in floating in soy Sause with strings of saggy carrots as vegetable side on top. Fish tasted like it was microwaved, very rubbery texture of the meat and saggy outside since its floating in liquid with absolutely none flavor besides soy Sause. I asked for sauce and they only had spicy sauce. they did Not list the price for Fish and it was my fault for not asking, I paid $80 for that unappetizing rubber fish + tip + taxes. Its a shame how they run this restaurant knowing most of people are tourist and will never be returning so they try to stick it with Horrible food and ridiculous prices. horrific combo. We had 10x better fish at Coki Beach for $35. This was probably once a really nice place but not anymore. BEWARE
Over priced resort food and weird service where the waiter introduced himself as the ambassador. Lobster was $60 per lb. Waffle ice cream sandwich dessert is a gimmick. Go with the key lime pie instead.
Horrible service. It took over an hour to get cocktails and appetizers. Even worse the manager did nothing to help the situation, no discounts, and sadly we had an auto 20% gratuity. We would not have left a penny for them. Our bill was $480, we left angry. This was the first day of our vacation. Would not recommend.
I have to say this was one of the best meals I have ever had. Everything was perfect, from the atmosphere, service, food and the view was incredible. I had the stuffed Caribbean Lobster and my husband had the prime rib which was delicious. For desert coconut cake and key Lime pie that melted in your mouth. They also have a red velvet bundt cake that my daughter loved and ordered multiple times. This was a perfect night in the Caribbean. Until next time St. Thomas. Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter said this was the best grilled cheese ever.
This is a high end restaurant. It is expensive and extremely tasty.
Food was bad the risotto was very undercook I ask for mashed potatoes and they charge me the service was horrible I wish the people will do the review truefully if not I will never been there
Arrived in St. Thomas and came for dinner the first night. Food was fantastic and our server, Sean, was so kind and took great care of us. We ordered a sampling of appetizers and then my son got the crab encrusted whole lobster. Wow!! We ate too much and were sad to miss the homemade desserts but will be back.
We were pretty much ignored by our waiter, while he doted on a party of six next to us. I was celebrating my birthday and we spent a couple of $$$ on our dinner. The other staff that interact with us, i.e. host and food servers, were wonderful. Our food server mention my birthday to the waiter and said there would be a surprise for me, but there was nothing. It seemed as though a single couple didnt matter as much as a larger group. So disappointed.
Sea Bass is out of this world!
If you get the chance, take it!
Excellent food and service in a beautiful setting.
Outstanding restaurant. My wife and I are staying at the Ritz Carlton next door. We went down to the on site Italian restaurant and we were told that there wasn t any table available but we could order take out. I decided that I want to have a nice sit down dinner with my wife so we came over to the Caribbean Fish Market. What a great choice. We started with the poke tune nachos and calimari. Both were excellent with a very slight sweet taste on the calamari that balances with the saltiness. My wife ordered the butter broiled lobster, and I ordered the catch of the day which was red snapper. Both were perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this restaurant. Especially if you are staying the Ritz and you don t want to deal with their lack of service.
Great food!! Well seasoned and the service was top notch. I went to Pangea, Easterly and now Caribbean Fish Market and hands down this was the best restaurant thus far. The Ambassador was our server on my first visit (he was AMAZING). We came back the next night and that server (not sure his name) was not as good. However, the manager took care of us and shes always there making sure things are proper. Awesome food again but we didnt care for the mussels. The recipe of spinach, bacon and mussels just wasnt appetizing to any of us at the table. Pictured shared is Chilean Sea Bass and Arugula watermelon salad. I took these pictures after tasting the food because it was worthy.
it was very tasty and expensive. the staff is amazing Food
The food was excellent
Food amazing. Service amazing. We were the last reservation of the night and the service was utmost professional-waiter was attentive, accommodating and everything was simply wonderful. We had the filet mignon, Wahoo, octopus, lamb chops, bisque so delish.
I had a very pleasant Sunday brunch. I ordered the Cubano eggs Benedict and enjoyed the meal. View is very beautiful and we stayed to enjoy the beach and pool bar after our meal. I would recommend.
Another great restaurant that we visited while down here. Would highly recommend it as the food was excellent. Ambiance was very nice and service was good a little slow at times but overall very professional and attentive. Vegetarian options: Definitely a place for vegetarians/ pescatarians Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access
Went for happy hour again. Wine are now $8. Still highly recommend.
The service was excellent. The menu had options for everyone. The food was great and I do mean great. The restaurant is on the water and it offers a very intimate dining and the view is breathtaking.
Brought my family birthday and anniversary celebration, table of 4 Bill $450 asked for a latin Manhattan then changed my mind for the drink before it was served to table. Changed to a classic margarita the restaurant proceeded to argue with my family over a $14.00 drink that was never served not wanting to take off the bill. Food was phenomenal
Cocktails were excellent and the lobster pretty darn good.
Amazing food, best fresh seafood, open air dining, friendly waitstaff! A must visit restaurant in St. Thomas,at Cowpet Bay.
The Caribbean stuffed lobster is amazing. Relaxed, but nice atmosphere.
Stopped in at the bar for Happy Hour specials. The Pear and Brie Flatbread tasted great, was a little charred. The Bang Bang Shrimp Eggrolls were also excellent.
Great happy hour at the bar!
Everything was perfect, as it always when we eat there.
Great lobster and steak. The stuffed lobster was delicious. Treat yourself to the waffle ice cream sandwich or the key lime pie. Yum yum yum Lovely atmosphere, right next to the beach, water was 50 feet away. Our waiter, named Ambassador, he was the best of the best. What a great and attentive guy. Ask for him by name. Highly recommended.
Great bar on the marina!! Absolutely great cheesesteaks!!! Did not expect to find that on St Thomas but so glad I did. Lots of tv s with sports on!! If you are nearby stop in and grab a cheesesteak just like you d get on Philly!!!!
We were seated for 20+ minutes without anyone noticing us or giving us even water. Food was overpriced, cauliflower undercooked, Wahoo pretty tasteless, you could only taste the sesame seeds. I would have given just 1-star if not for the nice waitress who eventually realized we had been waiting for too long and offered us at the end a complimentary dessert for the inconvenience. Still, plenty of other lower-key places with better price/quality ratio!
I had the main lobster and my husband had a spicy shrimp and vegetable curry dish. That was amazing. 10 out of 10. Service was excellent. Ambiance was excellent.$$$$
Great seaside restaurant. Went here for drinks after a day on the water. The spicy Paloma was amazing with the in-house jalapenos infused vodka
This is a nice place on the beach with good service and atmosphere for a good dinner.
The Chilean sea bass was excellent!
Beautiful place and nice atmosphere. Our server seemed to disappear at times. I got the grouper and it was great. My aunt got the Sesame, crusted wahoo, and it was very disappointing. It was very hard and tough and no seasoning. The noodles that came with were good though. Our server never came by one time and asked how her food was.We saw her when it was time to take our plates.
My husband and I enjoyed our dinning experience. Their staff provided professional service. Their menu options had special twists compared to ordinary seafood restaurants. We enjoyed every bite of their stuffed lobster and tamarin glazed calamari. Yum! Their drinks were superb. I definitely recommend dinning there.
On vaca for 2 weeks at the Elysian and had brunch the first Sunday. Food was fantastic and Mimos kept full. No reservation required. Service while not particularly friendly was spot on. The 2nd Sunday we went down for Brunch and was greated by the manager who asked if we had a reservation and we said no, didnt know we needed one. He seemed put out and had us seated. We ordered our breakfast and the bottomless Mimosa. Food was was excellent however the Mimosa was anything but bottomless. The waitress was super cute and up beat but service overall lackluster. The manager made his way around to various tables but never once stopped at ours. Apparently if no reservation no time for us. Although the food was good the service and arritudes not appealing. We waited over 30 minutes for the check and our drinks remained empty. I was very disappointed.
The finest grilled cheese Ive tasted so far.
Delicious place to have a nice dinner with friends or family. Beachside location with fresh seafood!
Good kitchen, very attractive surroundings. Its fundamentally al fresco, and casual. Our party of six had some miscommunication with ordering but overall a nice experience.
Most of the food actually isn t bad, but it s not good either, it s edible. Other than the clams casino dip, which isn t clams casino, It s the ingredients from clams casino put into a bowl not mixed or baked. Important to mention that their fresh catch never changes, is always on the menu, and one of the fish can t actually be caught in the Virgin Islands. The sign listing the fresh catch is so old the paint is chipping listing the not so fresh catch. What s really the worst about this place is the absolute lack of care, at all, for the patrons that are paying the bill. Our waitress could care less about her job. Automatic 20% gratuity so why care? My kids asked what sodas they had. Coke products., was the response two words. We had to ask to have the app plates taken, because again, she couldn t care. Now when your restaurant has such a bad mosquito problem that you have repellant at the hostess stand, one would think to clear away stale food plates as soon as practical. Nope, not until the entrees came and there was no room to put them down. Your silverware from appetizers? You re told to take them from your plates to reuse for your entrees so they don t have to bring you new ones. But there s no place to put them except on the wooden tables while your entrees are served. So food covered utensils are placed on a wood table to reuse, and now there s food residue on the wood table. Did I mention the mosquito problem? Will never be back. So many better options on the island. Beware of this place.
Great views and the food is good too!
Set right on the beach which is very nice. Food was ok. For a seafood place, the food wasn t as fresh as I was expecting. service was great though and drinks were good. Maybe an off night. Highly recommend making reservations.
Best Caribbean lobster I ve had in my life, the stuffing and sweetness of the fresh lobster had me cracking the legs for more. The service was great, the ambiance and music as well. My wife also had some mahi mahi that we both enjoyed. The cheesecake and creme brûlée were also both devine.
Caribbean Fish Market was worth the higher prices. The stuffed Lobster was amazing and my wife loved her Mahi. Both were delicious and came with potatoes and asparagus. The wine selection wasnt big, but we found a couple we liked. Get there before sunset to get the best beach views.
Delicious and beautiful
A delicious dinner! Chicken and Pork Chop dishes were divine! Ended with desserts of orange cheesecake and coconut cake which were scrumptious!
Absolutely the best food and excellent service.
We were visiting the island on our honeymoon/first anniversary we had Tara as our server and could not have been more pleased. Despite being busy due to multiple parties in the area, she went above and beyond checking in on us and even took some photos of us post dinner. We had the apple bacon stuffed pork chops and ice cream waffle sandwich for dessert. Absolutely would recommend!
My first time eating Caribbean Lobster & it was fantastic. This restaurant is a sister property to The Ritz-Carlton. The view was amazing (I ate on the covered patio) Dont hesitate to give this place a try.
My daughter 3rd Birthday we love this place. Beautiful excellent service Kid-friendliness: My daughter had pizza and the Birthday girl had grilled cheese with French fries Food : 5/5 |
Tried first time this year. Really good food as well as service, nice beach patio environment. We have on our list for next time
Very nice ambiance. Food was excellent
Went there for my birthday and sat in the bar for happy hour before our reservation. We ordered 4 of the 5 appetizers and they were all very good. Our dinners were delicious and the service was awesome. We had a great time. Vegetarian options: We had there cauliflower, spicy Brussel sprouts and there shoshito pepper appetizers. The Spicy Brussel sprouts were hands down everyones favorite. But three rest delicious as well.
Beautiful restaurant right on the beach. Great service and even better food. Easy parking.
Cookie cutter resort restaurant. Menu was unimaginative, the drinks and appetizer were bland and wine menu WAY overpriced. Bartender clearly did not want to be there either. The bar was full of people talking about golfing and drinking liquor straight out of the bottle.
The stuffed lobster was to die for! Apart from the food, The Ambassador was by far the best waiter I have ever had! I will be back!!!! Service and food was impeccable.
A restaurant nearby the Ritz Carlton. There is a complementary taxi service after 5pm to take visitors at the Ritz back and forth as the road is hilly. It is a short walk of 5-7 minutes with a short cut through out door stairs or hilly road. Mostly serves shellfishes. They are great. During our visit, it was short in staff so we had to wait a little longer. However, we had a great dinner time.
Best Food Ever!!!! #SeragularFood. Seafood + regular is the best mix ngl.
