We have had very good pizza in the past from this shop. However, I am not prepared to subject myself again to the rudest treatment from a business that I have faced in many decades. We ordered a pizza on Saturday evening, 2024-04-06. The order taker confirmed that the prices in our flyer were still valid. A few minutes later, we noticed that the total price quoted was somewhat higher than the price of the pizza plus delivery plus tax on both. We called back. The order taker was somewhat agitated and insisted that he was not responsible for the price shown on his computer. He hung up on us. 55 minutes later, no pizza and we called again. We patiently explained that we still wanted the pizza and would discuss the price problem with his manager on another occasion. The order taker became very agitated and slammed the phone down on us. An angry refusal to take a look at a total price higher than the individual items plus tax cannot help but leave a customer suspicious of impropriety.

I have ordered a large pizza yesterday. I don t know this place before but mistakenly called them to order then I got my pizza for $35 which is too expensive even if the pizza is good. The pizza is the worst I ve ever had. It was a raw dough with a lot of cheese.

Worst experience ever. Dont order from these crooks. They dont do whats best for the customer and will be unreasonable on the phone. The middle easter man I spoke to gave me attitude on the phone and blamed DoorDash instead of taking responsibility. Do yourself a favour and take your hard earned money and go to another pizza joint.

I ordered 3 pizzas yesterday(April 12th 2024) one had a piece of broken glass and another had a hair in it. Overall taste was okay but would not go again - please be more sanitary.

I saw this pizza places while driving to the mall and said one day ima try that pizza and last night was that day. Now where do I start this pizza was the most delicious pizza I had ever had. I have found the pizza paradise! have been eating from Merivale Pizza for over 4 years and at least once a week. These guys really know how to make the best pizza. Classic fluffy yet crispy dough cooked to perfection, very generous with their toppings, delicious pizza sauce, and their blend of cheese is just amazing . Friendly and professional staff and great food. I highly recommend this place and I am certain they have the best pizzas in Ottawa.

Have been ordering from Merivale since I have been a child. One of my favourite thick crust pizzas ( they also have a thinner crust option) the garlic sauce is great as well.

So, I stumbled upon this place on New Years Eve. I just googled pizza in the area and this one came up first and with high ratings. Well, I wasnt disappointed. It was amazing. I told my daughter about it when I got home and we ordered it again. She agreed, it was delicious. This is now our go-to pizza place. We are never disappointed.

Heartbreaking, used to be one of the best pies in the city. Apparently change in ownership a few years back has monumentally changed quality and overall product. Super sad to see this happen to a staple of the Nepean landscape.

Started ordering Merivale Pizza Christmas Eve. I have ordered a small ham and pineapple. It is so delicious. Every time I order I am not disappointed. This business I highly recommend. Parking: Merivale Road

My family and I have been ordering here since Ive been a teenager, almost as long as they have been open. I really do enjoy their pizza. The main reason my score isnt perfect is due to inconsistency in not just the product, but also the orders on occasion (which is the main reason Im doing a google review for the first time). There are times youll order from Merivale Pizza and youll get exactly what you ask for and it will be cooked perfectly, and then there are some times youll order where it seems like the pizza may have been in the oven for a minute or so too long. When the pizza is cooked perfectly its great, hands down my preferred pizza place on Merivale. The problem is that for as long as Ive ordered from here, its never been 100% consistent with the quality of the pizza and over the very recent years, some of my orders have actually been mistakes (not many, but definitely more than a few), Im doing this review because today I received another mistake (and yet I still wanted to give them at least 4 stars because I do love their pizza). They are good at resolving mistakes and in my experience, they have offered to send a completely new pizza to remedy a mistake, or offer credit towards my next order but it would be great if my orders were always guaranteed to be great quality and correct when I order them. TL;DR: The pizza is amazing, when its cooked right. Ill always order here when I want something with good portion and good quality, but that quality isnt always guaranteed.

My boyfriend and I go there A LOT. Hawaiian pizza with the thick crust is ordered every single time. We get usually either the donair sub with garlic sauce or the steak sub with no mushrooms and are in heaven every time. The pizza is so filling and good, lasting us a few days. I dont think we would ever go to another pizza shop again, UNLESS we had no choice but to.

I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza with a drink on Sunday at 11 and I checked on Google theyre open until 12 and I went out at 11:35 until 10 minutes after midnight and I got it so that it would be here at 11:45 and it didnt come seriously come on its pretty self-explanatory that Im never ordering from here again

I ordered a medium house special pizza over skip the dishes ( they manage their own delivery ( first time trying merivale pizza ) I was a bit disapointed at first because the garlice dipping sauce was missing, I called the store and they came back asap for the missing item. The pizza was probably one of the best I have had in Ottawa, all quality toppings & cheese. The service is also excellent. I have had this issue with missing items in the past for many other pizza places and was told next time ! Or refund. When you are expecting garlic sauce with the pizza, its just not the same without so I appreciate them coming back very fast to drop it off This is now my new spot I will order from anytime I want pizza.

I think that the pizza could have been delicious but unfortunately, it was seriously undercooked. I asked for it well done and the tips of the bacon was burnt and the cheese was barely melted. Oven too hot?! All in all disappointing and waste of money.

Prices are constantly different every time we call. They dont honor their advertised prices currently on their website and other menu platforms. Food is good but we are really unsatisfied with the unreliable prices and false advertising. Wont even allow us to pay for extra cheese. Its not even an option. We just got their current flyer in the mail and they wont honor the prices in the flyer. We find this very unprofessional and overall just a poor way to do business. PLEASE PUT AN EXPIRATION DATE ON YOUR FLYERS! This one says Spring Edition 2022... Its still spring until June 21st 2022. Its April 28th 2022. DISAPPOINTED

Unfortunate that It has to come to this conclusion. I ordered over the phone Merivale special and said no pepperoni, halal please and they gave me the special with bacon. To have another pizza made that was without pork cost me an additional $15 to the $35 pizza + $3 tip ($53) for a mistake from them. They weren t pleasant from a Muslim to another Muslim I would have expected better from them.

I have been a customer for years, but these people do not value customers, but are greedy for your money. This place has the worse customer service I have ever encountered. They are very rude, they hang up the phone on you without listening/addressing your concerns when you call because the messed up your orders. Very ignorant, unbelievable rude, they have no respect and do not know how to value or deal with their customers. Guys stay away and order from people who will value you as a customer, they never change or acknowledge any mistake. Terrible place!!!!!

When my pizza arrived it had basically looked like it had been tipped over the whole way. It was no longer appetizing. So I called the restaurant back and explained the issue. The gentleman I spoke to was very friendly and offered to make a new one and have it delivered... totally worth the wait, it was made to perfection and completely delicious.

I am a pizza guy, I can eat pizza every day. I have been living in the Ottawa area first Stittsville now College Square. I was craving a good pie on Friday. I did a google and I thought i would try them. I have tried many pizza places in the city and this by far is the best pizza in Ottawa on top of being the best pie the guys were very friendly.

Best pizza anywhere in Ottawa, Nepean, Kanata, Stittsville---bar-none! We used to live in Nepean and ordered pizza from Merivale Pizza for some thirty years but moved to Kanata last May and to my disgruntle they dont deliver here. Definitely my loss.

Merivale Pizza used to be my favorite place to order pizza and subs but not anymore. Today we ordered steak subs and there was barely any meat. It was mostly lettuce and bread. Also we ordered through Uber Eats and the subs were cold even tho we live just down the street from Merivale Pizza it came cold so we had to heat them up ourselves. Also we were overcharged for our order. Their menu shows the special that you can order 3 subs for $23.95 instead we were charged $31.00 plus $2.00 for delivery even tho their driver didnt deliver our order. I am very disappointed in the quality of the food and for ripping us off like this. You would have thought being regular customers that they would have sent better quality of food and charged the advertised price. I will be ordering out from somewhere else from now on. Theyve just lost a long time regular customer.

Pizza taste fine. Good ingredients but the thin crust just falls apart. Delivery guy couldnt follow the special instructions to not ring the door bell and woke my family up. Not saying it is all bad but be cautious with your expectations.

Most amazing pizza I have ever had...and I mean EVER. The dough is incredible. The sauce is incredible. The cheese is incredible. Cooked to perfection!

Aug 12/20 Food is only sub-par. Nothing much to say about the pizza, sandwiches or sub. The french fries were so old and probably had been cooked several times - probably in the microwave. They were so hard and some so rubbery, I couldnt chew the majority of them - horrible shriveled fries! Never again!

By Far the greatest pizza place in Ottawa! They always make my food EXACTLY how I request, They are some of the nicest people I have met as well. Very friendly and incredibly delicious food. I highly recommend giving Merivale Pizza a try!

Positive experience!I had a hiccup with the charge, and was double charged by the driver after I paid online. I called the restaurant and within an hour a manager/owner was at my door to provide a refund immediately. It was a simple mistake, and I dont blame anyone. Instead I was astounded by the prompt service to fix the error. On top of all that the pizza was excellent!!! Order from these folks, good food, and exemplary service! Thank you for the good food and an extremely positive response! Immediate response and caring is hard to find! 10 stars!

Went thier tonight was told about the mask sure whatever it s the rule . But the one tall guy who didn t not talk nice to me and was using swear words and took down my plate number and said watch what will happen if I call because I said I would call bylaw for not wearing a mask while dealing with food but telling me I had to wear one . The rest of the staff always treated me good when I went it . I will not be visiting here anymore until somthing is done about this guy he has no right to swear to customers . ordered a large plain pizza yesterday and was very tasty and ordered apparently they were four large donairs. I would have called them small veggie donairs with a piece of meat in it. very disappointed with them. Milano makes a good donair with lots of meat and I cant even finish it.

Pretty disappointed with our order this evening. Its a holiday and we fully expected to wait a while for our Pizza (anything but turkey leftovers again!) We were actually a little surprised that it was at our door in 30 minutes, but then it became apparent why. We got the wrong pizza! The dough was undercooked and goopy. It was edible, but it wasnt good. Also we ordered a club sandwich and they used the end piece of loaf to make it. Not a huge deal, but just shows what kind of care and attention and quality they think their customers deserve. So, not the worst meal weve ever had, but we wont be repeat customers

there is only one thing to say... you order the pizza WITH wings both are phenomenal pizza is loaded wings nice and crispy. get your sauce on the side, as I prefer the wings plain here but give your self an option. price is fair not over priced. only reason its not a 5 is the garlic sauce not the worst but not the best. all in all eat here if your craving pizza and wings and are in the Nepean area.

If you actually know pizza, this is one of the very few places in Ottawa where you can get true traditional pizza. In my opinion, a good pizza is mainly in the dough. The crust should be like a pastry- crunchy on the outside and flaky on the inside. Merivale Pizza has this mastered. Especially during daytime hours, where you can catch the owners. Ive travelled near and far for pizza. I once drove to Windsor from Ottawa just to try a pizza that supposedly won an award for best pizza in the country. And this is one of my favorites. Bravo Merivale pizza.

Heard from a friend that the pizza here was worth going. Glad I did. Pizza was better then expected and worth my time to go. They are not shy on the toppings and the sauce was not over powering. Crust is what I like for a pizza. Definitely will be going back if I have a pizza craving while in the west part of town.

Gave this place a try and definitely was not disappointed. One of the best pizzas I have ever had. Nice, thick, cheesy, well cooked and great taste. The poutine could use a little work (change your cheese curd brand and fries type) but its still good. Will be one of my go-to for pizza for sure.

I have been his customer for last the 8-10 years, My kids love his pizza(and he has one of the best pizza in Ottawa). I complain about his pizza once and it was in the last week. His response was very rude and he didnt acknowledge me as his long time customer. He literally told me he doesnt care about my complain and no need to order again. He probably forgot about why he has still a pizza business.

Horrible experience, they delivered undercooked pizza, only 7 deep fried picked & there special box was just disgusting soaked with grease. My fiancee called to complain and they said theyd fix it. They sent the exact same stuff soaked in oil. It states on their website that we are suppose to get a refund if unsatisfied. Well when we called back they refused. We offered to send back all the food, because it was unedible, they refused and started to get very hostile and rude. I should have taken the call as a sign when they almost forgot to take my address down. They are incredibly rude. Dont state something if your not going to abide by it. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL.

Being new to Merivale Pizza I didnt know what to expect. After having tried it I have to say its an exceptional value! Lots of toppings and cheese: when I picked up the box I was amazed at how heavy it was. They dont skimp on toppings and the pizza was hot, fresh and tasty. Well worth the money.

Price is a bit steep, however the taste... And quantity & quality doesnt compare.

The wings were also awesome, crunchy but nicely coated with sauce. Overall it was a great experience. Ill go back for sure and recommend them as my friend did to me today!

Hands down the best traditional pizza in Ottawa. And let me tell you, I know pizza. Note to owner: please dont change. Only suggestion, work on a better garlic dipping sauce recipe.
