A local family owned small business. Their veal cutlets are delicious and it comes with soup or salad and dessert. Nice cozy place and staff are friendly and good service.

Went there for turkey dinner, this was are 3 year in a row going there, they said last 5 turkey dinner, it was terrible, 2 small pieces of turkey fragments of dark meat, broccoli was grey, never will go back, chef should be ashamed of himself, I know he rationed the turkey so he can get more plates from what turkey he had left so sad

They gave me 2 spoons of turkey for their turkey dinner and lots of gravy and broccoli and charged me almost $30 with taxes. Avoid this place like the plague!

Best breakfast/brunch diner in New West. I eat here at least monthly. Great service, good food, cozy atmosphere. Coffee could be improved. Hope you guys can open soon after your water leak! Everytime we go and this place is closed my day just goes downhill.

Just tried strawberries and whipped cream waffles. so good . Prices are more than fair. You dont see places like this one too often. What made it the best is the service from our server. She was pleasant, prompt, accommodating, and yet still personable towards our group. Ill be back in the future and I can totally see it becoming a regular place my family and I attend to in the future.

A few servers are surly, unsmiling. It s not a very welcoming place. Some food is generous like liver and onions. Pasta is not very generous. Hope management tell servers to smarten up and be more enthusiastic about their jobs.

So, me and the wife decided to go for a late lunch at this place called Sixth Street Grill. She had gone there with her mom last week and couldnt stop raving about it. Shes been bugging me to go ever since, so we took a stroll on our day off and ended up there. Let me tell ya, it was even better than she said! We shared a bacon turkey wrap with fries and a couple of Heinekens. Im a big guy with a healthy appetite, and I was totally satisfied after we split the meal. Now Im sorry my wife took a quick Pic for her mom and I was to busy eating to get my phone out, couldnt stop myself long enough to take it out I was really enjoying my meal. We sat on the beautiful little outdoor patio and enjoyed the sun, and the servers were great. They were very busy for the little out of the way place that it is, my wife was even trying to wait a minute walked right up to the bar and just asked if we could go to the patio (nobody else was out there) and placed are order at the same time. 5 to 7 minutes later, out came the food, beers were there in under 2. Excellent job ladies, you are fantastic thank you for the pleasure of your establishment and the wonderful energy I truly enjoyed are time there from beginning to the moment we left. Genuine Home style Diner . . . The pan fried spuds are authentic down home!

They allow non service dogs in the restaurant. As someone who is allergic this is not good practice. It is also against BC provincial regulations to allow animals in a food service establishment and is actually quite gross and dangerous for contamination. I will not return.

I was here at Sixth Street Grill again today, its a favourite of mine. Really nice family run diner with great service and delicious home cooked meals. Try the patty melt (well grilled). You wont be disappointed.

Sixth Street Grill is a great neighbourhood staple! You know youre going to enjoy anything you order. Servings are often big enough to bring home what you couldnt finish. Great atmosphere with plenty of seating. Reasonable prices. Love this place!

when i go through the effort to write a review, i mean it.. this place is next level for breakfast. all day and til 8pm too!! i usually prefer pancakes to waffles but the waffles here are absolutely perfect. their hashbrowns are unique, they are like fried slices of potato? every time i come here i know im going to be happy. the server ive had each time is so funny and just has a great energy

I love Sixth Street Grill. I go alone or bring the family. Either way, the staff is super pleasant. The food is good (be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner). Some notable mentions are the club sandwich, their soups are always on point, I live for their Mexicana omlette (and i always order a side of breakfast sausages as they are delish), the hamburger steak is lovely and (an old favorite from my childhood) the Monte Cristo is yummy! Good fries, good gravey! I havent tried the turkey dinner yet, but i saw someone eating it last time I was there for dinner, and it looked yummy, so i cant wait to try it. Sixth Street Grill is a great reminder how a family-run diner can push out some delicious food while maintaining that moms kitchen feel. Ive been going weekly(ish), and as long as Im welcome, I will be back over and over and over again! Parking: There are usually spots in front of the restaurant, with a parking lot nearby. Paid parking (machine on the street or Passport app, zone 163), $3.75 for 1.5 hours. Kid-friendliness: Kid menu available, staff has always been super friendly and catering to children.

Maybe the decor isnt to everyones taste, the atmosphere is a little dark, but the quality and quantity of the food is very good.

My boyfriend and I went to the Sixth street Grill, this morning, for breakfast and I ordered bacon and scrambled egg whites. My eggs were not cooked, very runney. Bacon was over cooked and hard as rock. My boyfriend had the Monte Cristo sandwich. His sandwich was very dry. No butter or mayonnaise. Not very fresh chicken. Prices went up and quality went down. So sad. It used to be a good restaurant. We will never be coming back.

Breakfast here is excellent (we have yet to try lunch or dinner). Ample servings at reasonable prices and very friendly service. There is often a lineup on weekends, but only once was the wait so long we turned around and went home. I would like to see some veggie bacon and sausage options, but there is plenty on the menu for those of us who avoid meat.

My wife and I took the family to 6th Street Grill. Blown away! The menu selection is incredible, service par excellence, and food spectacular. I had the 6th Burger and hands down, the best burger for under $20 Ive ate in the Vancouver area. Highly recommend this eatery.

Absolutely perfect low-key diner experience. In an age where everything seems to need to conform to the corporate pubs and restaurants to stay relevant, sometimes you just need a diner/grill thats not pretending to be anything but what it is. Food was super quick and exactly what a diner breakfast should be. Service was genuine and down to earth. Will go out of my way to come back.

I had a nice breakfast experience here. The lady snd the young man who served me were courteous and caring. I got a cup of soup which was fresh and nutritious (as an athlete that is super important for me.) and it was served hot, clean, and with crackers. I also got eggs and hamburger steak. The meat was high quality and fresh and it was grilled. The hash browns were also authentic and tasty. They cane regularly to serve coffee and the atmosphere was peaceful. The restaurant was also clean. Thank you Sixth Street Grill!

Luke warm water for the tea, food was not fresh ..sitting around all day. Very dry! Employees are not engaged in their jobs.

Very nice restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in the heart of uptown New Westminster. Service is always top notch and the food menus has lots of variety for everyone. Highly recommended for a Saturday morning breakfast or a quick bite in the evening. One of my go tos for anyone in new west looking to support a locally owned place.

Typically like to go to this restaurant as its one of the few local diners in the area. My partner and I arrived and no one was in line behind us. We were told to pick one of the available seats and we selected the booth. They said it would be a moment while they cleaned it up. No problem. But then a customer came in behind us, not greeted by a host and went up to the booth being cleaned for us and the server offered them our seat. Considering there is a sign that says please wait to be seated, and were hungry (like everyone would would be waiting in line), we felt slighted. Very unprofessional and left my partner and I feeling upset knowing wed have to wait additional time. I know it seems like a small issue but if I know I could just grab Any available seat, I would ignore that seating sign. Whats the point of that sign, and greeting customers, offering them a seat and then giving it to the first person who asks that isnt even next in line. Definitely not how I wanted to start my day. :(

Saturday February 18 around 1240PM. While waiting for a seat, we were asked where wed like to sit. We told them well wait for the booth to be cleaned. We witnessed the server clean the table meant for us and let another customer swoop in and take a seat, not acknowledging that we were next to be seated. We were so turned off by this experience and we decided to eat elsewhere. We hung around for 2 mins to be acknowledged but no one came to help. We promptly left. That said, we are regular customers and we would likely eat here again, however will remember this experience in future visits.

Great restaurant, server Kathy is very friendly. The restaurant is clean and Kathy clean the payment terminal before hand it to client. Looking forward to eat in here again.

Its nothing special, but the price is generally It seems a bit cheap. I think I would use it often if I lived nearby. Coffee refill time is longer than other brunch places. It was a bit disappointing that it was very slow.

Breakfast was delicious. They serve turkey bacon, real sliced potatoe hasbrowns snd pouched eggs were perfect med-hard! Best pancakes. Great service, non stop coffee refills.

Weve been going here for many years, though less so, since moving from New West to Coquitlam. It has remained very consistent, through the years. Their pan fries are so yummy, and I love their crab cake Benedict. I have never had a bad experience with anything Ive ordered. Even their coffee is pretty good. It does get quite busy during Sunday breakfast/brunch hours.

Came here Tuesday morning for breakfast. Was first greeted by a sweet girl asking what we would like to drink, then another.server came and took our order. We received our food, started eating but there were issues with the order. We tried to flag the server down to tell her, but went ignored. She never came to our table to make sure everything was alright. We ended up just eating what we had. Noticed that the server had many regulars in the section and paid great attention to them. When she came with the bill, we did tell her there were issues but she never came to check on us. Her response was I will let the kitchen know. No apology, she didnt seem to care. We paid the bill and left shaking our heads. We do come here often but will be thinking twice about coming again if the service is going to be the norm.

Went in stood at door waiting to be seated and was totally ignored for almost 5 mins, not one waitress acknowledged us or even looked our way to seat us...purely disgusting customer service, would never again attempt to spend my money at this so called establishment.

I visited this restaurant with high hopes for a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. Upon entering, my party and I waited for what felt like an excessive amount of time without any acknowledgment from the staff. There was no greeting or even a rough estimate of when we might be seated. It appeared that the staff was making a conscious effort to ignore us, which was disappointing. As a result, we decided to leave and seek another dining option. Customer service is vital in any establishment, and this lack of attention and care left us with a negative impression. Hopefully, the restaurant can address these issues to provide better experiences for future patrons.

So 6th street grill is a family restaurant. So l was there today with my grandchildren. It was nice visit to visit my FAMILY however if young couples dont want to hear children but choose to sit back to back in other booth just opposite well that is their own stupidity. But i didnt appreciate a young man giving my grandson dirty looks as my grandson was standing the booth and my grandson expressed his frustration to father. Its a family restaurant sit on the other side. HELLO. Its not rocket science. My grandson is only 3 GRRRRR. Get real. We paid and left. Vegetarian options: They have a variety menu and very clean

A decent Benedict with some of the worst halondaize sauce imaginable. Artificially thickened, sour and mustardy. Why would you ruin such beautiful eggs with this?! Service was mediocre, had to put in substantial effort to get staff s attention, never checked on us for coffee or hot water refills.

It s a little like stepping back in time. You don t see places like this very often. Great food and lovely service. Big portions of food and the breakfast potatoes are some of the best I ve ever had.

My Benny eggs dish was pretty disappointing, the cheddar cheese wasnt even melted, the sauce tasted like it came from a bottle instead of mad in the house while the potatoes were plain and soft. My husbands omelette was a bit better but over all its a sad experience.

This is a diner with exactly what youd expect on the menu, from omelettes to burgers. Good service. Fairly busy on weekends.

The service is good and it has a family run vibe which is lovely. Only ate here once so limited experience. The breakfast was quite basic and bland. For example the omelet: $3 extra to add mushrooms to a spinach omelet. So now Ive been served an $18 omelet. The potatoes were not browned at all - criminal! Those $3 mushrooms? Barely cooked so they added little to the flavor. The only flavor in the dish was the cheese, which was cheddar. There are several very cheap ways to make this dish better - more time cooking and preparing ingredients would help. Garlic, use some. A dash of sour cream would do wonders. Anything to make it pop. To me this seemed like a kitchen that doesnt put the time into prep or flavor. I spent $51 on breakfast for two with a 15% tip. This is not a $ restaurant it is a $$ restaurant but the food is $ quality. However, easily improved upon, and the people working there were a delight.

This is my second time at the Sixth Street Grill. Both times the place was busy, busy, busy. Still, service was great! Turnaround was short and tables were clean and comfortable. I ve sat outside at the patio tables and inside, at a booth. I am not the slightest of people so had fun fitting in the booth. Fortunately, the table moves so I was able to get a bit more space and was comfortable. Staff were polite and helpful throughout my visits. They re knowledgeable of their menu and specials and had no problem reciting back everything we ordered. Service was relatively quick, considering the place was packed when we ordered. The orders were all correct and the food was absolutely delicious! I didn t take any photos the last two times but I will next time. I ve tried their signature burger, The 6th street Burger and their Classic Club House sandwich. bother we re excellent (says I, kissing the tips of my fingers and pulling them away from my mouth in the famous Italian way of saying bellísima ) I will be coming back again, and again, and again!

So, disappointed! Noticed this place being packed in weeks past. Well, hump day, today- looking forward to trying the local breakfast spot. Wow. Toast dry - apparently toaster broke? One toaster for a restaurant? Eggs over easy : hard literally Hash brown potatoes- not cooked properly, hard and parts mushy with no taste whatsoever Bacon - I didn t bother tasting Crazy! I had to walk out - wasn t paying for these two terrible plates that were both horrific At $13+ And we waited 30 min when there was 3 tables . Really?? Taking for granted the customers you already have Is what s happening here Btw, the waitress was the sweetest Sucks for her how she had to cover for the owner s incompetence and management abilities. You deserve better, lady! I guess according to past reviews- the place was better 8-10 months ago.
