I like the food here. It’s mall chinese food it’s not going to be quite the quality I’d expect from the bigger places. It’s probably one of the better mall Chinese food experience I’ve have had so far. Portion sizes are good and flavour wise it’s decent. I come here a couple times a month. Always look forward to it when I do.
Perfectly serviceable mall food court Chinese food. The lady who works here is really friendly and kind.
It’s mall food court style Chinese food but they give you a lot of it and the generous portions can be shared between 2 people. We got the 3 item combo with a choice of rice or noodle for $16.99. We chose the noodle option and went with the fried flat rice noodle which was surprisingly delicious with wok hey flame flavour. We then chose the chicken curry which was good quality and tasty as well as the sweet and sour pork and the honey garlic chicken which were pretty standard. It makes for a very filling meal.
The two lovely ladies upfront "Eva and Lilly", remember my name and my favorite items everytime I pop in to their kitchen. I have been there several times now, and the key here is consistency. They are very consistent in the quality of their food (which is outstanding), and after crossing all of Canada and eating in each and every province, this is my FAVORITE Wok restaurant. It's weird that its in a mall of all places, but the taste is absolutely perfection. They keep me coming back frequently, at more than fair prices, with high quality, EVERY TIME. I wish I could give them even more than 5 stars. Atmosphere gets a 2/5 because let's be honest, it's the mall lol - but wow, quality and fresh ingredients steal the show. SUPER RECOMMENDED!!
Delicious and affordable! The two lovely ladies are kind and they really pile up the food high! I always have to stop them from giving too much, and they kindly give me a discount. Really don’t understand the negative reviews, I go here 2-3 times per week and it’s always very busy!
I don’t share all the hate about this place. I went there today and got noodles with chicken&vegetables. Friendly service, portion was big enough, taste was very good. I liked it!
I just order noodles and ginger chicken definitely the worst chicken ever had, don’t have idea how they prepare it but the taste is disgusting, I asked the lady if I can have my money back they said choose something else but no money back I picked some veggies. I paid $16.16 with tips
I genuinely do not understand how restaurant owners don't get a simple concept that restaurants depend on repeat business and your patrons do eat at other places so they always known when they are served bad food. Can't emphasize this enough, food here is basic, and they are charging exorbitant amount of money for below average food. There was no chicken in Kung Pao chicken, they simply filled it with veggies. The server tilted the to-go box while packing and the whole gravy spilled out. Never again.

The types of ingredients are exactly the same every day. It s hard not to wonder if there are two people left in the store from yesterday. One is a young aunt and the other is an old woman. I wonder if the young one has an accident in his early years and has a brain problem. He is suffering from lifelong Parkinson s disease. Every time The guests hands were shaking when serving the rice. Today, the meat that had been cooked outside was put into my meal again. My grandmother couldnt finish what she gave me every time. Aunt Parkinsons gave me not enough. Could you please tell me how this makes consumers repurchase and pay for the same thing again? Arent you afraid of being punished by God for being treated differently? Its really disappointing. Fire the employees with this problem as soon as possible.
I love their food! Always delicious and they are very generous on their portions.
Good Asian food
This is the third Asian spot we tried in New West and this is definitely the best so far. I was scared to try because of all the bad reviews.But Food was good. Will be back again!
Had the spicy and garlic chicken, veggies and noodles. worst mall Chinese food I have ever had. Had to spit it out and throw it in the garbage. The chicken tasted weird, old and was super soggy. The noodles were flavourless. veggies were over cooked, weird tasting, and super soggy and just mushy and disgusting.
The ladies working there are pleasant, but my god, the food is horrific. Wilted, discoloured old veggies and all other foods I ordered literally did not have any taste. Not nutritional value. I do not recommend.
Chicken had both the textures of mush and the other half beef jerky from sitting in a steam tray all day. Noodles completely void of flavor and soggy. Quite possibly the worst Western Chinese food that Ive ever had and I lived in Alberta for almost a decade.
The food was good but the rice was mushy all over great and have already been like 4 times till now .
They dont want to serve Beefballs and Fishballs Noodles as its in demand. They will tell you they dont have beefballs or fishballs so you will order the other noodle options. WE WANT Beef noodles, serve it to US!

I dont know why people are so down on this place. Ive been going here on and off for 23 years and, aside from the occasional not so great days, the food has been amazing and quite affordable!! This kiosk beats 95% full sized Chinese food restaurants in both food quality and taste...and it sure beats it on the price!! Dont let the debbie-downers get you. They probably complain about everything.
Great food, friendly service
This place has gone so downhill. It was better when the guy was there. The sweet n sour pork was disgusting. So much fat. Some pieces were literally just fat. Chow mein mushy and no flavour. Curry chicken used to be alright but now it is so bland.
Fish and beef balls noodle. Beef balls missing and noodles literally boiled in soya sauce water that s it. Noodles also in broken tiny pieces. Waste of money and spoil your mood.
For the same price (13.60 including tax), you will get better cooked meat and vegetables (also two items) from Manchu Wok. At this place, it does not really worth spending 13.64 on two items or two items + noodle/rice. Sesame Chicken is too sweet. Vegetables (broccoli etc.) look very dark and it seems like the veggies are overly cooked and did not get sold 1-2 days and not fresh at all. If you live in Uptown, you have other options for Chinese food. And you are you are hungry, Subway is also a better option than this place.
Your typical North American Chinese food.Full of salt,sugar,flour and cornstarch deep fried and sitting there ( for who knows how long right) .If you like to become diabetic or listen to your arteries harden,fill your boots ! Friendly staff thought .
Always super tasty and fresh in my opinion! Never had a negative experience. Clearly some people have nothing better to do then complain so I had to write a nice review! Plus everyday they have a deal 3 boxes for $10 so they do get rid of the food everyday!
Fresh delicious and a huge selection that always makes me feel full and never sick like some places that use msg.
Ordered some takeout, reasonable price for food court food (but doesnt beat the prices in Richmond!). Our favourite item was the wonton noodle soup with BBQ pork, the wontons were quite large, and the pork was tender. They included quite a few of them, would recommend! The combo meals were also good. The rice noodles were a tad mushy (usually a sign of being overcooked), so must have been the current batch. No complaints about the dishes themselves (beef and veg, kung pao chicken, sesame chicken).
Gross, left out too long! Admited to leaving food out all day because slow.. and still wouldnt refund.. good if you want to get sick
Excellent wonton soup
I have found Fortune Wok to have consistently good food, tasty and large portions. Price is fair. Some times hard to find a seat on food Fair.
I went there on July 9 at aprox 4 pm .The lermon chicken was without lemon it came with plum sauce sweet and sour pork pretty much flavourles but that is not the worst of it as I was getting ready to leave a woman came to the counter to return her ginger beef as she said it was to hot the ownwer exhanged it and then...PUT HER USED FOOD BACKTO BE SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,I had to tell him that that is against health regulations ,I wiull never eat there again
Great food. Huge portions. 5 stars
Got some sesame chicken and chow mein noodles in the morning (fresh!) and they were fantastic. Soft noodles and crunchy yet saucy sesame chicken at 10:00am are the best thing I could have had on a Monday morning. P.S. kept the leftovers for 2 days and they still tasted like heaven.
