I have to say I was pretty unhappy last night. When we booked our reservation we were told we had to sit on the heated patio because our party of 9 was too big for any inside table. The temperature was either too hot or too cold and most of us were uncomfortable. We ended up only being a party of 7 so we asked to be moved to the pretty quiet indoor area and were told no. The food service was fine though we did have to ask 2 xs for ketchup. This group of women meet 3-4 times a year and were looking for a new meeting spot so tried here. Everyones comment as we left was, not here again!

NEVER ORDER TAKEOUT! I have eaten here hundreds of times, every time has been amazing service and experience. I accidentally ordered a delivery instead of pickup for my takeout and it arrives I order the tiki tuna poke bowl. Everytime I have every had it in restaurant no matter how hungry I am I have at least a whole meal worth of leftovers left. tonight I ordered takeout I ate all of it in less than 10 minutes and I m still hungry afterwards extremely disappointed. Best way to spend $35.

Nice looking space but service was meh my $4 Coca-Cola was only offered to refill once after the whole meal was done. More importantly, the mini nachos appetizer was brown cheese burnt to the paper underneath. The pasta I had to follow was fine but for a $25 pasta I d expect it to be not just fine . Overall, not a great experience.

Burger was cooked perfectly, seemed made with care. Service was very friendly and attentive.

Nice place. Had a group of 9 sit together after a full day conference just to unwind. Found it frustrating there was automatic gratuity as tipping should be given and not expected. Sat on the covered deck which was very cold and when asked to turn down the circulating fans, they responded with turning on the heat lamps. All worked out. Minimal food was purchased so was okay and drinks were good as well. Will be back.

The service is always on point and everything about this location is awesome. Plus, a lovely employee named Autumn found my wallet with cash and credit cards in it and returned it to me with everything in it. I will always support this location. Thank you.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night with some friends. Gui was our server. He was great! Super attentive and very nice! Our drinks were awesome as well. Highly recommend the espresso martini!

Too busy...

The service is great, the waitress was very fast and prompt with our drinks and food. Unfortunately an hour after dinner, I was violently sick for 12 hours with food poisoning- and the only thing new that I had was at browns socialhouse that day. Unsure as to what part of the meal caused it as everything tasted good. Id been here before and didnt have any issues in the past. Edit: Im glad theyre taking it off the menu now but Im pretty sure it was the chicken in the chicken and pickles- I had the majority of it while my sister didnt have almost any and was only mildly ill.

Wish they will bring Florida sandwich back! It s the best!!!

Have been coming here for years. Love the atmosphere and several items on the menu, especially the Spicy Thai Chicken Soup. Upon ordering the soup our fantastic server Gui informed me that the soup has pork in it, and if I was ok with that. I definitely was not, since I am a devout muslim. The menu does not list it as an ingredient, which it should. I will no longer be eating the soup. Im very disappointed. Thanks again Gui.

Just wanted drinks for 3 people. Empty tables everywhere. Told it was a 15 minute wait because the kitchen was busy. Again, said no food. Just drinks. Still a 15 minute wait. Reminds me of service in England. As in none.

Love this location! Kelsey was our server, she was serving half the restaurant and still made time for me and my wife! Was impressed with the manager and other staff members who also supported the servers maintaining the customer experience!! Would highly recommend. Ps .the manager gave us a complimentary carrot cake!! Mmmmmmmm 10/10

Before you read my complaint, please know I had to take the night to sit with the experience I had so that this review was not as harsh as it should be. Last night, Monday July 22nd, I made plans with my dear friend I have not seen in 13 years. Someone I grew up with and someone with the biggest heart of all. I came early and sat at the bar. Greeted not so quickly as most staff in the restaurant business tend to spend their nights chatting at the bar or with the bartenders. Once I was greeted I was offered a menu which I ended up ordering 1 very spicy pint size cesar. My friend was having troubles finding the place so I offered to leave my credit card and that I would return shortly. Which we did. Once my friend and I returned we sat back at the bar on the end near the bathrooms. We immediately shared laughter and had to tell our bartender that its been 13 years and its a reunion. As you do when you tell your server its your birthday. My friend asked with a smile on his face, what are your specials today and or what do you recommend I try. He is not someone to endalge in fancy drinks. Mind you, he is on vacation. We ordered two Palomas. They were delicious. He ordered a second one shortly after the first. We already had our menus and planned to spend our evening there and enjoy dinner. As I told him this place has great food, I come here often. Heres where it gets interesting. The bartender, who I strongly believe without a doubt in my mind had the worst and most uncalled for response to us saying to one another Lets have some drinks and eat in an hour. replied: were not a bar, and if you have too many drinks on your bill without food we cant serve you. This is within 15 mins of being inside the restaurant. An absolute disgrace. Her judgment in the matter was very uncalled for. I replied back to the bartender that was a bit early to say to us. As we had only 1 and 2 drinks each. AGLC does not require you to have to say this to your customers unless they portray actions of intoxication and behaviour as such. She was rude. Her body language was rude. I asked her what was the reason for saying two times that this is not a bar its a restaurant. The kicker.. after we then felt the need to leave and that we were unwelcome. She then decided doing cutlery on tables was better than seeing if your customers would like anything else. She avoided us and I had to ask a rude server for our bill as we decided to take our business to the Cactus Club nearby. When she brought the bill I asked her how long she had been there for and if she knew the regulars, so and so and after all the many evenings spent at Browns drinking with them without food on our tabs just hundreds and hundreds of dollars spent over the years, why is it we were sought out. After paying our bill and STILL tipping her 15% because its the right thing to do regardless of the horrible experience. We got up to leave and were then told by a young, immature boy / server to say theres a bar down the road. Was the icing on the cake to never return to Browns Social Hall again. I hope this experience teaches you to really train employees to learn proper judgment skills with AGLC protocol at hand, respect and kindness. We live in a society where judging is the easiest thing next to racism and hatred. I reached out to some of the staff that work there and they responded with I cant believe this happened to you. I hope you file a complaint, you didnt deserve this. Thank you for the many years of enjoyment in your facility and the memories made. --

This is our go to place to take family and friends. The menu has something for everyone and the food is always good. Great service and friendly atmosphere.

Food was great, atmosphere music was a bit loud. Service was okay, at start kept coming by to see what we wanted to drink. Decided on water n lemon. After that didnt see him glass was empty for quite awhile then another server top it up. Guess it would of been better if we were drinking alcohol

I love this place. Social hour specials are great. But I heard disturbing news. The Chicken and Pickles is going away? Say it aint so! Thats my go to! My daughter will never want to return. Please rethink this. At least keep it as a special order thing. You may lose customers over this.

Not a large selection of food But what we ordered Steak Blacken Chicken Cauliflower Bites They were great. Find parking that isnt 7.50 for 2 hrs

Had dinner with friends on 4/21/2024. Not too busy, service was terrific, not pushy, water was always full. We had burgers and fish tacos, both very delicious..will be going back for sure Parking: paid street parking or free 2 hr street parking a couple of blocks away

Food was great, hot and prompt. Staff are super friendly! It was quiet when we went (Sunday evening) but it is still an inviting and friendly atmosphere. Wheelchair accessibility: Set of two stairs to get immediately on the doors.

Chicken and pickles, all desserts Parking: Theres paid street parking right outside and a parking lot next door (still not sure if the restaurant is included in the 1 hour free parking here)

I come here all the time. This Sunday I sat at the bar and neither of the two bartenders even acknowledged me. Never got to order and walked out after 20 minutes. Disappointing experience this time but is usually pretty good.

Sophia at the front desk. Was exceptionally friendly. I was just looking for coffee for my Uncle who had just had surgery. There were no places around the hospital open that had coffee. She made a new post if coffee but apologized that she had to put it in a soup cup as they do not have to go. I took the coffee to my uncle and he was amazed by the service I received. Ive eaten here many times, but usually just get takeout. The food is always amazing, regardless of if its eaten at the restaurant or at home. Fresh ingredients, tasty options, and usually quick service is common here. I find the menu could use some more options, but the food that is there is great!

Went to our lovely neighborhood Browns social house in the brewery district for breakfast this morning. I ordered orange juice for the first time with my poached eggs on avocado toast. My goodness! I wish I had ordered the orange juice all the time. This is the best- The very best orange juice I have ever tasted in my life. They make it fresh squeezed and it is well worth coming in to have a breakfast just for that. As well, the smashed avocado toast with poached eggs was super yummy.

2023 Jaunary UPDATE: Stopped in for lunch post soccer game at the Browns Social House in New West. Saturday afternoon and many tables occupied. Our party of 3 was seated right away. The place is clean and felt welcoming. The bathrooms are well stocked and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu. Two of us split the TIKI TUNA POKE BOWL [sesame chili dressing, avocado, pickled vegetables, sushi rice, ginger, thai basil, cilantro, jalapeño] and shared the CRISPY CAULIFLOWER (v) [charred jalapeno ranch, aged parmesan]. Both were delicious. My friend also ordered a HOLLYWOOD BURGER [cheddar cheese, special sauce, iceberg lettuce, pickle, tomato] which he really enjoyed. The food was good service excellent and restaurant inviting. We parked out front and paid for the street parking. I guess thats the norm in the area? 5/5 stars Tasty selections. Clean & well maintained. I removed a star due to my dietary restrictions and the servers failure to respect and understand those despite my trying to explain. That said, i was one of 13 in a group and everyone enjoyed their meals and the food did look wonderful. Fresh and well prepared.

Solid location of the chain to go to near RCH. Calamari and crispy cauliflower was crunchy and not oily, and were evenly battered. Burger was fairly standard, and good overall, and the fish tacos were great and crispy as well. For my taste, the house greens on the side had a bit too much dressing, and I would ask for it on the side in the future if possible. The fries were the only thing I would ve liked to be more crispy. Overall a good location and I would come back if I m in the area in the future!

My mom has been in the hospital for an extended stay and Brown s has saved us on many fish dinner nights in the hospital. Food was always ready on time, easy to order and delicious! So grateful to have them close by so we can get her some real food!

The fish & chips were good. The fish was great--nice crunchy breading without being so thick as to overwhelm the fish. The chips were OK--the taste was very good but the texture was a little mushy. The service was excellent!

Decent Browns, what else is there to say? Booths have hooks for jackets. The ceaser salad is solid, lots of bacon and a little anchovy in the dressing. The blackened chicken that came with it was a little too salty. Food : 4/5

The food looks amazing but tastes bad, the fish and chips were ok and the hot wings had way to much vinegar, you could smell it from the kitchen. Oreo dessert was only good thing about it. No hot drinks

Parking: Great

Asides from the bar manager Natalie who was fantastic, we had terrible service. Left and ignored for almost 25 minutes multiple staff looked at us and walked past, had to go to the bar to pay the tab.

Happy hour is strongly recommended. Peach draft is my recommendation out of Stanley Park choices. Parking is available at the front for cheaper than any other Imparks around.

One of the best Browns locations. Nice open feel with great service. Came for lunch and service and food was too notch.

We would like to commend our server Kathy for absolutely outstanding service today (Sunday, May 21st). She is a huge credit to your establishment. We had just come from visiting our son in-law who has had a heart attack and is scheduled foe open heart surgery. My wife was quite upset and Kathy noticed it right away. As I mentioned her very personal assistance helped tremendously. I would also like to add our previous visit on Thursday, May 18th. We were served by a very personable young man. we unfortunately we dont have his name, but he went out of his way to assist my wife who was quite upset. His Dad had previously had a heart attack so he understood her condition. Koodos to both these young employees of your restaurant. Barry Tyson

Tonight was meh. They served us stale nachos and we had to send it back. We were also excited to have dessert and they said that they didnt have carrot cake even though it was on the menu. The service was great and the Bellinis were good but, overall the food wasnt up to Browns usual standards.

The salads and burgers are very good, much better than other restaurants of the same level. However, parking is a problem, and access to the restaurant is also inconvenient for disabled people.

I enjoy this location above the others even though its farther for me to go. Waitress was great. Food and alcohol selection was good. Nice ambience.

Still warm and welcoming as ever. Close to skytrain. Wide enough menu choices. Can accommodate bigger groups. Outdoor patio in front and on the side. $30/person average cost.

I went to a birthday dinner with a party of about 12 people and had an excellent experience! We got a bunch of appetizers which were delicious and despite having a large number of people, the seating was comfortable and more spacious than I expected. Our server Diane really made the biggest difference. She was so welcoming and wonderful, her fantastic service has made me consider this Browns the go-to option for our next night out. Thank you!

I have been to Brown s multiple times, love the vibe of the place. But, the last time I went the server was not really interested in serving and was kind of rude.

The wings werent as good as I remember... but the service was great, had to wait for hours bc of hospital stuff and they were nice the while time.

Our server (Ashlyn) had such a bad stinking attitude, and I dont know for what reason. We were so confused. The whole time she didn t even come back to check on us to make sure if we needed anything. We were moving our necks around to look for her, just so silly. The moment she came back, she didn t even say anything when she arrived at the table and just picked up cutlery and was about to leave until I stopped her and asked for the bill. We would ve sat for a bit more to chill and have a conversation but it just ruined the whole vibe. I understand sometimes someone has a long day but it s not okay to ruin someone else s night. The nachos were soggy. The Garlic parmesan fries were really good, I ll give them that.

Beat service and very friendly staff. The Browns in New Westminster is one of my favourite places to visit.

Brought my friend for a lunch on her birthday this Monday and was very disappointed. First af all, we walked in with the ballon and roses and our server would not even care if there was a special occasion. Secondly, the food lost its quality over the year. Santa Fe salad had a chunks of cabbage that you can t even chew. Lastly, I asked for a surprise cake with candle and server loudly repeated twice about the candle that ruined the whole surprise and he would not even care to wish a happy birthday. I have been to many other s restaurants and the dessert is usually complimentary and services on special occasions as well.

Best restaurant ever!

Even though I ve visited Brown s before (and actually multiple times), I hadn t been to the location in New West and wanted to give it a try. The experience was once again great - the vibe is nice, the food is delicious and well cooked, the staff super friendly and polite. I m definitely going to visit again.

The food was good. But we waited 25 minutes for the bill.

Had to adjust my work hour today, so getting off at RCH around dinner time naturally led me to Browns for dinner. I ordered a steak and frites as well as a Bellini. Bellini is delicious, the steak took longer than anticipated. When my steak came, another staff who is not my server brought the dish over, and she placed the steak & frites dish literally across from me. I was surprised and found that very weird, as I was eating by myself and is not a shared dish. I also didn t have any book or laptop that occupy the dining space right in front of me. I ve never had server done that before, so I don t know what her deal is. The fries are hot and crunchy, but the steak is salty, chewy and cooked more than a medium rare. For a bill that comes over $55 per person, while I don t expect fine dine gourmet, I definitely expect better steak and dining experience.

Went to this Browns social House for lunch with the coworker. Good atmosphere enjoy the music and wasnt overly busy. Food came in a reasonable time and pricing was within reason. No issues, parking on the street was paid $6 for 2hr, but elevator to the right side of door takes you underground if you dont want to walk in rain. Or parking is hard to find which can be accessed near the Starbucks which is located around the corner of building.

Ordered the burger with soup. The soup is quite good and so does the burger. Better than average for me (my standard is high). The service is great and the atmosphere is better than average... it gets a bit loud when there is lots of people but expected I believe

The food was awful. Fish and chips were damp. The food in the bowl was also damp due to the ingredients. And the amount of food was little compared to other locations. Parking: Food is not worth paid parking

We had a disappointing experience at this Browns location. When we asked to make a reservation for seven people, the woman said that we should go to other places in the neighborhood and obviously wasn t happy to host our group. When we arrived, they placed us on the outside patio with which was extremely cold. One of our friends caught a cold after and the staff were not accommodating to improving the situation or our experience in any way.

Theyve really gone downhill... it used to be our go-to place on call at the hospital. Portions are 3/4 to half of what they were a few months ago. Picture is showing takr out bowl is half filled. They changed the recipe of the dragon bowl which was a terrible idea... tastes like a frozen dinner now. Super disappointed.

Today was my first time trying this location of browns. I ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo without bacon or chicken. The pasta came out really good, the toasted bread wasnt really toasted lol that was kind of weird , but it a fine. I ordered two cocktails and both were super yummy. Our waitress wasnt the nicest. She wasnt super helpful or the customer service just wasnt amazing. I asked her about different drinks I should get and there wasnt a ton of response from her. She looked like she didnt even want to be there. I was in a group of 7. Idk I wasnt super happy. Would return for the food but not for the service.

We love to come to Browns Socialhouse. We their food. Service is always very good. They welcome you so nicely. Food is very tasty. We ordered food for take out from here during snow. The food was ready in 20 mins. We came here to pick up grabbed the food, it was packed very well and it was warm till we reached home. Would come back again to enjoy the dine in experience. Vegetarian options: We love their vegetarian bowl. Its very tasty. Parking: Its on the main road. There is street parking but it is always not available.
