We loved the renovations for this great new Italian restaurant which managed to be classy but still maintain sports on the TVs (muted) and an extensive tap and wine list. My 12oz ribeye was tender and delicious and the others were really happy with their pastas. Also, you can’t beat the river front of the Quay.
I come here once a week, everyone is great. Katie is a wonderful bartender, friendly kind, beautiful and her drinks are fantastic. Richard plays live music on Saturday, his voice is amazing, transports you back and is like a dream! Food is fantastic love the spot
A great restaurant in New Westminster on the Quay. A perfect place to enjoy a happy hour visit or sit down for a comfortable dinner. Great view and a heated enclosed patio.
The lunch menu is very limited in choices. There were not many customers around 1pm on Saturday, guess the hype is over? We had prawn fettuccine, chicken wings, mozzarella sticks (not very tasty), and beef penne which was made wrongly, as there's no beef 😂 they decided to give a discount of $4 for that. My peach bellini was tasty, I like it. There was room to improve service, no water was offered. Without the benefit of that location, I don't think I would return to use that service at that price.
I noticed this new restaurant open up and gave it a try, it exceeded my expectations. Staff and servers were very friendly. Food came pretty quick, I ordered the salmon dish and it was on point. I'll try the pasta next time. This place has a really nice atmosphere and great view.
Newly open restaurant at the Quayside. Big patio seating and indoor as well. The prices reflects the portion of the food! Generous 🙂↕️ I love the Prawn Fettuccine from their dinner menu, I’ve had it few times since they opened = doesn’t disappoint. It’s a pesto based with large prawns amazing (if you’re a seafood lover like me) & The steak was cooked to perfection , medium rare and the peppercorn sauce definitely added to the taste of the meat. Shout out to the cooks for these amazing dishes! Cant wait try more 👏
I had the pleasure of having dinner here Saturday night and have to say loved everything about it. Food, service and atmosphere was awesome. The beef penne was so good I just had to share this photo. Definitely coming back, thank you to all the staff for a great dinner experience.
Food quality was way above expected. I’m a new west person and like many adored the patio of old. No changes inside. Would love to see changes there to solidify this place as a year round draw. What we ate: Fettuncine ai gamberetti = Pesto cream based with seafood. So good great taste, very fresh, would 100% get again. Affordable relative to what’s around NW and crave worthy. Pasta con Filetto di Manzo = tomato based with beef chunks, mushrooms. Also super flavourful, a close second and order-again worthy. Beef was a little tough but not enough to ruin. Toast skagen = unique fun and light, sauce heavy. Dilly creamy with full prawns. Would order again but more polarizing than other dishes. Fries = unique, good when hot. Maybe a bit undercooked but I really enjoyed them. Friends said they were a bit sweet. Drinks: Old fashioned = great Itilia fashioned = gorgeous presentation, tasty and what you want from a alcohol forward gin-based grapefruit drink Apparently more pub favourites to come which I think is a needed guilty pleasure of the residents and this locale. Not available at the time of this review. Overall seems like management and stuff care. Growing pains like always but good first impression. Verdict: Eat New West needs to chill out, give it a chance
I miss the bar that was here before, and wish there were a few more menu options. Overall good.
Great place and lovely staff.
Held a work social event here and the staff were just AMAZING! So accomodating and flexible with our needs. We were a crowd of 30 and the kitchen had our pre-ordered meals on the table within half an hour of our arrival - highly recommended using them to others in my organization.
Great restaurant, had a wonderful meal and great drinks. The bartender Katie is also great!
I love Itilia! Great energy and Katie is amazing behind the bar, great drink recommendations! Love the vibes
Great vibes and terrific food. It s thee go to spot in new west minster would highly reccomend
Had a great time at Itilia Kitchen and Bar, excellent food and drinks, they have the best cocktails. Recommend this place 100%.
food and drinks are amazing, katie is the best server hands down! she is super friendly and attentive, will definitely be back soon!
Had a wonderful experience! Food was delicious and service was amazing!! Our server Katie was sooo kind and gave great recommendations and service! Will definitely be coming back!!
They make great ceasars. Make it a double!
The food was very good and the steak was cooked to perfection and and the service and atmosphere was amazing and the view was great and the owner definitely knows how to run a restaurant.
Went on Saturday night music was very loud. I asked to have it turned down and he did. However 5 minutes later he cranked it back up. Could barely hear the conversation at our table. Will not go back until the weather warms up and we can sit on the patio.
We came for a family lunch. It wasn t crowded at all and we had good table for the ten of us. We had pizza, salad and chicken dishes. Some of us had grilled salmon. Food was good but the ambience was even better for our group. It was blustery day and we had no rush. The staff friendly and the service was good. There is underground parking in the building next door. So, it was easy. Parking: Underground parking below the hotel. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp up to the restaurant.
Seafood fettuccine was strugglebussing- little to no flavor, pasta was not fresh and overall really disappointing for the price. The Italia cocktail was nice (and pretty), the service was totally fine and the location is lovely.
Avoid. They should probably remove the kitchen from their name, given that they serve wildly awful and overpriced food. Undercooked pizza dough, pre-ground parm, and countless other cut corners or incoherent choices.
Great service and experience and I will definitely come back. I highly recommend for everyone to visit this place with beautiful river view. 5 stars for everything.
Pasta was awesome. Flavors are even better. Service was perfect. Prices are decent for being right on the water front.
I read the reviews before going, I lowered my expectations and was determined to be extra Patient with the server staff . There are not a lot of good restaurants in Westminster, especially once with such a spectacular view of the river, so I was really rooting for it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. When I received the menu, I noticed that it had tomato sauce on the paper part of the menu which turned me off, so I figured I would just order a pizza. The dough was tasteless and soggy the tomato sauce had no flavour , my partners, chicken penne, equally disappointing the chicken was grislely Thigh meat and inedible . The young waitress Hovered around to ask how the food was, and as I tried to explain our displeasure with the chicken, she walked away. I don t think this was intentional just inexperience, and Possibly a fear of dealing with potential conflict. My advice to the owners is rethink what you re offering. You re obviously not pulling this off. Focus on the positives, you have a spectacular view amazing ! if you wanna make it , offer quality ingredients? How hard is to make a crispy crust ? How hard is it to make the tomato sauce flavourful ? anyways disappointing !
Asked for a ribeye medium rare. I am on carnivore so no potatoes no vegies. First bite no seasoning. Cooked medium. Worst part they cut the cap off the steak. $55. The waitress was fabuous but there is a problem in the kitchen.
We travelled from hope just to eat some good food . We reached there by 10 and it was closed . It shows open till 1 and we called and checked also . The server said it open
0% service on Google it s says they close at 1am but when we went in the restaurant they said they are close already at 11:30 -
Walked in and should have known this would be subpar when we didn t get cloth napkins. Nobody surrounding us ordered food. Overheard table next to us say we only came for drinks the appetizers were good. We ordered bruschetta. Two of us ordered the penne and both dishes were horrible, i ordered the beef penne and the meat was cut up into bite size pieces. Worse, there was this off putting smell. It was so bad, I could not eat it. Other guest ordered chicken penne and only got two pieces of bite size chicken , said food was bland. I sent my food back but was still charged for it. I told the server that I would not pay for this. Thankfully she took it off the bill. I would not recommend this place.
Another lovely afternoon, with great service and well made drinks!
We went last night and we really enjoyed the live band that was playing. The service was excellent and the food was tasty. I really liked the salt and pepper wings. I also appreciate the extensive wine list as I am not a beer drinker. Its so nice to have a place right on the water with a heated and covered patio so we can enjoy the views even when summer is over. I look forward to catching a hockey game here since they said that they would be playing the games with sound.
Good people, delicious food, and great vibes abound at Itilia! Located at the Quay, the staff is friendly and inviting. The food is great and the drink specials are killer! I m partial to the prawn fettuccine, and Aperol Spritz.
Great time sat at the Italian kitchen & bar. The staff was awesome and the bartender made us some very fine drinks .
Great food and amazing staff. Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Itilia. Keep up the great work and I hope you guys stay around for ever!
The food was amazing excellent atmosphere!
We have been to this lovely restaurant several times. Each time the food was excellent both tasty and well presented. The servers were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning. Parking: We do not use parking as we walk to the restaurant. However there is underground paid parking right next door in the hotel.
The new owner has transference this place to a an excellent combination of a fine dining and pub culture. The food was perfect, and the service was fabulous. Highly recommended.
amazing food, great service, kind staff, clean bathroom & mesmerizing view
Chicken Pizza was amazing
Valid service perchance
Had an awesome night with my friends and our server Sydney was amazing:) Definitely recommend going here!
I recently dined at Italia Kitchen Bar and it was a fantastic experience. I tried their mushroom burger, which was delicious juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the live music added a wonderful touch to the evening. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the overall dining experience even more enjoyable. If youre looking for a great meal with a vibrant ambiance, Italia Kitchen Bar is definitely worth a visit!
Our server, Sydney, was very nice and helped out our 20-person reservation. The food was incredible, had nice portion sizes and really flavourful. Would recommend perchance.
Went in for burger and fries ordered the mushroom burger but requested no mushrooms some got the burger with cheese lettuce and tomatoes and pickles and fries with cup of coffee service was good and food was good. Bo complaints
Server was polite and friendly. Both my salad and my pasta were great! Loved the desserts - particularly the lava cake. Will go back.
Went in to check out the newest spot in New West. Had a Steel & Oak Red Pilsner on their patio. The patio is incredible and the bar was packed with people having beers and chatting. I ve heard they re doing live music and sports so I ll be back to check that out. They also have Fernet, so I love it
Had a beautiful impromptu dinner here after our movie & loved the vibe on the patio next to the river. One of the best pizzas I ve ever had!
Really appreciate the professional, friendly service. The food offered was well prepared and satisfying and they were conscious of any dietary requirements. Any adjustments to the menu were items were accomodated. As they have only been opened for three months, the menu is limited but the owner is looking to gauge the clientele and see what additional items he will add in future. We look forward to our next visit.
Drinks are overpriced. The caprese salad is disappointing. The prawn fettuccine was delicious. There was a bat flying around in the restaurant and the server forgot about us we waited forever to see the menu for dessert.
It has been my pleasure to have a dinner at this wonderful restaurant. Great services, friendly and delicious food with a fair prices. A wonderful view make beside the river it make you feel to have a special time. I do recommend everyone to try.
Julianna is a sweetie, wonderful personality The chicken penne was delicious & scampi on garlic bread. Thank you for a wonderful dinner W&V Compton Food : 5/5
Poor service, not the waitresss fault clearly she needed more training. The food was inconsistent, half our group enjoyed their food half didnt. No additional parm cheese or pepper was offered. The wine we chose was good but served in wine glasses right out of the washer with water droplets still in them and the mains came fast on the starters and salads with little room on the table to accommodate all the plates. It was a quiet Sunday night, we were a group of 5 adults. Such a good location but they have a lot of work to do.
Great place to eat on the Quay. The pasta was amazing and our server Katie was immaculate
Our server (Katie) was friendly and professional. Pasta dishes were fabulous & the cheese cake was delicious Food
We were very disappointed in our meal and especially with the service. The staff need to be properly trained. Bococinni salad was the only good part of the meal. Food
The chicken penne was decent, not too big, not too small. The lava cake was sooo worth it. Ill defs be back
My first time here, what a wonderful place. Had the Ny steak it was cooked perfectly, go judge it for yourself. Wonderful staff would recommend to anyone. They also have daily specials, they have the best chicken wings. A must try chocolate lava cake.
Mateo was a great host. Friendly and informative. Thanks!
Very surprised by how harsh some of the reviews here are. My family and I had a lovely lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon last weekend. I had the seafood bowl, which was delicious. House lagers were 5 dollars and were lovely and refreshing. Prices are reasonable, food is good, service was good, we will definitely come back.
Food was good and the server was professional and friendly.
The food when we went twice for the happy hour menu was GREAT but it s a pub style bar who is trying to be a high class restaurant. The patio always only has a few tables busy in the early evening with people because of the three menus! At 5:30 we just wanted a burger or fish and chips and then to walk over to the movie, not a $55 steak dinner sitting on a patio or inside with pub atmosphere. If I m going to pay for those prices I want table cloths and a candle not sitting on the Quayside with kids, dogs and occasional street people. Change the menu so you have a choice from high to low and we will be back. Thanks. Parking: Parking or walking it s a great location but needs to look at who will support it with that menu
I give this place a 4 star because the pasta was undercooked but the server charmaine was awesome and I loved how there was a nice view in front of me.
We were seated on the water side of their deck, maybe 10 guests in the entire restaurant this beautiful afternoon. There was a steady stream of tourists and families out front enjoying a riverfront stroll. Reservations were not needed. Our waitress was pleasant enough but absent minded. Drinks were Ok but certainly on the higher side for an Aprerol Spritz. We ordered our meals but food was very slow coming out of kitchen. When our meals did arrive we asked twice for cutlery and napkins. The delay was about 8 mins. My skimpy piece of salmon was the saltiest meat I ve ever had, fries the same. Unfortunately there was also a distinct smell of garbage washing over our sitting area on the deck. We were unable to locate where the smell was coming from. Paying at our table with their machine took forever as the machine stalled for the longest of time looked for a wifi connection. Lastly be careful using CarPlay maps as Siri got confused over the restaurant name as it s very close sounding to Indian Kitchen downtown.
This place a nice place to chill out over drinks with a quayside view but definitely a not for food. Ambience is good but what s the point when food tastes bad!! Pizza topping did not tasted upto the expectation and was soggy because crust wasn t cooked properly. Pesto pasta was too bland to taste, did not taste anywhere near to pesto sauce/oil pasta. This wasn t the first time I have been here and tried bruschetta pomodoro which was again soggy and Scampi prawn were way to oily were again not upto the mark appetisers, visual representation of food is one of the crucial point but doesn t matter when its not tasting delicious. Posting a detailed review because was asked for it! Feedback are for improvement not to offend anyone. Appreciate all the hard all the employees are putting to serve their customer and have no complains regarding it. The part where major fall backs can possibly be was taste of food and hope it matches upto to the expectation. This is not the only italian restaurant in the city and to stand out among those some improvement are certainly needed in terms of taste of food which was nowhere close to authentic !
Appreciated the Chef making a pasta sauce from scratch for me since I cant have garlic and onion. Halloumi and the green salad were delish also. Our server was lovely too. Prices are a bit high for the quality but Im really there for the patio, and Boathouse is more expensive anyways. Plus I think they need to charge more than Paddlewheeler if they want to avoid the same fate. They have specials every night of the week I think. Tuesday was $2 off salads and appies and $3 off cocktails IIRC. The cocktail I got was meh. Ill probably get wine next time. Dietary restrictions: Garlic & onion sensitivity - can substitute a white wine butter sauce for pastas
I always enjoy the great homemade pasta, pizza and Italia salads. You must check out the great selection of beer. The orange blood beer in the picture was absolutely delightful with the Italia pizza I had. Always a great place to eat and enjoy a great view of the Fraser River
Our server was excellent
I had an incredible dining experience at Italia Kitchen and Bar! The seafood pasta was delicious, packed with fresh flavors, and the wings were perfectly cooked. The customer service was outstanding attentive and friendly throughout our meal. On top of that, the value for the quality of food was fantastic. Definitely a place I ll be visiting again soon!
Invited a friend for lunch on Saturday menu was nothing much to choose from. There was a so called Italian burger my friend asked what was Italian as this was the servers first day she apologized and went and asked inside. We also asked what else came with the burger as there was nothing on the menu. She returned back a little later and told us there was a special Italian sauce and fries came with it. Well.... let me tell you if this was a so called Italian burger McDonalds is better. My young daughter can cook a way better burger. We then had to ask for salt and pepper to season it. It came back in a little pot which we had to use our fingers. This is NOT hygienic at all. We had ZERO cutlery didnt bother asking after that. My drink was wrong I do not blame the server as she shouldve been properly trained. Therefore you DO NOT see me coming back there. With Italian in my family I would be ASHAMED to bring them over. We were also told as we walked in there was happy lunch hour but our burgers costed 16 bucks our so called Italian burger.
Im surprised by the negative reviews. For the price, the portions are generous, and the pasta flavor is excellent. Dont let the bad reviews deter you give this place a try and support local restaurants!
One bite everybody knows the rules. Undercarriage can be crispier, chicken tasted off, and weird that pizza wasnt served in pizza box. Service was nice but lots to improve on for this one.
Im giving them 4 stars due to the fact theyre new and need to work out some kinks yet. Everything was great except for the food. It needs work. Like a lot of work. I ordered the scampi appetizer. 4 overcooked, rubberized prawns on a piece of bread with more garnish than actual food. Insanely disappointing considering the price. It was inedible.
Had the New York Steak! Cooked perfectly!
We had a great time and great food specially the rip eye and great test pasta and great drinks
The view is great. That s it. Old dirty tables. Average food. Too expensive for what they offer. Not Italian at all.
The appetizers are so delicious, the service was great too! Will come back soon
decided to dine in, it was a little cold for me to dine outside. we were the only ones inside, ordered one drink (8oz) and one beer. my boyfriend said the beer tasted like medicine and my drink was too strong, i find it a bit overpriced for poor quality of drinks, we would ve ordered food but our service wasn t the greatest :(
This place is great I highly recommend
Phenomenal service and delicious Pasta, I tried the Seafood Fettuccine and it was out of this world! Staff was great and helpful in helping me choose what was popular. I will visit again soon!
I love the location of this new restaurant and food was also very delicious, the chicken pizza and beef penne are to die for! 10/10.
My experience at Itilia was amazing! I ve never seen such great service in my life. Our server was helpful and made sure we had the best experience possible. (Extra points for knowing how to speak Italian) The food was delicious and came out quickly. Will definitely be recommending Itilia to all my family and friends.
Had the prawn Fettuccine, it was amazing. Everything was fresh and very tasty. If you haven t tried them it s a must. I will definitely be going back to try the other menu items.
On Thursday July25th I stopped by the New Westminster location and booked a table for 7 for Sunday July 28th. We had guests visiting us from Edmonton so I wanted to treat them. Upon arrival on that Sunday, THERE WAS ON RECORD OF MY RESERVATION!!! There were plenty of tables available, so it did not become an issue. However, this was just the beginning! I understand that this is a new restaurant and they are trying to get organized but the issues we encountered were inexcusable: - From the menu, there were no pizzas available on that Sunday! - we ordered a drink from the menu, later on we were told that the drink was not available! We also experienced: -Long wait time. -The main dishes arrived before the appetizers!! The wrong meal was served and when this was brought to their attention, the same dish came back with removal of one ingredient; - We asked for no cream sauce on the order, but it came any way. Normally, in such situations, the MANAGER gets involved to remedy the problem(s), but at this location, the manager NEVER showed up!!!!. Our waitress was apologetic (she was very good) about the whole thing. Needless to say that it was a very disappointing experience. I would very much like for this restaurant to succeed, since I live in New Westminster. But it will be a long time, if ever, that I will consider going back to this restaurant again.
I went out to try this new Italian restaurant in New Westminster. I was very surprised by the food, I ordered a prawn fettuccini and a bruschetta pomodoro and it was really delicious. The service was good, and the atmosphere was beautiful by the river. The price oversell wasn t too high despite the food.
Came in for a glass of wine and check out the new Italian restaurant but left very dissatisfied. Ordered the happy hour nachos but the cheese was extremely sparse. Very bland and instead of salsa it was served with sweet chilli sauce. Our server was very nice and the manager didnt charge us for the nachos but getting it right the first time would be better. Hoping they do better next time as their in a perfect location.
Where do I start? Well, how about the service. The servers are very nice and have a great attitude. Theyre very friendly and seem genuinely eager to please. However... Our server messed up our beer orders...twice. And it wasnt that she accidentally swapped them, but they werent even the right kind (I hate IPAs). Then they messed up my friends food order. I clearly heard what he ordered, but what arrived was not it. So, he waited while they brought him what he originally ordered, while I ate my mediocre pasta, which filled the hole, but thats it. To their credit, they gave us free beers to compensate for the mistake, but then gave us the wrong beers again. Anyway, I really, REALLY want to like this place, but Im not optimistic that theyre going to figure it out before they go under. I get the sense that they have minimal to zero experience in the restaurant business, which is really hurting them. They need help. Weve lost the Paddlewheeler and the Hub in the last year, so people were really chomping at the bit for this place to open. However, I have yet to see their patio even 1/3 full, even when the weather is beautiful.
Beautiful experience at this new restaurant/bar in new Westminster. From the amazing food and drinks to the welcoming atmosphere I could not have been happier with my experience here. Steak was cooked to perfection thank you . Food : 5/5
Honestly the food wasn t good at all the old pub was way better it s small portions for a big price tag I don t suggest anyone to go here The Italian Bellini tased really sour crespe was g good just salad and 4 pieces of cheese chicken was bad basic food don t go here I left my food after taking 2 bites I really courage everyone to go somewhere else I beg everyone don t waste ur money please go somewhere else
Veggie fettuccine was very good. It would have been nice if bread had been offered w it and I think a nice touch would have been mgmt checking in at our table since they just opened.
Terrible. I visited my son yesterday, who lives in the neighborhood, and we decided to give this a try. The menu is extremely limited and unimaginative. I ordered the chicken penne, which I thought was a pasta dish with a filet of chicken. There was hardly any chicken, maybe 5-6 tiny pieces and the worst part was my son ordered the beef penne and it was the IDENTICAL dish, but with minuscule bits of beef. So unimaginative! The creamy tomato sauce was flavorless and bland. Apparently, the *chef is unacquainted with salt. So, $27 for a penne pasta, about 3oz of chicken and about 1/6 of a small zucchini. I was appalled. We won t be back. It was shockingly bad. Horrible value for the money. No parmigiana cheese offered for the pasta either. There is nothing Italian whatsoever about this restaurant, unless the only criteria is pasta. I felt so sad my son wasted his money to treat me. Piva is a thousand times better. Fire the chef immediately or you ll be out of business once the newness wears off and locals who ve tried it never come back.
the food was yum, scotia was so sweet & very helpful!
I was there today with few of my friends. I loved the huge patio. I wasn t too kein on the food. Not many options for the price. It lacked flavour. We were disappointed in the food today. I really hope the owner amps up the menu with little more flavour and portions. I know it s a new restaurant and I hope they fix the menu.
Welcoming atmosphere, Food was Delicious and scenery around the restaurant is second to none. I will definitely be coming back!
Loved the prawn fettuccine!
Its a nice spot by the river and the server was nice and did a great job but the food could be described as its ok. Its not bad but it certainly isnt great. I wouldnt return as a result.
What a spot... delicious food, great staff. Nice addition to the waterfront! Food
Poor service. Long wait time. Average quality. I do NOT recommend for food. Feel free to have a drink to enjoy the view on the patio if you have enough free time to wait.
Best nachos in town, generally speaking the food was great plus a wonderful service.
What a fantastic addition by the quayside! The service was exceptional, with a very friendly staff. The food here is incredibly delicious, and the prices are quite reasonable. Enjoy sitting on the patio and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere on the waterfront.
All in one! Staff, food, prices, atmosphere and a stunning view are all just amazing!
Best Italian Restaurant. I highly recommend this place, fantastic river view and great service from the whole new team and management.
Great first experience. Food was a little insufficient, but we gave good feedback for how to make it better to the server who diligently noted it down (thanks, Charmane). Excellent service and atmosphere - attentive staff and listened to concerns and positive feedback. Overall, it was a great evening and a lovely time spent.
Amazing Food! Amazing seating on the patio! Loved the service and its the best Italian food in the New West Area
Its a worse version of Piva that is equally priced.
The restaurant location is perfect of course right on the river. I took my Mom here, hoping that having another Italian restaurant in the area would be nice but the prices are so similar to Piva but the food is not great unfortunately. You pay close to the same as Piva so this is a shame. The chicken Ceasar salad was $19, very small, no sauce, cold chicken. I dont leave bad reviews but I hope this feedback can help them improve! Sarah was amazing, great service!
They re new i understand i don t want to be given a dinner menu at 0930 and told after 15 mins that only chicken wings and tenders are available lol .all the best .you ve got big shoes to fit in i miss paddlewheeler
Very disappointed, the brusetta was 1 slice of French bread with some onion and tomato diced. It probably cost them $ 1 and charge 15.00 for it. Try putting on a little balsamic and some feta. The prawn fettuccine was very undercooked . The sauce was OK, but try serving a slice of bread with it . Im very disappointed. Wont return
This location has always been the best patio in New West. Stopped for a beer & a bite, service was good but food not so. No appies seen on limited menu, had the caesar salad which was nothing special & roasted vegetable pizza was very disappointing, especially for the price.
Our waitress was lovely and attentive. I really enjoyed my cocktail that was reasonably priced. Location is nice of course. Food took waaay too long and was definitely overpriced for being pretty mediocre. Our waitress was apologetic and she ended up comping the pasta salad I ordered as it took about 1.5 hours to come out. Id go again for a nice cocktail by the river but not for the food. Photo is of the $18 pasta salad that Id be very disappointed with if Id paid for it. Although, theres huge chunks of feta, which Im confused but not mad about lol.
Stopped in on a Saturday evening thought we d check out the new Italian restaurant. Other than the pasta options on the menu and the odd Italian flag not too sure how Italian it is. The Hostess was awesome. Service was slow. (Hour and fifteen to get food to the table). Ordered the BRUSCHETTA POMODORO I d give it a try 5/10 bread was soggy and looked like it was just thrown together with a handful of olives, PRAWN FETTU 8/10 and SEAFOOD FETTU 8/10. The table next to us had a pizza and it looked good would definitely try come back to give the pizza a try as New West is all about Their pizzas. with two beers the ordered came out to 80 bucks before tip. Parking: Underground parking beside market place
Beautiful location and patio was lovely - cocktail was epic, food was a bit surprising - $18 for a prawn appie but it was one piece of garlic toast with 4 prawns on it. My partner s food came out 35m later. It s their first few weeks so I m sure this will come around and I will try again in a few months.
