What a great spot! My husband and I are from out of town and wanted a place to have lunch while in New West for the day. We chose White Spot as we have always found them a good choice. I have food allergies and they are very good about making sure my meal meets my needs. It is nice to find a place when traveling that allows me to feel comfortable ordering. The atmosphere is great and all the staff were friendly and helpful. When the meal came my husband and I were both very pleased with our meal. I am almost sorry our travels don’t take us to New West to enjoy this restaurant experience more often.
I enjoy my visits to White Spot weekly. The entire staff is very professional and outgoing. Big shout out to Jai, Max & V, always going that extra mile to take care of customers. 😊😊 After visiting yesterday, I would NEVER go back. My complaint has been forwarded to head office. This is Canada, Don't use dirty words in other languages or you will get the same treatment. Owner needs to wipe that grin of his face. I have spent roughly 800.00 including tips in past six weeks. Issue is with cleanliness and not having ANY coasters for beverages which cause water to drip everywhere, even on your clothes, food and table. This makes bacteria multiple at a fast pace. When I asked the Owner, his reply was very arrogant and told me to keep wiping using the one tissue supplied. Manager decided to use foul language in Punjabi. The entire issue escalated because the Owner started to bully me and I won't stand for that BS.
Food was too bland, though service was good! Might be something to do with the location, because whitespot Kitsilano’s food definitely taste better than what we had here!!
I’ve tried avoiding writing this review; because the staff seem nice enough, but EVERY time we order from here there is some mistake. One of my kids likes pasta but hates pasta sauce and we use to order online but they would mess up the modifications 60% of the time. After leaving a phone message the manager (I think it was the manager) asked me to call orders in b/c the online system wasn’t clear. So I did going forward. The error rate went down to maybe 40% on that dish. The problem is when you order take out and find mistakes when you are home, you can’t be bothered turning back. I’ve gotten better at checking but they are finding new ways to mess up. Last week they called me to tell me they were out of mashed potatoes, so I needed to pick a different side for the steak meal. Then they proceeded not to bother packing it. Today again they messed up the pasta order, but caught it. So they re-made it.. cool, but then the rest of the food was cold. Then they gave me steamed veggies is a plastic bag?? And the cherry on top.. one of the two kids ice creams I received was essentially empty.. it may not have ever been ice cream? it may have been ice cream mixed with whipped cream? honestly idk what it was but it was basically empty. The top and sides had stuff on them so it wasn’t obvious till it was opened. So while it’s further for me.. I’ll just start going to the kingsway location b/c this one.. they just don’t seem to want my business. The food generally is good, when it’s packed right or not cold b/c I had to have them remake something. The staff is always really nice, but that means very little when my take out order is wrong.. over and over.
Ordered the chicken strips and salad via UberEats in this location. Found a finger nail in one of the chicken strips🤢 This is really disgusting. Happy to hand this nail over to its rightful owner. Someone claim your lost finger nail 🤮🤮
Restaurant was really quiet. Price of the food seems high for the value. Fries soaked in oil and soggy. Food otherwise ok.
When you go to White Spot, you know you’re going to get decent casual food. We split the farro salad and shrimp sandwich and both meals were good. My husband enjoyed the blueberry milkshake, and as always, I got the iced tea. The washrooms were humid and dark, two words I’ve never used for a washroom. There was no hook in my stall to hang my purse or jacket, but I could see the drill holes where it used to be.
A reliable place for good casual eats. The burger I had was flavourful and done right and there was lots of fresh cheese shavings on my Caesar salad. They have an option with entrees for ayce fries and a side of coleslaw which is fun to nibble on while having drinks. Happy hour is after 8pm and the Bellini I had for $6.50 was nice and refreshing. The zucchini fries are also crispy and fun to eat but a little greasy and the oil could maybe be drained off after frying a bit longer. Standard good beef dip and club sandwiches too. Not gourmet, but casual food done well with good service in a cozy dining area suitable for families.

We had a 2 in 1 dinner get together here for 35 people. Our waiters are Matt and Mak, managed by Aman. We were impressed on how the service went! Originally, I was concern, with a large group, the service can go down south (order confusion or how long will be able to eat), but NONE of that happened. Choosing this location for two important milestones made our party amazing!!! Thank you so much, WhiteSpot New Westminster. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Yooo this a fire place been coming here for years
I really wanted to like this place as the atmosphere is great and I live nearby so its convenient for a family lunch. However, last time I visited, our server had an unwelcoming passive-aggressive behavior. She used a hostile and sometimes condescending tone and made us feel like our presence was an inconvenience. Her interactions felt unnecessarily rushed and pushy. We didnt feel valued as customers so we paid for our drinks and left. She moved on to the next table where she was all smiles, which made us feel singled out (we were the only non-white people at the restaurant, hoping that didnt have anything to do with it). White Spots are not cheap, we pay a premium for the dinning experience. I dont think we will return to this location.

Started with the Lettuce Wraps, omg they were so good it was crazy, seasoned perfectly and the veggies were fresh and gorgeous. Main was the steelhead, and LITERALLY the best meal I ve had in a such a long time, I swear this is like a $75 dish at a restaurant downtown and it was outstanding. Couldn t recommend it more. Seriously one of the best meals I ve had in a while. I do think White Spot could do with a redesign HAHA but it feels cozy like it did when I was a kid so I appreciate the familiarity.

Been coming here for 4 years, no more as they clearly do not care about quality anymore. Cactus club prices with the portions and quality of a run down cafe. Do not order the chicken here on any thing, the portion is ridiculously small. Corporate indeed kill this chain. 23$ for pasta with the chicken the size of a baby chick, very nice! The atmosphere is depressing, there s a reason this place is ghost town empty despite a lively population.

Great place with a very good menu. It is a standard go-to for the family. Prices are creeping up a bit outside my comfort zone. Parking: Located in a mall where there is free underground parking. Kid-friendliness: Bring the T-ball team. Wheelchair accessibility: No problems getting in and out of the main floor seating area.
Somewhat a regular here and its almost always a great experience. Food is prepared well, tastes great, and comes somewhat quickly. Service is always friendly and attentive. Often a quiet location, though, so dont expect much of a social scene here. Its a great place to bring kids. If its a larger party, you often get seated below which gives the kids room to move around a bit and even be a bit noisier than youd like in a restaurant. Very much appreciated!
I come here often to have brunch with my aunt and its always a pleasant experience and the food is always enjoyable. I have had no problems here and the staff are accommodating as well.

Eewww... just eewwww. Went there with my daughter. Not only was our order wrong, my daughters was burnt, mine was wrong, and raw. Just to be told thats how it comes what? Raw? And wrong? And the other dish burnt? Not only that, they touched my food with thier fingers when asking whats wrong with this? As they treated me like Im dumb. The staff and manager are just rude and act entitled & pompous.

Have always enjoyed dining at White Spot, however I have noticed the prices have gone up and the size of the burgers have gone down. It s not cheap for a family of four to dine here anymore.

Went there Monday, the food and the sevice were ok except that I get exta mayo on the side which I have never been charged extra for. This time without telling me that they now charge a dollar for extra mayo, they added it to my bill. Are they trying to be more like McDonalds or some other fast food restaurant? I paid over 20 dollars for a burger and thats not enough for those greedy jerks. The food is already over priced, learn to please your patrons, not gouge them for every little thing. Never going to any White spot again. Ihop has bette food for less money.

Want the most pathetic amount of lettuce for lettuce wraps? How about less than 13 pieces of frech fries? Or a server that is impossible to wave down? No worries! Come to New Westminster White Spot where the ghost of good food past keeps bringing you here to be disappointed. Absolutely sad.
The number of stars does not reflect my utter disappointment that a giftcard of $10 was declined on 5 April because of an expiry date of 5 days ago. I asked the server to ask the manager, 30 seconds later he came back and said the manager said NO, whether true or not (his asking) it is just very poor customer service to decline something within 5 days. I can see a few months past the due date but 5 days. Anyway there are enough places to go the bad taste in my mouth will take a while to get rid off.

The burger is real and authentic. The cheese in the burger is real cheese and not just a cheese product. Fries are so hot and fresh. And I love the coconut shrimp they have. Every time you can understand that it is freshly made after you ordered it.

I ordered chicken broccoli cheese through DoorDash. The rice was cooked to mush and was all stuck together. The broccoli was not cooked properly and it was not baked with cheese like it s supposed to be. The food was cold. When I called to talk to the manager he told me to contact DoorDash for a credit as he can t do anything. Be warned if ordered through DoorDash that white spot does not care about the quality of your food! I wish I could give them 0 rating.
The server mostly let customers sit near the main entrance, and it was a bit cold for me. Even though I mentioned them, we are not ready. The server asked for the order too often, but after the food was served, the server didnt come the same as before the order. Food was disappointed, too
We went in for breakfast and with many waitresses wandering around in 20 minutes they never offered and drink or menue after being seated by a nasty tempered hostess with a snotty attitude. The ill tempered hostess remained at the back of the restaurant and when asked about a server said she was not a server. The manager came as we were leaving and said the only waitress that was actually working would serve us soon. I have been living in New Westminster a few years and service used to be ok but now has declined to very poor with bad tempered people working there.
The beef dip was good although it was skimpy on the jus. Good salad on the side. Our waitress was friendly and efficient.
We went there before dinner hour. Managed to get menus and seated, but after 30 minutes, a waitress had yet to even take our order for drinks. I checked about 8 tables around me and all were the same, no food, no drinks, and no service. We decided to leave and go elsewhere.

Somethings going on at White Spot. The menu seems to be shrinking. For breakfast there were maybe 7 items to choose from and they were all expensive. I had a chicken wrap with fried potatoes for over 17 dollars. I know everything is getting expensive these days but White Spot can do a lot better than this. They didnt even have any healthy options on the menu at all. No oatmeal, no fruit plate, no egg white omelette. White Spot doing it wrong. Probably not going back ever- if Im craving a burger Im going to Triple Os.

Been here more than once. The atmosphere is laid back. I have the best time there every time Ive been. The food, service and cleanliness are all top-notch. Definitely worth checking out if youre in New Westminster. Free parking. Vegetarian options: Various salads and pasta are on the menu. Parking: Its underground in the mall. Kid-friendliness: Saw a few kids on my last visit. They have a kids menu and I think they offer crayons and colouring. Wheelchair accessibility: Theres wheelchair parking. The entrance to the restaurant is wide enough. I didnt see specific tables but the aisles are big enough for a wheelchair. Take away a chair at a table and theres room for a wheelchair.

We had happy hour at weekend, not too busy at that time, service was great, very attentive. Orders are: Garlic Parmesan Bacon Fry - didn t taste parmesan, fry is soggy, lukewarm. I expected it is crispy. Hot dry rib - big & chunky, tasty, but it is lukewarm again Mushroom Gruyère Flatbread - Thin crusted, tasty, but again lukewarm. Coconut popcorn shrimp - very good, crispy, hot, flavourful None alcohol beer - from micro brewery, bitter but very floral flavour. One star less due to most of food temperature aren t right, probably sit on the counter for a while.

Very disappointed in this location, DONT RECOMMEND YOU COMING HERE, Go any other location. First of all the menus says that a free drink milk or juice comes with the food for the kids, than they tell you it is extra only on the bill and that it is the way they do it in their location and no refill on hot chocolate when the menu clearly says so, they heat up the syrup thay we burned our hands on it for the pancakes. DO NOT RECOMMEND COMMING HERR, THIS LOCATION DAMAGES THE REPUTATION OF WHOTE SPOT!

Breakfast Review: After walking in, I was quickly and kindly greeted and seated. She attempted to seat me with everyone else but I asked to be seated near the street with natural lighting. After about 5 min the server came with water and I politely asked for coffee and she also took my order. Another 5 min went by with no coffee served. I had to grab another server to get my coffee. Food came quickly, but the Hashbrowns where colder than room temp with way too much salt, sausage was not very hot and salty aswell. Server did refill my coffee quickly and asked if I wanted more Hashbrowns lol. I politely responded, no thank you they are too cold. I didnt even finish them. Maybe they over salt then so you dont get more. Maybe they serve me the cold ones from the last guy that didnt eat them? No idea. The coffee was really good and hot. Wont be going back though.

Fanastic customer service, and the food is always delicious! We had a doordash dasher Totally screw us on an order and the both DoorDash and White spot stepped up when it came time to fix the situation. I had the Nats Loaded beef dip, my lovely wife had her usual (buttermilk chicken Cobb salad), and we split the fries and dippin chicken. To say comfort food is not enough, even though it totally is! We are and always will be loyal customers of this BC franchise.
Two stars because the servers and the service is excellent. The food however is bland, expensive, and poorly prepared. I used to come here weekly but stopped 1-2 years ago when quality started falling. Decided to try it again today and got served a rubbery waffle, rubbery apples (how do you even do that) and a side full of onions when I asked for no onions. I will never visit THIS location again.

Last Friday we ate dinner here and tried the new menu and we loved it! The portions are big and tasty, the strawberry milkshake is not too sweet just right. I recommend this place.
Ordered fish burger and majority of it turned out to be batter, we went on searching Nemo and took a picture of what they actually gave us for 25$. Triple O doesn t give its customers but turns out White Spot does.

First Id like to address the elephant in the room: this restaurant is NOT racist. Contrary to initial impressions stemming from reading the name of said eatery, I assure you that people of all ethnicities are welcome here. Now on to the main course. After being promptly seated by the friendly hostess, my lady and I placed drink orders as well as a shared appetizer of perogies. Are you a fan of crispy bacon, tender pillows of potato with just the right amount of crunch, and a cheese sauce that not only brings the dish together, but makes you fantasize about where else upon you might pour this delicious substance? No? Alright nevermind. For everyone else that does like these things - that. My entrée consisted of beef best fit for dipping, and a side of salty, perfect french fries. Possibly french Canadian, though I didnt ask. My wife chose to partake of their new spicy Korean chicken sandwich, whose name escapes me, and for the sake of cultural respectfulness, I wont try to make up here. In any case, dip that beef and spice that Korean. Our waitress was a lovely person who ensured our glasses were never wanting for the sweet sweet cola flowing from their magical fountains of diabetic potential. Always smiling and willing to overlook our slightly early arrival for happy hour, she treated us quite well. Much like the chicken sandwich, I dont remember her name... so thank you, Jane. Fellow eaters and watchers of eaters (lower percentage of the world, but we know youre out there), the next time your stomach demands attention but your brain knows not where to from it need come, choose White Spot. Its tasty goodness in your food depository.

I few things wrong with my plate but very polite and accommodating. FYI dont buy the pink vodka lemonade. No strawberry flavour and tastes like watered down cheap vodka. No fruit slices like the picture. It just comes with a lemon wedge.

First time coming to this White Spot on a weekday. The service was a bit slow. They got my husbands order wrong (he ordered Caesar salad to go with his meal but they gave him fries instead) ; however, we decided not to change it because my husband said he didnt mind the fries. When the food got delivered to our table, server forgot about bringing utensils. We had to wait about 15 minutes to see a server and asked. It was pretty understaffed. Also, when we got our refills for fries, they forgot to give us ketchup and then we had to ask again... The refilled fries were much better than the first plate. The first plate of fries wasnt that warm. The food in general was great. I highly recommended the milkshake. For the price of $7.99 you actually get like 2 glasses portion wise. I found that was a pretty good value.

Went to celebrate grad here with the family. The server was delightful as always. The food seems to have gone downhill and is way pricier than I remember.. $21 for a basic burger. At that price, the quality should be higher, less slapped together.

As a whitespot employee i could say my server need a lot of training. I don t know if she was new or an old/ well trained employee but definitely she needs a lot of training. First of all who bring a glass of water without a tray and while holding it from the top (rim) from where the customers drink it. Secondly, she brings my food and left it on the table no asking do you need anything else . Third, no quality check. Fourth, i was done with my food and she brings me my check and drops it on the table ( didn t ask if i need a desert or anything). This was happened when restaurant was not even busy and made me feel like the server want to get rid of me which made me feel un-welcomed.

Its a high class burger place. The burgers and fries are just about the best I know of, and the salads and other sides add very well to any meal. Other offerings are enjoyable, though not the reason I go there. The beer selection is usually great though today it was only just good enough. Best breakfast in town. So happy shredded hash browns are back. Service was great. You know what you are getting and never disappoints
The food ( Teriyaki chicken) was good and tasted healthy. The service is however slow, had to wait long to be seated and then each request at the table took long to deliver, there was also a fruit fly that kept on flying around the Teriyaki sauce and my plate. Do I go back? Yes. Because we dont have that many options in New West.
First time at this location. Attentive and friendly staff. Welcoming atmosphere as in other White Spots. Service was just a little slow. There was no one at the entrance to seat us for some time. I tried the lemon chargrilled chicken with the spots salad. It was excellent. The chicken was tender and moist, the greens came with almond slices and cranberries. The dressing was a vinaigrette with small apple pieces. Delicious.

I ordered the fish n chips and I dont think the oil was hot enough. It was dripping with oil. I have had it before and it was so good. I took a piece home and reheated it at 400 for 10 minutes. It was so much better. The French fries are the best.
Hey man all the staff is nice but management is hanging them out to dry by understaffing. I waited 18 minutes for an online order Id ordered 2 hours ahead of time and arrived slightly late to pick up. 18 minutes for someone to hand me food theyd already made and Id already paid for. Guys... Guuuys. Food was really good too!!
We were greeted tonight by Don the Manager, who was lovely, and couldnt of been more helpful, he quickly got us seated and we were in the hands of the most amazing server and her name was Bridgette, she was helpful, patient, and all the makings to be the best of the best. We had such a nice dinner/reunion with an old friend we hadnt seen in awhile. We have decided to extend our visit in New Westminster for a few more days, and we plan to have another dinner at this location before we head back to Vancouver Island.

I visited this location on Remembrance Day and was extremely disappointed by the service. Despite a wait to be seated sign, there were three customers ahead of me, but no host at the entrance. After waiting for 20 minutes and inquiring with servers inside, no one came to assist us. Eventually, frustrated customers in line left, and I overheard complaints from others inside about the long delays in receiving their orders. It was a truly upsetting experience.

I really like this White Spot. Its easy to get to, lots of parking underground, not super busy and food is as expected. Very kid friendly restaurant too. Service could be better but it feels like theyre running with the minimum possible amount of servers, so I find that we usually have to wait a while and even flagging down a server can be difficult. I dont think its the servers fault though, theyre always friendly and work quickly, theres just not many of them. Parking: Mall underground parking, lots of spots available and white spot parking spots are marked Kid-friendliness: Lots of choices for the kids menu. Their kids menu is a colouring activity book which is great (they provide some crayons).
One of our favorite restaurant chains. Breakfast menu has shrunk, but still nice options many of which can be made to suit allergies. Prices are creeping up though, so not an inexpensive experience. Dietary restrictions: Nice selection of gluten free options
Edit: it appears the owner didn t read my comment about being overcharged happy hour prices . Check your bills everyone. It s not much but I eat here often and now I m wondering if I was overcharged every visit. Overall this location is excellent, all of the servers are great and very polite. For some reason was charged $7.50 for a happy hour beer that is otherwise listed as $6.50 everywhere. Brought it up to my server and said he would check with the manager, was told that the price is $7.50 now but the menus weren t updated. I find it very odd because $7.50 is not listed on the website or anywhere in the restaurant but that s what I was charged. Hope a manager addresses this review.
Service was great, although I was expecting more from their fish and chips. The fries were dry and unsalted, the fish was nice but no taste to the batter.
I have been coming to this location for 14 years. The service wasnt that great and the kitchen took forever to get meals out. I almost gave up ever coming back until a new GM took over about a year ago. I quickly noticed the service was a lot faster and the food came out quicker. I can tell the new GM is service oriented and a hard worker. Keep up the great work!

If you have food allergies don t bother with this location. Staff is oblivious to food safety. I ordered brussel sprouts that were listed on the menu as gluten friendly, double checked with the server who gave an uncertain answer, and was served brussel sprouts with literal chunks of fried breading mixed throughout. Dietary restrictions: Chefs and waiters don t know anything about food allergies and there is massive cross contamination happening in the kitchen.
We went for a late supper ....the staff were great and attentive to our needs.

Its been a while since my girls and I visited White Spot. Upon our arrival, the hostess inquired about the number of children, and I stated two, clarifying that the oldest is 10. She gave me a skeptical look, mentioning that shes quite tall for her age but I confirmed she is indeed 10. To emphasize this, even my daughter chimed in, declaring her age out loud. It felt like I almost needed to flash her ID after all, why would I lie about it? For our order, the kids opted for the pirate pak, and I chose the Avocado Burger with fries, along with the Zoo sticks appetizer. When the server asked if I wanted everything to come out at the same time, I agreed, thinking it would be convenient. However, upon receiving our food, the Zoo sticks were absent. I brought it to the servers attention, who acknowledged it, but as I approached the end of my burger (15 minutes later), neither the Zoo sticks nor the server had returned. I flagged down another server and requested the missing Zoo sticks. In hindsight, I probably should have just canceled the order (and ordered more bottomless fries instead.) In the end, I managed to eat three sticks and took the rest home. I found this location excelling in takeout and deliveries (steady stream of pickups), the in-house customer experience that Monday evening (December 4th) fell short of my expectations. We used to frequent this spot because the food was consistently hot and fast, but unfortunately, that wasnt the case this time. Vegetarian options: While there are vegetarian and vegan choices available, I do wish there were more varieties of burgers to choose from. Parking: The parking is covered, making it an ideal spot when its raining or snowing. Thats precisely why we chose to come here!
I would never choose to eat at WS. Just subpar food at stoopid prices. Friends met up there so i had coffee and it was not that good. I didnt take the refill. I ordered a rootbeer instead. They had fries with their burgers so i asked for gravy. I should have taken a picture. How do you screw up gravy... by serving gelatin gravy??? We all said blah. How you do anything is how you do everything. Your food just sucks. The stars belong to the wait staff. They were friendly and nice.
