We both had the smoked salmon eggs Benny and they were perfect! The service is super helpful and friendly too. I definitely will come back as itβs on the way to my physiotherapist and I love brunch. If you enjoy good food and brunch food (Iβm sure the rest of the menu is as good), definitely come here! As a treat we also had peppermint hot chocolate. So good!
Delicious food beautiful plating! The pancakes are light and fluffy, the small potatoes (hash browns) are a nice change. The brioche French toast topped with mascarpone delightful. The eggs benny, gets a thumbs up. It is a bit pricey for the New Westminster crowd but definitely worth every penny.Once you have tried it youβll want to go back again!
Had the breakfast wrap but I got it with vegetarian sausage instead of regular (as they didnβt have nearly as many vegetarian options as I saw online). Pretty sure they gave me vegan egg even though I explicitly asked not for vegan egg. The only decent thing on plate was the potatoes. The ratio of egg to sausage was so off. (See picture). The salad tasted rotten. The menu stated that the dish comes with βfruitsβ both my boyfriend and I received a singular piece of pineapple as our βfruitsβ. Waiter didnβt check on us once so I didnβt have an opportunity to complain. They brought the bill out without us asking which made us feel a bit rushed. Not coming back this is the most disappointing brunch I have ever hadβ¦ Also saw a review mentioning to read their fraser health inspection. Went ahead and did that, shocked to say the leastβ¦
Weβve been here a couple of times and have enjoyed it. Today we visited and noticed a different menu with higher prices, fair, considering the cost of everything nowadays in the industry. My food came with cold sunnyside up eggs and I asked for new hot ones, which were brought. About 1/2 way through I noticed this red piece under lettuce and initially assumed it was a pepper. Upon quick investigation realized it was a piece of silicone and the waitress confirmed it was indeed a piece of their tongs. Never will visit again especially after also reading the health inspector reports from earlier this year.
Cozy ambiance and friendly staff. The menu offered a perfect balance of classic brunch favorites and creative new dishes. I opted for the Hungry Breakfast with poached eggs, and it was perfectly prepared π will definitely visit again π
Went here with my girl and with our friends, got entertained and got seated right away. Service was excellent, took our orders in and got our food quickly and the vibe was really awesome. Will definitely comeback here again, would recommend the tater tots(bussin). Friendly staff, food prices were great, food tastes way on top of the roof, and food quality is 1000%. Credits to the Chef(Jude), the kitchen staff, and servers for making our day βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
The best thing I can say is that thereβs lots of space on the patio here. Unfortunately the food left quite a lot to be desired: I ordered the easy breakfast which arrived with unbuttered toast and no fruit, despite fruit being included in the menu description. I finally got 3 sad pieces of fruit about half an hour after we began eating. My partner had the chicken & waffles. The chicken strips are tossed in a sweet & spicy sauce and served alongside coleslaw. Waffles were clearly frozen, not fresh and the dish just didnβt make sense together overall. We were really disappointed by the whole experience especially because weβve eaten here before and itβs been good. Have to imagine this is the result of new owners or some cost-cutting measures.
The staff was incredibly friendly - our waitress was friendly and frequently checked up on us. We were slightly disappointed in the food. The chicken and waffles was not as expected - it was served with thin chicken tenders coated in the sauce of your choice. The pork benedict could use more hollandaise sauce on it. The kids pasta was done with macaroni.. Might have been better with spaghetti. However, I can see this place being a good place for friends to catch up at with a couple of drinks. Maybe their burgers are better? The vibes were nice and cozy.
Everything was perfect! The Burger was so delicious and the servers were super friendly
One of the best places in Vancouver. The service is unbeatable and the food incredible.
The new manager is so amazing, and the service was absolutely wonderful. Definitely recommend coming here as the food and all of the above is 10/10.
Food was amazing, our server was so sweet and kind! Would definitely come here again!!
Came here for my birthday it was nice a friendly and pleasant place. The new manager was very kind and made me feel very special on my special day.
The best brunch in all Vancouver, the food was very delicious and the staff very friendly. I would come back soon.
I recommend the Big Boy Rap, it is very delicious and a big dish. almost for two people is full food. I love it
We had a great time, Annais was the best server and recommended us a delicious meal. Great service and great food. Definitely worth the price for the attention. #tbt
They warmly seated us despite being close to last call
Bruncheria was the best spot to go for brunch. Their food was high and quality and their service was amazing. I highly recommend checking them out for a cozy, social vibe while enjoying delicious food!
The food here is never disappoints and the service is unbelievable! Love it here and come back always! Its a lovely place for a long dine in as the espresso martinis, and Caesars flow quickly!
Had an absolutely beautiful brunch with my girlfriends. Staff and food was absolutely exceptional; we had a lovely time. A perfect place for day drinking I recommend the espresso martini!!!
Top shelf day drinking with girlfriends!! Excellent food, excellent service, so friendly. I particularly recommend the espresso martinis. Yum. Food : 5/5
The food was delicious and it was a cute and cozy place. Service could have been better, our server kind of abandoned us by the end, not bringing our bills until we were visibly getting up to leave. But the owner (I m assuming) was very friendly and overall it was a the perfect little place to grab breakfast!!
Excellent ! Loved it. Food it s just perfect! Stuff nice and friendly. Food : 5/5
I like my food saucy and not dry but these sauces were pretty runny my plate looked like soup. Couldnt even put my sandwich down. Delicious though
food and service is top notch 10/10 would recommend to my peers this weekend i ordered the adobo burger and it was the best thing i ve had Food
I don t have anything bad to say about the food, but the service. Last time I went there I felt like they were doing me a favor , the server was not friendly, had a rude attitude, and she did things reluctantly, which was clear from her facial expressions. We had to order our drinks several times, when I ordered a particular item on the menu she told me that the kitchen was too busy for that, which I said I was willing to wait. She finally agreed while rolling her eyes. Since that moment we were totally ignored by her. We used to go roughly 3 times a month but after this awful experience it will be our last.
updated review : recent menu changes have drastically reduced the number of vegan options available. really sad and unfortunate to see. prices keep going up but the variety of plant based options is going down (from 6 great options to 1 that looks like science food) we used to order brunch from here every weekend without fail and loved coming in now & again but all of the 1 vegan option looks extremely unappetizing that vegan benny? absolutely not. dont even get me started on the brunch veggies (boiled to mush and unseasoned). theyve taken a really weird turn with their menu & business. i was once fine to pay the $20+ (within a year, the price jumped from around $18 to almost $25) for a delicious and filling vegan breakfast wrap but apparently they are no longer able to source the same ingredients... there was nothing complicated in that wrap, dont lie you just dont care to cater to vegans anymore. additionally, WHERE is the beer garden? its been years! and day & night? the latest theyre open is 4pm. yall are a joke, not funny haha, funny weird and sad.
I was here the other day with my son after participating in the trick or treat East Columbia st and the staff are so incredibly sweet and attentive, the food was great! The bathroom was very clean. They where even kind enough to give my son a Halloween treat. I would recommend this all the time just based of customer service alone.(the food was great)
Fantastic brunch spot! Great atmosphere with a nice patio (though it was too cold for that today). The service was fast and friendly, checking up on us often and preemptively asking if we wanted the bill, which was appreciated. The breakfast burger was incredible, with bacon, aoli, avocado, and egg on top accompanied by crispy potatoes. Highly recommend checking it out and I will absolutely be back.
I love you guys thanks for the carrots
Used Uber for an Easy breakfast. Im vegetarian so I loved the option for avocado in place of meat. Overall everything needed a bit more seasoning but still delicious. Will definitely order again Food : 4/5
Brunch is amazing! Great selections. Very good food with top quality ingredients. Fast service and great location. Will make it a regular spot.
No care is taken with the food. The place smelled like a mop in the hall. I ordered 3 brunch items and there were no vegetables in any of them, everything was instant, fried food took up most of the space, and the bread was like a rock that we couldnt put a fork in. There were no customers... I think they need to pay more attention to the food.
Not as good as it used to be. They also stopped offering donuts a while back, which was their best thing
Cute brunch spot with a great menu! Liquor menu is limited though.
Chill spot but not enough parking. The smoked salmon eggs Benny was so good they make a really nice hollandaise with a more lemony taste to it it was great Vegetarian options: They have plenty of veg options and vegan alter as well Parking: There isn t many parking spots Kid-friendliness: Yes kids are welcome but more importantly the patio lets you bring dogs and they have dog water bowls (many-and clean)
I had their half BBQ special and a Spanish latte. The BBQ special was huge! The espresso in the latte was good quality and rich.
I had a fantastic experience here with my boyfriend! I enjoyed the eggs benedict, which were perfectly cooked medium, and the hollandaise sauce was simply divine. My boyfriend loved his pancakes they were exceptional! I typically don t like Spanish lattes, but this one was truly delicious. The service was exceptional as well, making our visit even more enjoyable. I absolutely recommend this place!
I brought my abandoned dog here today to eat at the Brunchria cafe. But my dog was abandoned by a man, and when the man server approached, it barked really loudly, but the man server served me with the utmost smile. The food I ordered was chicken veni and classic beni. It tasted so good. I think theres a reason why there are so many people coming.
We dropped by and the food was amazing. Fast/good service.
The service was impeccable! our server louise is very accommodating and the food was really great!
amazing service, amazing food! Would definitely come back again
Went with my friends for a brunch, really good service, food is fantastic and incredible atmosphere.. Also the people that works there are very lovely, ordered omelette and its outstanding.. Will definitely go back here again...
Edit - Bruncheria was sold, so Dan is no longer the owner. Its still good, but without Dan, its just not the same. Im biased. Allow me to explain. We found Bruncheria at their old location, pre-pandemic. I was starving one night and we ordered breakfasty grilled cheese sandwiches off of the original late night menu they had. Clearly they put crack in the eggs, because it was 11/10. Then the world went crazy, and most companies struggled, but those companies were not run by Dan, the guy who owns this place. He was always so quick to adapt his business model and menu to what the people wanted. He basically ran it as a ghost kitchen for a while. Were lazy, and dont cook, so we order in a lot, and are obviously obsessed with breakfast/brunch. We have ordered breakfast from every place you can imagine. After ordering breakfast from Bruncheria, we were ruined for everything else. There is not a single restaurant in the lower mainland that makes breakfast better, and certainly none that do delivery at that A-tier level. I lowkey feel like we pay Dans rent with how much we order. Then they moved. Its a gorgeous location, albeit slightly farther away from us *shakes fist at sky*... But, even with the move the menu only expanded, and Dans service is top tier. I wouldnt call this an economical place, but the food is definitely better than what you pay for it, so in my eyes its a steal. Did I mention that Im a vegetarian? But like, one of those sad ones that misses meat, and Dan even has a FULL vegetarian/vegan menu and they use the same addiction inducing crack in his veggie meats. My partner cant eat pork, but oh wait, Dan has Turkey bacon. Somebody give this man a prize, because this is the only restaurant that makes me uncontrollably angry if I wake up too late to order brunch on the weekend. Its also family run, like Dan has his whole family in there. Stop reading this, go order already. Vegetarian options: They have everything. You can have all the restrictions and be fine. Dietary restrictions: Gluten issues/celiac? Youre fine. Vegan? Youre fine. Dairy issues? Youre fine. Parking: Surrounding the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: It doesnt feel too adult to bring your kids, but its definitely more upscale than Coras/Dennys. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps anywhere there is a level change, but its all basically one level.
Restaurant staff are not honest
We really enjoy this place a lot. Its very comfortable with a few different seating areas. We normally opt to sit inside as thats our preference. The food is very good and well presented, the portions are great for the prices. Servers are always very knowledgeable and friendly. We try and go here at least once a visit when we are on the mainland.
A rastaurant is not clean and hygienic
I used to love this place. The deep fried avocado were amazing, but they changed the menu and not for the better. The food is not good but the prices stayed the same. There used to be a lineup to get in and now it s half empty when I drive by. Not sure if it s a new owner and reason for the menu change but wish it went back to the place I loved and frequented.
I loved some of the options on the old menu; can you bring them back please? The avocado grilled cheese And avocado benny with real egg, cheese and arugula
We used to order here multiple times a week through Uber eats with the previous owners. The quality has gone down so much with the new owners. Every other order has an error and they keep changing the ordering options and combinations online making it harder and harder for us to order what weve been ordering for years now.
Great experience! We went for brunch with our dog for her birthday. Extremely friendly staff. Great Bennie s and spicy Cesar! Would highly recommend.
Was excited to try this place but was sorely disappointed. The coffee was disgusting and expensive. I ordered a simple black coffee and they dont offer milk, only cream. Never experienced that at a restaurant before. Your meal comes with fruit on the side. I literally got two small pieces of cut up fruit.. the toast was literally what seemed like the end pieces of a bag of bread. All together the meal was very expensive and was absolutely not worth it.I wont ever come back.
Bruncheria is a good spot with a super chill and cool atmosphere! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, which included the delicious Bennys and breakfast burger. The hashbrowns were a highlight - crispy and flavorful! Our waiter was fantastic, adding to the overall great experience. We really liked it here and cant wait to come back! :)
Lovely
It was good but I don t like the taste of chicken. They were nice as well.
Kind of Cafe style, empty and dead. Food was not bad but drinks, different story (aperol spritz too diluted, just water with a colore)
Great
Excellent filling food. Kind staff.
1 person sat me, 1 took my order, and 1 served. I ordered soup and grill cheese with fries. They both came together after sitting under the heater as no one seemed to be assigned to my table. Lots of servers walking around. The grill cheese was on a bun, and the cheese was without taste. It was a greasy mess. A bowl of soup was $10! It was tasty. Strange place, no ethnicity apparent, strange menu, I wont be back.
Super friendly server, and he deserves recognition for being able to manage almost all the tables himself. Food was surprisingly great for the cuisine they were offering.
Fantastic service and everyones dishes (8 people) were delicious. Would recommend for sure.
This place deserves a higher rating. I had the chicken benny, it was great! They had live jazz on the patio which was nice to have on. This place is mint! Will be back
Well done , highly recommend. Kid-friendliness: Yep & pet friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Yeah
We arrived at 11:20am on a Sunday, were seated relatively quickly. We then ordered our drinks and food pretty much right away and received the drinks at a decent speed, but that s where anything good about Bruncheria ended. After about 30 minutes the server came by, after seeing me staring at her, looking for some sort of reasoning for the delay. The reasoning given: Sorry, we only have 2 people in the kitchen. Sorry, that s a Bruncheria problem, not an us problem. If this business wants to only pay 2 people to cook on a busy Sunday of a long weekend, I don t know what kind of reviews they expect to receive. Or how many people they expect to return. We waited for 45+ minutes before telling them to pack up our food when it was ready, we were done with this experience and just wanted to get out of there, to which a different server yelled at us from across the room it s literally ready now. Too little, too late. I m surprised this restaurant is still open with this level of service. I don t blame the servers, I blame the owners and managers. That said, we were never asked if we wanted to order more drinks, not that we would because it almost seems like maybe that Bruncheria s M.O., make people wait a hell of a long time so that they have to buy more than one drink. The food was fine, but not worth the price. I will not be back and will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. We have had bad service other places and they have at least made some effort to turn the experience around, ie comping an item, but nothing, just garbage service.
We really enjoyed brunch on a Saturday morning. There was live jazz music which made a lovely ambiance. The bennys were delicious! Love that you can get a half order.
Thank you!! We really enjoyed. Food was GOOD! I believe we ordered the breakfast burger ( dont remember the name ), for my daughter it was too big, but she liked it. We will definitely come back!
This was the worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant. The coffee cream was rotten. My ceaser was just clam and vodka. My salad leaves were rotten. The sausage was uncooked. The grilled veg was raw. Eggs were poched hard on the Benny. Avocado was hard as a rock. Pulled pork was so sweet that is was not edible. When we pointed these things out our server said sorry and asked us to pay for our barely picked at meals. I would recommend never eating at this restaurant. There is no other word to use than just GROSS!!
The wait was the food was an hour. However the food was tasty
Lovely little place, server definitely went the extra mile to ensure we were extra happy. Will definitely come again.
Overall it was a good experience but the food was disappointing. Sausages were undercooked even though they were ordered to be butterflied and well done, eggshells in the egg. Staff were gracious and immediately made efforts to set it right. Which was appreciated but didnt seem like it should have been necessary for a basic breakfast at a breakfast spot, for a fairly high price point There were enough positives that I would try it again in hopes of a better food experience.
Music inside and outside too loud the waitress got my order wrong and the eggs weren t cooked very good. Definitely over priced
Servers were very nice and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious . Patio is well maintained. Vegetarian options: MultipleOptions to choose from
Slow service, prioritize take out orders and leave dine in long wait
Lovely people at this place, good food and vegan options. Will be going here more often.
Great food, fair prices and good service
ordered easy start and benedict with my friend, everything was fresh and bacon was very crispy and good roasted veggies were especially very good !! pricing is very fair and servers were very kind, will be bringing my kids next time !!
Second order from them, Left out eggs of order twice, when I called back they said theres nothing they can do. Food
We came here for brunch and loved the food and service. Huge portions, friendly service, reasonable prices. Will come again.
It was a patio heavy place so great for a summer day. It borders two busy intersections so if traffic noise is not your ambience maybe give it a miss. The food was pretty and generous, tasty but not award winning. Service was good for the most part. Would we come back, likely not as there are so many other brunch places to try that are less on the noisy side.
My husband and I have driven past this place a few times & finally made time to stop! We re so glad! It was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly! We will most definitely be back. Thank you!
Ive been here twice now because I live down the road and the food is mediocre. The service was terrible though, we had to literally get up and find our server if we wanted a refill of coffee or the bill. She didnt check her section at all and would walk to one table with the coffee pot and not check another tables while she was at it. Not great
They couldn t arrange the tables for a long time so we couldn t sit outside even there was a table and when we were able sit, they brought our breakfast so late and when they do pancake was uncooked and they said they re going to cook and bring them again but they never did. I don t think I will come back
Good brunch spots with a nice selection of savoury and sweet brunch options. Some of the highlights are crispy hash brown and breakfast bowls that come with roast veggies. Love the options available for drinks too!
I love the one I ordered which is the easy breakfast bowl , but customer service was really slow and not having a good impression.
Great food (huge portions, so order less than you think youll eat lol) and excellent service and locale. My go to brunch/lunch spot
Good service nice presentation
Lovely spot for brunch on a sunny Resurrection Sunday
Didnt get to eat yet. Just paused to grab a cold beer on the patio on a sunny day. May come back. Friendly staff. Seems like a nice place. Small but good quality beer selection.
Nice small place for a meal Parking: Easy to park. Food : 5/5 |
We had a great brunch here and will definitely be returning.
Food is great. Even better is the Filipino chef with the tattoos. Wow eye candy making the food taste better
Sunday brunch for 3. Servers were pleasant. It was about 1pm when we ordered, took about half an hour. My egg white omlette with spinach was ok, but one end seemed slightly undercooked. My friend said the potatoes with her benny were greasy. My husband had a breakfast bowl with jackfruit instead of meat. The jackfruit didnt have much flavor, a bbq or enchilada sauce might be good. Atmosphere was ok, like a simple diner. Parking limited, but not too difficult to find. Not a bad experience, but not a rave.
Dietary restrictions: Im unable to eat soy or anything with dairy but indulged with a friend with her baby. Waitress was kind and informative Recommended dishes
A truly hidden gem. The food is amazing and incredible value. Staff is great too!! Definitely recommend!
First time trying this place... we were seated soon enough and were given cup of coffee to start. Placed our order right after and went on with our family talks and life updates. Unfortunately we didnt realize that we havent had our orders when we noticed that the other people who came in way after we arrived and seated got their orders already. At that point weve been waiting for over an hour. We were disappointed and asked the hostess where our orders were. Apparently, it got missed.. I was like,What?!!!? Was it our fault that we did not follow up right away? To make up for missing/forgetting our orders, she said our orders were on the house. We couldve enjoyed our food if it was not for this incident. Sigh. Ill let you be the judge. The food was good and price was reasonable.
Fries were awesome. Even our picky kiddo loved em. New west burger was awesome. Food
Potato s amazing, eggs perfect, waffle amazing and pulled pork amazing just a little sweet. 10/10
Absolute gas 10/10 will gatekeep Vegetarian options: Yeah there is Food : 5/5 |
Stopped here for breakfast this morning and it did not disappoint! Staff were friendly & service was fast! Had the eggs Benny with hashbrowns and it was great!
Not a bad word to say. Everything from the service to the food was outstanding. Stopped in to visit a friend and seated immediately around 10:45 Saturday morning. Place was probably at about 80% capacity but soon filled up really fast! Service was so attentive from the moment we walked in. And seriously? Is everyone there ridiculously good looking? Seems so! I had the avocado toast (with eggs), friend the breakfast wrap and My Guy opted for the basic breakfast I think it was called? Only slight complaint was the avo toast was dry. A dollop of butter on that toast prior to piling up the goodies would be amazing. Eggs were so fluffy! Coffee nice and dark roasted. Food was well presented, fresh, reasonably priced and didnt leave us wanting for anything. Our server was so friendly and even complemented My Guy on his cool mustache. I love those little bits...personalizes the experience.
Had the eggs Benedict and the ham was as tough as jerky. The English muffin underneath wasnt much better. In fact, I think the only thing on it that wasnt a day old was the poached eggs. My wife had the chicken and waffles and the waffles were so cold the butter hadnt melted. They were cold and hard. They sat us under the electric heat pump and my wife was happy because her back was against the wall but, the heat pump was blowing right in my face. I thought I was gonna pass out. The service was excellent though, no knocks against that. The food was terrible.........and I ate it anyway. Waste not, want not.
Retro Vibes Dinner, delicious food!!!
Super busy when I went, waitresses didnt have much time per table. Food was okay, not great. Over cooked pancakes and waffles. Eggs and meats were good though
Excellent Service! Excellent Food!! Become a Bruncherian!!
Went here for the first time after seeing the meddling reviews. The place is quite small and when we went it was not very busy. Our food took a very long time for breakfast but was pretty good once we got it. Service seemed pretty slow overall despite the place being not all that big. The price of the food was reasonable but drinks were on the pricier side in comparison. Overall I would say a solid place to go for a cheap bite but dont expect to get in and out in a hurry.
I love this kind of place to have a brunch or breakfast. Definitely will go back. The service was amazing.
Not my best experience during my last visit. Too lengthy to type all that went wrong. Simply: server forgot components of our orders; forgot to come back and take a late arrivals order; my eggs benny were mediocre at best
Shoutout to desiree. One of the sweetest person there. Food has been always good too
Great spot for breakfast/lunch,
Desiree was our server. She was very attentive, friendly and accommodating to our requests. One of the best servers I ve ever had! Slay
Everything was so good had the breakfeast wrap
Called ahead for a group of 4 because I heard of the lineups and we were on a time crunch and they said they will be able to get us in. Got there stood around outside for 15 minutes nobody even came out to get our names or tend to the line tell us how long. Lineup got longer we continued waiting in the designated lineup area abd a lady told us they will get us inside in 5 mins then another said oh I don t know how long then and after 45mins of being given the run around they came out and told the whole line they couldn t accommodate us and turned everyone away!! We came from delta and surrey!! The worst service and so disorganized if they were short staffed they should not have told us to come and tell us we will get in no problem! Wasted so much of our time and trek out there!
Picked up brunch today, weve ordered through uber eats before and were super happy with everything. We ordered through their online menu today. There was pulled chicken juice all over the bottom of the bag and I had it on my Lap the drive home. Ate half my breakfast sandwich and realized the sausage was undercooked as was the hashbrown inside it. Literally had to put it in the air fryer myself to reheat. Super dissapointed and annoyed, what a waste or $40.
Enjoyed lovely patio seating with brunch and some love music (jazz festival weekend), plan to come back again hopefully soon. Takeout also available. Limited parking area so seats can get full quickly.
Lovely spot to go to on a sunny day. Great service and obsessed with all the vegan/vegetarian options. I tried the vegetarian eggs Benedict and it was pretty good. Excited to try the vegan chicken sandwich next!
We have been to the restaurant for both Mother s and Father s Day and both times we had a lovely time. I like places that are group friendly as we usually go out with the whole family and sometimes it is difficult to find space for all of us. This one has a very nice cozy terrace and another one that can be pet friendly! Food is always good and even if they are super busy during the weekend they always provide a cordial service. Will go back soon.
It was OK. Service was good and having a patio for brunch is great but the food was meh. Breakfast topping = packaged jam. I think that sums it up.
Over the top, great food
Great local brunch spot.
Sign says day & night but they are never open. Always bollards blocking the parking lot. Love to try it but never get the chance. Someone should open a ghost kitchen in there if they are not going to use the place.
I had brunch here this morning, and the food was amazing. The meal I had was far superior to any Ive had elsewhere. The portions were plentiful and delicious. I definitely recommend it to everyone!
Vegan place to go!! I didnt dine in sadly but the take out process was breezy. I couldnt find the new updated menu anywhere but the person that helped me over the phone had no problem reading everything out to me with all the vegan substitutes i can do! We tried the just egg option, vegan pulled pork and vegan sausage as our vegan substitutes and they were amazing! Not the biggest fan of beyond meat anymore so this was such a great new option to try! For drinks we got the elderflower and iced chai tea with oat milk and they were awesome! Not the biggest fan of their parking situation but theres free parking on the street
Bruncheria was my number 1 go to! Except that they recently, maybe a week or two ago (or less) they changed almost their entire menu. I used to order a lunch bowl (potatoes, two eggs, quarter avocado, pulled chicken, two pieces of turkey bacon, Hollandaise sauce and vegetables made of mushrooms and zuccini). They no longer have that bowl, but have something similar, but without the bacon and without sauce (so i had to customize it a little bit)...and ended up with the exact same bowl for the exact same price as before without the bacon (which means it became more expensive now. I dont think they even have the turkey bacon anymore). And what I received was A CATASTROPHE!! THE WORST MEAL I EVER HAD! got runny eggs eventhough I asked for medium, the pulled chicken had absolutely different flavour which was very bad, and they put pieces of carrots instead of the veggies! carrots? what on earth is that? A living proof that chef changes/menu changes/management changes can deteriorate things! P.s , Im an experienced reviewer, hence, I am not giving such a review because Im used to a sepecific taste for a specific meal. Nope. If the meal tasted better than what Im used to, ill admit it. Im able to put my biasis aside and Judge a meal fairly. After almost 4 years of buying from Bruncheria....that was my last meal from them.
Great quality and big portions for a great price! Sweet deal, will be going back for brunch for sure
This place used to be quite good, I would order a brunch wrap/bowl nearly every weekend. Then they changed the menu, made most items more expensive, and the food quality also took a nosedive. The brunch wrap was barely edible last time I ordered, it felt like it had been made by a totally different cook with no idea how to make the item.
I came here with my friend and had a wonderful time! I was impressed by how everything tasted.
they used to be great but since they moved the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up, plus theyve changed the menu and removed a lot of good stuff, like the vegan bacon which I got on my wrap every week. :( update: they got more expensive and removed more of their vegan menu options, food quality continues to decrease and portions get smaller. used to be my favourite restaurant but Im giving up on it now
Food was fantastic but the service was virtually absent. Our server included gratuity in our receipt and didnt mention it, never checked on us or refilled anything, and got our orders wrong. The place wasnt busy either - they may have been understaffed which is fine, but nevertheless service for us was the worst part. The live music on the patio was very nice though! Dietary restrictions: Place does have plenty of vegan brunch options
After my woman and I were trying to decide where to go for brunch while in the area reviews brought us here and Ill be honest. It was a horrible choice for us. Everything looked good for the most part on reviews. Upon arrival the parking spots were to small to accomodate parking. And we waited over an hour for our food just to be disappointed on arrival. Worst eggs Benny Ive ever had. My 8 year old could make it better at home. No taste, very little sauce, the back back bacon was thinner than a slice of ham from a sandwich package. No butter on my woman toast, small portions. Not once were we checked on while we were eating to see how we were doing or what we thought. Staffing issues may be an issue here. We told the server we were unhappy after I went and tracked one down to pay the bill and all she said was they changed the Benny lately and people complained about it and was in a rush to get our bill and get us out of there after that. Unfortunately we are unhappy foodies who wont be back when we are in the area.
They changed the menu and not really a fan of it. The bacon for benny is too thin.
Changed the menu again. Less food. Same God awful price and got rid of fav menu items. Lost a loyal customer.
New menu is kind of disappointing, the old one was much better
I have come here to have brunch with my family three times. I have been blown away the menu selection and food quality. Very very tasty food. My mom really enjoyed weekend BBQ and my daughter loves their potatoes. Very friendly staff. Definitely this is my family s favorite spot.
It was good while it lasted! This was our GO TO brunch spot! Would always get the brunch bowl with pulled chicken and the wraps well, they changed the menu and it s NOT for the better! They took an incredible brunch bowl that was liked by a ton of our friends and butchered it! It s now drenched in some sort of teriyaki sauce that the whole meal sits in, runny eggs accompanied by Carrots and beats CARROTS with eggs?! The chicken is no longer pulled and more like teriyaki chicken! After a few bites I realized I couldn t eat anymore and voiced my opinion and assumed it would be taken off the bill since it had hardly been touched!! The server was kind and as helpful as she could but informed us that the chef will NOT be taking the dish off the bill Well thanks chef! And that s the end of that chapter They def lost a whole crew of people who were going there on a regular basis!
I use to always Uber the brunch bowl with pulled jackfruit. Jackfruit use to be super good, good amount of sauce and flavour. I dont know why the brunch bowls arent available on Uber eats anymore. Anyways I chose a build your own, and chose all the ingredients that would have been in the brunch bowl I usually ordered (I obviously realize some stuff would be slightly different). I noticed the roasted veggies were changed from bell pepper, Brussel sprouts and mushrooms to carrots and beets. So pretty much the cheapest veggies (also kind of a weird combo for breakfast foods) for the same price as the old ones. The egg and potatoes were good. The jackfruit was disappointing for the cost. I didn t end up eating it. Tasted weird and not marinated, not much sauce. I wouldn t say that it s pulled as half of the pieces are chunks. The photo is of the jackfruit (the yellow sauce is hollandaise that got on the jackfruit). The jackfruit is an extra 6.50 so I figured it would be edible but it wasn t in my opinion. I ve been getting food here regularly for the past few years and always recommend it to people so definitely disappointing.
I used to love this place, I would order at least 2x a week for a long time but since they ve changed the menu I will no longer spend my money here. The online ordering system is now super confusing and the food is no where near as good as it used to be. The food options have drastically changed and the vegan options now seem very lazy now. I m very disappointed! Dietary restrictions: Poor choice of vegan options Parking: Never any spaces to park and it s always full of Uber eats drivers
I got the avocado toast and my husband got the BBQ burger. Omg all so good. The avocado toasts salsa on top is to die for and the spicy sauce on the side is so yummy. I loved the eggs and hashbrowns and fruit as well. All just incredible. I cant believe I havent come here sooner as I keep hearing good things about it. The bbq burger was one of the best burgers we both have ever tasted!!!!
Bruncheria is an absolute treasure! My recent experience at this establishment was truly extraordinary. The moment I stepped foot inside, the welcoming and comforting ambiance enveloped me, making me feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond, exuding friendliness and attentiveness, ensuring that every aspect of our meal was flawless. Now, lets dive into the culinary delights. Oh my, where do I even begin? Bruncheria boasts a vast array of delectable dishes that cater to every palate. Whether your preference leans toward the sweet or savory, their menu has something to satisfy everyone. I cannot stress enough how much I recommend indulging in their signature brunch platter a harmonious symphony of fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, and a side of fresh fruit. Its truly a dream come true for any brunch enthusiast! What sets Bruncheria apart from its competitors is their meticulous attention to detail and inventive presentation. Each dish is a visual masterpiece, almost too beautiful to devour. However, fear not, as the flavors are even more exceptional than the visual appeal. The chefs at Bruncheria possess a profound understanding of how to elevate traditional brunch items into culinary works of art. And let us not overlook the prices. At Bruncheria, you receive exceptional value for your hard-earned money. The quality of the food and the generous portion sizes are unparalleled, especially when combined with the remarkable service you receive. In conclusion, I cannot emphasize enough how highly I recommend Bruncheria. Whether you seek the perfect weekend brunch destination or a cozy retreat for a mid-week indulgence, this establishment has it all. Its a hidden gem that deserves widespread recognition. Give it a try, and I assure you, you will not be disappointed. Parking: It s located at a small village with some parking lot
Honestly the worst service I ve ever experienced. It s a shame because the food is pretty good. Complete breakdown in all aspects it wasn t just one server. Save yourself a precious weekend brunch and go elsewhere
Service is the worst. Takes an hour before you get your food. And the food is just as what you can get at other brunch places. Tried the chicken and waffles everything looks like it was just the frozen stuffs and just earmed up in the oven.
This was our second time coming here and our last. We sat on the patio and got our drink order in quickly (but we had to bug our waitress for a carafe of water) and then waited 30 minutes before our order was taken. We tried to flag our waitress down but she disappeared once another group came in - we had to flag down a different waiter to get our order in. We then waited another half hour for our food to come out. Im usually understanding and am okay to wait at a restaurant when its busy but this was maybe 50% capacity on a Sunday. Once our food was out we only saw our original waitress when we waved her down to get some butter, syrup, and ketchup and even then we had to ask her twice! Our water carafe was never refilled during our visit, and we had to ask yet another waitress for our bill. Our original waitress didnt appear until after we had paid and were standing up to leave when she inexplicably asked us how our meal was tasting? The food is not terrible, so its a shame that the service was so poor.
Amazing little place with great food, huge portions and unbelievable service!!!!!
Ordered 2 dishes to go here, found a grey hair in both of them. Wasnt that bad tasting until we found the hairs, wont be returning.
Doordash takeout very fast
They kept us waiting outside even though there were tables inside and outside on the deck. Truthfully...they needed a couple of extra staff working through the Brunch hours. After all that is its name. My table mates enjoyed their food and I had the smoked salmon 2 Eggs Benny with avocado but the salmon was extremely salty and tasted like anchovies were mixed in with the salmon. Homefries were good, coffee was amazing. When you tell staff that everyone at your table likes extra cream, then they should bring you more than 2 creamers each. At $4.00 a cup dont cheap out on the cream!
So the wings werent fully cooked, but maybe the first one was just.... off. I ate a second, but nope, theyre not right. I send them back, and the kitchen microwaves the four wings left, and returns them to me. Didnt take them off the bill, didnt replace the ones I choked down. Didnt remake them. It was pathetic. Service was great - she did everything in her power to help. This was a kitchen and management problem.
Where did all the vegan options go
The new menu is just not as good as previous one I really want to know why they changed their menu.
I liked the jazz band. Hungry breakfast & coffee spanish were great. I recommend it.
They were unable to cook an egg, twice (ordered over easy came rock hard). Service was incredibly slow, even though it was only half full. Forgot the sausages for my bowl. Everything was very dry. Toast wasn t buttered. Even though I had to ask them to remake my eggs (and they still came back wrong) they did not offer any discount. We never saw the manager even though I saw the waiter go and talk to them (which is cowardly). Bad experience, bad food, would not recommend.
Ordered for pickup on Uber eats. We were told to wait 45min. We tried to cancel the order but the restaurant told us they cannot on their end. And so we waited but at pickup time the restaurant told us they did not prepare our order at all and we have to wait another 45min. Not only that but the manager was very very rude and unapologetic. Canceling on Uber eats on our side means being charged for the order as it shows the restaurant already started preparing. It doesnt matter how good your food is but if this is how you treat your customers, I dont think your business will live long. I dont know how you can have attitudes like that towards your customer when they have waited 45min and it is clearly a mistake in communication within your own staff.
Good little spot, not as big as it seems from the outside. Plenty of outside seating but it was raining when we went. Service was a bit slow, but it was busy. Food was good.
I used to come frequently to Bruncheria. Unfortunately, ever since the old menu was replaced, service and food quality has reduced. Vegetarian options becomes very limited. Any substitutions are subjected to charge. New staff were not as attentive. However, the brewed coffee remains consistent and tasty, and outdoor patio is very cozy and quiet at times. I am sure staff can be trained, but I hope there is consideration to bring back previous dishes.
We have been ordering from Bruncheria for years. We particularly loved their old store location as it was walking distance from our apartment but we kept going to them even when they moved further away. We typically don t eat in store as parking is limited and sometimes the service is a bit slow. We will order online, pick up quickly, and then go eat in the nearby park. We LOVED their old bowls. Out of all the items we tried, those were the best so they became our repeat order. I used to get the meat bowl and my partner the veggie bowl and we would add the smashed avocado. Awhile back they changed their menu to offer only one bowl with meat and veggie but it was still delicious. We craved this bowl and it kept us coming back time and time again :) Now they have changed the bowls again but this time for the worse. We were so incredibly disappointed with the new bowls. The new easy start bowl doesn t have pulled pork/chicken (need to get the pricer bowl - power start at $21.50), but even with the power start there s no hollandaise sauce, dry scrambled eggs instead of poached, a chunk of avocado instead of smashed and the veggies are not as good as they used to be. The new bowls are flavourless and bland - something we could easily make at home. Why mess with a good thing? I suppose we could order the power start and add things but at $21.50, that would be one pricey bowl! Needless to say we haven t been back and don t plan to anytime soon until they bring back their old bowls. I see a lot of other unhappy longterm customers mentioning the bowls as well something to seriously consider.
I used to order here all the time because they had a really good farmers sausage and sold doughnuts. Since then, they changed management and it s just not the same, they went cheaper with a lot of ingredients including the farmers sausage, and they no longer sell doughnuts. Those were the only reasons why I would come here but not anymore
So delicious and this much high quality food for just over $20?! Amazing! The staff was friendly and the patio was so nice on a sunny day
We love brunch food, and Bruncheria turned out to be a great place with a variety of brunch food options, and good choices of beer, wine and cocktails. Got the Hungry Breakfast and Classic Eggs Benedict with coffee. The portions were good for the price, the plating was much nicer than many brunch places. The waffles were really good and we appreciated that they let us sub the pancakes for more waffles instead. The breakfast potatoes and salad on the side were much tastier than I had anticipated and very flavorful. The hollandaise sauce for the Benedict was a bit mediocre and lacking though (not enough and not thick/creamy). We went on a hot summer Saturday to experience the nice, dog-friendly outdoor patio and live music that was shown on Instagram, but the patio was full and there was no music that day. When asked, the server wasn t very clear which days they would have music, so I guess it s not a set Saturday brunch thing like it was advertised online. All in all, a solid local brunch place that we will try again.
I had the chicken & waffle, which included 4 strips of deep fried chicken with Hawaiian sauce, it didnt look beautiful but it tasted good. My husband had the beef burger, while we were not impressed by the beef patty, the rest ingredients like bun, egg, veggie were on points. They seem very busy with Ubereats orders. Inside the restaurant seating was limited but they have a huge patio. 2 waitresses asked us the same question 4 times within 30 minutes of dining, so you may like it if you like that style of attentive serving.
Great little place for some decent breakfast/brunch!
Get the hungry man breakfast! I cant stress this enough, we had enough leftovers for breakfast the next day lol. Not sure why this place has such patchy reviews, we showed up for brunch on a Saturday, there were multiple parking spots available, got seated immedietly, and had our food arrive withing 10 mins of ordering. If I had any critisism Id say the beer prices seemed too high for a beer garden, and not really enough options? But we didnt come for that either way. Will be back again!!
Great burgers, great beer, fantastic friendly service & good portions!
I called for a pick up order for my family and I. I order chicken strips and fries, 2 orders. Instead they gave me grilled cheese and fries. My husband went to go pick up our correction order and they gave us 2 pieces of chicken strips. On the menu for kids it says chicken tenders so apparently that was where the confusion was . I will not be back here.
Really cozy and comfy place... Great food too!
Had a late lunch here with a bunch of friends. Ordered a New West BBQ burger and a salad, the portion was fantastic worth the price! The servers here are nicee as well. It s definitely a great gathering place.
Nice dining experience! Had the half BBQ special. I was able to finish most of it myself, but its definitely enough for two people. My friends eggs Benedict was also really good.
The service was really nice and quick and the place has a really nice vibe. I also really liked the Benedict egg and the potatoes that goes with it.
Parking was easy to find for a late brunch. The waitress was very accommodating of our big group ordering at different times. The food was served quickly, the portions were nice, and the Benedict eggs were good. Will definitely come back !
It was a very nice bowl! (I forgot to take the photo directly, thats why its a bit messy haha, I couldnt resist eating) Nice experience, nice waitress too, thank you very much for the food, we will comeback.
Cute little brunch place in New West. Got the Salmon egg bennys which was delicious. The drink menu is pretty extensive as well. They have some great cocktails and coffee. Would definitely come back again and I definitely recommend this place.
I had a wonderful bday meal with my friends and it was a surprise bday brunch. Since I had some workout sessions in the morning, I was very hungry so I had a half rack of rib menu and an orange juice there. Rib was very tender and well seasoned. Rib came with some LA galbi as well as huge size of a chicken leg. Sauce was fantastic too. Even though I was so hungry, I couldnt finish all the food since the portion was very big. I would love to try burgers there again as I have seen my friends had them and they looked so good too!
Food is delicious. Service is terrible. Food takes forever. Waited 30 min just for coffee and water once. Even after asking 2 different people. Finally had to go up to the counter to ask and it came. You would think their service would get better over time but it seems to be getting worse and the food is taking even longer to come out. Even when it s not that busy. 3 servers for 5 tables!
Went to Bruncheria this afternoon, it was absolute junk. The service was very poor. The food was tasteless. I asked for no fruit salad due to allergies they gave me a random salad which came with pecans, I said, I cant have this Im allergic to nuts, the waitress proceeded to argue with me telling me that pecans arent nuts. They then returned my plate which by then was cold and it looked like they just picked off the pecans and put a bunch of pickled onions on top. I ordered a side of waffles. It literally was a side of waffles plain/dry tasteless waffles (paper flavoured), they didnt even provide syrup until we asked.. twice. I had an eggs benny which had zero flavor. We had to ask for salt and pepper... Twice... Then they gave us a small bowl of tiny salt and pepper packets which were all the same color so we had to sift through to find out which was salt and which was pepper. The coffee was originally served in a paper cup because they ran out of mugs... All the tables werent even full. So disappointed. Such a waste for $33.
Went for brunch today and was not super impressed. I ordered the easy breakfast and the sausages were barely warm. I asked the waitress about it and she said she d bring new ones but they never arrived. The hash browns were not very hot either. It surprises me that a place this busy would have food barely warm. Don t think I ll be back.
These are honestly the sweetest people. I ordered chicken and waffles once and asked for whipped cream, they remembered and always add it into my order without me asking now. Food is great, service is great, restaurant is clean. Its a good spot check it out
I founf this guys offer one free meal per one table only to Korean customer on weekdays;; Why did I pay for one more food compared to the Koreans at the next table?
Great atmosphere in here, the food is great. The hollandaise is absolutely incredible on the Benny s. Service is great Ray was our server and she was amazing for my table of friends! Definitely recommend!
Really good breakfast.
This place was so good!!!!! Its my second visit here. All the food was delicious and the server wonny was very friendly. She kept paying attention to our table. If I go one more time, Ill try new thing!!!
Had brunch there for the 1st time, the brunch menu is pretty good with a good variety for vegan diet. Service is friendly & good. A little too good, kept wanting to clear out plates Nice layout of the restaurant, there s a covered patio that is nicely heated. Food was good, the Egg Bennys were good, including their hash brown, one of the best I have tasted. They even have a vegan option for Eggs Benny. Parking is a little limited. Vegetarian options: There s quite a decent number of Vegan options Parking: Parking is limited
There were two of us and we went on a week day morning. No line up but I understand weekends have line ups so I recommend preparing yourself. The food was delicious. My partner had the hungry breakfast which he couldn t finish because it was a big breakfast. Three eggs three small pancakes and three half pieces of waffles accompanied three bacon two sausages and a large serving of pulled pork. I had the easy breakfast two eggs, two sausages, two toast and fruit. Vegetarian is an option with Jackfruit for the protein. The coffee was rich and delicious. The servers were friendly helpful and attentive. The restaurant was clean and modern with an open kitchen. The bathrooms were clean. Vegetarian options: Jackfruit
I had eggs benedict and waffle and it was so delicious! nice service:) I should come again
Loveless, poor quality food served by friendly but uselessly bad service staff. They need an expo and communication between kitchen and service staff. Food
Nutshell Poor service. I get it you may be busy but more than 1hr waiting after they took the order that s too much, at the end of the long wait mistake the order.
The foods looks good but we didn t have the opportunity to try because we spend more than 1 hour just waiting for our order, when the order arrived was a wrong order, we decided not to eat and go to another place, the service is the worst, so desorganized, there was other tables in the same situation, after 45 minutes waiting we ask about our order and they just say the kitchen was too busy, and we ask for receive at least the kids orders first.
We were told when we arrived there would be about a 15 min wait because the kitchen was backed up but they could seat us, and we were ok with that. From the time we sat down it was nearly an hour before we were served. I had the easy start that was supposed to have Avocado and roasted veg but the only veg served was hashbrowns, and no avacado. I also had a side of hollandaise that was flavorless. Staff were friendly but not very attentive. We waited so long we were too hungry to complain but definitely wont be back, it was not worth the wait.
Delicious, absolutely effing delicious.
First time here and we had the best brunch ever! Ordered the hungry breakfast, wifey ordered the easy bowl, the portion is huge and the best part is, everything is served hot under this cold weather! Highly recommended!
Great place for brunch! Had the strawberry mascarpone French toast and the breakfast platter. Absolutely delicious and huge portions! Loved how the breakfast platter came with either pulled pork or pulled chicken. Nice relaxing place for brunch too. Quick and friendly service. Had enough to take home for breakfast tmrw. Will be back for a visit soon!
Dined in a while ago and was given the wrong food. Ordered a couple meals for take out, one was the vegan benny, when we got home we saw they gave us regular benny with real eggs and meat. Phoned tin and, the person who answered the call was no help took a few times explaining for her to finally understand, she left us on the phone for several minutes then offered no solutions to make up for the mistake when she came back and confirmed we did order the vegan benny. She said she d call us back and never did. Dietary restrictions: Ordered vegan Benny and was given regular Benny with real egg and meat.
I already order 4 times the same just because my kid love it but after the 2nd time the chicken strips with the waffle seems always over toasted.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly Food
The food is amazing, the coffee is to die for, the service is unlike anywhere in Canada the staff is so friendly and inviting and remember your orders from the last time you were there. It s a place that just feels like home. Food
Atmosphere was great, food even better. Rather cold in the eating area. Everything else was perfect!
Absolutely amazing brunch!! Delicious and so big! Excited to come back
