Nice little place with good food at reasonable prices. I normally really don't like egg rolls, but the egg rolls here were absolutely delicious. If you're an egg roll sceptic like me, I recommend giving them a try. The fried wontons were also fantastic. I found the chow mein to be a little bland, but everything else was great. The restaurant itself seems clean and well cared for, and the lady at the counter was friendly and personable. Would definitely dine here again.
Went 2 nights in a row because the Ginger Beef was so yummy & crispy the first night ... but unfortunately soggier & chewy the next night. Food is overall good and combo meals highly affordable and best value for a hot meal (you almost get the same amount of ginger beef in a $12 combo meal as you do in $16 order of it though). Service was Wonderful. Asian decor is lacking but it's Simple. Could use a few Artificial Plants to fill Voids in the Room and add some color 🌿.
I usually get takeout from China Boat, and the food is always great. However, I dined in for the first time recently, and WOW! The portion sizes are sweet and the vibe is super chill. The food was cooked perfectly, even a custom dish, and the wait was not long. Beautiful space, clean bathrooms, and very cool staff. I am most certainly coming back soon! For anyone reading, I recommend ordering the lo mein, but ask for it to be crispy/overcooked. It's a big step up from the regular lo mein you get at any Can/Chinese food place.
Some of the best Chinese food on the go in the area. Fresh. Hot. Lots of flavour. Portion size is acceptable but I'd like at least one more chicken ball. Prices are good.

This is a fairly good restaurant! The interior is well decorated and modern with good spacing between tables! The menu is pretty straightforward and has a good variety. Parking is good for the size of the restaurant and reasonably easy to maneuver in and out of. Prices were fair. We ordered a hot and sour soup, spring roll, dumplings and a set combo. The soup was good, it's always good to see a good proportion of BBQ pork and some tofu in there. The flavors were as expected. The spring roll was fair. Nothing super but not bad, very crunchy the filling could have been more various. The included amount of dipping sauce was ample though. The dumplings were spot on, pork filled fried dumplings they also included a choice of various choices. I've never had that before we had the honey garlic but ended up putting soy sauce in there anyways it really is better! The set combo was a chicken fried rice with 2 chicken sides. The portion was huge! The chicken balls were also spot on with a perfect batter to chicken ratio (lots of chicken). The other chicken side was also very very well portioned and had loads of veg and chicken in a delicious sauce.
Back for the Holidays and had a wonderful supper at the New China Boat! The Service was good and fast with drinks and the food was very tasty. I've eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants over the years and this place did not disappoint me. Quality and portion sizes were great for the price. I didnt explore the fancy Chinese food choices but what I did have was very good. Most definitely put this place on your list to try out. Very clean and bright atmosphere also options for larger groups.

Food was okay but I missed the last bit of pizzazz. Somehow almost all Chinese food is the same. There are only a few special exceptions.

Terrible worst I ever had
First time trying and we really enjoyed it. The service is fast, server was friendly and the food portions were excellent. We ordered three K combos and one H. Food was delicious. Had the dumplings and wontons to start 5 out of 5!
Had a combo plate with chicken so guy rice and chow mein 11$ was so good and an egg roll to.
There time schedule is all over the place it never matches there online time, and its almost like they make it up as they go
Got take out a few times-amazing food. Went in table of 5 today. Menus, cutlery and napkins just thrown on the table in pile for us to set ourselves. Asked for soya sauce and salt n pepper. 2 packs of sauce and a tiny bowl with a few salt n pepper packets, for 5 people. When we asked for more she gestured to what she already gave us. Wont bother eating in again but will do takeout again.

We got take out so no rating for atmosphere. I chose China Boat based on online reviews. It was fantastic. The rice was not oily and we had 2 types: mushroom-great and vegetable rice- greater! We will definitely order again! 5 stars
Chicken with broccoli was very good, as was the chicken fried rice. Lemon chicken has too much batter vs amount of chicken but the flavor was delicious.

Excellent food here and perfect service. The chicken fried rice was perfect, as was the sweet and sour chicken. Good chicken nuggets and fries available for littles who aren t interested in Chinese food yet.

The food here is so delicious. And great portion sizes. Chinese food is my husbands favorite. The service is consistently friendly. Vegetarian options: Loads of yummy veggie dishes available. Parking: Lots of free parking.

Quick dinner in the early evening. Good value for money,, efficient yet not overbearing service and great menu. Only the fact that the front room was piled with untidy boxes of product marred the experience. This Chinese Food Restaurant has been a great addition to our area. Their menu is large, the food is always delicious, wait staff are friendly and helpful. Im so happy they are still able to stay in business throughout this pandemic. Highly recommend China Boat!!

The food was great, number 12 (beef and broccoli, garlic ribs) is quite small compared to the other combos. I had this combo and would have liked to have had more beef and broccoli. The prices were very good, it doesnt seem like they increased their prices as most restaurants have. Maybe this could be why the portion was smaller. Otherwise the food was delicious and the company of my family was even better

Worst meal I have ever had at any Chinese Restaurant ever in my 51 years on this Earth ....the oil from the deep fryer was soo bad the food was not even edible and the ice water was just as bad , my opinion dont waste your money .
Boy I so wish I didnt go here. The food is trash. We ordered two chicken fried rice and asked the lady to recommend a spicy chicken dish. She said go with general tao. So we went with that. General tao was sweet. Kind of like honey chicken. The fried rice was more like rice cooked with soy sauce and then fried until it was burnt a bit and then some chicken pieces added to it. I would not recommend this place to even try. Sorry maam. $40 and we left the entire food and she was apologizing when we were leaving after we said no to packing the leftover. The only thing I can recommend here is the Chinese tea and a bottle of water which we also ordered along with the trash. Sorry for being blunt but thats what it is.
Took my Mom & Daughter out for lunch the other day - the food, as always, was delicious! Hot, fresh, flavorful. Cooked perfectly. The woman who was working was very friendly, fast, attentive and just lovely. We were the only ones there - which was surprising! If you havent given them a try, go for it! The prices are great and the portions are substantial.
Had the combo with beef-broccoli, general tsos chicken, fried rice and egg roll. Egg roll particularly good, much better than most in the US, meat and vegetables rather than mostly cabbage. Fried rice was so-so. Beef worry broccoli was pretty good but general tsos was like sweet and sour chicken with some raw onions thrown in, not what I expected at all and not that good. Nice restaurant, though server seemed to be a bit of a know-it-all
We were at the China Boat on September 20 or 21, 2021 passing through New Glasgow during our trip to Nova Scotia. I have to say the food was excellent and the service very quick. There seemed to be a lot of take-out orders as only three tables were occupied while we were there. We were the first customers to enter the restaurant. The only negative thing to say about our evening was the rudeness of the waitress. I do not understand how a restaurant owner can trust an employee like her to greet customers. Every time I asked her a question, she answered me rudely. I had read very good reviews on the food served at this restaurant and we wanted to eat Chinese food that night and that is why we decided to stay and ignore her behavior. We were very uncomfortable with her and I told my husband I would not leave any tips. Then two ladies entered the restaurant and were served the same as us. One of the ladies really didnt like her behavior and asked to see the boss and demanded to be served by the boss. The attitude of the waitress completely changed from that point on and we received better service after this event. We were very pleased with the food served. My husband suggested that I leave a tip anyway as he suspected the waitress was suffering from a mental health issue. Too bad for her and the owner.

Great little spot that opened fairly recently. Wait times are not that long, and food is good. I have eaten here a few times now and every time to food was consistent and quick. Bathroom on site is small but clean (no change table if you are looking for that). I would definitely recommend to try it out if you are in the area!
