I have been a loyal patron of Cabalen Sweets Restaurant for many years and my admiration for this restaurant has only grown over time. Cabalen is renowned for its authentic Kapangpangan cuisine, using high quality ingredients in every dish, exceptional home-cooked flavours that have become a hallmark of their menu. My most favourite dish is their Tagalog Bistek, Pancit Palabok, Fried Lumpia complete with a very delicious especial vinegar dipping sauce.
I know Cabalen Sweets Restaurant and Catering for many years ago. Just closed by to my address, i used to order to Flor (owner) everytime i crave for something different like Pinoy real taste of food. I find her food really cook fresh while you are waiting, clean presentation and no doubt pricing is just fair. My favorite food to order in Cabalen of course are fried Bangus( freshly cooked) and Pompano. I couldn't forget her freshly fried vegetable lumpia with spicy vinegar dipping sauce and mouthwatering Pilipino sinigang. I tried her Salo salo food tray which is almost like boodle fight twice , oh it tasted so good and budget friendly. You guys, try it that you wont fail to remember once in your life.
So far the best Filipino food I had. The bbq is the best in town. The boodle fight menu, so delicious and tasty The price-affordable. Kuddos to the owners... Flor and Jay!!!!
Last Saturday, I was blessed to partake of a "Salu Salo" tray from Cabalen. I highly recommend this feast. It had a little of everything - BBQ meats, fish, shrimps, longganisa (sweet sausage), tortang talong (eggplant omelet), green manggo salad, salted eggs, rice, turon, and complimentary coke. So yummy, well- cooked, prepared, and would feed more people than intended. Great value! Thank you
What a treat! If you're craving home cooked Filipino food, go to this place and you will not be disappointed. I'd been ordering from this place for 6 years now. They've been very consistent in providing good food and good service with a decent price to boot! My all time faves are pansit bihon, egg rolls, empanada, chicken relleno, palabok, fresh lumpia and ube for dessert.
Awesome mom and pop place. Owners are super friendly and have amazing turon. Boodle fight was truly special
I just ordered, from here the other day. My total was 30 dollars for a small cup of beef steak, 3 pieces pork barbecue and medium sinigang. Hmmmmm well ok then. The sinigang was ok, but I've had better at joyce station. The beef steak was sooo salty , so was the barbecue. Nahh I'll stick to joyce for authentic Filipino food the price is accurate with the taste.
I can only review the Halo Halo which I give a 5 stars to! Tasty fixings and shaved ice all come together for a delicious dessert. It is always an exciting time when this seasonal treat returns. Much better value compared to Max's. You will not be disappointed!
Beef caldereta, beef steak, pork barbecue, ube jelly, and palabok so delicious and tasty.
Very accommodating. Had a last minute order and they came thorough, no problem.
Very yummy, a great sampler of many seafoods and some non-seafood items as well - i feel like its big enough to feed 4!
Its a good place to order TO GO Place is too small for a big group to dine in I had a plan to eat there but place was occupied
Love their food reasonable prices
So dissappointing. We went to try their kakanin but only 3 items were available. The staff doesnt seem to know what they were doing.
We were very disappointed with our take out order ..the fish was over cooked or burnt, the pinakbet is floating like boiled vegetables the worse is theres hair in the banana fritters...disgusting. No I will not recommend to anyone.
About less than 20 seating capacity restaurant, but served Real Authentic Filipino food with decent quantity at a very reasonable price
is ok
