The renovation they did made it really classy in there and they just might have the nicest stage in Ottawa. Plenty of bells and whistles for the band. They even have a few signature brews from Broadhead Brewing!

Been coming here for years, great cozy atmosphere, delicious food with large portions, great friendly staff, awesome selection of local rotating craft beers. The reason for this updated review is my most recent server, Camille! You are the most attentive, kind, caring and smiley server I ve ever had at Greenfields and anywhere else for that matter. Keep up the great work, it s noticed, along with that smile!

It doesnt matter what you otder because the food is always amazing. Their fries are the BEST! Parking: There are not many spots up close, but there is plenty of parking around the mall.

Waitress was a bit late ,took a bit of time to get the food on the table , even though there were empty tables the minute we said no dessert she brought the bill, also for the food the hamburger had no taste I also asked for Coleslaw was charged 3 dollars for just 2 servings to my surprise wasnt Cole slaw just cabbage with dressing on it, if they didnt have coleslaw just say no .

My wife and I enjoyed a meal with my brother and sister-in-law here. The food was excellent, I had the Pub Burger and I was excellent and the fries were really good. One really cool thing was they let us sample a few beers before ordering, so I was able to get the exact beer I wanted. Wheelchair accessibility: Main level

I had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant. what really stood out was the owner s appalling lack of respect towards customers. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, they were dismissive and rude. Their attitude made us feel unwelcome and unappreciated. I won t be returning and would advise others to think twice before dining here.

We discovered this spot several months ago, and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute there. The food is very good. $5 daily tacos. Cant go wrong!! They even have a vegan option! $5 pints, with 4 flavour choices, all day, every day. Better than any other places happy hour specials in Barrhaven. Best part about this pub, however, is the staff. From the owners, to the managers, to the servers....all fun. All friendly. All awesome. Fully recommend this spot for drinks/dinner with one friend, or many!!

No communication, unprofessional, avoid.

We had the gorgonzola steak, which had been aged for 35 days. After taking a few bites, we began to feel quite unwell, so we politely informed the waitress. Unfortunately, she did not offer any alternatives. I am still feeling unwell after 30 minutes.

Dont come here, it might get busy and you wont get your food, go somewhere else on days the restaurant looks busy. My father and I came in to eat here today, arrived at 6:30. It took around 10 minutes for our server to see us and about 10 minutes for our drinks but Its understandable as the place was really busy and the server was very kind. We ordered our food by my own account after we got the drinks at 6:50ish but it was 7:37 and after complaining the manager came and spoke with us. He said the order was placed 32 minutes ago, its busy and your the number 3 order right now, I gave the benefit of the doubt and maybe it was 32 minutes I could be wrong I will mention there was no apology and I suspected strongly that this was a lie. I asked how much longer the food would take explaining that we were very hungry and had been at the restaurant for a very long time (6:30), the response was no more than 10 minutes. 10 minutes later we complained again and said we had not received our food yet and that we would be leaving soon. By 7:57 20 minutes after speaking with the manager we let staff know we were leaving. The manager notices and noticeably and rudely points us out the door with his hand. No apology from the manager. I work in a restaurant I know how long it takes to make a burger when the restaurant is completely full the answer is not an hour and I have never reviewed or been to a restaurant in the city where this occured to me at this level while eating out around twice per week. for reference we have eaten here over a dozen times over the years going back to when John was still the owner, and its usually pretty good but we wont be coming back.

this place is great for late night hours however don t expect good service. been here twice and two different waitresses (hannah and abby) have been simply unprofessional, don t move with haste and overall unkind. all employees seem to be robotic and void of personality. Food

Service is lacking big time. Visited on a Friday around 630 pm and was seated on patio. Wasnt overly busy as many tables still unoccupied. Waited 10 min and no server approached me. Had to flag one down who said she would send someone right over. Another 10 min the manager approached me (20 min by that time) and I ordered a glass of wine. Waited another 5 min and still no wine. Almost 30 min. Decided to walk out. Went elsewhere. Slow and impersonal staff. Not very welcoming. The vibe is awful. Better places to go where staff actually smile and provide prompt service. Plus this place is way over priced for food.

First off the atmosphere was awesome, like a proper British pub kind of vibe, wood, leather, dark ambient lighting. Huge selection of drinks, and an awesome menu. The staff were attentive and friendly, and helpful with drink selection too. The food was delicious, great Mac and cheese and fried fish sandwich.

I was handed a pint of beer with a fly in it! I would not usually make a fuss about it but the after customer service was terrible. I would look into your night management team !

We have been to greenfields many times and we usually have great food and service. Last week we went for lunch had the nachos and requested extra cheese and sour cream on the side. We always order this and its always great! This time it came with salsa Verdi and not alot of cheese We are always willing to pay extra. The women owner said I new you would be trouble to my girlfriend when she asked for more cheese and no Verdi. The owner said Im not returning the nachos. I couldnt believe what I was hearing and we left! There is ways to talk to people and thats not it!! We wont be going back for a long time and we usually go once a week. We will give our money to an establishment that appreciate the business. There are alot out there!

Really enjoyed the atmosphere of the patio, lots of space. They had a kids menu for my son. I got the nachos which were huge, my husband helped me with them. My husband got the chicken curry and enjoyed it, said it was mild which he prefers. We also enjoyed the mocktails. Bathrooms were clean. We noticed they have a stage inside for live music. Staff were very friendly, especially with our 3 year old. Kid-friendliness: Staff were great with our son, they have a kids menu.

Horrible service Saturday evening. 35 years of age and never have I been so humiliated at an establishment. My girlfriends and I came from dinner for a night cap and were cut off after two shots and one drink because we didn t order food . After speaking to the manager, the little girl serving us thought it was her prerogative to slow us down . Extremely disappointing and coming from someone with her smart serve- we were not showing signs of intoxication to warrant this treatment.

The staff are always friendly, giving this place an excellent vibe. Im not one for live music, but they do seem to have a good balance of quieter nights. The place is well kept and doesnt feel grungy like many other bars/pubs. Parking: Limited parking directly in front, but always spots available around the side.

It was a busy Friday night, we lucked out finding a table. Despite how busy it was, service was prompt and friendly. I ordered 2 pitchers, and some wings with the guys. My bill was under 60 before tax. Fair prices, wings were a little small but excellent flavor. This will be a staple spot for my friends I now that Ive just moved to Barrhaven.

Service attentiveness was good. The 2-seat tables are too small. The food was very disappointing. We had the equivalent Greenfields Philly steak sandwich and the Fettuccini w/chicken. The Philly was soggy and mushy. The Fettuccini was ok. Only 1 IPA beer was available but it sufficed Kid-friendliness: Several small kiddies were in the restaurant with no evident problems

Can never go wrong with a visit to Greenfields! Large food portions, very tasty selections and great attentive service. That all adds up to a great evening. Parking: Lots of parking available at all times.

I give 2 stars for the good service but not the food. The food isn t that good compared to the price. I d recommend to have a drink here, not the food! They re all over cooked, dry and hard to eat, especially the fries.

Barrhavens original pub is always busy. Ive been here several times with groups of 6-8 and their large tables are accommodating. Their patio is also nice and spacious. The service has always been very good and friendly. The food however, IMHO is not as good as it has been a couple of years ago. Eg my last visit I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a fennel cabbage slaw on the side, plus fries. There was a generous amount of meat, although nothing special about its taste as it lacked any smokiness. Granted this is not a smoke-house type of restaurant, so I dont know for sure if this is made in house or supplied from outside. The disappointment was the slaw, although it was a side, it was just a pile of shredded red cabbage. Nothing near what I expected. And the fries tasted over done (old oil perhaps?), with lots of small pieces. Even my friend that ordered the sweet potato fries noted the quality was poor. Its these little things that show the quality is not there as it used to be, and you cant make it up by serving a huge pile of fires or serve overly large dishes. I must say though that their pub burgers looked excellent and would recommend sticking with that. Finally have to comment on their house beer which is still $5-8 a pint. They do not operate a brewery on site, instead their house ales are brewed by a supplier and they taste good. Stick to the burger and beer, enjoy the patio or the atmosphere indoors and their wonderful servers. Reservations available online, quick and easy. Sorry, no photos this time. Parking: May not find parking right near the pub, due to limited spots and other businesses, but the huge parking lot for the plaza is available nearby.

I had the BBQ wings and the Quebec Poutine. It was one of the best poutine I ever tasted. Service was great, food was served quick and hot, and our server was friendly. I will definitely be back.

Beautiful little gem in barhaven. Great atmosphere. They have some really good prices for drink specials some of their own made beers 5$ and their wine for 1$ an oz, hard to beat those prices. Amazing food, great prices. Great sized servings. Overall so impressed, cannot wait to visit again

Food: 5 star, was delicious. Service: 5 star, waitress and staff were super friendly and accommodating. Decor: 5 star Down 1 star cause it took over an hour to get our food and it wasnt busy. Grant it we were a group of 12, however it still felt like a long wait. Down 1 star because they charged us 1 dollar for chili flakes...and 2 dollars for Parmigiano to have sprinkled on our pasta...like really? What kind of place charges you for chili flakes when you order a $30 pasta dish...absolutely ridiculous.

The food here is soo good! I ordered the curry chicken and rice bowl but I got tofu instead of chicken. I was expecting it to have a curry sauce but it was just spices in the rice. I took off 1 star because the tofu wasnt marinated and they over cooked it so it was rubbery and tasted bad. Everything else was delicious. My friends got the burger, which she was basically obsessed with and the drunken penne which he gets every time.

What a great surprise it was to realize that Greenfields Pub had undergone massive renovations recently, emerging as an upscale neighborhood pub and restaurant! The quality of the food was excellent. It was prepared and presented with outmost care and attention to detail. Service was impeccable as well with Manager Patrick training in Emma that night. Patrick treated Emma with respect, and Emma proved polite, smart, and matter of fact when answering questions. Both my friend and I are not the easiest customers, yet all was navigated with patience, professionalism and generous smiles. We will surely be back soon.

Everything was cooked to perfection and served on hot plates . Cori while giving our starters asked if we wanted the main corse right away or if we wanted to wait ... Not a bad bloody caesar, but the shrimp tacos werent very good. The service was meh and I found a lot of the menu items were overpriced. Although the patio looks neat, I wont be going back. Ok, I lied; I went back. I was surprised by the 5$ drink menu and had the 5$ taco of the day - Philly cheese - and they werent bad. The patio location in sunny Barrhaven brought me back, but itll be the 5$ drink and taco menu that keeps me coming. Service was decent.

A drunk woman got into a verbal altercation with a friend because he called out her pushy obnoxious behavior, then she proceeded to physically assault him by throwing her glass of drink at him and hitting him in the face after that. Everyone witnessed it and tried to diffuse the situation. Some patrons even came over to check on the friend and commended him for not reacting back physically. Then this manager calls the cops to on us while the woman walks away just because she is his friend for and theyve know each other for 25 years. Other than the horrible management itd be great spot.

Really disappointed in our meal. We went for my son s birthday after hearing so many good reviews. I had the chicken curry rice bowl and the rice was mushy, it was bland, and had no curry flavor at all. My son s steak, the most expensive item on the menu, was undercooked (at medium rare) and barely had any seared grill marks on it. The waitress removed the rice bowl from our bill, but didn t seem to care about out experience or our feedback about the steak. The nachos were great and the atmosphere made us decide it s a good place for live music and nachos only. We will never be back for dinner. Don t waste your hard earned money on dinner here. Drinks and nachos only.

My wife and I went in for lunch on Oct 23 when it there were few customers. We were seated midway back. Waiter did not engage and ignored us. No water, no conversation. After waiting 15 minutes with no waiter coming to take our order we walked out. We are over 60 and perhaps thisGastropub is too yuppy and arrogant to serve older clients. Anyway, we will never go there again and strongly recommend no one over the age of 50 patronize this establishment. P.S. We were wearing face masks against covid-19 this fall. Maybe they are anti-maskers.

Went for a drink after hockey just recently. Friendly staff and great selection of beers. A gem!

Food was really pricy and not good. Had poutine and wings. Wings were 18$ and it came with only six small wings. At least give a full pound if you re gonna charge these prices. The fries were good in the poutine but the gravy was so salty. 3 of us ordered it and none of us really ate it because it was way too salty. Definitely not worth the 15$ they charge for it. Don t think I would come back here to eat which is too bad because the house beers for 5$ are great.

Parking: The adjacent parking is limited, but the mall the pub is attached to has much more at a minutes walk.

Sooooo..... Just went to Greenfields for some nachos with my girlfriend. It was a mound piled high which was nice but by the time we got to the bottom there werent many toppings left. So we asked for some salsa and sour cream. They charged me 6 bucks for some salsa and sour cream. 2 bucks for the cream and 4 bucks for salsa. I did bring it up with our waitress just to make sure this wasnt wrong. I did get 2 bucks back for the cream lol. Really not the point. 4 bucks for extra salsa with nachos!!! Its not like we were given an abundance of extra salsa. Just think theres no way there would be a charge for salsa with nachos.

Tonight I was at this place cause I was told it was a good spot to enjoy music and have a good bite to eat! The night was going well untill me and a couple friends witnessed the bar tender/ manger shove a lady into her friend cause they were asking for her paper receipt! As we watched this whole thing go down he continued to shout at her screaming and yelling and told her to get out multiple times! I was very shocked at how the girl was treated and couldn t believe my eyes of what just went down! He then said he had the full rights to do what he did multiple times as he continued to yell at her and her friends! The cops finally showed up and things settled down! As a business owner I would not recommend this place to anyone until the owner figures this out and truely hope that guy loses his job and get charged for his actions! Very unprofessional first time visit !

Greenfields is tucked away on Greenbank so not the most obvious but a great place for meeting up with friends for eats and drinks. They have a plethora of beers and a great menu. I encourage you to try their nachos as they will be the largest serving you will have ever had. I was there recently and ordered chicken wings and sadly the portion I could have held in the palm of my hand with 1 carrot stick cut in half for $18. I will go back but wings will not be ordered again. I would highly recommend you check it out though!

Beautiful place service and food

Great atmosphere especially on the side of the restaurant with the stage. The food and service were good. Their house amber and IPA were very good, and very competitively priced for the quality. Washrooms were also very well maintained.
