The best fries and poutine I ever had in Ottawa. Cheese on the poutine was very squishy like it directly come from the factory.

Best chip truck ive ever been too. Had an hour to kill and wanted to grab a bite to eat. This is parked in the parking lot of Canadian Tire and I was looking for somewhere to eat outside of the normal chain resturants. Took the chance on this spot and I will 100% be back. Parking: Massive open parking lot for free right infront of the food truck.

Ummm, bacon double cheeseburger, anyone. Wow, this thing is incredible! At $13.50, this is money well spent. Fresh hand pressed patties cooked on a flattop. Get ready to stretch your mouth when you go to take your first bite. The pouting is good and has the biggest curds you will ever see on a poutine. The price point on the poutine is a bit much. $8.50 for a kids. They do accept interac, but it cost an extra $0.50 to use. The reason for a four star review is because the price of the poutine and the additional cost to use interac(debit). Otherwise, a great little stop to the day when hunger strikes. Parking: Massive parking lot. If you can not find a space, then something is very wrong.

First time trying..Im a bit of a gravy snob..but decided to try and they didnt disappoint. Fries were crispy...Sweeky cheese and gravy have a good flavor.. you get your moneys worth. They as well as customers were very friendly. I will recommend and I will be going back..good job guys.

Hey!!!!!! Other so called poutine places. Yall need to take note. See how theres cheese on there.....not just cheese but real cheese curds?? This is how its supposed to be done. Cheese curds on the top and the bottom with a nice dark poutine gravy. Hands down thee best poutine in Ottawa Gatineau and Ill see you on the battlefield if you disagree. Prove me wrong. The worst thing about winter in Ottawa is that this place closes. If they doubled their prices to stay open, Id pay them. Ive been going here for over 2 years now, and it is still hands down the best and most consistent poutine (and chip truck) Ive ever tried. Ive tried many many poutines/chiptrucks in Ottawa, even several popular places in Montreal, and this is still my favorite. The crispy fries are what makes it for me. The jalapeno poppers also slap. Honestly everything does. Go here.

We came here once before, and it was a solid 4-5. This time, however, it is a two. My boyfriend loved the poutine, sadly I found the fries to be rather bland and not worth coming back to, especially for the expensive price.

Wonderful person. Only went once last fall yet she recognized us and asked about our lives! She is a beautiful person! Delicious food, a million times better than what was at the poutine fest! Prices were raise by almost 5$ then they were last year, 20$ seems to bit much for a specialty poutine. Great food just very expensive!

Ive been eating here since the old man JP still had his truck there while I worked at the old Marks location. Now my stars relate more to the hours... Now man are the hours ever not friendly for someone who works a nice to 5 and tried to speed to get there just to find out that even a few minutes before closing they are gone. Also on special days if you are closed ... At the very least update your voicemail for someone thats proactive enough to call ahead and check... This happens to me more often than I actually get to eat the food. The food itself if you can get there I time is good... Pricey but good and the quantities equally good. If there would be a good chip truck in the West End other than this one... I sadly would have stopped coming a while ago because of the hours... 7pm everyday (or at the very least Saturday) would be better and 6 on the Sunday.

By far the best poutine in town. I always get a specialty poutine (a favourite is insanely hard to choose, but I m currently eating the pulled pork poutine and it s delicious) my girlfriend always gets the regular poutine. We both love the food so much, and the service is the friendliest in the city. Don t go anywhere else, these guys are number one!

I have been coming here for lunch 1 or two times a week since summer started, and the fries live up to the namesake. Hands down the best chip truck in the city. I keep coming back for the awesome poutine, and the girls are always super friendly. Lunch time can get pretty busy and affect wait times, but its well worth it.

Crispy chips has the best portioning and taste of poutine in town, size of the curds they put in it can t be beat elsewhere. Crispy chips is hands down in a league of their own.

This is a chip wagon. I only ordered the original poutine there. The sauce (I think its gravy) is thick and tasty. The fries are crispy and amazing, and the cheese, there is alot! By the end, there is alot of cheese remaining. The only feedback for improvement, which is very minor, I have on their poutine is that the cheese doesnt melt easily. Considering what you get for the price, its a very minimal complaint. I will definitely be back to this place.

Chili cheese dogs were horrible. Soggy, poor tasting and overly spiced old tasting chili. Also not cheap. Would have only given one star had it not been for the poutine which, although on the pricey side, was quite good.

Fries at chip wagons are just the best. The lady up front was super friendly and enjoyable to deal with. Sorry couldnt catch her name at the time but she was handling the front cash and orders.

Always awesome , one of my goto places. I think one of the few trucks that accept most of payment options . Finally they opened and I went their for their speciality poutines. Portions are awesome and fries they use are amazingly crisp. Every poutine lover should try this place out. They are also one of the few places who have kept their prices consistent.

BEST chip wagon EVER.

We wait not-so-patiently every winter for the warm spring air to come around so we can make the drive to now-open Crispy Chips to have a poutine after our winter hibernation. Pictures below are their medium poutine (there may be missing a few bites we just couldn t resist before we drove off!) We love their dark & thick gravy. They certainly live up to their name with some of the Crispiest Chips I ve ever had. Big, squeaky curds - just the way they should be. Pictures were taken after a 15 minute drive and they were still hot, crispy, and every bit delicious as it was fresh from the truck. They are only allowing one customer in to the ordering area at a time right now, for safe and proper distancing. They now are also offering debit - but obviously cash is king. They are also allowing call-ahead orders. Super friendly people always working the window - I ve always left with a smile and they have yet to make a mistake in any order. They even always offer my little one a special treat (and they always ask the parent first - which is ALWAYS appreciated!) I recommend them to everyone because they truly do have THE BEST poutine this side of the River. If you haven t had Crispy Chips you must go - they usually update on their Facebook page if they sell out early or need to be closed. Otherwise, get in your car and get over to that Canadian Tire parking lot, and enjoy a poutine that satisfies the craving, every time.

Ive seen these people drop freshly cut fries on the floor, only to pick them up and put them in the fryer. Stay far away if you value your health.

Best poutine in Ottawa. The ratio for their poutine is on point. Biggest and freshest cheese curds on a poutine around. Only thing is they re not open in the winter. New season arrived their poutine is better then ever Cmon summer!

Some of the staff that worked there were bashing to customers about other food truck around them, probably really insecure about their own food. The food truck next door was delicious and cheaper 10/10 recommand the other trucks fresh eggrolls and poutine as well ! Overall, respect tastes better than anything this food truck can serve.

Coming from Northern Ont where poutines are a religion, this poutine is amazing. The cheese to fry to gravy ratio is on point. And to top it off the mozza sticks are the best Ive ever had, not greasy, crispy and melty in the middle. Our first time here sure wont be our last. On top of it the lady behind the counter was just so bright and bubbly. 1 more thing! I never ever knew ai liked pogo sticks until now! Yummy!

Crispy chips is THE BEST. Theyre my Friday lunch treat for myself. The burgers are fabulous, the poutine is fabulous, their customer service is fabulous. It doesnt matter how hot or cold or busy it is the lady who takes orders is always friendly and smiling. If you havent eaten here do it. Anyone who left them a poor review is probably a competitor. Tried for the first time today and it was amazing! Best poutine in Ottawa. They are very generous with the cheese curds and the gravy is nice and thick.
