By far the best restaurants for Lebanese food in Ottawa.the mashawy ( barbique grill is amazing: kebabs, fillets and taouk). The fatteh is to die for. The tabouleh and tattoos are great too. Its a family owned business. The owners are very kind and they serve the food with the employees. If youre in Ottawa you have to try this restaurant!

The food is always fantastic every single time I come here! Update 7 years later: Still the same! Best toum, best grilled meats (cooked to your liking), best fattoush, best hummus, best tomatoes, best turnip, best service! Im so happy they survived the pandemic, we even tried our best to order from them during lockdowns even though we live far. I try to bring all of my out-of-town visitors here because there is nowhere that has as robust flavour, quality, and all worth the price. Most importantly the food here is consistent. I know I am getting exactly what Im looking for every time I order. This is my comfort food even though we live 30min away across the border. We get the family platter almost every time since its the best way to feed a group of people with variety! I wish the owners well, they continue to do an amazing job.

Food & service were outstanding. The owner of the restaurant was friendly and made sure that everything was going okay. The person who served us was Lubna, she was very attentive and friendly. Overall i enjoyed my time, and definitely will come back again.

Went with family after church and enjoyed some of the dishes. It was too early (11am) so we couldn t enjoy the platters.

the dishes were nothing like what youd expect based on the menu description and traditional preparations of those dishes. What was served felt like a misguided attempt at creativity that simply didn t work. For example, the [shakshuka], which is typically known for its delicate flavors and balance, was served in a completely unrecognizable form. To make matters worse, the prices were absolutely absurd. I would expect a certain level of quality or at least attention to detail for the amount they were charging, but this was far from the case. 70$ per person felt like a slap in the face when it was just breakfast. Honestly, I could have had a far better meal at half the price elsewhere. I cant recommend this place to anyone unless youre looking for a place to overpay for underwhelming food.

Delicious food, great service, and a simple, quaint restaurant with good ambiance. I was amazed by the portion sizes for such fair prices. We re just passing through as tourists, but if we were locals we d definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of dining at Les Grillades recently, and it was an unforgettable experience! The highlight of my meal was the shish kabob, which was simply divine. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with beautiful decor that added to the overall experience. Food is 10/10. The presentation was way more than I expected. It was beautiful. Prices are fair. The food was cooked perfectly- the chicken, hummus, and garlic sauce were to die for !!!! The waitress accidentally took one of our plates that had a lot of food left, but she brought it back.

Absolutely delicious middle Eastern Arabic Lebanese style food in the capital of our nation. The hostess with the hijab was extremely gracious and sweet. The restaurant is very spacious and clean with a little cute prayer room for those who observe the five daily prayers. I really enjoyed the hummus and the meat was seasoned to a perfection. Extremely juicy and easy to eat. I will definitely recommend this fantastic restaurant to all my family and friends who visit Ottawa.

Foods okay. 3/5. Ambiance is ok 2/5. Over priced for sure. Service is horrendous, there was a blonde server who kept rushing us to place the order. She came 3 times and asked if we were ready to order in a span of 5-7 minutes. I was looking forward to their shish kabab, since even before getting to the place so I ordered. But then when I ordered, she took down the wrong order and didnt repeat the order. When the wrong dish was served, we told her but then she started gaslighting me and wouldnt acknowledge that she took down the wrong order. Since she was adamant on not taking back the wrong order, I said Ill eat whatever you made but just acknowledge that its a possibility that you may have heard wrong. At one point of time she reach over the whole table for my plate and started a tug of war with the plate with me. Absolutely horrible behavior. She even came back after 30 minutes to ask us if we were done. And that there was no rush, the bill would be paid at the front. But then she came back 2 minutes later and started cleaning up our table, indirectly signalling us to leave. Horrible service. If she hates her job or hates customers, she should go find something else to do. Still tipped them, but I shouldnt have. Do not go there unless youre ready to be harassed by this server.

AMAZING FOOD I was in my way to mont tremblant and got off the highway looking for food, stumbled upon this place by chance, and i have rarely been so lucky ..food is so good, i cant never ger enough of it ..their hummas is to die for .huge portions, spot on taste, very friendly staff ..EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE

Cant count the number of times weve been to Les Grilliades over the years. Its the perfect spot for a family breakfast, an outing with friends, lunch with a group of work colleagues and dinners with people from out of town. The food is always amazing and the service exceptional. This family owned and operated restaurant serves Lebanese cuisine exactly as you would expect it in Lebanon. Their fatteh is the best youll ever eat anywhere in the world. Parking: Plenty of free parking is available.

Great food. The owners are really nice. This place has a small number of reception where you can rent and have a party there. We had rented it once and the owner was very nice with us allowing us use it a night before to decorate. Good quality is great but little pricy. As we say, you pay for the hat you get.

I enjoy having Lebanese breakfast/brunch at Les Grillades. Ever since its old location, the breakfast food never fails. I may not have enjoyed their dinner menu options, but I didnt try much of them. I highly recommend it for Arabic breakfast food. The space is large; suitable for groups and families. Its clean and the bathrooms are clean. It is not wheelchair accessible, unfortunately. The servers are friendly and help you stay realistic with the quantities your order because even the small portions are quite generous. The only comment I have is that it would be nice if the servers were more attentive and if they would at least check on us a minimum of two times after the food is served. In my experience, when I go, I usually have to get up to call a server for anything that I need even when its not busy. Vegetarian options: There are begans and vegeterian options. Dietary restrictions: The food is halal.

I ordered a family BBQ meal and it was delicious! Really good cuts of meat, fresh vegetables and everything tasted delicious. The best part is none of the food felt greasy or oily. Highly recommended!

Les Grillades serves classic, beautifully prepared and presented, flavorful Lebanese food. The meals are big. If two at the table you should consider one meal and one appetizer a modest challenge but one you will address with enthusiasm. The food is delicious: the service excellent; the cost reasonable; they serve no alcohol. There is little atmosphere which is preferable to a massive Aladdin show but it lacks romance. We would go back in a heartbeat if not for the 3000 mi trip.

Food and service are very good

Very expensive for what you get. The family meals are very small portions. The chicken is very dry. You get one salad or one plate of rice for a family meal the fries are nice but crazy for 11$ probably frozen fries that cost 8$ per bag. Overall good people but really need to change the portions and the cooking. Its not like it was very busy and did not have enough time to correctly prepare our plates, we were only 2 families in the restaurant. I am disappointed to say the least.

Be prepared for heat if you visit here! My wife tried soup and kebabs, I tried the mandi. The soup was as hot as my wife could stand, and shes from the Caribbean; the sauce with the mandi was inedibly hot for both of us. The service is charming and personal, the lamb kebabs were superb, and the quantity very generous for each of us.

My family and I have been to Les Grillades many times over the years. In my opinion, Les Grillades has the best Lebanese food in Ottawa. Not only is the food fantastic, the owners and the staff go above and beyond everytime we visit. Leila, the owner always checks in on us to make sure that everything is to our liking. Both owners and staff are extremely professional. In the past, we have invited out of town guests to Les Grillades. Everytime they revisit Ottawa, they ask to go back to Les Grillades. Thank you Les Grillades for providing amazing and authentic Lebanese food in Ottawa. We look forward to many more delicious and authentic Lebanese food at your restaurant.

First time trying their brunch menu. It was absolutely delicious. I tried the fatteh with meat and mousabaha. Can t recommend it enough. Laila s customer service was outstanding. Will definitely be back!

We ordered a couple family dinners for a small gathering and everyone was pleased with the food. The chicken, lamb and beef skewers were perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. Always a pleasure dealing with Les Grillades.

Went there for lunch on a weekday by myself . Their Fatouch is one of the best Ive had. Not loaded with onions ( none actually) and just the right amount of oil/ vinegar dressing. Their hummus is incredibly smooth. The chickpeas and oil on top are a nice touch. Had the Kefta Kishkash which were delicious. The tomato based sauce on top was a great discovery. Finished with a Lebanese Coffee. Hot, strong. Perfectly brewed.

Ordered the family platter with the 10 mixed skewers. The beef kababs were over done, we asked for medium The chicken ones were very dry Fatouch salad has way to much dressing which also made it soggy and the rice had way to much spice (paprika or tomato paste ) not sure! Overall for the price that we paid over 120$ we dont find it was enough food and it was definitely not as good as I expected it to be!

We came in at 1:30 pm and were greeted very professionally. I had heard good things from someone at work, so we thought we would give it a try. So glad we did! We had tabouleh, hummus, green beans and an wonderful garlic bowl as appetizers and a kafta/chicken brochette plate each and EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. We have just discovered our new favorite restaurant. Majid made our experience even better with his attention to detail and friendliness. The portions are very generous; so much so that we could have been more than satisfied with those appetizers and only one plate. Now we know and we will definitely come back often!

Good food , place has boring colours and design . We go there for the food and the good and friendly staff but not for the vibe . I get five stars because of the good friendly owners and staff and food. But I would give two stars for the ambiance and the atmosphere.

Run by a family who took care of details, mansaf was the daily dish and was a pleasant surprise.

I had high expectations of this place but sadly it didn t live up to its hype. The place was jam packed even on a weekday so I guess it shows it s the towns favorite but it just didn t hit the mark for us. We ordered mandi and bbq platter. The salad was stale. The garlic was extremely overpowering. Mandi wasn t marinated enough. The kebabs were perfectly cooked hence the 3 stars. Maybe we didn t order the right items. But like I said the place was jam packed. The servers were very nice. They took into consideration food allergies and brought for us separate rice without nuts. Dietary restrictions: Nut free

The music was a little loud (and the speaker right above our booth!). The food was awesome. We ordered koofta and Taouki chicken. It comes with salad, humus and garlic yogurt so ordering appetizers is a mistake to me. I also ordered the soup of the day, an amazing lentil soup. Will come back.

The food is excellent and authentic. Very clean (even the bathrooms were spotless). The prices aren t cheap Vegetarian options: Lebanese cuisine naturally has vegetarian options (loubyieh bi zeid, okra, hummus, tabbouli, spicy potato, etc)

We went there on the 6th day of Ramadan, at iftar time. The worst experience Ive had. We waited 50 min, only to be served cold Mix grill family platter (90$). The quantity of meat served doesnt reflect the price, the plate was full of grilled onions and tomatoes and few pieces of meat ! The rice was blend, tastless and cold. The quantity (of everything) they serve is too little for the price. The desert had an overwelming taste of rose water ! 0/10

Tried Les Grillades for the first time this weekend and unfortunately I was pretty disappointed in the service and the atmosphere. The staff was pretty rude when we walked in and because it was my first time I needed some time with the menus but my server was just getting frustrated and didn t make any suggestions or try to help me understand the items better. Just stood there rolling her eyes and tapping her foot like we needed to hurry up. The thing that bothered me most about my dining experience here was the bugs YES BUGS FLYING AROUND !!! I have never been to a restaurant in my life that had so many little fruit flys flying around at first I just seen one and me and my friend were trying to kill it then we noticed there was over 6 of these flys on the wall right beside us it was very difficult to enjoy the experience with these flys on and around are food / flying around are faces and heads. We obviously asked to move where a very polite male server came to help us move are drinks and plates to a new table but we still had the same problem to the point we just asked for takeout box s and left. We told the gentleman working at the front desk that it was extremely unprofessional and hard to enjoy are food with these bugs flying around but he said there was nothing they could do and it s just that time of year he must have thought we were stupid because that makes no sense at all the fruit flys are attracted to ripened fruits and vegetables so there is clearly something extremely wrong with the kitchen and the cleanliness of how they are storing there garbage / fruits and vegetables. Although the dining experience was horrible the food was really good wish I could have enjoyed it more instead of having to leave 3 bites in :(

This restaurant is good but I don t recommend you coming as a family because you are going to pay more than your going to eat! I ordered a meze plate which is appetizer it came with 3 grape leaves and we are a family of 7! They are not generous at all we asked for a plate of garlic sauce beside of the bbq they said that we gave you one plate you have to pay for more and how is a mini plate of garlic sauce enough for family of 7!!!! After all I would not want to come to this place BECAUSE ITS VERY PRICY!!!!

Best authentic Lebanese food in Ontario in my honest opinion. We drive from Toronto to Ottawa when we crave delicious authentic Lebanese food.

My first time here for dinner with my partner. Was a lovely atmosphere. Service was really excellent - very warm and helpful with menu suggestions. Food was excellent. Lots of different favours and quality was brilliant. Will certainly be back.

My husband and I always love eating here! Their breakfast is delicious, as well as their lunch/dinner. Everything is always so fresh and cooked perfectly. The owners and staff are also extremely kind. I would recommend anyone to eat here for the best authentic middle eastern food!

Best food Ive had in Ottawa.

I come to Ottawa a couple times a year to visit family. Les Grillades is one of my go tos while Im here. Everything is delicious ! Great portion sizes too!

Literally the best lebanese food in ! The food is amazing to say the least from the vineleaves (wara2 3enab) to the hummus to the grilled platter. However, what was even better were the desserts... The knefe is to die for. All the desserts were amazing. The owners are extremely hospitable and welcoming, I truly felt at home. I just visited and cannot wait to go back!!!

Food is tasty, worth a one time try, it was our anniversary and thought of trying something new, but the presentation, taste and quantity is similar to other restaurants in the market. For me with a family of 2 adults and 2 kids ordered way too much and had to pay a hefty bill of $230. It is overpriced I would say, but worth a try atleast once. Vegetarian options: Good salads Dietary restrictions: You need to specify clearly. Parking: A lot of parking, no problem at all Kid-friendliness: No high chair, which I noticed, our baby girl was sleeping in our lap, Wheelchair accessibility: Access to the restaurant is huge, but if you are totally dependent on a wheelchair, this is not an easy place to go too as you will have to clear the 8 stairs to reach the restaurant and take 14 chairs down to the bathroom.

Not sure where all the 4 and 5 star reviews are coming from, but ad someone who eats a lot of Mediterranean food I found this restaurant very average. There are many people who do enjoy this restaurant so perhaps my taste is a bit different but I do enjoy other local competitors more... pita bell, turkisj kebab house etc. This place was overpriced for what they serve imo. Service attitude is friendly, but servers who are not assigned to your table will ignore you. Even if you are just looking to ask them to get your server for you. Had the dark haired girl flat out ignore us when asking her a question just because she wasnt serving us which soured us a bit as they charge sit down dinner restaurant pricing and not shawarma / kebab shop prices. Overall surprisingly average and will not be returning.

After more than 5 years loving that place because of their famous and yummy grilled boneless chicken, today marks the END of this story after having a very bad experience with a undercooked chicken and the way the waitress and maybe the manager were trying to convince me that it is perfectly cooked . On top of the unprofessional way the issue was handled, prices went is significantly I DON T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AGAIN AND FEEL SORRY ABOUT IT AFTER HAVING A GOOD REPUTATION, BIT UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS A REALLY I am pretty sure you will find many substitutes for this restaurant that would even outperform it many folds, if you don t find, feel free to contact me and I can tell you few of them . Really nice, friendly staff, fantastic chicken skewers, they were so grilled so well! Some of the best Ive had. Delicious desserts and coffee. And plenty of pita bread on the side. Very happy to have tried this place.

Reservation recommended for Saturday nights. We showed up without a reservation, not knowing it would be so busy but they were able to accommodate and give us a table. Food was excellent! Big portions. My Chinese parents who arent very adventurous when it comes to non-chinese foods really liked it as well. We ordered three mains, medium fattouch and extra hummus and that was enough for 4 adults and a child, with tons of leftovers for the next day. Plenty of parking, but dont think its wheel chair accessible as I didnt see an elevator.

We went to This restaurant a family of two adults and two kids. We ordered family, barbeque plate and Family appetizer the service was very slow ,when the order arrived. I thought we re gonna get multiple appetizer plates. It was actually one plate that has portions of 1 scoop, family barbeque plate. It was very small although they say it s 10 skewers the kebab was too soft and falling apart The chicken shesh taouk was very dry and tasteless. The lamp cube barbecue was awful. We ordered also a plate of french fries. We paid almost $190 With a tip, I don t know what kind of family meal is that it does not taste good it s not enough for two people, the service was terrible. The waiter checked on us once we needed to pay the bill there was no one around. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for someone to show up. I don t think this place worth the visit and definitely I don t recommend it to anyone. Don t be fooled it s halal !
