Red Lobster in Nepean

Had a reservation tonight for 6:30 which was booked thru the restaurant... when we arrived the waitress told us we had to sit in 2 booths because someone else had reserved on google and caused them to be double booked... manager refused to help and just told is to sit in 2 booths... absolutely unacceptable and we left. For a place having issues with bankruptcy you would think they would care more...

IF YOU ARE RESERVING A TABLE: YOU MUST RESERVE ON BOTH GOOGLE AND RED LOBSTERS WEBSITE. My family had reserved a table for 7 a week in advanced for 6:30 on a Saturday on only the red lobster website. We had an email confirmation. We arrived at 6:20 and was told our reservation was taken by the Google reservation instead as they double book and the Google reservation doesnt leave the restaurant with a confirmation email. My family has people with mobility disability and had driven from Stratford Ontario to visit us. When we told the waitstaff they said they didnt have another table and we would have to be split into two booths. Which would not work with the mobility disability that we were trying to accomodate. The restaurant was not busy at the time and we could see two empty tables that could have been put together for our group but they did not try to right the situation for our group. Ultimately we had to make last minute plans elsewhere. Truly disappointing as we had the confirmation email and arrived early. Do not go to this red lobster.

Cannot trust reservations. We made a reservation through the Red lobster for a table for 7 app 2 weeks ahead of family coming up to visit. We received the email confirmation. Arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes early and they had given our table away. Trying to find another place on a Saturday evening for 7 people took a lot of searching and was not a great restaurant.

Staff is kind and receptive to questions. Delicious food and the atmosphere is nice and calm. Lovely menu options and great seating. Will keep coming back :)

Uber Eats delivered me the wrong order and when I called Red Lobster to tell them the situation, their manager got new food made and actually got into her personal vehicle and drove the order to me That is superb customer service and thank you to the RL team and the manager for being amazing.

Regular spot for Birthdays.. This time around, Food was great. However, I find the waiter didnt pay us much attention, I had to be asking for stuff.. that normally was given to us.. Fork and crackers for crab.. and not even check on us to see if we wanted an extra drinks..

The air when you walk in is so heavy it s hard to breath. The bathroom smelled like it wasn t cleaned for months. Payed over $200 for 4 people. $50 for two dry cold lobster tails, everything was cold but the plates were hot? Very disappointed with the portion size and quality of food, would not go again if it was free. The reason they get 1 star is because the service was great and the lady we had was very nice. Aside from that it would be a zero star review if possible.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service my colleague and I received at your Merivale location on Remembrance Day. While our initial experience with the lady who greeted us was positive, it quickly turned sour due to the behavior of our server, Marylynn. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hostess, which was appreciated. However, once we mentioned that we were there to take advantage of the military special in observance of Remembrance Day, Marylynns attitude noticeably shifted. From that moment on, we felt disregarded and rushed. She frequently skipped over our table while checking on other guests, and when she did attend to us, it was in a hurried manner. For example, she collected our plates while my colleague was still holding his bread. The most upsetting part of the experience occurred when it was time to pay. Marylynn lingered beside us as we processed the payment, and when she glanced at the receipt, she made a dismissive sound hmph. The machine had run out of paper, so she left to replace it, and upon returning, she threw the receipt on the table without any explanation, only saying, There s your receipt. This treatment left us feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. The way Marylynn treated us was unprofessional and left us with the impression that military members are not valued at your establishment. What should have been a simple and respectful meal turned into an awkward and embarrassing experience. We did not expect special treatment, but we certainly did not expect to be treated with disdain either. I wanted to bring this issue to your attention, as I feel it is important for management to be aware of the behavior of their staff, especially on a day meant to honour military service. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously, and that steps will be taken to ensure that future guests, particularly military members, are treated with the respect they deserve.

Nothing better

I do not like seafood but they have some really good macaroni with bacon, garlic mashed potatoes and some chicken dishes. The waiter was wanting me and my family to pay more but ideally we went for what we wanted since he down graded some of the food.

The food is good but the service is outstanding. Amal, our server made my son s birthday celebration most memorable. She was very cheerful, fun and enjoyed serving and celebrating with us. Thank you Amal for the making my son s birthday unforgettable.

It was our 6 year anniversary, and we decided to go to red lobster for dinner . We showed up around 8 pm we were just getting back from the casino and my wife and I were dressed pretty fancy, thinking red lobster would be a nice place to eat . So the waitresses brought us to our table ,put us right across from a family and there 3 babys that were yelling at the top of there lungs . I would understand if the restaurant was full and they had no other choice but that wasnt the case there were plenty of tables . We didnt end up staying. It was not a nice atmosphere and I would not recommend going there if your looking for a nice quiet place to eat dinner . I would recommend The Keg , or even Chucky cheeses.

The order was wrong. Bake potatoes were raw when served. All seafood was overcooked and tasted like rubber. Will never go back

I recently visited Red Lobster, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel welcome. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual yet special meal. As for the food, it was simply fantastic. I ordered the Ultimate Feast, and every item on the plate exceeded my expectations. The lobster tail was tender and flavorful, the shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the crab legs were fresh and succulent. The Cheddar Bay Biscuits are always a highlight warm, cheesy, and impossible to resist. The service was impeccable as well. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and made sure our drinks were refilled and everything was to our liking. Overall, Red Lobster delivered a great seafood experience at a reasonable price. Whether you re a seafood lover or just looking for a great place to dine, I highly recommend giving Red Lobster a try!

It was 8:30, and the restaurant was close to empty, and our order took 45 minutes to arrive at our table. The clam chowder was lukewarm, and the grilled shrimp on the tacos was cold. The steak was also overcooked. Dietary restrictions: There is a separate gluten-free menu, but you have to know to request it.

I bit outdated but the food is still great

My 2 companions really enjoyed their meals, one had a shrimp dish, the other chicken. I had a lobster tail which was a la carte and 2 sides. It was the smallest lobster tail I have ever seen. I was really disappointed. I could have eaten it in two bites. Thank goodness for the sides and the biscuits or Id be starving right now.

My first time at the Big Red was an exercise in endurance. The Ultimate Feast and Chocolate Cake brought me to the brink, but delightful server Owen guided me to the endzone, and ultimately, total satisfaction. I am full and happy, now I sleep.

I had a highly disappointing experience at Red Lobster yesterday (Saturday May 25th). Unfortunately, the meal was far from what I expected. The mussels were horribly overcooked, making them tough and unappetizing. Despite spending over $120$ on our meal, the quality of the food was extremely poor. The presentation lacked any appeal, and the portion sizes were unsatisfactory. Overall, the entire dining experience was very disappointing. I expected much better from a restaurant like Red Lobster. I hope they improve their food quality and presentation in the future, as this experience has definitely made me reconsider dining here again.

Visit was a dissaster but to be up front, management made it right afterwards. Food didnt arrive for 1.5 hours after being seated and arrived cold, various staff seemed to avoid updating us on the problem, no reasons given, treated poorly which was not normal for this restaurant.

Considering that Red Lobster has always been our go to restaurant we were sorry to hear about U.S. Red Lobsters financial troubles! Thus we decided to support Canadian Red Lobster at Merivale and Meadowlands when we can. However, our meal tonight was beyond disappointing! 3 mingy biscuits arrived at table for two customers and no top up offered. We ordered medium rare steaks with baked potatoes and brussel sprouts. The steak was overcooked and dry. Baked potatoes had obviously been held too long in warming oven and were dry and tough to cut through even with a serrated knife. The deep fried brussel sprouts looked like burnt offerings! This was so off putting that we are unlikely to spend $100.00 for dinner at Red Lobster again.

Slow service. The server was lovely but serving food and drinks took a long time. Had to return the Fish and chips as the both were over fried, seemed more like re-fried. Admirals Feast was also not at all good. We have been going to Red Lobster forever and have never ever been disappointed the way we were this time.

I ve eaten here before so I ve never had a bad experience until today. I have previously used the reservation link on here through Google and every time I would receive a phone call to confirm my reservation. Today I did not receive a phone call. As we were headed to the restaurant we were gonna be about 5 mins late so I tried to call ahead to let them know we would be a few minutes late but no one answered. Our exact timing when we arrived was 6:51 my reservation was for 6:45. Our table was given away just like that! I thought there would at least be a 10-15 minute grace period but the best we were offered was to be put back on top of the wait list. We were seated 30 mins past my reservation. On to dining, I have zero complaints about our food or our server Kayla but we did not receive our complimentary biscuits until the end of our meal when we were getting ready to pay. Every table around us was getting served on time meanwhile we were just sitting there waiting for simple biscuits to come. I mean if you love Red Lobster you know it s like one of the best reasons to come eat here! I just wish we were treated with better hospitality.

Our server, Sayed, was courteous, friendly, and attentive. He insured that my wife, a Celiac, had a gluten free meal.... An enjoyable experience, as usual. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free requirement for a person that has Celiac disease.

However, I gave them 3 star because the section of the restaurant we were seated in was probably 10 colder than the rest of the restaurant ( I had my hoodie on and was still cold.) My mom s Mother s Day feast was cold halfway though the meal- the melted butter was starting to solidify!! NOT WORTH $150.

I normally love Red Lobster and frequently crave the Cajun chicken linguine Alfredo, however the food quality has been getting progressively worse each time we ve ordered from here. This is a picture of the $12 stuffed mushrooms; these mushrooms were incredibly small and very mushy/unappetizing. My $23 Cajun chicken linguine Alfredo was incredibly watery and barely edible. The salad my mom had for $19.50 was supposed to be a chicken Caesar salad there were two tiny pieces of chicken and just a bunch of lettuce, very little dressing. The quality of food needs to drastically improve, especially when compared to similarly-priced restaurants. Altogether I spent close to $75 here and we ended up throwing out most of the food this time round because it was so poorly prepared.

Made a reservation ahead of time and we were asked to wait 40 minutes to 2 hours after we arrived. It wasn t just us but several others! Very unfortunate that a simple call couldn t be made ahead of time to advise us of the delays and offer us the choice to cancel our reservation.

I visited this red lobster location with my family today, and I have nothing but good things to say. The food and atmosphere were amazing. The service provided by Angela, our server, was outstanding. She was funny, warm, and very attentive. I will definitely return to this location.

First time visiting this restaurant. It was for my birthday celebration. Upon arrival we were lead to a table that was given to someone else so we stood in the middle of the restaurant waiting for the hostess to figure out where she would seat us. Server was very polite and courteous. Ordered shrimp and fish and chips and waited 40 minutes for our food. Our server did apologize for the delay and kept bringing us bread.The food was delicious and hot. My last shrimp dish was brought out when we were ready to leave. We sat with empty plates at the end of our table waiting for our bill. When we were asked again was told it was because of a larger table coming in. Again our server was very kind and took care of us when he could.... seems like a lack of staff or management. We may be back at a less busy time when we arent treated like a after thought. Thank you.

The didnt impressed me at all. I went to red lobster 10 years ago and it was great. This time I decided to get the Combo Langouste and lobster tail. The langouste was great but the lobster tail was overcooked and dry. The garlic butter didnt taste much garlic but the shrimp linguini was very good. Green beans wasnt fresh and ( seeds to be frozen) Overall I did like my dinner but for the price and the quality of the food, its not worth it. The service was good. Got everything we ask without waiting too long.

Went here for a family dinner and also to celebrate a double birthday. I am not sure what the policy of the restaurant is about the birthday song singing and free desert but on two occasions at this same location, we were not offered the free desert and the birthday song singing even after we made the staff aware of the birthdays. Particularly weird was situation where other tables at the same time got the free desert and the staff singing birthday song. The service staff should have at least let us know the reason why we are not getting the free desert and the birthday song singing. Next time we would know what to ask for. The food was great, the service was great for the food we ordered but the whole experience of choosing to go to this restaurant on a birthday was disappointing. This happening twice was truly disappointing.

Amazing seafood restaurant and nice staff

As a uber driver or even a customer would never suggest and come here. The staff is so rude and arrogant. Specially the bartender. I went to pick up an order, and when I asked if I could get an update they were so rude and arrogant about it. Very discriminative on the restaurant part. Just hope they are not the same with customers dining in.

Made a reservation for 645, we got stuck in traffic and tried to call to let them know we would be 9 minutes late but couldnt get through. We arrived and was told our table was given away. The hostess said nothing could be done and would add us to the wait list. I asked about the policy on giving your table away as most places give 15 -20 minute grace period, and she said, I dont know. I worked in the service industry for 12 years and was just astounded. We waited around 20 more minutes for a table. Our server Kayla was very nice and took our drinks and gave us recommendations. However, we didnt receive the biscuits until we finished our main meal, Kayla explained that the kitchen was backed up. Almost an hour after being sat, we finally received them but had to take them home. Dont blame Kayla at all, but it was just an overall bad experience.

This was my first time at Red Lobster and the staff was welcoming. The fact that the very first thing that you see upon entering the restaurant is a lobster tank really cements the restaurants name. The maitred was kind enough to let me take a picture with one. Our waitress was Katarina and she is quite adept at her job. I had the Lobster Lover duo and boy do I love those lobster tails. The meat was cooked perfectly and the rice was delicious. I do wish I had a little extra rice for the price I paid. But nevertheless, the biscuits were fresh and delicious. Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. I appreciate the unlimited biscuits.

Dear fellow foodies, First of all, the experience of going to Red Lobster on Merivale remains similar to my childhood. The highlight of the evening was our wonderful waitress, Larissa. She was on the ball on refills, napkins, and the food came out well timed. She was amazing and made the experience memorable. I do have 2 criticisms to say and bring up. The first was my Cesar salad... please correct me if Im wrong, Red Lobster !! But gone are the days of sardines in your cesar dressing?? It kind of tasted like a pre made bottled dressing... not home-made Cesar dressing like i remember ( have not been in a while). My final is the fish ( from fish and chips ) the batter was soggy and had very little crisp. I want to believe that maybe the oil in the fryer was not quite hot enough... however, I do feel that maybe it was frozen battered fish and not freshly dipped In batter and fried... again, I hope someone will respond to this review and correct me if Im wrong. Final note.. I have zero problem with frozen fish from the grocery store. Because of Larissa I will come back again.

Food is great, but the service is lacking. Front desk receptionist are not truthful or transparent with wait time. It is evident that there s no available table and they told everyone that it would just be 15 minutes. A pure chaos at the front.

It s not the way it used to be. Prices are way higher and food portions very small. Will not be getting food from red lobsters in future.

I ordered the blackened chicken linguini alfredo for dinner, and while the pasta itself was cooked perfectly, the chicken was quite bland. I wanted to add crushed red pepper flakes for more flavour, but surprisingly the restaurant didnt have any at all. Overall, it was still a good dining experience because the server was super friendly and checked up on us often. The dining room was spacious enough that it didnt feel like the tables were crammed together. We actually got a booth, so it felt that much more private. Update (2024-03-13): Todays experience wasnt the greatest. After ordering the endless shrimp deal, it took 40 minutes to get our food. Twice, the server said Your meals will be ready in a few minutes, but we had to keep waiting and waiting. When the food finally came, the server apologized profusely, saying they were short-staffed on cooks. Tastewise, the shrimps were very tasty. I guess good things come to those who wait? Lol. I ordered coconut shrimp, garlic shrimp, and salt and vinegar shrimp. I found the salt and vinegar shrimp was a tad on the salty side, but definitely still edible. I would still recommend eating here, although be prepared to dine for at least an hour to an hour and a half.

In my experience . Red lobster at merivale hasnt updates their interior for atleast a decade. It feels very old and somewhat needs a change. Same can be said about staffs behavior and lack of excitement/enthusiasm which is appreciated by customers. Definitely a great place to go if you crave seafood. Check our their daily specials. I love Mondays for the all-you-can-eat shrimp $25. The new flavour salt and vinegar shrimp are very tasty and I believe it comes with a Ranch dipping sauce. My other favourite flavours are the coconut shrimp and garlic shrimp. You always get their tasty biscuits and I really like the bottomless strawberry lemonade. Parking: In a medium sized strip mall next to TD Canada trust so plenty of parking available. Wheelchair accessibility: All on ground level with wheelchair accessible door entry.

Red Lobster in Ottawa provided a delightful experience, especially with the Endless Shrimp offering unlimited varieties of six different shrimps. It was a joyous occasion with friends, enjoying the delectable seafood. The staffs service added to the positive atmosphere, making it a highly recommended spot for those seeking quality seafood with great company.

I always love eating at this restaurant. I have noticed that they don t send the biscuits out as quickly as they used to. We were sitting and waiting for other members for arrive for quite some time with only drinks and weren t offered the biscuits. We finally got the first round(1 biscuit per person) shortly after ordering our meals. Upon finishing them we repeatedly requested another round and it only came after our meal was completed. Still love the establishment, the food was great and the waiter was friendly.

For seafood lovers, it s great! However, the prices increase every time we go there!

Waitress are rude after paying the bill, 3 to 4 times asking for cup of water me and my wife to get it finally.
