An array of traditional Mexican dishes in a cozy space with festive decor & brightly painted walls.
Fantastic experience and food was really good. Love the ambiance and of course the owner is very friendly. Would highly recommend coming here!
A Great Find. Real Mexican Food, Fresh Made Pico de Gallo (Salsa). I had the steak dinner w potatoes and salad. All extremely good. Friendly Service. Great prices. Will return. Recommended.
The owner, I'm guessing, was also our waiter. A bit stooped, with the rime of age around him. I asked for the soup to start, and he asked what kind, vegetable, chicken, whatever you want. I chose the vegetable, and it was some of the best soup I've had. I don't think it had a name, just vegetable soup. The rest of the meal was great as well. Good portions, great flavours. So glad we found it.
It was decent mexican food but my expectations were really high from this place. The owner was a funny guy and he made us laugh a lot. I would say if you want less spicy mexican food, this is the place to go.
The veggie burrito was a flavor-packed delight—filled with a hearty mix of seasoned beans, sautéed peppers, fresh avocado, and crisp lettuce, all wrapped in a warm, soft tortilla. Each bite was vibrant and satisfying, with the perfect balance of textures and flavors. The veggie nachos were just as impressive—crispy chips piled high with melted cheese, beans, veges all topped with creamy guacamole and tangy sour cream. Every chip was loaded with goodness, making each bite a delicious and satisfying treat. This veggie meal was a true feast for the senses, proving that plant-based options can be just as indulgent and flavorful as their meaty counterparts.
The best place if you are looking to feel like home with home food ! Delicious! Raul is the best ! Picture attached that’s how good was the food!
Everything about our experience at this place was phenomenal. The ambiance was lighthearted and fun. Most importantly, the food... I don't even have the words to describe just how good it was. From the first to the last bite, it just kept impressing me. Definitely will be coming back every chance I get.
We ordered nachos, flautas, and a plate of pork carnitas. The nachos was different because of the white cheese instead of your usual cheddar. Flautas were served warm. However, the carnitas meat tasted a bit old. Price point was good because it was affordable. Homey ambiance. Service was friendly. Overall, it was just okay.
Really cute place, Authentic dishes, well flavored, Owner is super sweet, makes sure your taken care of. My husband is from Mexico and he approves the Flan desert is amazing! Definitely should check it out!
Ole ole Mexican restaurant is the best that I tried. The ambiance is homey and Raul will assisted me with their specialty. Love to go back again with friends. Please let s support this amazing restaurant in 12th street, New Westminster.
Great food, friendly staff, great prices
The food here is amazing
If you wanna taste real Mexican food, highly recommended. Great atmosphere and very lovely people. And food tastes so good and fresh. Food : 5/5
Love the food here and the price is pretty reasonable.
Everything is absolutely delicious! Excellent service and everything very nice! I loved
I literally just went to Mexico and back in 1 hour. The best Mexican food I ve tried in Canada super delicious Great job Raul keep up the good work
Mr. Raúl is a great person who makes you feel like you are in Mexico, his food is not gourmet, it is as if you were going to a nice restaurant to eat in Mexico, his flan is delicious, made by himself. It was a pleasure, I recommend it.
The food is incredible and is not spicy. If u dont like spicy, the waiter is really nice with a smile all the time, and the environment makes u feel that u are in Mexico and is berry clean Food : 5/5
Best Mexican food in Greater Vancouver! Such a nice experience :)
Ole Ole is pretty good, decent food and its quite popular. But if you go on Sundays, it becomes Dona Vickys which is absolutely amazing!! All kinds of birria and it is mind blowingly delicious and the staff are super friendly
Was too hungry I forgot to take a photo, but me and my girlfriend had the burrito and the chimichanga, food was delicious and the atmosphere brought me back to Mexico, the owners are very friendly, very authentic food!
Can t do Miami without Ole Ole paella. Vibe is amazing and service even better. Malen was the best!!
Excellent service and food
Almost walked out of here. All the food was microwaved (including the nachos, you could hear the microwave door slam) and was at least a day old. Didnt finish any of the food as it was dry and stale.
Birria is out of this world, amazing portions and the pricing is actually surprisingly cheap for Vancouver. Coming here felt like finding a little piece of Mexico in Canada!!!
Im very confused by the 4+ average review of this restaurant. We ordered nachos and tortillas and all three dishes were microwaved. The tortillas were hard and the nachos were wet like mush. We could hear the woman in the back slamming the microwave. It felt like we ate leftover food that got reheated and I am afraid Ill get sick. I wish I got McDonalds instead.
The best birria in all of Vancouver
Raul was an amazing host and the food was excellent for very reasonable prices .go to ole ole for a great experience.
They said it was gluten free it was not gluten free. This establishment does not understand all wheat products. In any ingredient great staff etc you cant eat here if you have a gluten allergy.
Good service
Doña Vickys birria is the best Ive tasted in Canada. The seasoning is excellent, and the quality of the food is outstanding. I highly recommend it. Its available only on Saturdays and Sundays.
The birria was exquisite!!! For a moment I felt at my ranch... Thank you
Staff was ok,but this is not Mexican food, it is more like a fusion of tastes.
Mar 23 2024 around 5:19pm. Came to restaurant. Felt a disgusting smell like a mold from the floor or tables or air. No one said hi first, just glared at us like few seconds. The old man(Server I guess) came to the table and we said hi again. No smile nor eye contact at all and the worst part was he avoided it and looked out the windows to check outside. What the hell?!? Later the lady came to take orders. (Probably he must have felt something that we were unset about his rudeness.) We ordered items for to go. We picked them up and dumped in the garbage bin. Thank you for ruining our date.
I had the chicken mole and it was great. Rice had a spice in it that was different for me and went really well with the rest of the dish.
We went last night, and I really couldn t believe there weren t more people there. We ordered the nachos and I was expecting the usual hardened cheese and loose chips beneath with nothing on them, but these nachos were built different. Loved it. We had the pupusas, the mole enchilada and something else. Everything was perfectly put together. This place needs the neighbourhood to go during the week, just like I said for Majic Man s Barber on Edmonds. Small businesses that only have 2 or 4 hands can t make it work on weekends only. Everyone left full with dessert for about 20 bucks each with 3 people. Cheers and thanks! Enjoy!
Cute place, great food.
Excellent Mexican food at a local spot! Raul made us some delicious burritos and flautas. We will be back!
Very good mexican authentic food.
Came here with my wife because we wanted to try a Mexican place near our house (within biking distance), and were pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was. The portions were very generous compared to the price. Would def recommend.
Avoid this place PLEASE!! I got a carnitas takeout from this place because I saw good reviews on Google. But I was quite disappointed with my food and experience. Firstly, the meal was small. I got fried rice that was not tasty and carnitas that was overcooked with a small slab of beans and guacamole. Then the guy over charged me $15.5 and when I later looked at the menu after I paid, I saw it was $14.75. Very sketchy place and bad food. Not sure if the reviews are fake because the food definitely didnt look as appetizing as the photos.
Great food and ambience Best little Mexican place this side of the pecos Recommended dishes Nachos and Salsa, Taco Combo
Rude. Tried to overcharge me. They dont like non-mexicans
Same consistantly good food, small place, homemade food good price
I went to this small place with my bf to celebrate oir anniversary and we were so happy to choose going here. As an appetizer we had this pupusa (which I believe is from el Salvador ) and it had cheese inside with pickled cabbage on top with red sauce, it was delicious. As main dishes my bf ordered enchiladas suizas with chicken filling and green tomato homemade sauce and cheese on top with a side of brown rice, black beans and pico de gallo. The tortillas were not too soggy, the sauce was just tasty and not too salty. These might be the best enchiladas I have tried so far in Vancouver. The only thing about here is that the owner is extremely rude and clumsy and my tortillas were heated in the microwave, disappointing really. And my bf had the beef chimichanga with a side of salad - lettuce and pico de gallo - (which I tried and it had some special dressing that made it taste spectacularly fresh and savory). And then the cook made us a special taco order because of our anniversary. As a dessert we had this flan which I believe is similar to cream brulee with caramel sauce on top, not too sweet but so creamy. It was amazing, I just loved coming here, the prices are affordable, the food is fresh and the staff are ok. Its ok but Id go to other places when it comes to Mexican food.
Authentic Mexican food, absolutely delicious and Ive never been disappointed with anything Ive ordered
Ole Ole...best authentic Mexican food!!! 1st time here and wont be our last
Food was great. The owner was really friendly and took his time to explain his recommendation. I would suggest this very highly for authentic Mexican food.
The food is always fresh, delicious, and made with love. The service is always prompt and kind. Ole Ole has definitely become one of my favourite restaurants for authentic Mexican close to home!
I enjoyed the food. It is very reasonably priced.
Food tasted amazing and portions were generous. Will definitely come back
Best mexican food ever!
The food was amazing! Every single bite. The staff were delightful and personable. Sorry we hadn t stopped by sooner (out of towners) I would 100% recommend this authentic Mexican restaurant in New Westminster
Amazing food and service!!
The people who run this restaurant are full of love, and the food is some of the best Ive ever had. The flavors are incredible, the prices are great, and Ive literally never been served with such kindness. Felt like I was with family. We live on the other side of the city, and will make sure we come back often.
After reading reviews, we were excited to try for our 12 yr anniversary. Unfortunately to us it lacked everything we hoped for. I won t get into too many details but the food was not great at all. The service was slow and rude. When paying they accidentally charged for two extra meals (roughly $30). I asked for a written invoice brought it back and left the payment machine on the table in which I had to put the right amount in to pay. Needless to say, we won t be going back anytime soon.
Awesome enchiladas and a delicious flan dessert washed down with a pineapple Jaritos on a nice sunny evening with a good window view of the street. Service was very courteous and quick, and the Mexican music went well with the meal.
My boyfriend and I missed LA food, especially Mexican food, and we stumbled upon this cute cuisine and their food is ABSOLUTELY delicious and filling!! I think its a family owned business and its an absolute hidden gem for sure!! I love the atmosphere, the hospitality, the workers and owner. Highly recommend and will definitely come back again
Nice small place. AWESOME tomatia sauce / enchiladas
Good food
A true hidden gem! This place is like going to a friends home for a true Nexican dinner, not overly Westernized. Service was great...I believe he is the owner and he had such a great sense of humor. Food offered included both vegetarian and meat which was perfect for my husband and myself. Prices are reasonable, especially since the portions are quite large. I look forward to going back. Atmosphere was quiet with some latin music in the background. Vegetarian options: Not a lot of options, but there were a few. The two dishes we had were both fabulous!
Absolutely delicious! It is a small little spot, but the food was fantastic. I had the combo tacos and added their hot sauce, which was the perfect kick. We also had chips and guac which was fresh, and the flour tortilla bowl the chips came in was also a nice touch (and tasty)!
Lovely place for authentic homemade Mexican food. The owner is also lovely, take your time to chat with him. The price is fair and the atmosphere is very cozy!
Very very good food! The enchiladas were especially incredible and the host was kind and helpful. I ll definitely be coming back, I want to try everything!
Don t let the run-down-ness of this area fool you. This place is fantastic in all the ways that matter. The food is top notch, and the place had its own simple charm. The man who served us was kind, soft spoken, and helped me choose what to eat as there were so many good options. If you can look past the simple wooden furniture and super out-dated menu design this is the place for you.
Excellent restaurant, great service, fresh food and delicious ingredients. Highly recommend!
What a wonderful gem. Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, great service, and such reasonable prices!
Amazing place if you are looking for authentic Mexican food. Staff is lovely, food is filling and the place is very cute. It s a small business, guessing family owned so don t expect a super fast service, just enjoy the experience. It s like go and having dinner at your grandmas kind of feeling. Try the flan for dessert! It s the best!!!
Absolutely the best Verde and mole. All dishes are great.
Hidden gem, great food, great prices! Not sure if owner, the woman in the kitchen came out and recommended a couple of items, we loved them.
What can I say, it was the best place I could find in Canada apart from the food, the attention of the best person I could meet, an excellent chef, there is really no better place than this restaurant, congratulations, Mr. Raúl.
Had an amazing experience at this very lovely restaurant the other day and I will definitely be coming back for more! Food was delicious, the staff are very sweet and the place is very warm and welcoming. Recommend this place for a date any day!
We love it here, the best Mexican cuisine in the lower mainland. Love the owner and listen to his recommendations for what to order. You always feel welcome here.
I split Nachos with a friend and had one entree. I spent just over $25, with a tip. I love coming here when I can. Service is fine, the place is small, and the food is always good. Bring cash. I recall their debit machine is down like 1 in 5 times I go there.
Love it here. Small spot, with true Mexican food. And YES, they are open Mondays!
I dont know what took me so long to try this place out. Eating here is like being invited to a friends place for a warm home-cooked meal. The owners were friendly, the atmosphere was cozy and unpretentious, and the food was delicious. Will definitely be going back for more
Authentic Mexican food, average taste but Good customer service ( +1star )
Great food. Very good value. Would give 6 stars if I could
Best authentic Mexican food I ve ever had. Felt like a home-cooked meal in a cozy and charming restaurant. I hope that everyone can try this amazing food, I will certainly be returning here!
Unique Mexican dining experience with a great host. The Chile Colorado is unique. Great red sauce over tender bits of pork.
Excellent place, the food is delicious and the service is very friendly.
Fantastic family owned little restaurant, with traditional Mexican.
Unfriendly service. Get your Mexican food fix elsewhere. I called to order for pick up and the lady who answered couldnt understand a word I was saying.. she then proceeded to pass me on to someone else without saying so. As I was going through my order, the man didnt acknowledge my order so there was ton of silence and I was confused so I kept saying hello. He says I can hear you in a not-so-friendly tone. I proceed to go through my order and ask him to repeat. I asked how much it was and he says I dont know. At this point, I asked him to cancel and he hangs up on me.
Gosh I love homemade flan.
OMG ! Best Mexican food Ive ever try! Im super picky with what I eat but this food is 100/100 highly recommend
Best Mexican food Ive had in Canada :)
Very delicious! Thanks
Found this somewhat by accident but was impressed with the incredible food and prices. The owner is incredibly kind and the atmosphere is very homey. Will definitely come back.
Authentic good old fashioned mexican food. Best in the city bar none.
Loved it! We had enchiladas (one with mole and one with green salsa), a papusa and flan to share. Everything was delicious! The owner Raul is also the nicest, which made our meal even better :)
Ate here for the first time over the weekend and it was great. The service was friendly and quick and everything was delicious.
Great little joint with very friendly owner. Would recomend
The best ever Mexican Restaurant here in New Westminster - highly recommend! The people are amazing / friendly - perfection all around -- definitely coming back!
A hidden Gem! Exquisite food! Thoroughly enjoyed! Great price for great food! Thank you very much
Get the quesadilla and hot sauce
Absolutely amazing food! Friendly staff! Great Service! Cute little restaurant.
A quiet and cosy restaurant, it serves authentic Mexican food. I tried the Chimichanga and it was very delicious. It came with a salad and I devoured it because it was so good. Best salad Ive had in a while. I also ordered the Tostada and it was super tasty and a good size too. Overall a very clean and welcoming place. I think Ill bring my partner here for dinner.
Arrived at 5pm to the owner locking up the gate as they said they had to go get help as they were on their own. Understandable for a small business owner during these times, so we walked around for a bit. We arrived back at 5:30. The owner was welcoming and friendly. We ordered 1 pupusa, chicken mole and taco combo. While the food tasted authentically Mexican - some of the items like the rice and the beans and pupusa were clearly microwaved. Unfortunately the quality of the food wasn t as expected by some of these other reviews. It wasn t overly priced, just a little disappointing in terms of the quality.
Trash food, microwaved food and over cooked tough steak, owner doesn t understand or speak English so good luck asking for recommendations
I heard the microwave being used to heat up food a lot and it makes me wonder how much of this food is fresh? I ordered the Burrito and the burrito itself tasted good but everything else, especially the rice was not fresh. You can tell it was microwaved. If you have a child that needs a high chair, I highly recommend not using the one they have here. They had one high chair and handed it to us with crusty food stains all over the chair.
The best Mexican food
Love family place with authentic food. Loved everything! Great prices but average size servings.
Best Mexican food!
Ole Ole, what can I say, You have a pizza our hearts! The service and food saved us the long flight and hassle. The owners and food are as authentic as it gets. This place is a gem. Look how happy my queen is! Pics posted
WORST dining experience ever. Went here after reading all the positive reviews. Arrived to find the servers smoking right outside the entrance. The smoke smell lingered the entire time inside the restaurant. Ordered the veggie chimichanga and was served a burrito stuffed with a slightly seasoned frozen vegetable mix (carrots, green peas, spinach)- it was mediocre at best. Unfortunately, we could not finish our meals because the servers started smoking again in between our meal, wafting more smoke into the restaurant. We left in a hurry since I have asthma. Once I got home I realized I left my purse at the restaurant. I called them to let them know I m coming to retrieve it. Once I got there, they denied I left anything behind even going as far as telling me I did not bring a purse in!!! I did not get my purse back... UNTRUSTWORTHY people who treat their customers like garbage! I have no idea how this place is still open, please don t believe all the positive reviews!
This is legit. I promise.
I had a Tamale and Pupusa Excellent and imaginative Mexican food.
Delicious and super cheap. The place is really cute and the owners are very friendly.
Delicious, authentic Mexican food with great portions and prices. Will be coming back here!
This is a small family business, food is amazing like my abuelita used to cook, price are cheap and aforable, please dont expect same treatment as a fancy restaurant, this is the most authentic Mexican food in all Mainland
Vegetarian options: Chile rellenos Food
An empty, dying restaurant on a Friday night. The Chips with the guacamole dip were stale and came from a large Rubbermaid container. The main entrees were ok, but the chicken in the enchiladas was dry and overcooked. The reviews on Google are way way too high.
This small, family run business has some of the best and closest to authentic mexican food for a really great price. My partner and I both got enchiladas (her the green chile, me the mole), and split a plate of nachos. The quality of the food is very high, and the decor, music, and location are all very cute. Great for a date night.
Mom and Pop shop of authentic Mexican dishes!!! This is my one of my go to for Mexican cuisine out of all the other shops nearby. Fresh, flavorful, and delicious!!
amazing food great service. they even held the restaurant open late when I called in to pre order so we wouldnt miss out. love this place
I really like this place, great food, great value, great staff, never very busy. A very nice little family run place.
Great selection and simply with classic touch. Love it as well its local. Def will come back!!!
Love veggie burrito and wonderful service! Definitely coming back! Great local place!
I dont even like beans usually but at this place they were so tasty that I ate mine super fast. All the food was so good here, we were very impressed. Its also a good value for the price, we stuffed ourselves with appetizer, entree and dessert for around $40. Yes, you might have to wait a while for service sometimes, but its worth it to me. We found the service to be kind and friendly. Will be back for sure. Loved the flan.
Over all taste of food is good however the items are confusing in comparison to mexican Ive had before . Burrito comes with frozen mixed veggies inside and is ground beef instead of shredded. Chimichanga is good however this was my first one being served one without cheese inside and it comes baked not deep fried.
Whenever we crave for a totally authentic mom and pop style Mexican food, our go to place. Mi amigo never disappoint.
Owner and workers are not complying to COVID regulations! They do not wear masks, tables are not cleaned and had leftover crumbs on the table and menu. One customer told the owner that he should be wearing a mask and we caught him lying by saying I was drinking water , but he wasn t. Never coming back!
Good one
Disappointed ! The tacos were so sloppy the way they were put into the takeout container and not great tasting. The rice and beans tasted old and dried out. I wont order here again.
Very good food, mole enchiladas was fantastic. No AC so a little warm inside. Great hole in the wall that is a small gem of new west.
I already had dinner so tried a pupusa. Friend had chimichanga and salad. Good food; tried it all: loved the salad!
Hard to find authentic Mexican in our city.. lots of good taco shops but not alot of plated style Mexican food. This awesome , delicious homestyle cuisine will be on my gotta try everything on the menu list! The mole poblano was well balanced spiciness with the taste of cocoa...delish!
Great food and service :)
Very tasty food and great service.
Fresh and fast
This place is amazing, it is my favorite in all of New Westminster. Best Mexican in Lower Mainland, try the Enchiladas Suiza
Nice little place for Mexican food. It is family run business. I tried veggie Chimichanga and it was delicious. They cut fresh veggies for salad and it was best salad .
I feel its an underrated restaurant. I was looking for flavour, and i found it. I recommend the enchiladas suizas. Fast and juicy :D
First time trying this spot. Very authentic, family run hidden gem. Would recommend! Delicious food and gracious service. Raul the owner was such a sweet heart. Enchiladas were delicious.
This place is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Vancouver and area. The owner and people working here are amazing.
Quaint little place, great food and service.
Awesome Mexican food, good quality
no covid regulations. none of the employees wearing masks, no social distancing, no asking for vaccine card. unfortunate since i was really looking forward to supporting a family owned business
This is a great little hole in the wall with delicious food. The nachos and carne asada are great and the tacos and chimichangas are good as well. However, we ordered the chicken with white sauce and it tasted strongly of tequila, which was not stated in the menu. Service isnt terrible but not ideal, and ambience is good. Overall good experiences, although my family will not be returning because of the chicken.
I would give it 6 stars if I could! The food was absolutely amazing!
Such great food! Cozy dining area, very personable service (the owner offered to make me an item that wasnt on the menu, if they were out of tamales), very well portioned and priced, and SUCH GREAT FOOD!!
Absolutely loved it!
the best place in new west to eat mexican food
This is one of my absolute favourite restaurants in New West; the food is delicious, the couple that work here are friendly and wonderful. Im looking forward to the next time I get to visit
Very good food and decent portions.
Food is amazing. Hence 2 stars. Sadly I have been at this place with a friend who is a regular. The owner treats him like gold, and I am a piece of dirt. Also, when paying, if wanting to do separate bills, the owner treats the customer like a piece of dirt. Hes an old dude, so effort isnt his thing, but I wont pay for lack of effort or indulge his old age for his food. Id rather find another good restaurant to eat at.
Delicious food! Recommended!!! And please come and support them. We were there for a good hour and theres no customers beside us. With the COVID19 we really need to support our lovely local business. I want this place to survive and still serve us good, delicious authentic Mexican food.
Best in new west
Nice little Mexican joint
Lovely local restaurant! The food here is so flavourful and everything is made fresh! The chicken mole poblano is my favourite, though I confidently order anything and know itll be delicious, and excellent value for the cost too! The owner is kind and welcoming, and the extra steps hes taken for covid are more than enough to set me at ease both to order take out or to dine in!
What an awesome little spot! Delicious, authentic Mexican food served in a bright, welcoming dining room. Nothing beats a tasty homemade corn tortilla! And the Flan!! There are no words! If you haven t, you must!
Pros, clean, great food and service. Cons, short loop on music tape, one can only listen to so much Jose Jose. Small location, reserve or arrive early.
Ive been here twice now, and I highly recommend it. First visit I had the choriqueso, 2nd time the beef chimichangas. So good. Everything is made fresh, it was piping hot. For dessert, have the flan - creme caramel. Im not a fan of flans, except this one. This is a tiny place, and it seems to do a lot of business in takeaway.
I loved it, the food and the experience.
I had the mole, and it wad just unbelievablely good. Some of the best Mexican food Ive had. Will definitely return.
Tasty authentic Mexican cuisine. Also I would recommend to try desert, sorry forgot the name. It s like cream brûlée, but Mexican version with homemade caramel on top. Finger-licking!
Home style Mexican food. Really unique flavours were used.
Went here with friends, Im mexican and another one of us is puerto rican and I kid you not when I say we could have cried. The food tasted just like out of abuelos kitchen. This is REAL latino comfort food which is so so hard to find in Canada. Especially with all the weird hybrid experimental spanish/latino cuisine in B.C. Fantastic food here!
Food is very good. Prices are acceptable. The lady who works here speaks poor english. The last time I visited this place I asked FOUR times if I could order food for takeout. She responded with a blank stare. I gave up and walked out. Why should I get food here when ordering is a frustrating ordeal? No restaurant should ever have anyone dealing with customers unless they speak english fluently. Will not be returning despite the good food. There are many other places to choose from. 1 star.
The best
Authentic Mexican food. Good portions and fairly priced.
I always liked the food and Raúls Sense of humor. He is trying to keep the place open even without staff who dont want to go back to work. Hopefully, people would buy more from him while being patient, specially buy food to go or even eat there and support this local business that is barely surviving.
OMG!!! Im so lucky to live on the same block! Definately 1 of the most authentic and affordable Mexican restaurants in the lower mainland. Muchas gracias y viva Mexico!
Authentic fresh prepared mexican comfort food. Super staff and fair prices.
Delicious authentic Mexican food around Everything is packed with flavor. Service is great and its like walking into Grandmas house
Super cute hidden gem in New West for authentic, handmade, Mexican cuisine! Everything is cooked and served by the owner!
We really liked it. I had the carne asada and dad had the quesadillas. We had a flan for dessert and a coke the total cost was $30. There was some nice spices on the meat and the salad was nice. I would go back again.
Nice little Mexican place that offers authentic food. The place itself had a warm atmosphere with its yellow background with interesting looking painting and decorating. The first look of the menu and its very old school that needs updating. The pictures on the back... Dont look that great but! Dont let that fool you. The food itself tastes great with its many textures and beans on my plate. The rice on the other hand is lacking in taste, I would come back here and try something else without any rice.
Excellent food and service!
Best hot sauce around...
Its so hard to find authentic Mexican food. Here it is!!! It was amazing!! Not from Vancouver but I recommend it to everyone!! Wonderful gentleman running the place is very friendly and his care for his food definitely goes into his cooking
This place was adorable and the food was amazing! It is very authentic and the owners are very kind and understanding. I am vegan and sometimes that means my meals are bland at restaurants - this was not the case here! Server was very understanding that I did not eat cheese or cream and advised me about which beans were vegan. Myself and my mom were both VERY happy with our meals and I know we will be back soon because my boyfriend is sad he didn t join us ;) Also was super reasonably priced. Everything was great definitely give it a try :D
Excellent chef with years of experience
Great place! Authentic Mexican cuisine, the owner is right there taking care of the business and customers. I had the steak ranchero and was very delicious. 100% recommended.
Wow . Delicious . If you havent been ...you for sure should .
Authentic, delicious, will be going back again.
Really liked the food. Will go back.
My experience at Ole Ole was excellent and I totally recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great food and service. I went there with my boyfriend and a couple friends. We all enjoy great food that are made and served with passion and love, and they definitely scored 120% on both of them. Because their menu was not typical tex-mex style we were familiar with, I let the owner Raou choose a dish for me. and he got me a Chile something which was grilled corn tortilla and sweet pepper stuffed with cheese and topped with tomato sauce that reminded of an Italian sauce. It was flavorful, authentic, and very juicy dish and I really liked it. The portion was just right and the spiciness was definitely there, but it was not overwhelming. We all got different dishes and we all agreed that they were superior. Every dish came with similar sides: rice, salsa, and beans. again, they were delicious :) also, a very important note is none of their dishes was greasy. so, if you like and are so used to deep fried stuff in every meal, you probably will not have the same opinion about this place as we do. The owner Raou was such an charming entertainer who made our dinner experience there more amazing. He threw some jokes every time he came to our table and we just felt like bringing an extra chair for him to join us. He was really fun :) He ordered us vegetarian style pupusas ( I guess) to start with. Everyone loved it. it was something like cooked beans and corn tortilla in tomato sauce with sour cream kind of sauce on top. oh, my. I am so bad at writing a review. lol If you are open minded and love to try something different and tasty, make a quick run to this cozy and amazing venue. The place is quite small and fills quickly in a busy time :)
The food is very traditional and exceptionally delicious
Excellent authentic Mexican cuisine. I finally found a good Mexican place in YVR
Wonderful owner and restaurant/cafe. The food was not necessarily my favorite; but I still would go just to be there and in that environment.
Delicious Mexican fare.
