Des did a great job on our visit a few days ago! Spectacular service!

I had such a wonderful time eating at this location. I just came to Canada from Italy to visit some loved ones, and I couldn t have asked for a better first meal in this new country. The manager, Dani, made this experience so enjoyable. Her friendly attitude and ability to communicate with the other employees gave me a great idea of how Canadians are. Thank you for having me East Sides!

I usually shy away from the food but today I tried the chicken Parm it was fabulous the sauce was tasty and the pasta actually cooked with some love. The service was exceptional! Our Server was Alex and we can t say enough about how much genuine effort he put into our experience. This was a treat and I m glad I agreed with the kids to visit. We visited on a Saturday night, and were quite pleased with our experience. The food was good , and well presented- they wont blow you away but the value is excellent. The drinks (Violet Iced Tea) were great. Our server- Des- was very attentive, friendly, and we were never wanting for refills or bread.

I waited there for 5 minutes and was never served or even acknowledged. The please honk for service sign was without a horn attached. The restaurant was completely empty and I just left after a while of standing there.

My husband and I had an excellent experience tonight. Seating and service were prompt, our waiter (Alex) was upbeat and positive, and the food was great.

This was our first time at the Bells Corners location, our food was delicious and our waitress Des was amazing. We had a great experience! I had two 13 year olds with me and they were immediately drawn to her charismatic personality! My daughters friend was cutting up her calzone and accidentally dropped a huge piece on the floor(13- so she was SUPER embarassed) and Des swooped in and made her feel so much better! She was an absolute delight! East Side Marios is very lucky to have such a kind, hard working individual working for them. She genuinely seems to love her job and the people!

Last evening, September 26th, 2024 our family of 6 attended ESM for a special birthday dinner. We frequently go to Eastside for family celebrations but will not in the future. We were so disappointed with our meal. The pasta was badly undercooked, the Chicken Alfredo had absolutely NO Alfredo sauce on it. When I asked the server he asked the kitchen staff for a side sauce with arrived over 10 minutes later. My daughter in laws meal arrived almost 10 minutes after the other meals arrived. Very disappointed as we waited, as a curtesy for her meal to arrive before we began to eat. Some of us ate luke warm meals. On a positive note, our daughters Amatriciana was excellent as was my son in laws Milano Chicken and our daughter in laws calzone. Luke warm, yet excellent. Unfortunately that cannot be said about three of our meals. We have celebrating special occasions at EMS for over 35 years and, despite the odd minor problem, we were pretty much satisfied. This time was our last. With a total cost of $187.14, including the $24.41 tip, the meal was not what we had come to expect from Eastside. Eating out is expensive and getting a substandard meal is not okay.

Our server Des provided one of the best dining experiences my family and I have had in ages. She was bubbly, very attentive, patient and always smiling. Her service was excellent and fast, even after she said she was having an off day. Being a server myself I could tell she was genuinely taking care with her tables and providing amazing hospitality. Our all you can eat food was superb- The italian wedding and Cacio Pepe being a highlight of my Meal. Father John always indulges in his favourite, chicken parm , and he was not disappointed. He said it was hot , cooked to perfection and delicious . We will be back. Please show Des some love, she deserves it.

It is still an awesome restaurant..I have enjoyed this restaurant since 1986. It is the best East Side Marios on the west end of Ottawa. Only problem was we went on a Tuesday night where the kids eat for 2.00. Well my friend who was an older senior was not impressed with the rowdy behavior of the table of kids. Parking: It is in a plaza there is lots of parking. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly but the parents need to control them..if they want them to go to flying squirr or trampoline park then so be it. Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of room for wheel chairs.

False advertizing, on the restaurant windows there is a big sign indicating that kids eat for free on sundays but inside the waitress told us it didnt work for groups bigger than 8 persons. We where a group of 14 persons, I was personnaly with my wife and two kids.

Food is amazing here and for a fair price! Calamari was on point, and the buttery gnocchi was even better! The waiter Alex was amazing, he works on Thursdays-Saturdays and he was lovely to talk to and had amazing service! His personality was paired perfectly with the food weve been served, I never had such a lovely experience until now. 100% recommended and food was fresh and delicious. I want to make sure hell get most of the tip as he deserves it for sure! Hes such a kind soul, me and my boyfriend loved having him serve us and around us. Also not to mention he gave me as much parmesan as I desired. Lovely experience, will be coming back!

I was going to write a very long-winded review reflecting on previous experiences but honestly, our experience last night was wonderful!! Lets focus on the positive and an ENORMOUS shoutout to Des, who took care of us very well!

I wish the staff would advise you that they have a limited menu for the patio as it was quite disappointing to not have a soup with my mains. Salad didn t disappoint as always and the pasta was not bad. Overall service is better than the Hunt Club location.

Had a good time and our service was very good. Everything came at the right times, and was hot when received. Plenty of time was given between the courses and drinks were constantly being filled. Both our servers were very pleasant and smiled all the time. Good vibes!!!

My family & I booked the rooftop patio for a huge birthday recently. To say I am impressed with the staff is an understatement. We struggled with wind blowing around our decorations & the staff working jumped in to help us. We had a huge number of guests, probably around 70 people. Just as food was about to be served, it started to pour. Our guests had to stand all around the bar - which you think would have ruined the evening. The staff very quickly adapted, were able to find everyone & served us our meals. While dealing with customers scattered around, other staff were desperately rushing trying to save our decorations in the pouring rain. Might I add - they did all this with a smile. The staff kept everyone happy, entertained & the drinks flowing. The staff went above and beyond during clean up time which we did not expect...we barely lifted a finger. We are VERY impressed with everyone working that night & appreciate all the hard work they did to ensure we have a wonderful evening!

Stopped in for an early dinner and had the appetizers for dinner. The bruschetta flatbread was delish! Also ordered the gnocchi, but you have to eat it fast, or it changes texture as it cools down quickly.

Went here to celebrate the end of the school year with our kids. They were clearly understaffed and slammed with graduation parties - the kitchen was beyond backed up. But our server (Des) went above and beyond to keep us comfortable and was super attentive to our needs. She saved the experience for us for sure!

We absolutely love Eastside Marios. The service is amazing and we love how accommodating they are with substitutions, items that need to be changed for dietary reasons. We love just coming here. We were served by R daddy AJA, and we love how attentive she was. Kid-friendliness: Kids eat free on Sundays, and on Tuesdays kids eat for two dollars.

The bread was the softest and freshest weve ever had here, the new Italian wedding soup recipe is a win (not as salty either). They stopped doing that pathetic $4 Bud/Coors with a meal as a special, which was making it so you couldnt get that AND include the CAA discount. And finally, Brittany was incredible with her customer service!...She was even predicting extra bread, drinks, etc. Really on the ball!

Amazing food and service

The Eastside Mario s location in Bell s corner is amazing! They have been supporting our team for years and we keep coming back because of the amazing service and the ease in coordinating that they provide. Thanks to our great team on this last visit of Emma, Amna, Simon, Raja, Sara, and Des. We brought in our largest group yet and were a little worried it could be a challenging size, but that was all for naught. They didn t miss a beat and everyone was happy.

Des, our waitress, was super attentive, with an awesome, personable personality. She ran through the bill with me, explaining everything. If I could give her a 10 I would....is there a way to double this? :P

I have always loved the Pasta Carbonara with Double Bacon at this restaurant. Today for lunch I ordered it, priced at $14.99 usual price for Luncheon Serving. Well NOW they have decreased the size of the serving by HALF, the Carbobara Sauce was disgusting, VERY DRY, No Garlic, I was on my Lunch hour from work so I was hungry, chose not to make a scene, & just let it go. After my lunch which I only ate half of, I mentioned it to the Server, as did my girlfriend who ordered the same meal with Gluetin Free Pasta annd her Sauce was the same as well.Needless to say I am not going back to this location for my favorite Pasta, it was terribble and way over priced. When I mentioned to the Server about the Cost, they replied how expensive Cheese is now & cost of Bacon. Yes I know that but Pasta is still very cheap, especially when purchased in BULK! So my $14.99 was for 2 slices of Bacon, some cheese, No Garlic.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience this evening taking our dad out for Fathers Day. We waited an hour and a half for our entrées and the free bread was very undercooked. It wasnt even like the place was full; there looked to be lots of servers so I dont know what was falling apart in the kitchen but it was very disappointing.

Chicken Parm was delicious. Drinks were yummy and Des s service was amazing! She was very attentive in the perfect way. All the orders were correct, service with a smile and she gave us time to chat with little interruption. No pictures of food. We dug right in. Great evening!

Ive been to this location many times and its one of my favourites. Everything always tastes fresh and well seasoned. I highly recommend the chicken Parmesan, its what Ive been getting for years and its always so delicious!

I would like to start by sharing the name of our server. Her name is Katie and we received the absolute best service from her today. We have been to numerous restaurants in the last several years and not once have we received service half as good as she provided to my family today! We are a family of 5 including 3 children and as such, we are quite a bit of work! Katie was friendly, fast, efficient, attentive and anticipated our needs as the meal progressed. In every way, she was the best server we ve had the pleasure of being helped by in a decently long time! Thank you Katie! Everyone throughly enjoyed their meals and we were quickly provided everything we needed. We haven t been to East Side Mario s in a good while but we will return! Kid-friendliness: Crayons and papers with puzzles and brain teasers were provided to each of my 3 children. The menu was enjoyed by each.

Des served us a tasty meal on this fine Saturday evening, after a long day of work, some pasta and smiles were just the reward we needed!

Food was tasty with generous portions. Alcohol prices were very reasonable. We were a big group with many special requests and our server Raja was simply lovely: patient and personable. The washrooms were not very clean but very accessible (there was space beneath the counter for a wheelchair to fit so the person could wash their hands). Overall a great experience. Wheelchair accessibility: There is room for a small chair to maneuver. The washrooms have a space under the sink for a wheelchair to fit so people can wash their hands.

The best thing about the restaurant is you can have unlimited free salad and bread when you order a main (except for pizza). The pizza was tasty, but I find the pasta a little bit plain.

For many years we have enjoyed every meal at the Bells Corners Eastside Marios. Whether just us or with larger groups twice a year, we are always very pleased with the quality of the food, the great service and the wonderful people that work there. A special shout out to Mike, who is our Super Server at all of our large group events. The kindness, humor, care and pride in the restaurant and the food shines through everything he does Brittany and Danielle are also very helpful to ensure things are reserved and set to go for our group events. We dont have anything but good things to say and we are very grateful for all of the great meals shared there. Thank you to all. This is the first ginger ale review in a while that does not include a photo but rest assured I ate here and enjoyed a ginger ale sans photo documentation. It was my first time eating at an East Side Mario s and can I say mama mia that was good. You almost can sense Luigi s presence as you eat at this Italian restaurant.

Went for dinner. Service was great. Apps were good (Calamari aldiavlo + All you can eat soup and salad). However, the mains were underwhelming (chicken parm meal) due to a lack of flavour in the sauce.

Absolutely excellent experience, the server Emma was incredibly friendly, and checked in with us multiple times to make sure we didnt need anything. Food was perfectly cooked, and the breads just kept coming.

The Valentines Day set menu is very valuable. The food is still delicious as always. Jayden who served us was very nice. This is a five star experience.

While I had an amazing Valentines date at east side Marios. I found the ceasar salad that my girlfriend and I shared to be very dry and not creamy enough. My girlfriend who isnt a very big eater the waitress wasnt able accommodate her at all and the only way to accommodate her and I with my tight budget is to have the lunch menu or share a meal. My girlfriend never had any trouble with having a kids meal portion at any restaurants and the east side Marios the kirkwood location which is now permanently closed. The only things that were good was the company of my girlfriend and the dessert. My girlfriend and I will not be returning to this location at all. They even didnt do our reservation properly as I called 3 weeks prior to make a reservation for 2 people in wheelchair and they were about to seat us in a booth. I feel like for a person thats in very tight budget paid too much for a shared meal and not treating my girlfriend with her request. I feel that I want my money back. I forgot to mentioned that we werent even served bread and butter like east side Marios like they usually do while waiting for the food and drinks.

They do not make simple accommodations (smaller potions but willing to pay full price) for kids with special needs (autism and arfid). We will not be returning to a restaurant that cannot make accommodations for the disabled. When I made a comment about it on their tiktok they deleted my comment. Way to go east side marios. We were super disappointed but apparently after this happened we discussed it with a few other asd families and heard they had problems there too. Do not recommend.

Service was amazing, the server Des was really a hands on server and got everything we needed quickly and was so nice.

The service was excellent! The food was pretty good and the prices were good. It didnt take long to get our meals and there was endless garlic bread brought to our table which is always fantastic. The kids menu had a good variety of options. The regular menu had something for everyone too. The portions were large and none of us could finish our meals, but we brought home leftovers. The atmosphere was great and kid friendly. They provided crayons and colouring pages on the backs of the kids menu. Kid-friendliness: Great place to bring kids. Colouring activities for them and a variety of kids menu options.

We were seated then sat for 15 minutes without even having someone say hi or ask our drinks. Then when we brought this to the attention of the hostess, they deliberated for another 5 minutes who would take our table. Finally they made the hostess come and ask us to move tables. At that point we walked out. Awful service. Hostess was nice but everyone else walked by as if it wasn t their problem and ignored our table. Do not recommend, there s other locations near by don t waste your time here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bell s Corners East Side Mario s all due to the outstanding service we were provided by our waitress named Jayden. She was extremely attentive, bringing over more bread and salads promptly when she noticed we were low, asking how everything was doing frequently, and carrying herself like she was very happy to be at work and serving us. She was an absolute pleasure to meet and get to know a bit more. We will definitely be back and hope to have her as our waitress again! Give this gal a raise!!!

One of the best restaurant experiences Ive had. I went there for a first date last week. The hostess was super kind and friendly, she complimented my outfit which I loved. We sat upstairs on an empty patio which was just beautiful, our waiter was super friendly as well with these awesome looking glasses. He frequently came to make sure we were doing alright and asked questions to make sure I had no gluten in my meal, as I am allergic. The food was fantastic, they have many gluten free options for me and my date and I had a wonderful time. When I commented that I loved a song that came over the radio, the waiter heard and turned it up for us. When leaving everyone was very kind in wishing us a good weekend, and another member of staff even pointed me to the bathroom with a smile on his face when I looked lost. Beautiful place, friendly staff and excellent food. Fantastic experience all over with this location, Im sure we will be back for another date in the future.

I generally like this chain for casual American Italian. I love the included bread, soup and salad. Theyve recently changed their Italian wedding soup for the better! Their new bacon potato soup was too thin. I tried the Trio sampler. Not bad but Ill go back to one of my favorite pasta choices.

Great family place

As a family we have been to many East Sides in the region and we have been dissapointed with the service over the last few years. We went to this one 1 month ago since we were going to the pumkin show at wesley clover park. We were not dissapointed. Food was great. Service from Des was great. Des was really great, she was attentive and fast, very friendly and accomodating. I would definitely recommend this location.

Three of us - two Chicken Parms and one Lasagna. Food was excellent. Service was slow but restaurant was not too busy. Waitress took our drink orders (beer) and came back 15 minutes later wanting to know if we wanted to order while we waited for our drinks (!?) Drinks came, ordered dinner, soups/salad came quickly, and dinner was timely as well. Empty plates picked up and we had to chase her down 15 minutes later for the bill. Great dinner but service needed to be a little more attentive and efficient.

The food is always good here, service is normally sub par when compared to othet ESMs. Todays server was clearly sick, sniffled and coughed continuously as she took orders and served food and drink. I understand that people need to make a living but allowing a clearly ill server serving food and drink shows carelesness and complete disregard to customers safety. it says quite a lot about the management of this establishment.

Went to this establishment last night (December 15th) at 10pm, one hour before close. There were three other tables, and it was a pretty empty night. Our waitress was very rude , I dont know her name but she had dark brown hair and brown eyes. Barely visited our table, threw our to-go boxes at our table, didnt bring straws when asked, and cutlery was dirty and oiled stained. Upon time to pay, I did not provide a tip as the service was subpar, and the waitress moved back, and crossed her arms and rolled her eyes at me when she noticed this. Will not be recommending this restaurant.

Went for dinner about 8. Restaurant wasn t busy. Bread was brought to the table and we ordered appetizers which took 30 minutes to arrive. Salad was brought, we finished it quickly and asked for some more. It took another 15 minutes to get the refill salad. Asked for a drink refill that never arrived. Main courses came 1 hour after our arrival. We asked for takeout containers and the bill. Service was extremely slow. Will not be back to this location.

Great value for the money. Good portion sizes. Family oriented and more attention could be paid to the cleanliness but nothing horrendous. Excellent staff.

Well, I ordered hells kitchen chicken and it was a small portion. I remember the last time I ordered this, it was served in a bowl with stewed vegetables. Now, it was served on a plate with a couple stewed tomatoes and 4 tiny mushrooms, a side of their wedge potatoes that I find have an odd texture and little flavour, and their... Steamed? Unseasoned vegetables. The soup was good, the bread was okay, the Caesar salad dressing was limpid and lacked any kind of punch aside from lettuce water flavour. But hey, I didnt leave hungry. I just feel like I overpaid by a significant amount. The best thing I had was the violet lemonade, and that was bottomless. I might come back for appetizers or for pasta, but the meat dishes are going to be a pass in the future.

This Eastside Mario s is the best of the best ! The management, friendly staff that are incredible and attentive. The food is always fresh , hot and quick . Many places could learn from this experience on how a restaurant should be run . We frequently go here and we go back over and over because it s just that good .
