Best Tzatziki sauce in Metro Vancouver which makes food more delicious.

Do not try to order delivery from this place. Whoever I spoke to didnt even apologize that he wasted mine and two dashers time waiting for an order they never got. They do not do Door Dash.

Take-out only donair house, also the go-to for all of the locals. I havent had many donair, but this one is my fave!

This is honestly the go-to place in BC for donairs, plates, everything is amazing and for Mediterranean food in general. I don t know how he does it but Afar is the the best. I ve been going here since I was a kid with my father. The food has always been amazing, same with the amazing service, everything. It s so worth it! Stop by say hi to him he s such a nice guy! Honestly if you have never tried this kind of food he s the guy to try it at. After the meal you re always craving more. It s sooo good!

i call it the Hole in the Wall, because its just this tiny shop with a pick up window only. The food is FANTASTIC, and the guy inside is always friendly and hard working. Parking is a bit annoying thanks to the City of New Westminster removing it from infront of his store, but there is a small lot behind the building you can park in. I recommend the Lamb!

My fav donair spot in new west

As a 40-year local and avid donair enthusiast, I highly recommend this place. It rivals the classic donairs from Mr. Sandwichs era. Im there twice a week, and the owner starts my order as soon as I arrive. Its often ready before I reach the counter. Opt for beef with extra hot sauce and regular white sauce its a must-try.

My favourite halal Donair place I always used to get the chicken and rice platter with extra hot sauce. Seriously, try it!

Excellent donair from a shoe box sized takeout kitchen. Engaging, hardworking owner. The perfect lunch = a chicken donair, extra hot sauce and a block walk to the Royal Canadian Legion for a pint of beer to enjoy with this bundle of yum.

Very delicious and authentic! Afghan family business store with smells that get you excited while waiting for the food. Meat is very well done and cooked, falafel for veggie option, with a special sauce that is unique to this place. Samosa had good stuffing as well, well made.

I ve had shawarmas all around New Westminster, I would say this tops the list.

One of the best shawarma experience I had so far in New West. I had chicken shawarma platter with rice. The chicken was so juicy and tender and cooked perfectly. I loved the hummus. It was so flavourful. The rice was outstanding too. The platter comes with pita bread. The platter was not overly spiced, everything was perfect. This is a local business and you won t regret after having a meal here. The prices are decent. MUST TRY ..

I used to live in New West 5 years ago and I still think of this place. I miss the dude and his politeness. Such a great man. Im tempted on going for a 3 hour trip just to have 2 donairs. One when I arrive and one on the ride back home. 10/10 best donairs in New West.

I have been coming here for quite a few years, and the food is always good. I usually get chicken, but lamb and beef also tasty. Vegetables are always fresh and sauces are not overpowering. Prices are lower than I expect, and the owner is a nice guy.

This place is tiny and only accessed from the street. The food is great and really inexpensive.

I ve tried Donair from coquitlam, burnaby, Vancouver, even Donair in west Van, and I have to say none of them will ever compare to this place right here. The sauces he uses our out of this world, as well as the meat is so well cooked it savoure in your mouth, I wish there were more words I could use to define what I mean, would definitely reccomend coming here, also the guy is very funny and nice if you love football aka Soccer when you ll have great conversations with him

Been coming here for years. The taste is always the same, which is delicious. Especially the chicken donair. The sauces and the spices in the donair are top notch. The owner is always there and he is a very kind man. Would high recommend!

Been coming here for 10+ years so its only right I leave this review. The sauce on the donair plates is otherworldly to be honest. Just packed with flavour. Ill usually get the sauce by itself and use it in other meals. The meat, hummus, pita, and salad are all very good as well and just the cherry on the top.

Friendly man who owns it with terrific food. You can ask for a Whole Wheat Wrap but he doesnt always have them so phone ahead. Wear a mask!

great food, great portions, definitely slathers on that sauce. I little too much for me to be honest. The rice is overcooked and so is the chicken but the lamb was great, no gaminess whatsoever and its tender.

Great owner and amazing food

The portions of meat in the donair is a good amount, more than most places I go to. The meat is very tasty, but also very greasy. Some will like that, some not. Prices are fairly cheap and consistent with the other donair places up the street. I still prefer the other one up the street, but theres nothing wrong with this one and I would happily eat here again.

Best donair in the lower mainland...I have tried many and while some come close, I havent tasted anything yet that is as good as it is here! Also really good hummus, get a side with some pita if youre there.

My chicken donair tasted fresh. It was delicious and wrapped nicely. Cheap too - at only $6.85 for a regular sized chicken donair. There are two small round tables outside. I would recommend Mediterranean Donair House, without a doubt, to anyone wanting a donair as a pick-me-up.

My go to spot. Tzatziki is unique and in my option really good. I love it.

Friend thought the sauce was sub par and ketchup like but I thought it was fine. Spinach pie was microwaved which I was hoping they had some technique going where they put it in the mini oven after and it was perfectly balanced and good but it turned out even with the mini oven finish that it was soggy from the microwave and essentially destroyed.

Ghaffar the owner/operator is passionate about his food .Hes very friendly, and its always a pleasure to chat w him while my food is prepared. Delicious donairs, & excellent customer service. A cant miss. His homemade hot sauce is a nice and welcome touch.

$9.50 for a mixed large donair. The guy literally put in 90% beef and 10% chicken - not very mixed at all. Also, the large was the same size as most regular sizes at other locations. The only toppings available were tzatziki, hot sauce, lettuce, onions, tomatoes. Other locations offer a ton more toppings. The main two toppings missing in my opinion are hummus and cucumbers. The donair tasted good, but for the reasons above it only deserves 2 stars. Definitely over priced.

Hands down best donair ever

Had the large falafel not fresh falafel (they were microwaved). the price shown on the menu ($7) was not what we paid ($7.35). the medium and large looked like the same size. the falafel tasted floury. Would not recommend and there are better places near by.
