The flavor was perfect, with just the right mix of spices, and the meat was so tender and juicy. Chef Ahmed s beef kafta is a must-try. Each bite was delicious and perfectly cooked. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Grilled Tomato. The Grilled Tomato is a local hidden gem if you are after some delectable Middle Eastern fare. Ive had the beef kafta twice because it is just that amazing. They serve burgers, wraps, platters, and even mujadarra if you arrive early enough in the day. The staff are very kind and accommodating with modifications. I cant recommend the food enough! Dietary restrictions: The platters are a great gluten-free option!

I feel so guilty giving only 3 stars for atmosphere but I have to be honest. It aint pretty. But if youve got a great bunch of people to dine with, youll make your own atmosphere and the food and service will do the rest. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and entry seems flush to ground.

Went a few times here with coworkers. Phenomenal food and great atmosphere. Service was very kind and capable. Only downside is that sometimes the meal prep takes a while (about 40 to 50 minutes). They accept orders over the phone for dine in, so you can counteract the long wait with one phone call. Overall the food is amazing. Im personally someone who does not like salad, but I am able to eat their entire salad without an issue as it tastes amazing. The veggies are fresh and the dressing is great. The rice that comes with the meals is also made to perfection. Ive ordered a lamb souvlaki and a beef souvlaki before. Both were exceptional meals.

We had the tandoori chicken platter and lamb burger. Fries were very good, also enjoyed the salad, chicken and lamb burger was amazing. It looks sketchy from the outside, doesnt have a particular ambience inside. Definitely more of a quick lunch place. Friendly service.

They do food and customer service RIGHT! We absolutely love coming here...the food will never disappoint (they even customized a wrap not on the menu for my husband), and the owner and his team make a point to know you and treat you with the utmost care as a paying customer. Its a small diner, not a fancy restaurant, so its perfect for business lunch or casual date night meal!

Made my boss take me here for lunch based off the reviews. I had the omelet with steak and cheese since I missed breakfast then got the lebneh to go. Very good quality food and affordable. The steak was cooked perfectly, well everything was cooked perfectly to be honest. Would definitely come back whenever in the area.

The Grilled Tomato is delicious and filling, I highly recommend it for breakfast or lunch. They also did a marvellous job catering a company lunch. Love the whole menu, always freshly made to order. Serving sizes are generous. The team and staff are so friendly and accommodating!

Incredible hidden gem in the area. We went in and ordered the Mediterranean burger and the Mujaddara. Everything was so delicious and flavourful. The burger was made fresh and flame broiled. The fries were well seasoned and had a nice flavour. The Mujaddara tasted delicious with their fresh made tzatziki, a great vegetarian option. The staff were very kind and checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend!

Great restaurant! Everyone here is awesome. The food here is really good, and everythings made fresh here. I got the Falafel Wrap and it was just... exquisite. Falafels here are great and so are the Fries. My Mum got the Chicken Wrap and my Brother got the Lamb Burger, they rated their food as pretty good as well. Good times, definitely recommend a stop here.

We went there for lunch at noon and not only it was empty but some menu items were missing. We left without staying as we didnt find it appealing. I dont know about food but the person in the kitchen and cash were nice. I may try another day to adjust rating Service

I really enjoyed the food! Probably one of the tastiest kofta I ve had! The cook was also super warm and welcoming, which was a bonus! You ll see me again!

For anyone who doesn t work in the area, it s easy to miss this place which is more like an office canteen. But the food is so fresh and is better than most high end middle eastern places. I loved the falafel, halloumi wrap and the Greek salad. Quantities are great and the owner takes real pride in his food! The guy should get a tax break as he s doing community service by selling his food at this price!

This is a new restaurant at 70 Bongard. The owner is friendly and most of all knows how to accommodate a customer with special needs. The hamburgers are cooked to perfection, loaded with fried onions, mushrooms, catsup and anything else you want. I also order the salt and pepper wings which again is cooked just right. Perfect taste there is a great aroma which you dont often get when ordering wings. Any time I have asked for something special he has come through with flying colours.

AMAZING. Food is delicious!!! Honestly the best Mediterranean food I have had in Ottawa. Had their Kafta wrap, Lamb Souvlaki platter, Chicken pasta, tabouleh, grilled haloumi wrap and more but none of them was a miss. All five out of five!!! They even sell peanut butter cookies and carrot cakes that are super yummy. And the owner is very friendly and accommodating. Never had a bad experience with them. Definitely try it out!!!
