Manager extremely vocally abusive towards clients. My family, friends and I used to go all the time but we are never going there ever again and I will not recommend to anyone.

Had a burger tonight from world burger and didn t realize it included hair . I called to complain and let them know.how important it is for hair nets . California Burger

First visit to this place.A bit difficult to locate because of location at end of a strip mall. Also a sign for Greek food at same location. I had a cheese burger with usual trimmings and my friend had a deluxe burger. Both burgers were beyond our expectations and would definitely return.

The staff is VERY RUDE to begin with. The place is dirty, and haphazard. The food is average and not worth the price. Again, the front stuff is VERY rude. My friend went in to collect MY food, they assumed that he s an Uber delivery person and demanded that he bring a delivery bag if he wants to pick up the food. Not once did they ask him, just their assumptions. Very racist, made us so uncomfortable. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

I opened up Google Maps and its told me Ive eaten here 33 times( ). I stop by at least once every 2 weeks, the food here is delicious, service is good, and they take gluten allergies seriously. Ive never been burnt by this place. I ubered directly to here after traveling for 20hrs with little to no food this past winter. As someone with celiac disease I have to be extremely careful with where I eat, and this restaurant has amazing gluten-free buns. Ive recently been informed that almost everything on the Happy Greek menu is also gluten free, so Im looking forward to trying that. Although I cant have all of the burger menu, by far my favourites are the Ottawa Burger and the Venice Burger. I often switch between the two! Looking forward to many more delicious, gluten-free meals!

It is a sad, gray building with sad, gray people inside. The burgers are more generic than McDonalds, and the prices are insane. $40 for two burgers, some fries, and drinks. Do not waste your money on this place. Its not worth it.

The portions have really shrunken while the prices have not. You never know what to expect. Will your smoked meat poutine have enough gravy or cheese or ANY meat? Will your burger be made how you ordered it or just be slapped together with the onions you specifically did NOT want? Food

The food here is incredible and the premise, burgers inspired by world cuisines, is well chosen and well executed. The hybrid service model of ordering and paying at the counter (like a fast-food restaurant) but receiving food brought to ones table by a server (like a more typical restaurant) is hard to predict and makes it difficult to decide how much to tip, especially since payment is in advance.

Too much sauce. It made the bun soggy. Chicken was over cooked as were the onion rings. I liked the flavor of the pineapple and chicken but it was so soggy I had to take it apart and just eat the chicken and pineapple separately. We only ate one onion ring because they were too hard/ crunchy giving them a bitter taste. Also, neatly $70 for two burgers with sides is crazy talk for take out given we couldnt eat a lot of it. No beverages

The fries in the poutine were old and cold. (Happened twice in the last month) The burger bun was so cold too, unpleasant when biting into an otherwise good burger. The seating is comfortable.

Hands down the best burgers that we have ever had! My husband and I usually get the World Burger and customize it to our preferred toppings. Highly recommend trying a Panko-crusted burger too. We have tried the poutine (a couple types) and while they are good, we don t bother getting sides anymore. We would much rather have more room for the amazing burgers. Every time we are in Ottawa and need a meal, we make it a priority to get to World Burger.

World Burger has become our favourite burger joint in the whole city. I ve had equally as good, but the consistency with WB is second to none. My only suggestion would be to add sliced pineapples to the Maui burger since the little pieces used are not enough. Overall the price, the quality, flavour, selections are all fantastic.

So many delicious burgers here. The New Orleans is one of my favs... pulled pork and an onion ring on a fat patty whats not too like. And of course the World Burger is loaded with two patties if you are looking for a belly buster.

Omg the burgers, Im slowly going around the world of this menu, and its quite the tastes and experience. Favorites are ottawa and calgary I do wish the benchs didnt move as much when others sit down.

Not going to lie this place is by far better than the works for a way better price. They have speciality Burgs but not as many as The Works so it makes QUALITY CONTROL AMAZING. The boys and girls know how to make your burg so it doesnt fall apart. Ive had them everyday so far working right near them totally Worth. Oh and I only have a 30 min break and the boys whip it up fast for me everyday

This place is easily worth more than the 2-star review Im giving. Let me explain. The gentleman who originally greeted us was friendly and helpful. He guided us through the menu and options after we told him this was our first time. Unfortunately, when our number was called our customer experience came to a screeching halt. We got to the counter only to have her raise her voice that she had called us twice before (which we couldnt hear, as we were seated underneath a speaker where the house music comes out of). She was clearly annoyed with us and made some kind exchange accordingly. This was unfortunate, as we just purchased a large business next to the building and employ over 100 people ourselves, and would never allow our staff to treat customers in this manner. I feel like this would be a teaching/training moment for management. However, we will be sharing our experience with our employees and customers in the area. I hope others have a better experience than we did.

Pretty good burgers and fantastic thick cut fries and crispy rings. Lots of different topping combinations styled after different parts of the world. Burger quality is top teir fast food burgers as opposed to the dine in restaurant or diner burgers style. This means a really great balance between flavor, quality, and cost, making it well worth a try. May be your new favorite Vegetarian options: You can swap the meat patty with a vegetarian patty on all burgers. If you are in the merriavale area, its a good burger place. Prices are on the higher side. However, everything is fresh. You wait about 5 minutes for a burger, but they do a great job. I got the California burger, and it was delicious. The fries are pretty generic, but you get enough of them. I would take the burger and go as the decore is all one color. World burger is a nice treat but not a daily, in my opinion.

I paid 10$ for a poutine and got a side of fries with a spoonful of cheese, gravy, and toppings. There was so little gravy that I had to add ketchup to it. I haven t had a poutine this dry in a long time. It did not feel like a poutine to me. Half the fries didn t even get a drop of gravy it was pathetic. I don t recommend it to anybody.

The burgers and fries here are straight fire! They have the BEST lunch special (from 11-3). $12 for a fresh burger, crispy fries and a drink. You gotta try their gravy too. Its better than most poutine restaurants (its rich and flavourful, not just a brown sauce). This place also specializes in being gluten free. Theyve tested a number of gluten free breads and the have settled for the best. This is a must try place for burgers & fries (and gravy). Dietary restrictions: Gluten and Celiac Disease Friendly. Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu for those who prefer chicken nuggets instead of burgers.

Fries are good burgers not so much. Both of our burgers came ice cold despite being the only customers in the restaurant. Service is good but will not come back. Expensive for what you get.

The burger is great taste good and good size but the poutine taste great but no toppings as I took Montreal and there was maybe one slice of smoked meat gravy really salty fries not fully cooked and the drinks are about half the size of a regular drink anywhere else you would go for a meal of $22 I m disappointed size wise but again the hamburger is amazing

Loved the actual food! The atmosphere is pretty stark and feels like an old Harveys. Gluten-free burgers and fries are celiac safe if you talk to staff (separate fryer). Counter staff hates their lives. Got take-out on slightly off peak hours. 25 min till burger time. Loved the old school ketchup cups you pump yourself. All in all, the place didnt do much for me, but the burgers themselves were awesome! Would order takeout again from here. $$$ spent $60+ on 2.5 orders. I love World Burger but ordering online for delivery was basically impossible. I was really looking forward to a burger tonight but its not happening. I cant add specific instructions because it says This store has chosen not to accept special requests. I really wanted to have dipping sauce fory fries but they arent on the menu so yet another disappointment. Im not sure how people order food these days. It also costs so much more than to order at the restaurant. They have a meal deal at the restaurant but not when ordering for delivery. Not everyone has a car to go order in themselves. Im so disappointed. I tried calling the restaurant and the guy couldnt help me with my order or where or how I could find the dipping sauce on the menu. Could he not have asked the manager? Im in tears because I just wanted a burger for dinner. Ill never bother to order anything again. Its always far too much trouble.

They are often out of drinks and instead of refunding that part of the order they just send you diet or another drink. Its happened to me over 5 times now and I wont be ordering from here for much longer if it happens again. It happened again and I will no longer be ordering from this location. When I called to ask why they were sending random drinks they said they contacted me through Uber then when I confronted them about having the app open the entire time and never being contacted they switched to we were having trouble contacting through the app. I asked why theyre lying because theyve done the same thing at least 6 times and I got an excuse me as if I said something offensive and started getting attitude so I told the lying guy on the phone to f off. You want to have an attitude with me over your error youve made multiple times and then tried to lie to me about then you lose a daily customer. Ive been nothing but nice when speaking to them up to today but this guys attitude and lying were the last straw. I hope the owner knows whatever cook or cashier that answered the phone around 6:45pm on Thursday just lost them $400 or more a month with his trash attitude and customer service. Imagine ordering something on amazon and the seller runs out so they just decide to send you something completely different, hilarious they think its acceptable.

Weve been going to WB for many years, consistently the best burgers in town. The fries are excellent as well. The variety you can get is in another league compared to most fast food or even other burger specialty places. I actually prefer WB to FiveGuys etc. Personal favorite is the Maui, I highly highly recommend.

Tonight we went to get burgers, and are never disappointed when we go here! I asked for a recommendation on what to get my hubby and was directed to the Calgary burger! Lets just say I have a very happy hubby that had a very meaty burger! I got the Sydney burger with maple mayo, and was out if this world! We didnt opt for combos but just got an onion rings on the side. The staff tonight were on point friendly and knew how to direct me in the right direction. Thank you for another successful dinner! I wish i took oictures but it was gone so fast, there is no evidence!

Amazing burgers and stellar service!

Ive never had a bad experience going to World Burger. Its my go to burger place. I love the Jump burger or for their lunch special during the week just a straight up all dressed burger combo its an awesome deal. You cannot compare them to places like McDonalds their not even in the same class of burgers or quality you get at World Burger.

Where do I even start? The Selection of burgers is definitely by far something I totally recommend checking out. From maple mayo, candy bacon on the Ottawa burger, or even pineapple on the Maui burger. Today I tried the Calgary burger, and let me tell you, If you like meat, I totally commend trying it out. You will not be disappointed. Very well portioning. It s a little pricey, but you definitely get your money s worth.Thank you World Burger for your services. :)

We tried this place for the first time today. I have had gourmet burgers before. The Calgary Burger was the best burger I have ever had. The patty was the perfect thickness. The pulled pork and smoked meat worked beautifully with it. The bun was soft and smooth. And the onion ring was a creative and delicious addition. Each time I took a bite, I was surprised at the height of which I enjoyed it. Thank you!!

Horrible. $10 poutine is tiny with maybe 3 cheese curds. Burger was ok, but definitely not worth $13. NEVER again. What a waste of money.

Ottawa burger is the BEST! I went to World Burger a lot when there was a location in Orleans, too bad that one was closed down so I have to drive 30 mins to this one to have my favorite burger.

Excellent customer service, very clean and quiet place. The employees were very sweet and even tho it s is a fast food place, it was such a relaxing atmosphere with VERY fast service ! Wow! The food delicious, definitely going back to try more items on the menu!

I would give them a 5 but the fries arrived cold and were relatively low portion given the price. Other than that, the burger was phenomenal. Very tasty and I wish I ordered a second one instead of getting the fries. I dont particularly understand many of the reviews that are negative, but im guessing each experience is different. I will order from here again.

Honestly im extremely disappointed. I dont come to this area to get food but dropped my mom off at Winners. I have never tried world burger but decided to try it out as i like to try new things. Upon glancing at the menu It looked to be outside my price range but was glad that they had a lunch special. I asked about it to try it out but the manager on duty said he wont give it to me as i am an hour late. I understand that there is timings involved in this but is it better to take a sale rather than no sale at all? As someone who has never tried your food is it not better so someone can try it possibly love it and come back again? Rather than pay full price for something they wont enjoy? I definitely wont come back here again.

Had the Calgary burger 2 weeks ago and its still on my mind. It was off the charts good. Good quality fresh beef, shaved smoked meat, onion ring, great quality bun. My god it was good. Highly recommend. Im on a restrictive diet right now but when I cheat, Ill be going there every time.

Update: each time we go the portions seem to get smaller and smaller, we now get about 8 onion rings per order if that for $8. I still love the jump burger (now has a new name but I can t find it because the website is never up to date), but even the toppings and sauce are getting thin. I would rather pay more for the original portion sizes. When I went back (pretty close to the time of the kind reply to my original review forever ago) and mentioned the gravy, I got huh in response...not necessarily bad service but not willing to make it up in any way. Original review: They forgot the gravy but I love them too much to be angry. The jump burger is something I would like to eat every single day.

I went mid afternoon for a late lunch. It was my first time eating from World Burger. Service was great and served with a smile! I got the classic cheeseburger combo. The burger was perfectly cooked and topped exactly how I like and the fries were nice and crisp. Keep up the good work!!!!

Wouldnt recommend ordering off the apps as there is no ability to modify the burgers , and the portions for sweet potato fries/onion rings are TINY for the $8/serving they cost.

Just waited 30 min for a burger. Apperently it was done and never called out. Sitting under a heat lamp, soggy as hell. Employees have a great attitude and energy, and would still recommend. Regret taking burger, shouldve taken the refund I was asking for.

FOOD POISONING UPDATE !!!! 36 hours of agony!!!! I HAVE NO WORDS FOR THIS PLACE. I AM SO SICK FROM THEIR FOOD. First time eating there MONDAY OCT 31, 2022 12:26 AM WEDNESDAY 12:26 AM AN I AM STILL SICK FROM IT. Last time eating there. Food poisoning was the result. I had lunch there and I am still recovering from the food poisoning. NOW 36 hours of agony. I will never return to this establishment. I HOPE AND PRAY PEOPLE SEE THIS AND NEVER EAT THERE.

FOOD POISONING BUFFET! I ordered a new orleans burger and it wasnt that bad while I was eating it. The worst part came afterwards when the food poisoning hit me like a semi truck. Its been almost 24 hours and I still feel like garbage, my advice to you is turn the other way and run. Food poisoning update! It took 3 days of vomiting but Im finally doing better... lesson learned, I will never return to this establishment.

I dont know why when I wrote a very good review about this place, it disappeared. So here it goes again to pay $27 for a fist punched burger and a poutine that wasnt even that good. I can get a better one at KFC I will not be returning like my last review. Ive included pictures with a receipt so everyone can see Im not lying. My food definitely did not come as advertised and before he they say we use the highest quality in food here. Why was someone smoking by your order? That was an employee. Well another one talked on the phone leaving a female worker to be the only one working. Shame you guys. You should be treating your staff much better than that. Gluten free options available

They literally denied us to do dine-in at 8:20pm and their store closes at 9pm. If you re open for take out only after certain time then put the f* king sign on the door and put those different dine-in hours on Google. People sometime travel 30 minutes to get to you place!! Be considerate.

Im reviewing my initial 5 star review from 2 years ago, because my last 2 experiences were not pleasant. On my last visit, I returned to the counter to ask for the sauteed mushrooms which I ordered as an addition ($1.00) to my burger... they were not there. This place used to be sooo full of toppings that I could hardly hold it together, lol... on my last two visits we assumed they were downsizing the sandwiches to make them easier to eat and/or due to new Covid measures... Times are tough for the restaurant industry=less toppings? Im willing to accept this. After approaching the counter and explaining that I did not recieve my mushrooms, the employee was told by owner?/manager? that I was just BEING GREEDY, and to just give them to her. All within obvious earshot. Needless to say, were done. I really wish I had taken pictures to add to this post... Thanks for the good times Worlds Burger. Good bye.

Best burger I have ever had

I dont normally write reviews on places, but I thought I had to here. I have been going to world burger for years now, and absolutely love it! Today I made a custom order, picked it up, and brought it home. Unfortunately they got my order incorrect. So I called and mentioned that, and they immediately provided me two solutions. I chose to get another burger, except this time the right one :) No hassle, no problem! Long story short, I have yet to find another burger place that is as good! In my opinion, they are better than the works, harveys, five guys, and any other place I can think of. Absolutely love the service, and the food is fantastic! Highly recommend!

AWFUL SERVICE They forgot half of my order... I spoke to the manager , I asked him if I could get the other half and he said I ll take care of it.( I have two kids at home)i waited and waited... nothing ... here is what I learned: if the restaurant makes a mistake it s up to the customer to deal with the ordering system that they used (skip the dishes, uber...) they make a mistake not only you don t get your food but on top of that you get to spendsome quality time on the phone with customer service... #worldburgerPoorCustomerService.

UPDATE- Its been two years; I still havent returned. Ive been to World Burger a few times before and had wonderful customer service and a really great burgers. I decided to try World Burger again and was very disappointed this time. My bun was covered in blue mold and my burgers and fries were really cold. It had to be thrown away. I wont be returning!

I ve been to this burger place twice in a roll, both times way earlier than the closing time (6:50pm and 7:33pm, closing time is 8pm) and they didn t want to take my order, because they were closing soon . They said they close at a different time every day, it goes according to having a busy day or not (?) That s difficult to predict their closing time when they close at a different hour every day. Super annoyed by the service here.

Best Burgers Fries and Onion rings in town!

Excellent burger place. One of the two or three best I have had in Ottawa, and more reasonably priced than the others. Meat and cheese quality was great, it was cooked to perfection, and the selection of different toppings and pre-made burgers was great. I have the New Orleans burger and my wife had the California burger and we loved both of them. The fries were greay as well and came in generous portions. The price for a combo here is less than what you would pay for a mediocre burger at many pubs, so it is definitely worth checking out. We will be back soon.

Good food, bit over priced but I had to wait an hour to eat my burger so by the time I got home it was cold, but! Still good and the onion rings were amazing! Ill try again soon!

Have always liked the onion rings here, they are wonderful! The burgers are quite good as well, juicy and messy. BUT, we just paid $47 for two burgers (not the fancy ones), and one order each of rings and fries. This was an in-person takeout order in the store, not delivery (we couldnt find menu prices on the website). I understand that prices have risen everywhere due to the pandemic, but this is just too much - $15 more than a comparable order at 5Guys. Tonight s world burger experience was a huge downer :(. Me and my friend had walked from Algonquin college to try their famous world hotdog or something along those lines. To start off me and my friend get there and the first thing my friend asks is can you break this 100 Bill, the cashier says yes takes the bill and then proceeds to give it back to my friend saying he doesn t trust it. Strike one. Next he proceeds to imply that our order was being put on the same bill i had responded with no. After he has rung up my bill he proceeds to tell me as I m walking up to the cash that our in store dining was closed THAT WAS IT FOR ME. I walked with my friend 45 min In a heat wave just for the cashier to not take my friends money and then proceed to not let us sit in the dining area because they had just cleaned it So unbelievably unacceptable. Customer first always.

Just have to say thats the first and the last time I will ever experience a s#!@ show like that from world burger. Absolutely zero customer service and the fact that the assistant manager accused us the customer of lying about a kids meal is out is the most ridiculous thing I have ever been apart of a big thumbs down.

Interesting to have burgers named after cities. I had the world burger and it was just what you would expect from a top burger as the name implies. It is very tasty and filling. It is expensive for a burger but I thought it was worth it. Excellent burger, very hard to beat this one.

Fresh, homemade burgers and fries. Not the cosiest spot to eat in but definitely great for take out if youre craving a fresh, tasty burger.

I have always loved the food and service at World Burger. Your online information needs to be more accurate. My personal experience last night has me very disappointed; I looked forward to a World Burger through my entire shift yesterday which ended at 9:15pm because it is listed that you are open until 10pm. To have driven across town to be met with a dark store and a locked door was extremely frustrating. I hope this brings attention to your inaccurate online store hours.

Definitely fresh and delicious crispy chicken burger. But a bit over priced. Why would you charge $1.50 extra for just crispy chicken over and above your basic price of $10.99? I found this strange. Also, why were none of the three persons working.g in the kitchen wearing gloves? No gloves in Covid times? Pls pay attention to this point of hygiene.

They had 5 people working behind the counter but only 1 person was working, took a very long time to get our order and once we received the order it was wrong. Sure the food was alright once we got the right order but our time was wasted and the food was over priced.

Good burger but a little pricey

Ive been 5 times and each time has been very good. Food is good and fresh, service is also very good. The staff have always handled our gluten free needs well. The people with gluten alergies have never been sick from the food. The gluten free buns are very good too!

Waited 30 minutes for a burger, employees forgot everyones fries ahead of us, ours included. The manager was rude to customers asking where their food was and did not have her mask on. This was the first time ever I was waiting for a burger and left in a worse mood than when I came in

I went a few months ago and had received terrible service. I thought it was a one off, and went back and again was provided terrible service. I waited 30 minutes for a burger and fries while the manager just stood there, with her mask off! When I asked for a refund she said she didn t know how. It s sad because this place has great potential but not with the current floor managers. After waiting forever, I at least expected hot food. But no. The fries were cold.

Me and my boyfriend love this burger joint ! WE use to go to the works all the time when were craving more of a gourmet styled burger , but after finding this place we havent looked back , espcially for their prices !!! Our favourite is the jump burger ! Im glad they recently updated their drink sizes too !

I was first in line and didnt wait long for my food. We both agree Jump burger > New Orleans burger even though both are good. Poutine is good too. Hardworking staff.

Wow, I am a burger lover but this was not it. Maybe they were having an off day, but this was not a worldly experience. My World size sweet potato fries ($11) were more of a size small and very soggy. I also had the Ottawa Burger, which was decent but I honestly wouldnt even order it again. To give them the benefit of the doubt I ordered this take out so maybe if you eat inside it may be better. $40 later. Very disappointed. Now looking at the other reviews it seems dissatisfaction is a pattern, very unfortunate as I think this place could have potential. If I were you Id stick to The Works. Great food, Great prices.

Super tasty burgers

This was one of my favourite burger places in Ottawa but as others been saying, it went down hill. First, no body was dinning in and no customers came while I am there standing and waiting for my burger for about 30 minutes and no surprise why it is that empty now. No other customers to serve and still didnt make it right, dont know how. The guy at the cash was SO rude, the people making the food were too clumsy and the little kid that was handling my order put his whole bare hand in my French fries while putting it in the bag. Not clean, rude, quality of food are much worse than before, prices are high, etc.. Dont really know what happened but it is not worth it to try again. It is really sad because it was one the best burgers before this pandemic. DONt recommend to go there.

Its a no for me. For 21 dollars I would rather go to McDonalds and 5 Mcdoubles for that.

Sorry not worth the money 21 bucks. I got the Montreal burger no taste it was too small. For the price my drink was also way to small. My food should look like this and not like the second picture.
