Classy Italian restaurant. Good choice for food and entertainment

Made an online reservation for December 14th only to receive a call a month before indicating the venue had accepted private booking for that night. Was offered December 7th as an alternative, however, upon arriving that evening we were informed Piva were hosting another private event and could find no record of our updated reservation. The manager took our details and promised a call back, which also has not occurred. So disappointing after recommendations we had received!

Absolutely love this place. You d think it would be downtown Vancouver, but it s here in New West! The food is amazing and the service has always been good. I can t wait to come back!

My husband and I love coming here for our special occasions. The atmosphere is wonderful and there are not many places in new west that can match it. The staff have always been very welcoming and polite who go the extra mile. The food and drinks have always been good. We have never been disappointed with any of the food options.

We are very fortunate to have Piva as an option for brunch and dinner. Service has always treated us well for date nights, visiting friends, and family gathering of over 20 people! Owners have a fun artistic sense too :) Vegetarian options: At least a couple good options for all meals.

Modern concept for Italian food. Ample parking available underground.

Everything from start to finish was amazing. The hosts were friendly and prompt. One even got me a glass of water while we waited. Our waiter was funny and very warm and helped us make a choice of bottle of while by bringing up tasters - much appreciated. The food itself was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the chef s pumpkin brûlée. Will recommend and will be back!

It was our first time and we loved it. We didn t make a reservation on Friday night and luckily there was one spot left. The hostess was kind to us, server was lovely, food was good with some vegetarian friendly options. And at the end the owner / manager thanked us for coming. It was a really nice experience and we will definitely come back. Hoping they ll add a traditional verde Italian salad to the menu :) New Review: Nov 1, 2024: My partner and I had a wonderful meal here. The ladies at the front were so kind, warm & friendly. The server was super busy but ensured we had everything we needed & the attention to detail at this place is why we ll keep coming back. They folded the toilet paper in the restroom like a hotel does and everything is **clean** 11/10 experience tonight. This owner/ staff go above and beyond.

Let me start my review with acknowledging how pleasant all of the staff was but our server- Giorgio went above and beyond. Amazing food, great drinks, awesome atmosphere and great time. Wonderful food - got the carpaccio - burrata - wild boar pasta - sable fish - pumpkin spice crème brûlée Everything was wonderfully seasoned. The pasta was the star of the night, perfect texture and great balance of flavour. Our server Darrell was excellent, made great suggestions and was very attentive.

Been here twice. Service was spot on both times, aswell as the food. They gave us a delicious free dessert when we told our server it was our anniversary. Highly recommend!

Second time dining at Piva tonight, and it is just as I remembered it. We were greeted by a friendly brunette hostess with curly hair, who was warm and welcoming (I should have asked for her name!) We made reservations for dinner to celebrate my fiancées birthday and our server, Tony knocked it out of the park. He was genuine and timely despite it being a busy Saturday night, and all of his suggestions were on point. Thanks to him, we enjoyed perfectly paired wines with our entrees and delicious desserts. Thank you to all the staff at Piva for creating another memorable evening for us! We will definitely be back soon.

Ive reviewed this place before but I just have to rave about it again. The food is incredible, the service is always stellar and its such a lovely atmosphere, always good music playing. I cannot recommend Piva enough! Its the best restaurant in town! Vegetarian options: The gnocchi and fritters are delicious!

Excellent service and great food.

Recently visited Piva for a business lunch. Food - 5/5. For starters, we had the Arancini, Crab Cakes and Wild Boar meatballs. All of which were excellent. For main course, we had the vegetarian gnocchi, Bolognese and Duck Sandwich. Also excellent. Service - 5/5 Our food actually did not come out for an hour, which normally would have been extremely frustrating, but the staff reached out multiple times to apologize for the delay as well offered us a free dessert platter for our patience. So while the delay was not great, the restaurant took accountability which we can appreciate. Atmosphere- 5/5. Beautiful restaurant. Overall, highly recommend. They have a full vegetarian menu so I will be back for more!

Great italian in New West

Hey, this place is great for dining in, but I wouldnt recommend takeout because the food gets cold and it affects the taste. You gotta try the spaghetti nona, its a must-have. Oh, and the lamb shank is also a featured menu item, served with risotto and carrots. And for dessert, you cant miss the for nona. Its made with fillo pastry, cherry compote, and mascarpone whip. And let me tell you, the calamari is so juicy and delicious, served with a spicy pomodoro sauce. Its the best! Vegetarian options: Veg spag nonna

Came in on a weekend and was quickly seated with not a long wait. The atmosphere is so lively and the service is impeccable. Stephen served us and he went above and beyond with making sure everything went well and that we were comfortable. He was very accommodating and informative with the specials of the day. Food is middling, service is tolerable depending on who your server is. Do not order any wine from them. They start at $14 a glass and its a thoroughly mediocre selection. They go as far as not disclosing the wine list online, unheard of practice for this day and age. The buffoon who runs this place and who sets the wine list is the guy who ruined Sciué. Caveat emptor.

I had the pleasure of being served by Stefan at Piva, and he truly made my experience exceptional. His personable and kind demeanor set a welcoming tone right from the start. Stefan was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. His genuine smile and warmth made a lasting impression, and I would gladly return time and time again just for his outstanding service. A definite 5 stars!

Piva offers a beautiful and calm ambiance with great-tasting food. It can get busy at times, so I recommend calling ahead for reservations, especially on weekends. We tried the arancini and crab cakes for appetizers, the Italian sausage rigatoni carbonara and pomodoro for mains, and finished with the lemon tart and tiramisu sundae for dessert. Everything was delicious, with the arancini being a standout. The service was also excellent, with friendly staff adding to the experience. A great spot for a memorable meal!

Had a great time at piva s. Ambience was beautiful. The food was delicious. And our sever, Miyu, was so kind and attentive. She really made the experience that much better.

2024/10/20 our family had a brunch at Piva for brunch today and amazed by their graet service and food. I had Amalfi Coast Mimosa and it tasted so refreshing. We ordered polenta fries and Cesar salad to share with and individually had pasta, burger and risotto as entries. We spent around CAD50 per person including tax and tips. Its a nice place to enjoy meal with family & friends.

First time I came here a year ago I thought it was good but nothing amazing. However I went back a week ago and it was so good that I ve been thinking about it since. The duck and the vongole pasta were excellent.

Had a wonderful lunch there yesterday. Bolonese Spaghetti with Caesar salad fresh foccacia. We also had the burger with soup. The best part was Tamara, the server, who was delightful and funny. Cocktails were spot on. And, For Nonna served for desert.

Enjoyed a fantastic lunch here over the weekend. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and the food was perfectly prepared. The pasta was a highlight! I am looking forward to returning soon.

One of the best service experiences ever. Nicole was super friendly, and helped us with an allergy issue before our meal. She made our small birthday celebration something very special. The food was great, but the atmosphere and the service were above expectations.

Finally tried Piva Modern Italian and had a wonderful experience. The craft beer selection on tap was solid, perfect for pairing with their delicious food. The arancini rice balls were absolutely amazing crispy on the outside and perfectly creamy inside. I also tried the di mare pasta; while it was a bit salty for my taste, it was still very tasty overall. The atmosphere is inviting, and the service was attentive. Will be back soon to try out their happy hour specials.

Edit (visit 08/01/2024): Went for a birthday celebration. Overall our experience wasnt great. We were a party of 7 and we got the table next to the kitchen, it felt as if the space was supposed to empty and the restaurant intentionally put the table there to fit in all the guests. The bar was also next to it and we could barely hear each other as it got so loud with kitchen and bar. The food experience was same as before and didnt disappoint. We enjoyed the overall experience of the place, it was my first time visiting. Our server is someone who was extremely knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu, drinks and what would the guests like. We ordered a bunch of dishes like Arancini, Calamari, Fried Eggplant, Polenta Fries (My fav.), Dinner Burger, Seafood Fettuccini, Nono (The best), Rustic Italian (Was ok), Modern Italian (ok). One of the things that really highlighted was their drinks as well, their old fashioned was one of the non-sweet drinks I ever had. My recommendation is try their virgin drinks as well for people who doesnt want to drink alcohol. They got a really good collection. My only reason for taking out 1 star is because of slow service, we had to wait quite a bit even for desserts. Rest everything was off the charts.

Located right next to New Westminster station with pay parking. Service is good and toilet is very good. Food is a little bit too salty to us. Recommend their desserts.

Went here for brunch with some friends. Our server was lovely, and service was great. The food was really tasty, but came luke warm & the coffee wasn t hot. Parking: Parking around here is two hours max and it s not the typical apps used.

This place is fantastic! Food is absolutely exceptional and service is top-notch! We booked a table for two, and ordered a focaccia bread with oil and balsamic vinegar, plus an antipasto for two (to share). The waiter told us there was an issue in the kitchen and the plate was brought in after 30 minutes. They immediately apologized, and that meal was removed from our bill. Then we continued with a delicious pizza (Alfredo sauce, prosciutto, onion, Pistachio granola, and blue cheese), plus a rigatoni pasta with sausage Ragù, asparagus, dried tomatoes and cheese. A glass of Vermentino di Sardegna also pleased my taste buds... Everything was literally to-die-for! At the end, the manager came to our table once again apologizing for the delayed antipasto, and personally brought us a free dessert (for nonna, with delicious vanilla Mascarpone). Everything was really amazing. I highly suggest Piva restaurant if youre looking for a fine Italian cuisine, just few steps away from the beautiful waterfront walkway in New Westminster. This is a great place. We choose Piva for special events, celebrations, or just treating ourselves do a really nice dinner out. The food is delicious and the staff are helpful if youve got questions about the food or wine list, and the atmosphere is not too loud but not too dull.

Would never think to check here for brunch, but wow! Amazing fried chicken & waffles (with rosemary caramel syrup, wut!), drinks were great, and server was the best! Service was attentive and kind with fabulous recommendations. Have to go back and get a bene on their house made focaccia next time!

We came in after a long drive to the Lower Mainland and wanting a quick bite to eat before going to the movies. Arrived within the last hour of their business hours and we were warmly greeted and given exceptional service by Tony. The food was amazing. I had the Miso Carbonara and my husband had the dinner burger. Both were excellent and arrived quickly. The dinner burger was the best burger my husband has ever had and it was both reasonably priced and came with both fries and Caesar salad. We were really impressed and hope to come back when we are in town next.

Its a nice place with good food. The Negroni spritz was a good fusion cocktail.

Not a very good experience, the fish was tasteless, the drinks were no flavor and service was not very helpful, we don t think we want to go back there again

We greatly enjoyed dinner at Piva. The food and service is really outstanding! Every meal we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I really suggest the miso carbonara and tiramisu sundae.

Normally I would have given the food a five but the lovely piece of halibut I was served came with soggy pieces of butter lettuce as a side somewhat spoiling the meal

Finally tried this place... and I was pretty disappointed. We took our best friend out for dinner. At this price point, the food should be INCREDIBLE. We had crab cakes to start - at $11 a pop, they shouldve been delicious. But they were bland. When I told the server they were under-seasoned, he told me that the cooks leave it like that so the customers can season it themselves. Huh? I had the bistecca as a main. It was alright, but again, at that price point.. should be more generous with the ingredients. The service was pretty good though, much better than most Vancouver-area restaurants. But its a shame New West lacks variety in great restaurants. Oh well.

For the price food could ve been a little better.

I made reservations for Father s Day and enjoyed my meal. I then raved to my client and she booked a reservation as well. The manager that was on this past Saturday ruined any chance of piva getting a single cent from myself or friends. He literally hung up at least 6-7 times on myself as well as my client. My client is recovering from a life altering accident and has no mobility. She was only trying to find out how much she needed to put on a gift card. The manager was useless and his tone and delivery were unprofessional to say the least. I contacted the director and he was no help. I m so disappointed that he wouldn t even acknowledge the horrible service. He only stated policies and no apology for the horrible service. I understand you have policies as any business does but that s not the problem. I m embarrassed for whomever hired him. That kind of attitude is going to run the restaurant into ground.

Great place for a peaceful meal. However service was quite slow and it took almost an hour to get our entrees. The brussel sprouts were great. The Vongole pasta was also good.

Ordered a steak, served informed me that the chef recommends it s cooked to medium rare . I accept as that s the only correct way to cook a steak anyways. When it showed up it was as well done as you can get. I worked up a sweat just trying to cut through it. When the server asked how everything was I let her know the medium rare steak I ordered was way over cooked and showed her. She apologized and offered to replace it, to which I unfortunately had to decline since we were heading to a movie. I was surprised to see I was charged full price for my overcooked $48 piece of cardboard. Won t be returning.

Very cool place and good Italian food

Been looking for the best carpaccio in the city and I think I found it! I am also now addicted to the wild boar pasta

I knew I was going to enjoy Piva in New Westminster when I perused the menu prior to arriving and knew Id have a hard time choosing what to eat. There were so many intriguing options. We ended up splitting the smoked Duck and Fig Pizza to start. It was an excellent mix of sweet and smokey flavours. We also ordered the Gnocchi Cardinale and the Lamb which came with its own version of the gnocchi and brussel sprouts. Perfect texture on the gnocchi all around. Its a tad bit pricey for what you get, but the service and atmosphere compensate for that. Our server, Brian, was excellent. Charismatic guy, friendly, and was very attentive to our table. We will certainly be back to Piva to try a whole host of other dishes!

Came here for happy hour, was mostly empty at got seated right away. Our server was great really funny and upbeat. We got a few glasses of wine, the happy hour wines are fine. For food we ordered the wild boar meatballs and the arancini. The meatballs were delicious, but the bread in the meatball sauce was magical! The arancini was also very good but extremely hot, be careful on the first bite! For dessert we got the for nonna which was a lovely inquiry way to have the philo and the mascarpone was really light and refreshing. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely come here again!

Great restaurant, great service. I had the halibut with spinach risotto from their spring menu, and it was absolutely delicious! We got a bottle of the 2022 Italo Cescon Il Tralcetto Pinot Grigio Friuli Grave too, which was wonderful, and, I have since discovered while trying to buy it for home, very difficult or impossible to locate elsewhere.

Good food, amazing drinks, fantastic service

Food is alright. They boil their gnocchi so it was a bit slimy. Would be nice fried to give it more texture. Pasta dishes are better than their mains. GF chocolate cake was great but not a cake, more of a dense brownie. Need better children s options. Restaurant is freezing, bring a sweater if you are generally a cold person. Servers were fantastic.

Everyone loved their food and I was very happy with our service. We came in for lunch before my friends wedding dress shopping and our server was so helpful with getting me some things started before everyone arrived. Everyone loved the focaccia and coffee and mimosas. Rave reviews all around. Vegetarian options: They have a helpful vegetarian menu and our veggie friends were happy with the options. They were very accommodating when we asked for the meat from the antipasto platter to be on a separate plate.

My fiancé and I dined in for lunch last week. Our server Meegan (sorry not sure of spelling..) Was wonderful. She went above and beyond to take special care of us. She was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. She brought me a sample of 2 white wines I wanted to have with my Modern Italian pizza. I went with the Pinot Gris as per her recommendation, and it was a great pairing. Thank you Meegan and Piva! We can t wait to come back.

This is the third or fourth time I ve eaten here and each time has been great! But my latest experience is really what prompted me to write this. I recently developed an intestinal issue that prevents me from eating a lot of foods, and so for the past several months I just haven t eaten out due to all my dietary restrictions. Today we were out looking for wedding dresses for my best friend and she made a reservation for lunch here for the bridal party. I looked at the menu beforehand and unfortunately nothing quite met my extensive restrictions. So I called the restaurant the day before and spoke to the wonderful hostess who spoke to a server and they assured me they could make something work when we got here so I could still eat with the rest of the bridal party. Upon arrival the server (Tamara) immediately asked who had the restrictions and spoke with me extensively about what they could make work. We ended up with a spectacular brunch style pasta that was almost entirely custom to fit my needs. I am so incredibly grateful for this wonderful experience!! Not once did I feel like a burden or that I was an inconvenience which was amazing for someone with a lot of food based anxiety right now. Thank you so much Tamara + everyone at Piva!

Went for my daughter s birthday. It was unacceptable to find the bathroom with vomit present, it ruined my dining experience. Ordered the bolognese but sauce was plain and had no flavour. Not the Italian flavour I was looking for. Service was amazing however, waiters are really nice and attentive.

I just had a wonderful dinner at Piva. So I booked this place few weeks ago to celebrate my partner s birthday, and I was very excited and worried since I have never been this place. And.. I can t be happier I have booked Piva for celebration! It was really wonderful and sweetest experience. Our server Megan made our dinner just perfect. She was not only very sweet and genuine, but also very knowledgable. I loved all dishes we got! She was very efficient and thoughtful, I really enjoyed my time there and conversation with her. Food: I got Vongole(pasta), Bistecca, warm olives, focaccia, eggplant. Vongole-I am very picky about the menu when it has clams in it. And I have been craving this dish for a while now. Somehow it s a little hard to find it in Vancouver, and I m glad I get to find it here. It was good portion and flavorful. Bistecca-Very good balanced flavor. Pasta and meat flavor was just perfect. Love it. warm olives- Just get it already if you like olive. I couldn t stop eating. focaccia- A bit oily in my opinion, but not bad. eggplant- Good with the arugula and balsamic on top. Service: Genuine, Warm, very friendly. I loved it because the staffs here are so nice and friendly. Not fake at all. Atmosphere-Good. I liked how clean their washrooms ate. Overall: If you are looking for italian place or want to have good time just come to Piva.

Such a friendly and attentive staff. The food was amazing and the portions are generous. We cant wait to visit again!

My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary and it was nothing short of incredible. Our server Tony was delightful and so good to us during our visit. We had the polenta fries, crab cakes, burger, lamb and we shared two desserts that all tasted top notch, we will definitely visit again soon.

Best Italian place in Vancouver! The tangy flavours in the spaghetti were awesome. The mango drink was decent, could have been more fruity if it was from fresh fruit.

My husband and I went to have a nice dinner tonight to celebrate getting married and we loved it. The atmosphere was very clean, food was so delicious and the staff were very kind and friendly. Our waitress was Raquel and she was amazing. She was very spot on with her service and well perfectly timed with everything. If she was a second off, another staff member helped to take a plate or empty glass, incredible service! I should mention that the prices are on the high end but well worth it! The quality of the food and service is through the roof! I 100% recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner out of celebration and will absolutely be coming back again.

Everything was good, and above average. We had 2 pizzas and 2 pastas for dinner, again, good but not fantastic come-back-again type pizza. They make great pasta. Good list of wines. If you are looking for a more authentic Italian experience, its probably in Vancouver.

To start, I would like to say the food is always excellent here, but this certain experience leaves me wondering if I will ever come back. It was my wife and my 5 year anniversary today. We could have gone anywhere, but we chose Piva as it was where we had our first date. I requested a couple very small details for the night as this would bring back some memories. When we walked in, I could see and hear one hostess say to the other oh crap they re here. Which led me to believe that we would not get the table we requested. No big deal I told them, figuring they d at least say happy anniversary, and do the other small detail, which was simply bring us a glass of Prosecco, the first drink we ever had together. (On our first date I put date night and they brought us a drink, and she makes fun of me for it to this day). Absolutely nothing was mentioned or done. And I was clear in my note I wasn t asking for anything on the house, just something to remember the night by. But nothing at all. The food was great and our server was also great, but at the end we said we d take a look at the menu. The hostess came over and started explaining the feature dessert, which we had already been told. When we stopped her to let her know we just want to look at the rest of the offerings, she bluntly said I m explaining something you asked about. We never asked about it and never even spoke to her. THEN SHE EXPLAINED IT AGAIN, but louder. When we said we ll please take a look at the menu, she tossed them on the table. A server we see all the time there, since we live around the corner, came by and we told him it s our anniversary. He asked if they knew at the front, as they d bring us a dessert. We didn t ask for anything on the house nor expected anything, but again, absolutely no mention of anything, even after I saw her read the note I put down. I wish we had celebrated somewhere else, because what would have been a fun and memorable night left us just wanting to get out of there! I ve never experienced a hostess so rude. This is a great spot for a meal, but maybe think twice if you re asking for any sort of attention to detail as it is very easily missed and dismissed.

The food was so yummy. Our server i cant remember his name couldve been daryl or daniel but started with a d i believe older gentlemen. He was so kind and funny and on top of everything! Definitely will be recommending this place to friends!

Checked out this place for dinner and was impressed by the quality of the food, like, it was fresh and flavorful. And the vibe was really relaxed, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family.

First time here on Tuesday night, it was absolutely AMAZING start to finish. Phenomenal service from Darrel - totally made the whole experience ! Genuine conversation and was always right there with perfect timing if you needed anything. Beyond knowledgable with the menu and impressive wine list. Everything he suggested on the menu was delicious ! (Try the wild boar pasta it s to die for!) Overall GREAT experience, the service and food here is unmatched. I ll be back !

It was my wifes birthday. The waiter (didnt catch her name - she was an elder lady) was absolutely wonderful. She pointed out one of the dishes had bacon when we ordered and then said they could exclude this (we did not tell her we were vegetarian), she gave my wife a complimentary slice of cake (with a candle) and she was checking on us to make sure we were ok. We had such a lovely evening. We will be back!

You can feel the rich taste of the ingredients rather than the pungent taste. The staff was very friendly and there werent even the slightest mistakes. The atmosphere was great and everything was a perfect evening. Olives, pasta, duck and pick, carpaccio are so delicious

The salad and pasta are good, but the pizza has too much Basil sauce and the taste is not that good. The overall atmosphere is good

This restaurant has a great location and nice atmosphere, but the food isnt worth the price. You can get better food for the same price, or even less, just 15-20 minutes toward the city from here.

Serves by a lovely veteran gentleman server. His charm added to the ambience and he was very good. If you go, sit in his section you cant miss him. Pizza was good, desert was house made and delicious. Solid time!

The food was enjoyable. We tried the bolognese, the modern Italian pizza, mango temple, and chocolate cake. I highly recommend the mango temple; it was delicious and refreshing. The bolognese was also delightful. The pizza had a unique flavor with a thin crust; while it was enjoyable, I likely wouldnt order it again.

The food was really good, with many vegetarian options, the waiter was very attentive to us, and the place is very cute and gives good vibes. The only thing that I found that was overpriced was a dbl mojito for 18 dollars, but besides that, everything else was really good. Vegetarian options: Mushroom pizza

Theres an Italian restaurant in New Westminster thats perfect for enjoying brunch with friends. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the food, which really helped us choose from the menu. Im thinking of going back for dinner next time since brunch was such a great experience. I confidently recommend it! :-)

This was my first time at Piva. The restaurant looks cool and welcoming. The food was delicious and I ordered a gin cocktail that was also good. The price of wine is insane, $23 for the house 9oz glass. The service was very bad, super slow. Although our server was friendly, he lacked attention and we had to wait forever to order and to ask for the bill. Even though the food was good, I don t think I would go back. The slow service spoiled our visit.

Went out for dinner with a friend and it was the perfect spot. Excellent service, tasty wine, and big delicious plates of pasta.

Quite disappointed by this restaurant given its ratings. Food is mediocre at best, and felt like I was constantly being rushed by the servers. The smaller tables in the restaurant are situated way too close to each other - our server nearly knocked over our drinks multiple times while tending to the table beside us. Seems like volume and turnover is priority for them. Overall, aesthetically, this restaurant is nice and has been marketed well but that s about all it s got going for it.

We have been multiple times and it is always soo good. Food is incredible , service is amazing and friendly and the cocktails are to die for. This is one of our fave restaurants by far .. always a treat when we get to go : exceeds in all areas,highly highly recommended.

Had a delightful experience at Piva. Was very surprised with how affordably priced the menu was considering the quality of food and drinks. The service was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to adjust any dietary needs for our group. The atmosphere was a nice blend of casual classy. Tried wild boar meatballs and Carpaccio. Meatballs are ok, bit on the drier side, carpaccio had burned capers on top, mayo and burned chips.. Weird combo, so I just took it out. Average food, nothing spectacular, just ok. However, Negroni sour was amazing! Food

They started charging $5 for bread which used to be complimentary. That seems very cheap of them to do given the alcohol markups are quite high. The portions seemed smaller than the last few times we visited. Don t get me wrong, the food is good and all, but I m not happy about the recent changes. They basically lost a star in all categories because of them. It s too bad as this used to be one of our favorite date night spots, and now we ll have to find another. PS. $45 for a corkage fee is asinine.

Food is very good. Service is good and efficient. The vibe is really nice for a relaxed evening meal. Only negative was I had the best mango mocktail I d ever had so I ordered a second and it wasn t as good. Way too much soda water and not enough syrup. I think it was made by a different member of staff.

Drove by this restaurant a couple of times and looked worthy of trying. We noted the Google reviews were highly regarded as well. Food - overall 2/5 - Caprese: it was ok. - Vongole: pasta cooked well. Smell was good. Generous amounts clams but the issue was the sauce and seasoning. The flavour profile did not come well together, the first bite was overpowered with too much garlic and leaves a very bland aftertaste. - Sablefish: the price vs quality seemed unbalanced. Sablefish normally has that nice smooth and slippery texture, and when cooked well, you can taste a good coat of fatiness in your mouth. Our Sablefish did not hit this point fully. It was average at best, but given the price point at $45, the value was not there. - Brussel sprouts : I liked how they added the crispy bacon. The Brussel sprouts were very crispy as well. The only problem was that it was very oily. Service: - overall 2.5/5 - Iain was our server. Nothing special or above and beyond. - the timing between the pasta vs the main was a little long. The restaurant was busy so it could be that he was covering too many tables as the service was slow at times with no check in on how the pasta and Caprese were. - the main concern was the experience dining with him as our server was lacklustre. There was no excitement Atmosphere: - 5/5 It was a nice/attractive looking restaurant that would make you want to dine there. Well lit and modern which fits its description. Cant say I would choose to dine here again given better options for Italian fine dining in Vancouver but do not regret trying this place.
