I have to say that I was quite disappointed with my Cantonese Seafood chow mein the portion was big however I had approximately four shrimp 3 squid rings and that was it for seafood the rest was onions cabbage and carrot I did have their soup which I highly recommend having it is so tasty and if it wasnt for their soup I would certainly not go back there again for the service the two ladies are out to lunch one of them was within three feet of me and I had to keep repeating myself which I talk very clear when I speak when my food came I had the Cantonese chow mein in front of me and I said put the ball in front of that but no they decided to put it across the person sitting beside me in between us so I had to move it out of the way... all I can see ladies is use a little common sense and do not ever put your hands serving a dish across someones face

Awesome joint for a spot of Pho. I enjoy the Rare Beef Pho, and often get the shrimp or pork rice rolls. One advantage is this place is close to the office. So I can drop in and the food is always quick. All the food is delicious! Staff are always attentive, even in a Bass Pro Shop hat. Wheelchair accessibility: Might be tough to navigate inside the restaurant.

The restaurant is located in a very convenient area which you can easily find loads parking! The food is served in manners and staffs are very helpful if you don t know what to order. Plus, they have coffee too! A must try:)

It is unfortunate that I have to edit the 5 star review I gave this business 3 years ago to a one-star review. I am honest with my reviews and try my best to be as non-biased and keep my reviews as objective as possible. My friend and I have been regulars here for a few years. We love pho, it is close to home, convenient, quiet and there was a waitress that greeted us on our first couple of visits and she was so genuine, friendly and pleasant that we continued to go back to support the business. My friend does not like the taste of onions but understands that onions add flavour and aroma to the broth. He always asks for no onions, but this particular waitress had modified my friends order to include larger chunks of onions so we can easily take them out before eating. Never was an issue. She stopped working as often, not sure, but we didnt see her anymore after that, but kept going back because it became our little spot. We continued to ask for this little modification despite our usual waitress absence, and we were met with no, sorry we cant do that. We inquired why, and were informed that their owner/manager has put a stop on all modifications. We ordered and ate as usual, did not give the waitstaff a hard time, however, when we went to pay, I asked again and tried to explain that it has always been done and that we are not asking for big modifications to the meal (chunks of onions, as opposed to thinly sliced), the girl at the cash seemed like she could care less about our opinions, and so when we paid, we did not tip this time. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I took my mom on a Saturday, raved about the place, she found it to be meh, average, she said the broth was bland, maybe I set her expectations too high? While there with mom, I noticed the manager/owner being present by the cash/front, talking to people. He smiled at me like a regular customer. Mom and I ate, paid, and left. Friendly, polite service. The very next day, Sunday, I went back again with my friend, he went in first as I was finishing a phone call. When I entered the restaurant, I noticed my friend was standing by the cash talking to this manager/owner. So I thought nothing of it and went to sit down at our table to let the men have their conversation. Before I could sit my friend had called me over to join their conversation, so the 3 of us are standing there in this tiny restaurant. And it was revealed to me that this owner/manager asked my friend as he sat down to have a quick conversation and he basically said his staff had complained about us but didnt say what or why or how, just that he has to also respect his staff. I did not agree with this and told him as much. I was embarrassed and disappointed as I feel we have been nothing but sweet friendly, pleasant, easy going, regular customers and now we are asked to have a talk before we could even sit and order our food. I tried to explain our side od the story but the owner/manager said I understand, but I really truly dont think he did. I am also a manager in the health care field and I would have never approached my clients in this manner. We ended up not staying to eat and have not gone back since. I was going to write a review immediately after, but I did not want to review with emotions so I let some time pass. Within this time, I reflected and I still think we were treated unjustly. I am Asian, but my friend is black. I cant seem to come up with any other reason why the owner/manager did not approach ME the day before when I went with my mom if we were such problematic customers. I feel this manager/owner should have let us sit and eat and OBSERVE us as customers and THEN talk to us after if he felt we were being and behaving in any disrespectful manner. I felt targeted and I felt really bad for my friend. This business is bad business. You dont do this to your loyal customers without reason and without letting us prove ourselves. We have befriended many other owners and managers and waitstaff at multiple other restaurants and it is nothing but love and respect.

Went in on a quieter lunch period. Ordered three dishes and all of them were great. BBT was a little on the smaller end and for whatever reason, the X2 or 3(?) tasted better after reheating it up the next day.

Always mess up my order. Ordered a pho soup, got something else with cabbage. 3 strikes youre out. Will not return. 1$ per shrimp. Soup was cold. Asked for extra thai basil and got less than usual. Charged us for medium instead of smalls

I love this little pho spot in Ottawa. It s great for a quick bite to eat, because the service is so fast. The rolls as an appetizer are very fresh. The small soup isn t small at all. It s large and very filling.

i had a couple great bowls here till the other day i ordered rare beef and meatballs ...... the broth on this day tasted like dish soap the meatballs had casings .... who puts casings on a meatball and the texture was like chewing on a indian rubber ball i was bouncing on the table like a freaking mini basketball .... and one other thing you have to ask for tea then they just pour hot water thrown tea leaves in the pot and give you it like make the tea and strain it that always bothered me ..... that dish soap pho taste stayed in my mouth for hours .... never going back if i was yould id go anywhere else

This is genuinely the best place for Pho. The quality hasn t changed in 4 years and it s my go to spot. You owe it to yourself to check out. I really mean it. It s really that good

Very dissapointed. The 2 girls behind counter seemed uninterested at being at work. Ordered Large chicken Pho and it didnt have alot of meat. The soup wasnt very flavorful. Wont be going there again. Kanata Noodle House is 100 times better.

Bitter and watered down iced coffee is super disappointing. The coffee is very important to the experience in Viet cuisine. Pho wasn t bad and tofu and veggies hu tieu not bad either. Just real disappointed about the coffee. It sucks how a lot of pho places are just not at a good standard. Still tipped 20% hope they train the servers on how to make a decent iced coffee.

The soup here is just OK, it is nothing to rave about. They have scaled back the portions even when you ask for double meat I still feel hungry and the bowls are not as large as some other places. Marivale Noodle House up the road is better bang for your buck. Parking: Easy to park.

The pho and vermicelli here is very good. Service is good, there is a young caucasian guy who is also very friendly and helpful. There was a time where I complained about the product and they put my name down for a discount next time I came. I had come to claim that discount but they couldnt find my name (its possible I may have used it already and totally forgot, I honestly cant remember). They did honour the discount tho which was super nice, and legit I didnt remember if I had used it (I dont think I did). Anyway, when we went in, a man kept staring at us and looking at us in a very shameful way which was super awkward and weird. I was wondering if there was smthg on my face but then I realized that was prob why. Very awkward, espeically since Im not trying to purposely get discounts here.

Do not try sushi here! The rice has no taste and so dried. Sushi looks like made by an amateur.

I visited this place after quite some time and noticed that it has been renovated, menu looked different (smaller). We tried the beef meatball pho and thai curry. The thai curry didnt have any flavour, even though it was marked as spicy. We used to come to this restaurant often but will be looking for a new pho place.

Ive been wanting to try this place for a while and was sort of disappointed. It maybe what I ordered off the menu and expected something different. The seafood medley with BBQ beef however there was maybe 4 slices BBQ meat, 2 shrimp and 2 octopus slices in with a lot of noodles (not UDon) the menus not updated also as there are some items not sold now. I guess I hoped there was a bit more to the soup besides what I listed. I asked for bean sprouts and that was given on the side, so I added it to the soup make it have more in it ,besides noodles. The prices are decent for the size $15 a medium bowl. Then added 2 spring rolls $5.50 , these were tasty to enjoy before my soup. The service was friendly but they were more occupied to clean up as it was around 7:30pm and closing within next couple of hours and place was busy so understandable. The server had apologize for the wait and my meal was made up quickly , which was good !

Food was great but staff was super, especially to my kids. After my daughter had her fill of delicious pho, she went to the bar and started chatting with one of the staff that was making drinks. She was friendly and kind towards my daughter. My daughter left the store full and with a new friend and that should be a win for any parent!

My wife and I had a delicious quick dinner in mid-December 2023 at the Ph Thi Noodle Soup Restaurant. While we had been there several years ago as well, I can say only positive things from our last visit. The restaurant is bright and clean; and the staff at the front desk was really friendly. The food really is top-notch: the spring rolls were crispy, and not too greasy. The soups (menu item P5 and P11) were both outstanding. The Ph broth was balanced: not too salty, not greasy, no residue at the bottom of the bowl and with a delicate sweetness. Simply put: delicious!! Whenever I want Vietnamese soup, I will now go there and I highly recommend this restaurant.

The Beef Pho & Crispy Chow Mein are absolutely top notch. The char grilled meat plate is also very good. Owners & staff are very welcoming & cordial. 10/10

Best place for flavorful Vietnamese and Thai food. Amazing service and very reasonable portions. Last 8 years they are maintaining their consistency very well. My kids go to place and they love the PadThai and Sate infuced Pho in here. If you are vaccinated try this place atleast one doing a dine in to appreciate their service.

Craig was an smazing server. It was busy, but he took the time to answer our questions. He was doing a great job greeting the customers and getting the food out. It seems rare to see such good service these days.

Since they changed their recipes, this place is CRAZY. Only thing I m not a fan of is the times that it s open. I remember a few years back there were open until 3 but now it closes early.

Solid spot for pho. The hu tieu was also especially very flavorful, and the ices viet coffee was refreshing. A strong recommend if youre in the area.

This hurts to write this review, Im not sure what happened to the quality of the food but it was significantly decreased. My most recent experience .. I went with husband and daughter. Took us almost 20 mins for someone to realize no one took our food order... (only 3 other tables were used in the restaurant) and 3 were available withnleft with dirty dishes . We ordered the shrimp and pork wrap rice wrap... the pork was so overdone it was gritty. The Boba in the slush were hard and the pho was salty but very bland with flavor. Ive been coming to this place for YEARS and I was so disappointed.

Took my take out order home and saw that they didn t include any bean sprouts. Not happy with this.

I ordered a large soup for delivery and it really did not seem like the size I ordered, very little meat, it literally seemed a small size, 18 dollars for a large size is excessive for what I got home, I called to complain but they did not offer any solution . Terrible service!

My new fave pho place!

Had the Thai Seafood Medley. The broth was light and mediocre. The seafood was super fishy, definitely was not a fan. The portion was small. There are definitely better pho place in Ottawa. The staff was nice and the tables were set up to social distance.

We always get H9 pork and shrimp wontons and their deep fried pork spring rolls. You cannot go wrong with these. Im pretty picky about shrimp but the way they mix it in with the pork, it tastes great!!!

I like this pho place, its great. Its close to my house so I go often for takeout. Only one time the noodles were a bit dry but they offered me a discount on my next order and were super nice about it. Would continue going. Also recommend the tendon. Ive noticed that tendon in many other pho places are hard but the tendon here is really soft which I much prefer.

Outstanding pho place! One of the best I have been to in Ottawa. The menu is small and focused, but that seems to be by design and if you like what they have on offer it is definitwly worth trying. We will still have to go to other Viet places when we want bun bo hue, but if we want pho we will be coming back here - probably very soon.

I ordered the beef vermicelli with spring roll and it is delicious! I also love that they have switched their take-out packaging to paper boxes. I would love to see them switch to paper bags as well.

We stepped in around 7:30 right as they were doing last calls. Got the shredded pork vermicelli rolls, and two bowls of pho. The shredded pork tasted more like dried pork floss, slightly grainy texture but flavors were excellent. Soup was delicious, the noodles a little bit overdone, generous with the meat, portions were good, and the service was fast and courteous. Would recommend!

I visited Pho Thi along with my mother to catch up and to have some delicious pho. It was our first visit and we were not sure what to expect. When I entered the restaurant it seemed small and it was quite hot in there. We were greeted by the hostess and she seated us and proceeded to bring a kettle of green tea. I almost left but my mom suggested we switch to a different area (near the windows) and my perspective totally changed (I guess being away from the kitchen helped). I ordered some chicken spring rolls to start and within a few minutes, our order arrived. It was deliciously made and it tasted amazing. We ordered two large H6 (pork pho) and Oh My Gawddd they brought two humongous bowls with a plate with the condiments. The table already comes prepared with 3 different sauces. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the broth tasted fresh, it was not my first time at a pho house but my GOD this restaurant makes really great pho. The staff was very attentive but not overwhelming, the washroom is very clean. I had a really good experience at this place, as always..please support your local small businesses.

Its alright. I think its a foreigner-friendly take on Vietnamese food; broth wasnt nearly as flavourful as it should be and missing important things like coriander and mint. The vermicelli was kind of a miss too, the way the meat was seasoned and marinated was not authentic at all. Its like a watered down version of Vietnamese food for the average non-Asian. Service was okay, but servers could benefit from a bit more initiative.

I have been coming here for almost 10 years. This restaurant makes the best pad thai in all of Ottawa and I have tried many. Their pad thai never gets old it is fresh and always made to perfection. They have undergone renovation and looks even better now. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious I highly recommend them for a first date or eating with friend or family with a nice small and cozy atmosphere.

Had the Vietnamese coffee, it was thin and watery. Worse then Tims iced coffee, not authentic.

So weve been going there for years and generally loved it. However, since the pandemic, theyve cut down their menu to a few options. I will tell you now: its not good. Bring back the old menu. The new sauces are not pleasant.

My favorite local Pho place! They have been doing a great job during the pandemic to maintain the quality of the food they serve. Their pho broth is so flavourful and delicious with the perfect balance of acidity. Extremely satisfied with the take-home pho; beautifully arranged in the bowl and tastes just as good at home. Well worth the stop.

Cant speak for the food, but when we walked in, the waiter pretty much told us that they had no tables. They had multiple 2-person tables open, but didnt even try to make accommodations for us (a group of 3). Im pretty sure the food would be great, but the attitude received upon arrival turned us off immediately.
