Amazing food I definitely recommend

The service is very poor. They serve food a tad bit cold. We went during off hours at around 2 pm. However I would assume that we should still be served food in a timely manner. We additionally had to wait a very long time to pay - I honestly thought it was a better option to dine and dash, but alas we waited it out. Many highschool students im assuming were surrounding the cash register which also seemed disruptive especially if they already ordered. They need to prioritize better service, their food is decent however I would skip dining in.

Another lovely time at phynicia s! Their Za atar pizza is so good as well as the Karak teapot. Love the vibe of this place!!

Ahmad was an amazing server! He was friendly, attentive, and made great menu recommendations. His service was efficient, and he made our dining experience truly enjoyable. We d love to be served by him again highly recommend!

The food here is amazing. It definitely reminds me of the food when we visited the Middle East. Authentic & fresh. Prices are a good print point. The inside of the restaurant is really cute & the decor is very aesthetic. I feel like this restaurant is a hidden gem that you need to discover. The service is TERRIBLE so if you re coming here for good service, then I don t recommend. We ve been here many times since this review and all experiences have been the same.

Loved the food and the atmosphere, the service was a bit slow but I appreciated that he let me know in advance that the order will take a while and the staff was really friendly. I have 2 kids who were playing and staff was very friendly towards them unlike other restaurants that sometimes comment on having children run around. Decor is unique and the bread was so fresh, like out the oven straight to the table. Definitely coming again.

The food was amazing. We ordered Turkish Pide and Fatteh. The Fatteh was delicious. I liked the pide but I felt I would have enjoyed a bit more if it was less salty. I think our server forgot to give us water lol. I honestly didn t get too bothered by it coz I loved the food so much.

Typical sweet oriental MiddleEastern cuisine and restaurant perfect for all day outing. Inhouse, feshly made pasteries, desserts, best falafel and kubba, all delicious. Hospitality, atmosphere and music makes you feel at home Ahmad was extremely nice and friendly.

We just ate here with our family. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the shawarma, chic pea salad, chicken and cheese pie. This is gourmet quality food! I have never had such good tasting pita bread. It s fresh and soooo soft and delicious. Once you try it, you will know what I am talking about. We loved the atmosphere and service, plus the proximity to our home in Barrhaven. We will definitely add this restaurant to our favourite places to eat.

Excellent food and amazing service! The staff specially the waiter was unbelievably friendly and generous! We ordered a mixed shawarma wrap and it was very tasty and fresh. The taboule salad was fresh and delicious and the portion was perfect! The mint lemonade drink was fresh and refreshing! The falafel was great too. They brought sides of pickles and freshly baked pitta with the food! Our waiter s name was Ahmed and he was very friendly and gave us coffee and baklawa on the house which was very nice! Overall excellent service and great quality food and very good prices! A must try!!

I m a usual costumer, and today I decided to come with my family for breakfast, I made a reservation ahead of time and I ordered my food at 11:27 am, and ended up getting it at 12:37pm. I had 5 kids with me waiting for the food, so you can imagine how impatient they were after one hour of no food. I told the worker about my food being late and all they did was apologize and offered me tea for free, mind you I didn t order it but then added it to my order. I ordered egg and cheese but instead they brought me cheese pie and when I let them throw they gave me burnt egg and cheese and I m pretty sure there was no cheese in it. Then the worker offered us Kunafa for free and we declined and when he went to the back we could hear his workers yelling at him for making that offer. I used to come to this restaurant since it first opened and I wish it would go back to that time because the costumer service back then was great and they always had enough staff working and the food was great. While now it seems like it s super understaffed

(This was a delivery order) Falafel was dry and sauce pretty tasteless. Extra Zatar looked nothing like the photos but was okay. Chocolate pie was actually Nutella, which I think should be clearly labelled on the online menu, since I really wasn t looking for a hazelnut taste. Delivery was fast and well packaged.

It s our first time and we really like the food. The food toke time to make but it s fine because their are only two people working. Also the customer service is really good and the waiter helped us to decide and she was a great help keep up the good work. Highly recomended.

Marhaba! I had a wonderful start to my day with this place! Loved the authentic vibe of the place and amazing food. It also has a seating area if you want the sit and enjoy your food. The food here has good balance of vegetarian option with meat. We ordered a portion of Fateh with Ghee, a vegetarian pie and one Karak chai! rayie, it was perfect. It was my first time here and would surly be coming back again. Vegetarian options: We ordered vegetarian pie with cheese, and was more than happy with the food.

Awful food ( dry fallafel, fool was gross) overpriced ( when i get charged for 2$ each bread without telling me) and rude owners!!!!!!!!!! It s also not sanitary to wear ur gloves everywhere when serving plates, when cashing me out when taking the money and the worst was blowing ur nose while wearing the same gloves!!!!! We went yesterday for lunch. Service was fine. But food was just OK. We prefer more exquisite quality at Tava Turkish Cuisine, Tirweka in Kanata; and SemSem on Bank Street.

This place is overrated. There s no special taste in anything and the prices are just ridiculous. The falafels are usually dry. The shawarma isn t actually shawarma. The veggie sandwich is just tomatoes for 8 dollars. Even when you order ahead they only start making it once you get there.

Cashier tried to overcharge me for a baklava. They put it in as $5 Delivery Fee instead of a baklava hoping I wouldn t notice. Called them out and he changed the price to $3 saying he ll give me discount . Also ordered a chicken and cheese pie, got home and there was no chicken in it at all, just cheese. Will definitely not be returning. Dishonest service.

Wife and 2 kids here for lunch to try something new and were pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. Children tried new flavours with a safe twist of pepperoni pizza freshly baked in their big ceramic oven. Wife and I had the fettah and Turkish pide with the sujuk which prior to today, we had no idea existed. Topped off with their traditional coffee, It was such a feast for the senses and lovely alternative from Canadian food. Will be coming back with friends and more family.

We tried a chicken shawarma, eggplant dip and some falafel. The food tasted fresh and it was delicious. I asked for permission to take a picture of the person and the oven as the baked goods tasted so good. It made the shawarma extra good.

Terrible Service, Unacceptable Delays Our trip to this place was a total waste. We drove 30 minutes to get there, only to wait 15 minutes for menus and endure another agonizing 45 minutes for our food which never showed up. The kitchen staff were more interested in chatting with each other than taking care of customers. To top it off, they didnt even bother to serve us water. Its disappointing and inexcusable. We left hungry and incredibly disappointed.

Best Lebanese food in town. Ambience is perfect. They have very elegant décor inside with high ceilings. Service was lower than average. The server does not speak English and he forgot to bring my pita bread and water on the table.

Horrendous customer service. It s very clear when someone is speaking about you in their native language, but at least nail salons try to be polite and hide it to some extent whereas here they do it blatantly in your face. Unbelievably rude. Will not be returning, the food was mid too.

So I order falafel platter, shashokeh and foul. Falafel was dry as it is not instant fresh, it seems they keep it under a heater. Shakshoukeh was ok. Foul was ok. Pita bread they charged me 2$ each one even though I requested multiple platters this does not make sense and they didn t mention its extra, for my point of view its a rip off no matter the cost! They have very nice decorations. I would come for tea or something light. But never again for breakfast. And the service is very good btw. Overall expensive for the food quality, not worth it.

I dont recommend the pies at all!!!! Very veryyy thick dough. Hard and inedible. Barely any cheese inside and I ordered akawi but it taste like Feta cheese. I was eating all dough . I cant believe it. And the only reason I came here its because on Mondays the Baker is closed. First and last time. Wow Edit to the reply: Why wasnt I told that there are 2 types of bread? And why would you mix the akawi with another cheese if I specifically ordered AKAWI that says in the menu for $5.25? Lol Make it make sense

I came for breakfast and was served by Mohammed daoud and it was the most amazing experience ever! I loved the food, the service and how clean the environment was. Mohammed made everything 10 times better , he was so sweet and helped us with everything making sure we got everything needed. Ive been going here for their meat pies but I have stopped recently. Quality is inconsistent and I get the pies uncooked in the middle making it inedible. They will also leave the pies on the counter and not tell you that its yours and your order is ready. The owner is great but supporting team could use some guidance.

It is hard to choose which were our favourites, but dont miss out on the baba ganoush, the labneh or the Turkish Pide with sujuk. Seriously, better go with a hungry group and try everything. Ordered a shawarma after reading some great reviews. Probably the worst shawarma I ve seen in the city, and I ve been to many many places. I didn t even take a bite because it just was not appealing at all. Also, want to mention, when the woman served me at the cash, she was wearing her food handling gloves while accepting cash from me and also had her finger on her lips. This did not seem very sanitary to me at all. Gloves need to come off when going from making food to serving customers with their payment.

This is a very straightforward Mediterranean cuisine, with oven baked pies like cheese and meat with a variety of breakfast options. The dine in is cozy with friendly staff who are willing to explain to you the menu in detail. I didnt like the Kishk pie but everything else was great and delicious. Its worth the visit.

Visited Phynicia for the first time on a recent visit to Ottawa from the Middle East, and I was craving an authentic Levantine breakfast. This place did not disappoint! To start, Ahmad was our server, and he was very friendly, and kind. We ordered a mix of dishes to share, and each one was better than the next. A true taste of the Middle East in Ottawa.
