Oh boy! I was there today, food was so delicious, fresh vegetables, tabouli was juicy and the olive oil made it taste like heaven. Pita bread was as it was out of the oven, prices were very reasonable comparing to others, staff were so kind and efficient, the place was spotless and I saw families with their kids as well! I will definitely go back and I honestly recommend this shawarma prince!

I am often in the area and this used to be one of my favourite shawarma places, however, in the past couple of years, I have been very disappointed in their chicken shawarma. I ordered all dressed and literally got one slice of tomato and two turnips on the entire sandwich. There was lots of lettuce and chicken, but I did not order a chicken lettuce sandwich. Please be more generous with your toppings.

The person who served me was very nice, enjoyed talking to him and he warmed up a batch potatoes when I arrived. Now unfortunately for the food, I ordered a sandwich but the chicken was dry, lacking flavour, seasoning and salt. The chicken did not appear or taste that fresh, the garlic sauce either had too much egg whites or was old, the sauce broke on potatoes and became chunky and started to resemble under cooked eggs. Potatoes were warmed up and fresher but again not that flavourful and the garlic sauce was unappetizing. The price is on the higher side and the quality was not there, first and last time at this location.

I ordered from Doordash. I was really let down by my mixed shawarma plate. It was dry and flavourless, with all components all being underseasoned. It just tasted like nothing.

I arrived at the restaurant to buy my lunch, but when I entered the restaurant the smell was terrible. They need to clean that place up. It wasnt the smell of food, it was the dirty smell of a place that isnt cleaned.

Did not give the chicken on my shwarma platter and then expected me to go back and get it once I was home. Despite 4 people being in store. May 2024. Ive been coming here for about eight years. The food was as good as any shawarma in Ottawa. As a customer Im loyal. I used to recommend Shawarma Prince Merivale. I stopped recommending it over the last year or so. Im at the point now where I actively recommend staying away. Its too bad because they are nice people. But Saturday night the food was so greasy and salty that I cant go back. The potatoes and garlic was an unpalatable mess. The plastic container had a river of brown oil at the bottom that soaked through the paper bag. The potatoes are cut too large and the chicken was dry. I woke up today dehydrated from all the salt. Yet somehow the rice was under-seasoned and overall the shawarma was bland. Somewhere along the way they stopped caring about quality control. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere for your shawarma needs.

Service was good, food mediocre. The floors were dirty under the table old food, and just generally unclean. Prices on the high end.

The prince online for the family platter was listed as $59.99. The digital advertising at the cash register was $60.99. They charged me $69.99 (plus taxes) and wouldn t honour the prices listed online. Disappointing service. They should have honoured the prices they had advertised lower in two other spots. The excuse being we need to fix that . Very frustrating. Fix your prices or honour the lower one.

Just received an absolute mountain of food, didn t skimp on anything and used real hummus and toum. Both chicken and beef were tender, moist and flavourful. I rate them 10/10 since despite increasing costs they still deliver the same shawarma platters I was used to getting elsewhere before covid.

Shawarma Prince (Merivale Road) Sam and staff were amazing, super nice, super friendly and great service. We ordered 3 family platters for my daughter s 18th birthday as she loves shawarmas. More than enough food and pita bread just like he promised. You can never have enough meat and you need the pita bread to enjoy. Shawarma Prince Merivale did not disappoint. Thank you Sam and staff!

I went and ordered and asked him to put from the shawarma i asked for because the one he was going to put looked expired . He said no its not and ignored what i asked him to do, the next day i started having some problems with my stomach and ended up in the hospital , they told me i ate something wrong and not good for my body and till now my stomach dose not feel good , IT IS NOT GOOD .

Do not order from here. Worst customer service ever. I explained to ALI what the menu item stated and he told me I was wrong, that it doesn t say that. When the item description tells you what comes with the meal, you shouldn t have to re-ask for those items to be added to the order. We will never be ordering from here again.

I only started going to this location when I moved to the area about a year ago after leaving Centretown - where you could find a different Shawarma spot every few blocks. But this spot? So far, this spot has been the real deal each time Ive visited. The staff are ALWAYS so friendly (special shoutout to the young man working the evening of January 9 - he deserves a raise for how friendly and quick he was). The food is fresh and piled HIGH. If you want leftovers, this is the place to go. Im a creature of habit and have only ordered the Beef or Chicken Shawarma platter, but last time we ordered 1 platter was enough for a massive plate for me and 2 pita sandwiches for my partner. Cant recommend this spot enough if youre looking for a solid Shawarma spot in the west end.

I have had donairs there many times. Today was the best donairs I had. I stopped going for awhile because a young man didnt know how to wrap it. It fell apart a mess. Not today the best wrap I ever had, that makes the donair. I dont know if you read reviews. I went there today. I wanted 3 large donairs. I waited and was told no donair meat. Was offered beef or chicken, dont like these. He told me to come back tomorrow. I only go there once a month. I was very upset, best donairs I ever tried. I wanted to give donair to a friend. Very disappointed. Will I have to find a new donair place???

The side of potatoes with the garlic sauce was nothing short of amazing - flavorful, crispy outside - tender inside. I am already looking forward to our next order.

I havent had a Swawarma this good since I was in the middle east. Lots of flavour and a hint of attitude, perfect. Evening staff seem like they are dead and hate their lives. Everything is a struggle, including severing the customers. Dinning in, tables were gross, floor was gross, every napkin dispenser empty, just over all kind of gross. I ended up eating in my car.

I ve been ordering food from this place for a couple of years now( By Uber eats) and I ve been happy but, today s food was awful! Everything looked bad. Rice was overcooked and mushy, potatoes were not freshly cooked and not crispy at all. Chicken and beef looked not so fresh also a little smelly. Honestly I m still shocked
