Authentic Chongqing style noodle house
If you’re hungry, don’t go here. It took them 35min to prepare one order of soup for take out. I was seated there and waiting. Yet they served 2 more dine-in customers who came in and ordered after I placed my order. And when I complained, their answer was because those people were there for dine-in so they served them first. They delayed my order because it was take-out. It doesn’t matter whether I eat there or not, I ordered and paid first. Terrible customer service to address a complaint that way.
Came here on a Sunday around 1:30 PM. Ordered the A1. Soup was delicious; it was the perfect consistency with a thin layer of chilli oil on top for extra flavor. Fat from the minced beef tasted amazing when mixed in with the chilli oil that was already in the soup. Intestines had all the good taste of intestine with none of the bad taste. Braised beef was juicy with a very soft texture. Vegetables looked and tasted fresh. Egg was well-marinated. Peanuts and peas were a welcome garnish, added more dimensions to the dish. Noodles tasted good, although I would recommend getting them slightly firmer when going if you prefer a firmer texture. As far as I know, this is the only place in the Ottawa region that serves Chongqing style noodles. And they have done quite well to represent that cuisine. Very spicy option was sufficiently spicy as a guy who likes ethnic spicy food.
The noodles are really soft and have a springiness to them. Perfect. I had the pork and beans Noodle, you can ask for no spice or mild/med/hot. The portions are quite large in terms of amount of noodles. The soup had good taste. Everything was good, just wish that they gave more than 2 slices of bakchoi. There is room for a table of 4, and then there are like 3 or 4 tables for 2 along the side of the restaurant. They are located at the back end of an industrial area which is very strange. But the food is good. After tax and tip it cost me $20 which is a little high even for 2024. I do intend to go back to try another bowl of noodles.
I loved this restaurant!!! I will for sure be back the amount of food for the price is amazing!!! The noodles taste freshly made and the meat/veggie options are beautifully seasoned
Well priced and great tasting noodles, but a bit crowded. The noodles are excellent when it's hot, and they are by far tastier when you eat at the restaurant (I've ordered here with an app before) but the place is a quite cramped with 4 2-seat tables and 1 4-seat tables. And occasionally the wait time is a bit long as they seam to prioritize call in and app orders over once in restaurant. But for all the things I dislike, eating the fresh noodles when they come to your table is fantastic!??
Tasty favourful Chongqing noodles - soup or dry!! If you’re looking for an off the beaten path Chinese noodle house then this is your place! Flavourful, spicy, pungent and very filling. Best choice is the Noodle Soup with beef, pork intestines, ground pork & yellow peas. Chongqing cuisine is a branch of Sichuan Cuisine (one of eight Chinese Cuisines) featuring pungent and spicy flavours as a result of liberal use of garlic, chili peppers, Sichuan peppercorn, beans, mustard and sesame paste. I couldn't make up my mind about eating dry noodles or noodles with soup, so I ordered both! We enjoyed both dishes a lot. The broth of the beef noodle was packed with flavours. I ordered medium spicy and I think it was a bit too much for me, so I will order a mild one next time. The dry noodle dish was also packed with lots of flavours! Will definitely visit again soon. The restaurant is a bit tiny, but not an issue for me as I was just ordering takeouts. Might be too cramped to dine in.
Dined in because we wanted it fresh steaming hot. Very small place only few places to sit and eat. Ordered szechuan wonton soup, Dan Dan Noodles, and braised beef noodles. It's spicy but delicious I think I still have dreams about the Dan Dan Noodles, will definitely go again. Will try to take out to see if it's the same quality. It is definitely a hidden gem and glad I stumbled across it.
It looks like a sketchy restaurant, but everything tastes so great!! I recommend dan dan mien
The Sichuan chili oil at this restaurant is particularly authentic, especially the extra-spicy chili oil!
Amazing whole in the wall for some great noodles! If you re ever just craving a bowl of spicy beef noodles then this is the place for you.
Fat intestine noodles are delicious! n
We had the braised beef noodle soup and Dan Dan noodles with minced beef. The quantity and taste were good but the only reason I am not giving a 5 star is that both dishes were a bit salty to my taste. But its a must try, a small cozy authentic spot.
A portion of peppercorn chicken costs 20 yuan after tax, which is a small plate as small as an appetizer and a few pieces of chicken. The taste is hard to describe, and has basically nothing to do with peppercorn chicken. The pickled pepper chicken noodle basically doesnt have the hot and sour taste of pickled pepper, and the soup is just like plain water. The spicy noodles are not bad. The store is very small, not suitable for sitting down to eat, and the environment is poor. There wasnt even water after I sat down. Looking at the environment, I m too lazy to ask for one. After half an hour of eating, leave quickly and won t come back again.
Exactly what we were looking for!
AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!! There s no peas or ground pork in there s only peanut totally a scam, nothing like the authentic or anywhere close to what they advertised in the photos. Food : 1/5
Food is very good here ... Good place to try
The price is not cheap, but its okay. Just went at 6pm and there were no cold dishes.
Nothing to rave about. Walked in, no greeting. Staff was more interested in talking to one another. Sat ourselves to a table to find out it was not cleaned. Menu was confusing. Items that were available in one menu but was not available on another menu provided. Menus were different from one another. Never asked if we wanted drinks. Had to ask but only gave us 1 half glass of water to share between the two. We gave up and went and got a second water ourselves. If it was self serve they did not mention it. Food was OK, nothing special. We ordered two mild noodle soups. It was so so. Noodles were chewy and ok. Way to much chili oil in one noodle soup. Was lacking flavour other than only tasting chili oil and salt. We find there are more noodles than toppings. Not many options left on the menu because a lot were scratched out or just not available after ordering. Dont think we will go there again.
Great experience
The noodles are very chewy, the ingredients are delicious, and the meat is tender. One of my first choice restaurants
Authentic South Chinese noodle, yummmm
Ottawa Dining Hall
The signature noodles is great, highly recommended
There is nothing to say about the taste. I ordered the beancurd noodles and they were fragrant but not spicy. The price is not cheap but acceptable. In terms of service, there was only an aunt and a young man in the store, so it was a bit overwhelming when it was busy... I had to wait for 10 minutes to place an order I also asked for a small bowl, which was very dirty and seemed to have not been washed... I may need to pay attention to hygiene.
Absolutely amazing. Fair warning, the restaurant is take-out mostly with 12 seats for those wanting to dine in or wait for their takeout order and parking is shared with the other residents of the industrial park. With that being said, Holy Honolulu! The food was absolutely amazing! We had the braised beef with noodle soup, the DanDan noodles with ground pork, and the Dumplings with sweet soya sauce. Each dish was perfect. The dumplings were big, juicy, and took on the sauce flavours perfectly. Our server/The owner asked us both what heat level we wanted and we went with the medium and mild. The braised beef was fall apart delicious and along with the noodles soaking in its deep red oily, spicy, peppery, soup. So good! This was the first time my dining partner ever had DanDan noodles and their description was:Pure comfort food, perfect mouth feel, rich flavour and not too spicy & perfect spice level,(they asked for medium heat and were not disappointed). I did not get offered a spoon, but they were right behind me on the counter, and I would not call that a major detractor considering how delicious the food was, and to be completely honest, if I had any room left to eat more. I would have held the bowl with two hand and drank it down with greedy gusto. There are a lot of items I would say aren t on your typical Ottawa menu, Braised pork intestines with soup, and Pickled peppers with chicken giblets & noodles soup, but I am eager to return to sample both of them and the other items the menu has to offer. Great meal. Highly recommended.
This is my favorite noodle restaurant in Ottawa! The soup and noodles are delicious, and the chili sesame sauce is super fragrant! The cold dishes are also excellent.
Really nice discovery! A must go!
The food was so good and was one of the best noodle soups I ve ever had!! The service is really nice. There was a lady there talking to us while we ate which was awesome. Overall I really like this place and would love to come here again!!
This place is phenomenal! Their dan dan is unmatched, I have only been here once at the beginning of the year but I still think about their noodles all the time Vegetarian options: lots of veggie options Parking: lots of spots, not busy Kid-friendliness: kids could eat here Wheelchair accessibility: on ground level
Thank you for having us!
Not impressed. Came in with expectations as the reviews are good and pictures look legit. Not to mention the mediocre portion. As someone originally comes from the Sichuan region, their noodles are not to what I have had back home. The bean noodle was very disappointing, despite right beans the noodle tastes full of sesame sauce.
my friend treat me it. the cold dish tastes good even hope the portion can be bigger. the noodle CAME in huge portion and taste good
Very good soup. Amazing tasting noodles and broth. Medium was just right for spicy. They can always make it spicer. Small dining area but warm and cosy. Parking: East side of building about half way to the back.
Delicious food. Even better service. Owner that cares about quality.
This is definitely the best noodle shop in Ottawa!
Great little spot. Largely for take out but two small tables. This is not your standard Canadian Chinese fair. Lots of szecheuan pepper and spice. The Dan Dan and beef noodle soup are both insanely good.
This place has been a staple lunch spot for me for several years now. Always delicious and friendly service. I try to go once a week and always look forward to it.
Super authentic and nice owners. Its a bit far but they told me they were moving to merivale soon so hopefully its also a bigger location! Will be back
Weve ordered from here many times and the food has been consistently excellent. Warning: the mild spicy dishes still have quite a kick to them. Dont eat here if you dont like spicy food.
Small menu wonderful taste
It s so delicious too! Sweep them all!
The owner was very very rude and arrogant. The cold dish did not worth the price.(16$)
Best authentic noodle in down. The perfect definition of hidden gem . If you enjoy noodles and spicy food, you don t wanna miss this!
I ordered a family portrait of small noodles, and it was written that there were large intestine, beef and peas, but it turned out that there was only beef and large intestine...a countercurrent of sadness.
Ordered one mild and one medium braised beef noodles and the thick sesame noodle appetizer. The braised beef noodles wouldve been 5 star if they gave a decent amount of meat and chinese veggies. The braised beef was so tender and delicious, I wish there was more 4 bites. The broth was really good although the mild and medium tasted the same. The noodles were also very nicely cooked with nice texture. There was just so little meat and veggies that I was left with a huge bowl of noodles after 4 or 5 bites. Sesame noodle appetizer was very bland, chewy, and starchy ate one bite and didnt eat anymore. Would definitely order it again if they gave a better portion of meat and veggies in the soup noodles, these are cheap ingredients so there is no need to be stingy with them when its 17$ a bowl.
Had take out. I need to go back in to try it fresh and hot. The braised beef noodles are very flavorful. The hot and sour noodles soup was good. It just needs to be a little hotter in temperature, but it was take-out, so it was okay. The chicken leg with hot suace is also pretty good. Lost 1 star for take-out packaging as the oil all spilled out.
Food was amazing.Good portion with brased beef...lots of noodles and great taste.
I have ordered from this place 3 times now and I can confidently say that it is the best, most authentic Chinese noodle place in Ottawa. Fresh ingredients, super friendly service, reasonable price. A lot of things are made from scratch and I can tell the lady takes pride in her food. Re: Fresh ingredients When I went in August, the lady told me she had made a fresh batch of (biandou menmian - braised noodles with flat beans) from the beans she had just harvested from her patch of community garden behind the building! This was the first time I encountered a farm-to-table Chinese takeout and farm-to-table that s not $$$$ in North America. It was delicious and I almost cried because it was so fresh and so homey. Meat was tender and well-braised too. This item is not on the English menu but I highly recommend it (show the lady this review and point to the characters above). The next time I ordered, it wasn t fresh off the plant anymore but it was still delicious. Re: Taking pride in her food Today she didn t want to give me (doufunao - literally tofu brains lol but means super silky tofu pudding) because she made it yesterday. It s not super fresh, she said. I was like it s just one day, it s OK, give it to me. They don t always have it so I had to seize the opportunity. I crave it all the time and can t find it in Ottawa. It was so good. She also makes (liangfen - mung bean curds) from scratch, which is kind of amazing, because it takes hours. Today was my lucky day because she had just made a fresh batch. It was so good. Usually you have to pre-order. If you want the latest menu, download WeChat and ask them for the QR code. They used to have one table for dining in but since the pandemic, it s just a window; takeout and delivery only. 10/10 would highly recommend this takeout place to everyone.
I placed an order for Szechuan wonton soup, Dan Dan Noodles, and braised beef noodles, and let me tell you, they were spicy but absolutely delicious! Each dish was packed with bold flavors that left my taste buds tingling. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but dont let that deter you. The cozy atmosphere adds to the overall dining experience.
My lips are buzzing. This place is so wonderful ~ Also fyi, that they do have vegetarian options and the one i had was delicious. Vegetarian options: Hot noodles. Unfortunately no cold noodle options, but i bet if i was less shy and simply asked, they would have made me a variation without meat. (Note: im not a hardcore vegetarian. If meat byproduct ends up in my food, im not a fan, but I wont be upset.)
We ordered the braised beef noodle soup and a variety of small plates. The food was excellent and the owner is very friendly and generous. Will definitely be coming back again soon!
Flavor is not bad.
The food is delicious and the boss is very nice. But twice it said it was open but it was closed. I knocked on the door and asked what was going on. The guy with long hair asked me impatiently what I was doing. You say its open but not working. Is it my problem? If you cant work in the service industry, then go home and become a prince. Are you here to scold me? I would have scolded this thing if I didnt want to give my aunt face.
We called to pick it up and have eaten here many times. It tastes really good. But the service is also very bad, very lame. We had some hot and sour noodles, but when we got home, we found that we were not given soup... How can we eat without soup? Then I called the store and explained the situation. The male waiter asked me, What do you want to do? excuse me?? Shouldnt it be you who provides me with the solution? In the end, the boss said they would refund my money for the hot and sour noodles, but they never said a word of apology from beginning to end. Is it because everyone says it s delicious here and they don t pay attention to customer service at all? And every time I came here before, the male waiter with long hair would always be rude.
Sweet water is delicious
My first time there today, and I was very pleasantly surprised! For a little restaurant in an industrial sector of the city, the quality of food and service was beyond what I could have expected!!! I will definitely be going again and recommending to everyone that I can! Keep up the amazing work!
Excellent food, the soup was not as hot as desired but it was tasty. The mouthwatering chicken is highly recommended, very flavourful.
Very authentic Chongqing beef noodles, the chili pepper is also very strong, it makes you sweat profusely
Tiny authentic Chinese noodle place in an industrial park. They only have about five tables and the interior is nothing special, but the food is great. They have noodle dishes from different parts of China, including beef noodle soup and Dan Dan noodles among others. Prices are fair. Menu is in both English and Chinese.
Flavor is good but you need to order way way ahead. Every time I need to wait for at least half an hour regardless takeout or dine in. Sometimes even more than that. Today I waited for almost 45 mins. Get prepared for a long wait.
Amazing broth and delicious, tender meats
A hidden gem with limited seating that serves some of Ottawas better authentic Chinese food, focusing on (but not limited to) Szechuan noodle dishes. The chicken gizzard noodle soup is one of my favourites from here.
Ordered over $100 worth of food.. took nearly 2hrs to get delivered to only be disappointed. Ordered 6 main dishes and an app... the food had taste but tasteless at the same time, so hard to explain.. its like they threw in random spices for fun.. we ended up ordering a 2nd dinner... threw it all out. Very very disappointing...
This is by far the best Chinese noodles Ive had in Ottawa. The flavor cannot be beat. The chili oil is so unique and rich and the soup broth on its own is unmatched. You can tell the quality of the broth is true because when its refrigerated it turns to jelly - that means its been made from cooking the bones of the chicken/beef instead of a cheap substitute. The owner is super proud of her flavor - and very friendly to chat. I always enjoy my meal here and of course the take out is always good - you just need to make sure you heat it up properly when you get home!
Flavourful food, great service.
Recommended by a friend. The first time I saw the lady boss, she was very aggressive and didnt dare to speak. Later, I found that the lady boss was actually very talkative. She asked us how we tasted and took the initiative to chat with us. I cant say enough about the authentic pasta. I will come here again.
Canada s No. 1 Noodles Beats Toronto & Montreal
Stumbled upon this restaurant on accident. Really happy I tried it, best noodles I ve had in Ottawa. Great flavor, portion sizes are good, and value is fair. I was really happy with the friendly service I received at the door too. I would recommend it, and will likely have take out from here again :)
I enjoyed this Braised Beef Noodle soup very much. The very friendly owner made it without hot spices for me which was perfect and did not affect the flavour of the delicious broth. I will definitely try other dishes on the menu.
Spicy tasty braised beef noodle in a cold February day in Ottawa, definitely will order again! Thanks to the friendly owner of the restaurant.
Everything is delicious
Best sichuan noodle in Ottawa! My familys favorite noodle restaurant and we have been regular customers for years! Various favors available for my family in different ages. Love their side dishes! Food is tasty and service is excellent!
Tiniest portion
Everything was amazingly delicious, my two daughters enjoyed the food so much and my 8 yr old asked us to take her again.
We found this great little noodle house on Colonnade road and our meal was excellent. Unique type of noodles, Nice flavours, great service (we were greeted by the owner who was very nice and knowledgable) and good prices. Will come again.
Lovely small hole in the wall noodle house! What a nice find! Ordered the dan dan noodles and beef noodles with broth. Both tasted delicious!!! You can customize the spice level as well. The dan dan noodles were my favorite! As every bite had a mix of noodle, ground pork, spice and toppings (i.e. peanuts, etc) The beef noodles broth was also tasty and fresh. Loved the taste of the broth. They have dine in as well (its a small place so only 2 tables) Looking forward to trying other items on their menu.
Highly recommended place. Authentic Chinese food. It is the owners hobby and she loves doing what she does. The green wonton leaves your tongue numb and is made with the owners harvested green chile sauce.
Good restaurant and noodles at reasonable prices. Friendly and attentive staff.
The taste is very authentic, especially the Wuhan hot dry noodles and preserved egg tofu are recommended! ! !
As a native Chongqinese, I have to say this place offers the MOST authentic Chongqings flavours in Ottawa. We truly enjoyed our meals!
Smelled fragrant and looked amazing but the flavours were lacking. The broth was only salty and spicy, but nothing more to it. Braised Beef with Noodle Soup - 6/10. Beef was dry and had no flavor other than salt. Braised Pork Intestines with Noodle Soup - 7.5/10. The intestines tasted braised. Beef, Pork Intestines & Ground Pork & Yellow Pea Three Kinds of Combination with Noodle Soup or ( , & ) - 6/10, no significant flavour. Only intestines had more flavour. Super Thick Handmade Noodle with Sweet Soy Sauce & Sesame Paste - 15/10!!! Sweet, nutty, savory! A MUST TRY.
Hit and miss with the food we ordered. The best was definitely the thick handmade noodles with spicy and sesame sauce ( ). The broth noodles were just ok. Liked the variety but the broth lacked beefy flavour.
Spicy goodness
Dan Dan noodles, medium spice, with all the toppings. Highly recommended. Friendly owners and staff.
Wow! We just randomly found this restaurant as we were looking for something close to Merivale. Great find!!! The food was delicious. I usually prefer dry noodles and my wife usually gets soups, but this time she tried Dan Dan noodles I got beef noodle soup I tried the Dan Dan noodles (my wife looked at me and said Delicious!! So I tried some and she let me eat a few bites (I didnt want to put it down). But then I started on my beef noodle soup. Delicious too, the soup broth was so flavourful. The owner started chatting with us. She is very friendly and puts a lot of love onto her cooking. She grows some of her own ingredients. I think it is her passion. Definitely will be back!!!!
Really enjoy the noodle there, the boss definitely knows how to make delicious and how to treat clients who enjoy the food. Love this place, definitely will be there again!
Wasted $20 on an Uber to discover they are closed until the 20th of August...
Authentic taste and ample portions. ----Two people from Chengdu left a message.
Awesome little hole in the wall, super friendly owners. Great flavors
Hands down the best, freshest, most delicious hand made soup place in the city. You can tell that it s made with love, I ve never been disappointed, it s always totally delicious and satisfying.
A shop opened by an aunt in Chongqing, the taste is good, Bashi
Great noodles, friendly service :) I did not find the spicy level spicy, I will need to ask for double or triple spicy next time :)
Absolutely delish, authentic food. Probably the only authentic Szechuan restaurant in Ottawa. Be prepared, if you order it spicy, they bring the heat
A co-worker told me about this noodle house and I had to try it. With only space for 6-8 people to sit down, it filled up immediately right after I arrived when they opened at 11:30am. I had the x-spicy Braised Beef with Noodle Soup and Wonton Soup as a side order. I enjoyed it so much I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles with Ground Pork for takeout for dinner. I will be visiting again as I want to try every item on their menu. They have from no heat to extra spicy so make sure you tell them what you want. Delicious! Parking: Lots of parking available when I arrived at 11:30 am on a Friday.
Super salty, other than salt no other flavours and is literally a hole in the wall. Don t dine in, very unappetizing
I got the braised beef at the chef/owners recommendation and it did not disappoint AT ALL. I have rarely eaten such well-marinated and tender meat, that melts in your mouth. Treat for the taste buds!! The dan-dan noodles is also another really good option. A small establishment with limited seating but the owner is very friendly and service is great :)
Their soup noodle #4 is amazing. Medium spicy.
Super authentic and tasty. Highly recommend!
DELICIOUS
I received excellent service, and had a nice chat with the owner about where she is from in China. Great flavour. I chose the medium spicy and it had a nice kick. Never had noodles like this anywhere else in Ottawa. Highly recommended.
The owner and staff is warm, welcoming, and the food is readied in timely manner. Noodle soup is delicious, filling, and certainly a value pick.
Very nice staff! Food was delicious and fresh. Noodles were very good quality. I will have to come back for more before I change my rating to 5 stsr
Excellent flavourful noodles! Will definitely go back to try other dishes! Not sure of anywhere else in Ottawa that serves authentic tasty noodles like this!
Authentic, fresh
Ordered the Braised Beef Noodle soup, Medium spice, by far the most flavourful and delicious noodle dishes I ve ever had. The spice was perfect, the beef melted in my mouth, the noodles were tasty. 10/10 would recommend!
The taste is very good and very domestic. I hope Uber can add the option of adding beef and noodles. The portion is not enough.
Home fare (Jia cai) in the true Chinese fashion. Simple, tasty and good value for money. Somewhat on the salty side.
Absolutely delicious noodles and probably one of the few shops in Ottawa that serve authentic Chinese noodles. The soup offers an explosion of flavor and the noodles were just perfect. The shop is smaller than what you would expect but the quality is higher than most restaurants in Ottawa. Definitely give them a try and you wont be disappointed!
The boss is very nice. If you don t know how to order, you can ask the boss. I think this is the best noodle shop in Ottawa.
Delicious and authentic! Wow!
I had the spicy beef soup, it was very spicy and I was warned, but thats how I like it! Absolutely delicious. This is a true, authentic, Chinese noodle house. A really great find, dont let the humble storefront fool you.
This hidden gem is legit. They make a proper Dan Dan Noodle thats one of the best in the city. Be sure to eat the noodles while they are hot and fresh. The front lady is nice and friendly too, ask her up for ordering advice and she wont steer you wrong.
Ordered the Dandan noodles medium spice. First time having that dish so I dont really have a reference but it was very tasty.
Always craving their noodles once a month. Better to get noodles and soup separate if picking up because the noodles do soak up the liquid rather quickly and I only live a 5 min drive away!
Some of the best noodles Ive had in all of Ottawa. The flavours are perfect to go along with great prices and super friendly service. Its not an easy place to find but we will definitely be back soon!
What a great spot! Really delicious authentic dishes made by a very talented chef. Try this place, you won t regret it. I ve been back twice since my first review, and it keeps getting better! This place is really special.
Spicy. Delicious. Portion sizes are great, food quality is top-notch. That chili oil is the essence of the food, hopefully anyone going here can handle spicy food. 8 dishes + 1 bonus dish. Pig Ears, Beef shank, Wonton, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, DanDan Noodles, Ground pork with Preserved vegetables, Braised Pork intestines, Fried rice cake with brown syrup (A must-have after the meal), and Bonus (Not on the menu). Best enjoyed with some company, but even alone, it can be a thrilling experience, depends on what cravings you have. I came here with 2 complete strangers and one familiar stranger. (Thomas, James P, and Kimberly). We split the appetizers and desserts, paid for our mains and the average bill was $22-24. Were we stuffed? Absolutely. Ive been here about 6 times so far and will continue to return.
Very good. Had the braised beef soup and pork/bean noodle (without soup). Staff was very friendly and helped us pick out the dishes as it was our first time here. Will definitely be returning.
Such a great and authentic flavour! Made me feels like back home. Lovely place and very friendly staff. Awesome experience.
The noodles were really good, even though it tasted different from the last time, the only thing is I paid 8.99 for a cold dish, and this is the portion for it.
Great spicy noodles but on the pricy side for noodles
Delicious and refreshing
As soon as I came to pay for my bill, the owner said fiercely get away from me. I was not even close to her. With the concern of Covid-19, I had proper protection with a mask on. I was expecting to enjoy the food, but the service just ruined my mood:(
For those who like malatang, this restaurant is a place where the recipe was taught to me by the owner of a successful noodle restaurant in Sichuan, China. As for the taste, I am from Sacheon and say it tastes just like the tradition. I also ate noodles with intestines while laughing.
Best noodles in town. Highly recommend the Thick Handmade Noodles with Sweet soy and Sesame paste.
Sichuan Yibin burning noodles are very delicious!
I used come to this noodle restaurant every Friday after school. Very delicious!
Authentic Sichuan(Szechuan/Chongqing) noodles and side dishes. Delicious, great for a quick lunch or supper.
Very tasty place for Chongqing style noodles. Limited seating, but everything can be taken out or ordered for delivery. Good, rich flavors. I like the braised beef noodle and the dan dan noodle.
Best noodle place. I love the bouncy texture and the flavourful broth. The dry noodles are also tasty.
A generous portion of good stuff in a bowl: smooth noodles, chunky meat, fresh greens and a flavourful soup base that leaves you with a tingling sensation in your mouth and a longing need to go back for more.
Modest Chinese place. Cheap. Very tasty noodles, Chongching style. I love the place.
This is a new place tucked away in a quiet corner off Colonnade Road in an industrial area. The food is authentic ChongQing styled noodles. Mainly serves take out, but had seating enough for 6-8 people. Their menu changes daily, as they make noodles based on what available ingredients they are able to procure for that day/week; which can be refreshing. Highly recommended.
Had a delicious beef noodle soup. Very friendly service. Will definitly go again.
dilicious food here
Amazing! come here at Least once a week.
Small place, limited hours but great food
Fantastic, fast service and delicious food. Will absolutely go back.
Delcious! Fresh noodles, bone marrow broth
Tastes exactly like youre in China. Fast, fresh, best chili oil in town. Filling portions and each dish has great flavour and texture. You can tell the owner takes great pride in her food - ask her what she recommends.
Had the braised beef and it was delicious! Will definitely be going back.
Fantastic place, the owner is really friendly. Extremely suggested.
Super tasty and charming staff. Spicy, but worth it!
Small restaurant with an excellent spicy Szechuan noodle menu. They also took the time to make sticky rice with brown sugar desert which was great. Definitely going to buy from them again.
This is the best Chinese noodle restaurant in Ottawa. Truly authentic Sichuan style. The grounded beef with mashed peas noodle is the one I always go for, OMG, it s good! And so is all sorts of appetizers. You can tell the owners intension from the ingredients to the taste to the portion...highly recommended for people who enjoy some spicy.
Great taste!
Authentic Sichuan noddle.
Best place for noodles in Ottawa... and I tried a few
IF YOU LOVE SPEICY FOOD! This is about the best noodle shop in Ottawa! I freaked out when I had my first bit! I was so surprised that this is in Ottawa, I don t even think GTA has such an authentic flavour! Also! They have Century egg, try it!
Excellent traditional Chinese cuisine!
Spicy noodles that are actually spicy.
