I visited here on June 17, around 4pm. I met the 2 best male workers. Cook and cashier. They treated us very kindly and gave us the best service. They deserve a raise haha!

Fast paced and they re open until 3am!

The quality of service and food has been consistently dropping. Its become something I started to avoid, which is really unfortunate because I want to love it.

Don t waste your money they give you DRY food even if you buy for extra sauce and write in comments for extra in the food they will refuse to do so, they make it dryer if that s even possible. buy elsewhere

Ordered 5 items, only received 1 but was charged for all of it. Uber Eats, the e-receipts, and the amount charged to the bank all correlate with what we actually ordered. They sent us a single item. Might try ordering again in the future, and will adjust this review then. The single item we received was meh.

Reasonable and quick Thai food. The resteraunt is clean and the staff is friendly. Our favorite is the green chicken curry. Ample parking is available.

Tom Yum chicken Soup Disappointment Ive been ordering here since 2017. My recent Tom Yum soup order fell short. The broth had barely any chicken far less than usual. Disappointing deviation from their usual standard. Check to make sure you have a chicken in it. Mine had only 1/5 of what I usually had

Picked up a chicken pad Thai medium spice level this afternoon. It was absolutely delicious!! Very very good Pad Thai. Very good portion size as well as great taste! I will be back!!

Horrible take out experience. I received my order at 30 min of my pick up time. I stood over there for while at counter, even called but none attended me for a very long time. Of my order wasn t placed and paid without uner, I should have left. And they were not wearing proper hair cover.

Used to be so much better, I just bought fried rice with basil and beef as a takeout. Of course I couldn t taste it until I came home and what an unpleasant surprise. Simply put, rice was burned and the whole meal was very dry. For$17.34 tip included..

I ordered for take out very spicy vegetable fried rice and I received sweet rice, taste sweet there was no spicy flavour at all. I have never eaten this kind of rice before.

Thai Express have usually offered high quality food in different locations but there is something wrong with this branch. Ive ordered on 2 separate occasions and both times the food either was not eatable or made me feel sick afterwards. I am contemplating whether to report this to related agencies. There needs to be an audit for the safety of their food.

Today 15 Dec 23 I order a Tom Yum mini & a general Thai pineapple with beef. When we received our order the broth of my soup was collected in the bottom of the bag & general Thai pineapple looked like dogfood & was unpalatable. The delivery person apologized & indicated that was how it was packaged. We will not be using that establishment again!

The food there was great, quick and I look forward to everytime I have a chance to go. There General Thai Chicken is amazing and would 100 percent recommend it to anyone.

Ordered two pad see ew combos and was missing one drink and one veggie roll from one of the combos. On top of that there was a piece of plastic in one of the pad see ews. Would probably avoid this Thai Express location next time. I have ate at many other locations and it has always been excellent. This was not.

Id love to give this place more then 1 star but I cant, I walked in with my family, we got our food everything was normal until we sat down, one of the workers decided to follow us and sit right next to us wouldnt have had a problem with this if it wasnt for the fact they smell like hot garbage, like honestly who wants that next to them let alone handle your food, I think I made myself clear hopefully this helps everyone out

This place is okay but just barely okay. If you re desperate for a quick pad sew, have at it. Just don t expect to be amazed. Also, prepare for more ice in your fountain cup than you ever dreamed possible.

THIS IS THE WORST THAI EXPRESS IN OTTAWA!!!! I payed nearly double for extra chicken and noodles .. and the food I recieved could fit in the paper boxes they give for regular price. This is the 3RD TIME out of 3 times this is happening. The cook staff also dont really care..Honestly, if you want better service, to get what you pay for, and more friendly staff, order from literally any any other Thai Express in the city!!

We just ordered a mango salad and 2 shrimp spring rolls. The shrimp rolls were disgusting and premade. The rolls and mango salad had brown, wilted, stinky lettuce inside with 2 tiny pieces of shrimp and a mixture of old brown cilantro and mint. The mango salad had dry slices of mango, cilantro and a tone of BROWN, STINKY LETTUS. We got a refund right away and I reported them to corporate. The service you received from the cashier is beyond disrespectful and unprofessional. This place needs brand new staff or it needs to be shut down. DISGUSTING!!!!!

Used to go here and the food was great. Recently I went twice. First time, I got a terrible soggy pad Thai. I thought I would give them a second chance and went back and ordered the same thing. Once again the quality of the food was even worse and the staff were just so cold and dry and unfriendly. Not to mention the seating area of the store has turned into their storage with so many boxes. It looks so bad and unclean. Wont be back sorry

I have visited a few times now, and I work next door. It is always fresh, and tasty. A little expensive but the portion is deceiving. The small box fills an entire plate. 15$ for a pad Thai I can split into 2 meals.

Very disappointed in my visit today. Ordered a Thai soup with beef and imperial role with plum sauce. No plum sauce in the bag, got a chicken soup instead of beef, and the broth may as well have been water.. it was tasteless. Couldnt return it because I was already back to my work site. $18 could of gotten me a sit down lunch at a nearby restaurant if I had the time, so this was beyond frustrating. 2 stars because I only waited a few minutes for the food, but maybe if they took their time I would of gotten the correct order.

Food was average. This his a very gross and dirty restaurant. Washrooms looked like they have never been cleaned. Dirty sinks. Dirty floor. Dirty mirror. Dirty toilet. All the tables are pushed aside and the eating area is filled with boxes. What minimal tables there are need to be wiped down. Badly. Don t go here. It s clear they don t care at all for the customer.

Its my regular to go place for pad Thai, so as usual I went today for some chicken pad Thai. I was surprised to see they are not filling the box to the brim as they used to. For 15plus dollars at least I expect to get full portion not half! I guess I have to look somewhere else for my Thai cravings :(

Rude at the cash. Said I was early for my pickup when I was there waiting 5 mins past the pickup time. Asked for an ETA and was told to just wait and go to the back. I could go on but in short, rude service at cash.

Fast Customer Service

On Feb 2, 2021 around 6pm I went to Thai Express with my daughter to pick her up some dinner. We stood at the cash waiting to place an order for several minutes I unacknowledged. The clerk behind the counter accepted several orders from various at home delivery requests...still not acknowledging us. While we continued to wait we watched him use his gloved hand to touch the various devices accepting orders, removing receipts and closing the cash register. He then used this gloves hand to handle the takeout dishes and the proceeded to use this same gloved hand to reach into the various vegetable bins to fulfill the orders. This kind of practice is absolutely disgusting and the place should be shut down for improper handling of food and clear violation of health and safety practices. Not to mention the fact we are living through a global pandemic that is killing people. I will never ever buy from this chain again. Think twice before you buy from here.

The food was too sweet I guess. Maybe Thai food is that way. Anyway Im gonna try another menu.

Came here to write about the rudeness of the cashier. It seems to be a common complaint based on past reviews. Owner (or someone at Thai Express) keeps responding to these reviews indicating theyll improve and yet I experienced this same bad attitude recently.

Great chefs serving only the best Thai food there is to get! Good social distancing and sanitization protocols and service!

Ive given this place multiple chances and each time its something. Excluding the first time I ordered delivery, every other time something is missing. I always kindly ask for limes and peanuts and this time not only did they not come with my order, I found about 5-6 thick noodles clearly from someone elses dinner. Not awful but this is certainly not my favorite location though.

Terrible customer service. My entire order was completely incorrect: -Chicken Pad Thai- but given tofu (apparently I have to tell them to take this out... I didn t even know it came with tofu) -Chicken Pad Thai- paid extra money for beef and shrimp. Only three small extra pieces only. -Rice wraps order was incorrect. No shrimp given. Guy named Taha over the phone yelling at me because I called back to make my order correct, and putting excuses and arguing with me when I m only trying to correct my order. I expect the owner to reach out to me because I expect this to be resolved. Taha needs a course on customer service. J

My husband love their beef Pad thai and he always added chicken for it as well. Their stir-fry is the best !

Horrible place, ordered from there for delivery through Uber eats, 1 and 42 minutes later my order was canceled.

Nothing express about the food. Waited over 45 minutes. They really need to turn off the delivery apps if they cant keep up. Actually felt bad for the poor drivers waiting and missing all the Friday night business. Also I asked for medium and it was the hottest thing Ive ever eaten. I couldnt finish. So disappointed. First time and no plans to go back.

I like to order the rice paper rolls, but this location often refuses to make one for me unless I pre order on skip the dishes if they re too busy . It s an item on the menu, when I order pad Thai you make it regardless of how busy it is. Also had several employees there be rude to me and in comparison to other locations the quality of the food itself in this one is by far the worst in Ottawa.

I usually love the food but today We had the General Thai (chicken)and the chicken was crusty and dried out to that it was crunchy and hard to chew. There was very little sauce It was Take out so we were unable to send it back. It was as though it was repeatedly cooked. Disappointed

Ordered 2 spicy fried rice. They gave us mild and tasteless fried rice. When I called to complain. He said bring it back I will make it spicy. Like wth, I brought the food for a picnic, he expected me to leave picnic to have him add spice. Poor service. He should have apologised to say the least.

Nice service. No line up at supper time. COVID measures are in place. The place is clean and well maintained. There is no possibility to eat inside, at the time of this review which is August 2021. The meals were prepared in a timely fashion. Be prepared to live a tip before you can tap if you are using a card.

This place is always busy on Friday or Saturday evening, so plan your time accordingly but it is so SO good. The Beef Pad See Ew is my fave. If you dont want Mild but Medium is too hot then you can ask for Little spice which is in between both and they usually nail it.

So disappointed with General (Yellow) Curry. There was not enough curry in the portion. I couldn t taste curry flavour, just like rice & fried chicken. It wasn t worth over $12. The staff were not friendly as well.

I have been to many Thai places in US and Canada. The food is ok, not that great. The place is clean and you get your order quickly. I expected the food to be much better based on the reviews I had heard. This place is located in a strip mall and parking is easy to find.

Staff needs to be trained well. I ordered Vegan Pad Sew, they still ended up adding regular sauce (Fish sauce) instead of a vegetarian sauce. When asked, the cook said, order just says Vegan, does not specify Vegetarain Sauce!!! Like really? This has happened not less than atleast 5 times! I always have to watch them make my order to ensure they prepare it correctly...

While waiting for take out I noticed the cooks not wearing masks and the cashier handling food with no gloves on. I am extremely discounted with the safety parameter they have out in place as it appears they have none. Would give zero stars if I could. Unsafe and no proper food safely for the current times

Quite rude when told they were not taking walk in orders 40 minutes before closing time

The owner/manager dude was handling cash without wearing a mask, and the wait was super long during busy hour. Food was delicious though.

The cashier was not wearing a mask or gloves while handling cash and dealing with clients. Cook took off mask to speak to customer about a change he wanted to his order. Both people took masks off and were only a 2 foot spacing from each other. Cook then made meal with mask around his chin. Never going here again as they dont care about social distancing and mask wearing.

My problem with this restaurant is the inconsistency. One day their food is awesome and the next day its absolutely disgusting. A week ago I ordered Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Both were delicious and made to perfection. Just last night I ordered the same thing and both dishes were barely edible. Noodles were overcooked and turned to mush. Both dishes were also flavourless.. Its like Russian Roulette each time I order. Im getting to the point where Im going to stop giving my money to a place that cant seem to get their act together. McDonalds is unhealthy and pretty gross if youre not craving it but McDonalds is consistent with their quality of food and the way they prepare it. Most fast food franchises are. This place should fall in line. This message is going out to the owner. Ive given you so much of my hard earned money for food that I cant even eat and I feel like Ive been swindled by you. If you are proud of your restaurant and care about quality and care about your customers youll reach out to me so we can discuss things further and rectify this situation. I look forward to hearing from you.

You can wait in line at this location 10-15 minutes without it moving, without being acknowledged while five other staff prepare orders. I noticed the owner just provides a copy/paste message canned reply, which is lame.

Food was good.

We bought veg thai soup from the place. The customer service was good, but the soup is bland and barely has any taste other than salt. We have had veg thai soup before but never tasted it that bland I called them and they offered me a free replacement with a veg tom yum soup.

Wow! We had our work even catered by Thai express and the food was all soo fresh and incredibly authentic tasting. It was delivered promptly and the food came so hot and with everything we needed! Highly recommend!!!

I love the food but for the love of this particular restaurant they CAN T READ THE ORDER. They continually mess up order quantities or additional ingredients requested. Four times now! MANAGEMENT: SORT YOUR STAFF OUT!!!

Catered to everyones needs! We had a party and ordered in many various dishes. I wasnt sure if we should order Thai food since we had one friend with a severe peanut allergy and another avoiding carbs! When we spoke to Ahmad the owner, he catered to us perfectly! Peanuts were served in little packages so it was safe for our friend who was allergic! And for the carb conscious / keto friend - he served Cauliflower Rice in lieu of regular rice! Everything worked out perfectly and was absolutely delicious! I was pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend them!!

staff taking the orders are very rude, almost too rude to believe ! they talk to us like we are in the military or something. They rush us, they dont act professionally, they talk us back !!!! I dont know if I am to be scared of their verbal agressivness and rude manners or just close my eyes and order the food I love ...
