A Thai Restaurant in New Westminster, BC, Canada
Service was fast even when the place was packed, but hard to grab the server as they are too busy. That said they offer lots of different dishes besides the usual skewer and curry, we had some of the very unique tasting dishes.
Fantastic authentic Thai food with generous portions at great prices. We tried several dishes and dessert, all of which were delicious and full of flavor. The service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself is surprisingly spacious. Highly recommend
Special to go food for my birthday. Reasonable price with good amount of food. I like the chicken wings, garlicky and bit sweet. Curry is good, but I really want the whole coconut curry to go next time instead of just curry
Great location & decent flavours of curry. Food comes quick and service is resonable. I like that they lay out in their menu what is gluten free and what can be made gluten free.
My favourite is the chicken satay skewers! Nice place with friendly staff. Definitely recommend! The price is inexpensive too!
I love their food! Everything is fresh and delicious, if you like Thai milk tea, hey! Must try! Everything is perfect 👍
A hidden gem in the neighbourhood with wide selections and delicious Thai cuisine! Love that there are lots of appetizers to choose from and they are all tasty. Green Curry, Pad Thai and Fried Rice are must try!
Exceptional service and delicious food. Everything was flavorful and delicious. Staff were cheerful and polite. I was able to make a reservation a few hours prior and it was packed. I recommend the chicken satay skewers.
Steamed curry is probably the best curry i ve ever tasted it s packed with seafood perfectly balanced and coconutty.
Their soups are only 3/4 full when getting takeaway. 3rd time getting soup, 3rd time partially full. You d think for $17, they would actually fill it up.
Sooooo gooood!
Always do a good take away on a Friday evening . Great restaurant in new west
First time eating at patsara Thai, highly recommended, great food, great people will definitely be back...a bit tight for parking but it was manageable
Thai spot in New West!
Must -try Thai spot in New Westminster! I ve stopped trying other places since discovering this gem. I ve worked my way through almost all of their dishes, visiting countless times for both dine-in and takeout, and I ve never been disappointed. The food is consistently delicious, and the quality is always top-notch. Highly recommend if you re looking for authentic Thai flavors!
Patsara is a fantastic spot! The menu options are diverse and truly authentic, showcasing the rich flavors of the cuisine. The food is delicious, and every dish Ive tried has been a delight. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. Plus, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. Just a heads up, they close on Mondays, so plan your visit accordingly.
Great tucked away location, very unassuming and simple. Great Pad Thai and rice dishes, service was very quick and not intrusive. Will definitely be back
This is a great little Thai hideaway that s actually deceiving in size. The food is consistently fantastic, the place is never/rarely slow with the kitchen adding amazing flavours into each dish. A must try in New Westminster. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian items with or without tofu. They try to be accommodating, just ask. Parking: As it s a residential neighbourhood, most parking is taken by residents or restricted to permit parking. Be prepared, at most, to walk a few blocks.
The food at this Thai restaurant is fantastic. Weve eaten here for years and always enjoy the food so much we buy extra to take home. Great service and friendly staff. Its totally worth the visit.
Only my second time eating Thai food and every dish our group ordered was quite delicious. Reasonable priced and good portions. I think my favourite dishes were the pad Thai and Tom yum fried rice. Parking: No dedicated parking, we parked down the street and walked.
My bf and I visited here on Friday night for dinner. We didn t make a reservation but luckily we got a table as it was very busy. The staff were great, the food was fantastic. I hadn t been here for several years as I moved out of the area, but after revisiting, it will be a regular spot for sure. I thought the price was very reasonable for what we ordered. Highly recommend.
Great!
The food was good!! I ll definitely visit again
We had a great experience at Patsara. We gave my sister in law a surprise bday party. The food was great and freshly made. Our servers (Matthew and another guy) was very patient with us and very attentive to our requests i.e. extra water etc. The cake presentation was the best part(we brought a bday cake). On their own initiative, they brought the cake to my sister in law with lighted candles and bday song from the sound system!! It was amazing, we were all suprised (not only the bday celebrant). Another important note, we did not know they close at 9pm and we were there past 9.30pm and they never said a word. We will definitely come back to this amazing restaurant. Thank you Patsara (shout out to Kim) for an unforgettable wonderful experience
Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options Food
Portion is good, not really spicy and the curry is too watery for my taste. I really like their yellow curry and Khao Soi, you can buy the paste and make your own at home. Food : 4/5
The restaurant is clean and the food is delicious.
need more server
We love Thai foods. Pad Thai tasted really good. We ordered a few dishes there, and they were all good.
We came for a dinner on Sunday night, 6.30 pm and the place was full, which, we thought, was a good sign. The waiter said we would have to wait about 30 min to be seated, which would be ok if it didn t take like 50 min. But it was only a beginning of the wait for us. After finally getting a table and the water and the menu were brought to us, we had to wait another 20 min for the guy to return for us to make an order, another half an hour and the waiter brought the food only for one person out of 3. Another 10 min and the rest of it had arrived. And after that we were completely abandoned there at our table with the guy never checking on us again. The food was not too bad, except green papaya salad, which I expected to be fresh and juicy and had a bunch of hard papaya full of soy sauce and 4 little shrimps, which I could not eat. After we were done, we spent another 15 min trying to get the guy to attend to us and I had to almost yell for him to finally pay attention and come to us. We ask him for a bill and the boxes to take the rest of food with us. He brought just boxes and no bill. At this point we were desperate to just leave and ended up getting up and coming to the cash register to be able to pay and go. I said straight to the guy that I was not leaving him any tips because we felt ignored and his customer service sucked to which he apologized but didn t seem to care.
Best Thai I ve had in Canada. I only tried the curries so far, but they taste like Thailand! Fair prices. One of my new fav restaurants!
Most authentic Thai flavors I have had in Canada, but you may want to ask for more spicy to make an exact match to Thailand. The place is busy, so make a reservation, but even then you might have limited time. For a true Thai experience, you cant just order one meal per person, you need to order multiple dishes for the table and share, so bring lots of friends. Nice Thai atmosphere.
Great food at Patsara Thai! My favorite is the pangang curry. Its absolutely delicious! They are able to cater to a lot of different dietary restrictions. I am celiac and have always had good experiences. The atmosphere is lovely. Extremely clean, comfortable and well decorated. Service is always wonderful too.
The curry is too salty and even bitter. The Thai coffee is too watery. Not recommend.
Best thai place in vancouver!
Recently visited this place with a couple of friends earlier this week. Great and friendly servers who helped recommending great dishes. Spacious and good food.
Always the best Thai food in town!
Love this place. The food is excellent. My only suggestions is that if a dish is asked to be spicy, then please make it spicy - I can take it!
The food is delicious and the portions are sufficient
My go to thai place. Everything has been good and I go here often when I dont want to cook. Great food!
This is a restaurant recommended for those who enjoy Thai cuisine. The interior is splendid, and of course, the food is delicious. There are friendly staff members available. Additionally, one side of the restaurant is decorated for purchasing Thai ingredients. I recommend taking a look around after your meal.
Loved this unassuming little restaurant! The service is impeccable, the décor lovely and the food is fabulous. I m still dreaming about the fried tofu and delectable drunken noodles. Highly recommend a visit - I ll be back! 5
A culinary gem in danger of being overshadowed by Michelin accolades! This Thai restaurant offers an unparalleled dining experience, surpassing any Thai food Ive ever tasted. Each dish transcends the ordinary, delivering a sublime fusion of flavors that defy description. Trust me, words cant do justice to the sheer deliciousness. Dont miss out; experience it for yourself before it becomes a victim of its own success.
Great food. Would definitely go again. Wish they offered the deep fried banana desert that other Thai restaurants offer
Great atmosphere and food was delicious
Best Thai food in the Lower Mainland.
Dont be fooled by the modest exterior, this gem of a Thai restaurant is very pretty inside and the staff are superb. I am not a huge connoisseur of That food but I can promise you the flavours are extraordinary in the dishes at Patsara! Theyll customize your dishes according to your particular appetites, and the portions are perfect for eating family style. If youre in New Westminster, do yourself a favour and grab a bite at this lovely eatery!
Delicious Thai food, that is actually affordable. Really good fry on appetizer dishes like tofu, wontons and roti. A lot of their dips are honey based which I thought was interesting. I had drunken noodles which was good but felt a bit too oily.
Had red curry, spicy fish with milk rice. Staff was pretty good and the pick-up timing was right-on. But the taste was very below average.
I recently celebrated my birthday here with a large party. I can t begin to tell you how happy I was with this place. Food was amazing, well priced and the staff was very friendly. Thank you hosting my birthday dinner
We moved into the new westminster area and were looking for a place to eat. We found Patsara and loved it ever since. The wait staff are professional and unlike most places, will offer to pack your food for you. Saving you the hassle. Yes the food still can be a bit salty, but the best time to go is usually on the weekdays, give Tuesday a try, it might surprise you. Overall we have done both dine in and take out and weve always enjoyed our dinners. I always go for the spicy southern stir fry (Go with hot, I made the mistake of going for Thai hot and it burns) and my partner goes with the Chili fish (also hot level) and a Thai ice tea to wash it all down. Overall great experience in New Westminster and even though parking can be a bit tricky, its not a far walk if you park on the opposite side of the street and have a quick walk over. Its not too far of a walk from the skytrain either. Making it accessable from car or transit. Vegetarian options: Great assortment of vegetarian and GF options, you can also always say less salt in the meals to ensure you dont have a salty dinner Parking: Paid parking in front of Pizzeria Ludicia on the street and also down Begbie street. Be mindfull as it is hill parking.
This is my go to place for Thai food. Really love the ambience, staff and food. The quantity served is amazing. The staff is very courteous.
A hidden gem in New Westminster! The food is amazingly authentic Service is great, attentiveness and attention to detail is always present. Sometimes the food comes out a bit slower but thats because its a small restaurant and kitchen. Pls be patient! The staff are kind and courteous! Kudos to the water boy! He refills water ASAP and is polite and an efficient worker! The food is so good and is a definite must dine location in the area! I suggest the pad Thai, panang curry and the green papaya salad!
The food is good - 4/5 We like the roti (small portion, but tasty), drunken noodles, pad see ew, and tom kha soup. Atmosphere and service are good. Theres now a little area at the front where you can buy Thai grocery items. I wish Patsara provided more value for the price. Two people can eat out for $60-80, and I wish we were more full at the end. There isnt much competition for Thai food thats open at dinnertime in New West, so eventually Ill be back, despite the cost.
Thank you Google! A search for restaurants in New Westminster led us to Patsara. I drive through New West all the time but doubt Id ever have stumbled across this place without Googles assistance. Its in a low, unassuming, eggplant coloured building on a side street, without any external signage. There is an unilluminated sign on the other side of the window, and its really easy to miss. Worth looking for though! The prices, decor, service and food were all very good. The two of us shared the pad thai, green curry with chicken, and the pad prig khing gai. Great colour and great flavour in all three, and generous portions on the latter two. No cocktails unfortunately, and a very poor selection of alcoholic beverages in general. No hot coffee either. A decent amount of street parking in the immediate area, and a parkade just down the street. Reservations accepted. A brisk takeout service is also available.
Great place for dine in. Very friendly and helpful staff. We went there about 40 mins before the closure on a Frida. Food came very fast yet retained the taste and quality. Staff personnally helped in sorting out my parking issue as we went to New West location. Portions were very good in size yet tasty. We took over 20 mins passing the actual closure time to finish our dinner but the service remained same as it is a normal business time. Good service and good food. Friendly staff. Vegetarian options: Im a vegetarian and they had some good tofu dishes. We bought the roti for appetizer and loved the taste of it. Also sizzling tofu was great with just with some white jasmine rice.
My favorite ppace for Thai food. Very authentic and reasonable price. Very friendly staffs too. They used to have a location downtown but too bad it closed down.
Had the Tom yum shrimp, delicious! Sadly wasn t the biggest fan of the sweetness to the crispy wontons but no complaints! Everything else was perfect for me, beautiful decor, friendly and quickly efficient staff. Would come again!
The food is reliable, but taste a little flat, as though the sauces may not fresh. Kind staff and nice atmosphere though.
Beautiful hidden gem, delicious food with a very unique flavor. Only issue was I asked for spicy and it was extremely spicy (and I can handle heat). Wasn t an issue though because the flavor was so incredible! Just be careful if you re sensitive to spice. Lovely friendly staff, really accommodating with great service. Parking: Street parking was a bit tough on a Friday night but mainly because there was snow and ice on the side of the roads.
Its was a very large bowl of food yummy!!
The food was delicious and had great vegetarian options.
Came here with our friends. Service was very slow. It took an hour before any of our appetizers even showed up. They forgot an item completely and when we asked we were told they are still working on it.. so we decided to cancel it as our mains had arrived.. but they brought it out so we decided to keep the item. Same thing with our mains, we ate the entire meal and one item was missing the whole time. At the end of our meal we told them to cancel that item since we had our dinner already. We were again told that they are working on it. The item did arrive but we were all done. They decided to give it to us on the house so we did try it for the sake of trying and it was already prepared. The food overall is very decent. We enjoyed most of the dishes that we ordered. However the service was a huge let down. No one came to even offer water or ask for drink order when our items were forgotten or being worked on it would ve been nice to have the communication rather than us always trying to get our servers attention and wondering what was going on. Again food was decent but we won t be back because of just super super slow service and just not enough communication.
Great Thai food and very cool ambience with beautiful wood crossbeam on the ceiling! Green curry and pat see ew are my favourite! Servers are knowledgeable and friendly! The lady at the cashier is lovely too Well definitely come back!
Service started a bit slow, but quickly improved. Food came out as ordered. All food dishes were good. The only reason for 4 i/o 5 stars : although food was good, Ive had better. I would have given 4.5 stars but thats not an option. Would I go back or recommend: YES.
First time dining there as it was recommended by a friend. I had the Massamun Curry with braised beef. I asked that they please not include pineapple. Which they kindly left out. Unfortunately I guess that also meant the beef. There was 3 tiny morsels of beef in the entire dish. As pictured, on the left side of the plate you can count the beef, I thought there was more in the bowl, nope. Just sauce. $20 including tip for plenty of potatoes, curry sauce and rice, with 3 grape sized pieces of beef is too high of a price to pay. Also my friend didn t like her Drunken noodle dish either. Barely touched it. Apparently they said this place used to be good in the past. Wouldn t recommend. Service was fine, food and portions not so much.
This place is amazing! The food is great. The ambiance is nice. We were there this evening and our server (Matthew) was PHENOMENAL! We are used to receiving good service at Patsara, but Matthew went above and beyond! We will be back for sure!
We had the Pad Thai tofu and Tom kha soup. The soup was a bit pricey for the quantity and the pad Thai could have been more flavorful. The service on the whole was really slow, it took forever to get the bill and walk out.
The staff is friendly and friendly! The food is very close to the taste of authentic Thai food! Worth recommending to everyone to try
Good service good food. Portions were just right.
Beautiful place with delicious vegan menu
Food: Before talking about the food, my friend and I arrived at 7 pm and ordered at around 7:10 pm. We waited almost 40 mins to get the first appetizer. We ordered Roti with curry dip, which was super oily, the oiliest roti we have ever tasted. We would not suggest this appetizer. For the main dish, we ordered red curry, pad thai and pineapple fried rice. When the pineapple fried rice first arrived, it was cold on the surface. The red curry was okay but did not have much flavour compared to other Thai dishes we have tried. Last but not least, the pad Thai was fantastic. Without the pad Thai, I would give this restaurant one or two stars only. We would strongly suggest customers try pad Thai. Customer service: the servers were friendly no complaints about that. Parking: there is not much parking available on the street. I was looking for parking for around 10 mins.
Excellent!! Everything was fresh, hot and delicious!
Excellent food and service at a very reasonable price. The exterior is ghastly but once you make it inside the decor is fantastic and there is ample seating. Would recommend!
This place is hands down my favourite thai place for their fried rice! The other food here is good too but we have came here on multiple occasions ordering a table of fried rice . The only thing is that the place is pretty small so a reso is definitely needed.
Still my favorite Thai restaurant in BC. Came on a busy Saturday night and they were honest and upfront that the kitchen was behind and told us ahead of time food would take 30 mins to come; I super appreciated this. Even though it was super busy, the service was top notch the whole time. Food is still solid as always. Highly recommend.
A bit salty to our family s taste but overall the curry, tom yum is good and the skewer is juicy
Very good food and friendly service, it used to be better but its still good
Tasty food! Doesn t look like much from the outside, but decent spot for sure.
This is a gem of a place. The outside looks inconspicuous but once you enter you are treated to a delight! Everything we got was top notch. Try the Thai tea, you wont regret it. Curry, cashew nut chicken, roti Appy all great decisions. Service is also top notch. Give this place a try.
The food here and atmosphere is great. Love the seating, it s super comfortable, and the staff are very nice too
Best service, served delicious food and we enjoyed it. Also they got sauces from Thailand which is hard to find in Canada.
The outside doesn t look really appealing, but once we got inside, the space looks really well-decorated with the stream of water running down the wall, and plenty of elephant statues. There s even a small market with lots of authentic Thai stuff you can t find anywhere else. The owner is Thai, so you know the food is authentic. The servers are nice and helpful. The food are flavorful. The Green Papaya Salad and Thai Traditional Fish Cake are good starters, the salad was bright, fresh and refreshing. I wish the fish cake was chewier. The Beef Massamun Curry had a confusing taste, I don t know if it was supposed to taste like peanuts. The Mango Sticky Rice is the best dessert here, the sticky rice had the exact taste like in Thailand, sweet and had a good aroma. Young Coco Bua Loy was heaven! The coconut milk was not too sweet, creamy and savory, with coconut meat and chewy balls. Price was surprisingly not bad. It s pretty okay compared to other Thai places. This place worths a 8.5/10. Definitely would come back!
Loved the gold decor. We went and ordered the Crispy Shrimp Wontons and Chicken Satay. They were great starters. And can t remember the noodles that I had. It had crispy egg noodles on top and the whole citrusy kick of the lime with the sauce/curry/gravy was an absolute burst of flavours. Would definitely go back again.
We had dinner here about a month ago, had chicken green curry with coconut rice and shrimp Pad Thai, everything was delicious and wonderfully prepared. Visited for the second time a few days ago and had the two same items, the green curry was not as tasty with undercooked eggplants, coconut rice was very dry and had no taste of coconut. The seasoning for the Pad Thai was also a bit off almost too sweet. We want to give it another try as we really enjoyed the food during our initial visit! The servers were most professional and attentive during both visits!
It s hard to tell the place is actually a semi fancy restaurant from outside but it is actually a popular Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. It wasn t busy on Monday evening but I have seen it full on many occasions so booking is recommended. Food are good quality. And it s fun to try their menus as most turned out to be decent and better.
Wheelchair accessibility: Street level access Food
We had a blast last night and felt right at home for our birthday dinner get -together with friends thanks to the very attentive, accomodating, and efficient crew who went all out to extend excellent customer service. Great menu selection, delightful flavours, cozy ambiance which set the tone for a truly fun and memorable celebration. Shout out to Pook, Raffy and rest of the staff for a job well-done!
Best Thai food in the New Westminster area. Quality, presentation and taste is amazing. The food doesnt come out together so if that bothers you, try to be patient. The food is well worth it! Nice and clean atmosphere, polite and professional staff.
Food was great, especially with the added value, I got an amazing meal for the price. The default tipping options were insane though, I didnt get service, I picked up my food and you turned a debit machine around to me, somehow I dont think 20% is a fair minimum tip. But thats just how crazy the service industry has become. Also maybe Im blind but you have barely any signage to identify your business, the most prominent sign said Asian Market or something in the window.
How to express my love for this restaurant since 2017? (They closed for so long during the Covid years, I was so sad thinking theyre permanently closed) Their tomyum is as tasty as my husband and I had to order 1 for each of us. Its a party of flavor in the tomyum bowl. Seafood tomyum is real & fresh seafood with clams, fish, and prawn. Pad Thai was delicious too. Both red & green Thai milk tea were great. Attentive staff & very reasonable prices. 100% will come back.
Tasty and well-priced Thai! Super fast if you are getting takeout, its always ready in 15-20 mins. Standard curries, pad thai and rice dishes that satisfy a thai food craving.
Street parking only with meter around 3.25/hr. Went in at around 8 and wasn t too busy. The taste was great and price was fair.
Service and food were mediocre. Ordered: Thai iced tea with milk - it was quite overly sweet for me and wasnt able to taste the flavour of the tea; Roti with curry dip - it seemed as if the roti was deep fried, very crispy and flaky, but also dripping with oil; Drunken noodles with pork - the pork was nicely cooked, but the dish was quite salty for everyone in the group; Red curry with beef - asked for the dish to be spicy, but it was only a tickle/ hint of spiciness. Paired well with 80% rice and 20% curry. The group agreed that the curry was otherwise quite salty on its own; and Khao soi chicken - the chicken was nicely cooked with an assorted colours of vegetables. The dish was also quite salty, making it easy for the group to stay hydrated with water.
Just brought my old man to Patsara Thai for Fathers Day. The food there is so good and everyone enjoyed it. We put a reserve order in for the mango sticky rice dessert right when we sat down because apparently they do sell out of it.
Pad Thai is delish, the place is awesome and the attendants very simpathetic. 10/10
Good cervice, reasonable prices, food is good, just a little too for my taste
Wide selection of food choices, fair pricing, and well decorated dining environment. Staff are friendly, music is not too loud. The food is well plated, well seasoned. The only thing was that the skewers we had were a bit salty, maybe the chef added salt by accidence (?) Dessert was pretty good, the green sticky rice with coconut milk was AMAZING, but the mango was a bit too dry. Roti was a surprise, they were served in deep fried style. Very interesting way of experiencing roti.
Excellent food!! Pad thai and drunken noodles were amazing!
Food was a tad too salty. Nothing outstanding here, quality has reduced with inflation it seems.
We were a party of 4 for early dinner Friday night. Took a long time to take our order or get water, but the servers were great after that about filling up our water! The food was good, however the 4th person in our party did not get their meal until the 3 of us were half-done our meals. We literally thought they had forgot about it, took another 10-15 minutes. Also, there was no explanation nor apology for the very late 4th dish. The lack of follow up for the very late 4th dish kind of ruined our dinner together. Also, there is no AC, so on a hot day (like Friday) it was pretty sweaty! Parking: Only street parking, very difficult to find any. We parked a number of blocks away and walked back.
Food food but service can be alittle slow
I ordered the Massaman Curry Chicken and Padsiew Beef during my visit. While the chicken dish was satisfactory, I found the beef dish to be excessively oily, overpowering the overall flavor profile. Regrettably, I must express that the food, on the whole, can be considered average at best.
Tom yum fried rice is a must try!!! Absolutely unparalleled. Green curry and koh samui were delicious too! I would not get the papaya salad or drunken noodle, as both tasted heavily soy sauce based. Portions are good, bang for buck! Decor and atmosphere are nice. All food came within 20 min after ordering on a Wednesday evening.
Food was very good
Foods amazing and well priced. Wish they had longer open hours.
Oh man, where to begin... Phenomenal food, reminds me of Northern Thai. The staff were very friendly and the place is beautiful. Highly recommend this amazing place!! Went back and the food is just as good, if not better!! Love this place!
I must say the food was truly good and would possibly recommend people going here, although do consistently mention on allergies if you have it. Just cause of the fact that one of my family members has a severe allergy that we did mention to our server but they ll also just avoid that dish. My family member ate that dish leading to nearly a critical state. Thankfully they are okay, but if you do come here consistently mention about allergies.
Havent been to Patsara in ages, but was in the area and couldnt resist dining in. Its nice to see their quality is still up to par for a decent price point. Had their Massamun Curry for the first time, and it had the perfect level of tang and sweetness. It came with a considerable amount of tender chicken thighs as far as curries go. As it typical, they only give one mound of rice with the curry so I took the remainder home to eat the next day. My friend had the Khao Soi and had no issues, she enjoyed the different textures (crispy noodles) and the egg noodles to absorb the curry sauce. Service was friendly. I had a question about the gluten item(s) in the pineapple fried rice and the server told me it was in the oyster sauce, so I appreciated the knowledge of the menu. The restaurant isnt that large and we were seated next to the restaurants kitchen window with cutlery and dishes, so there can, at times, be a line of servers waiting to serve diners/bring dishes to tables (basically facing you if you are seated at that table). Would be happy to come back for take out or dine in, hopefully it wont take me another few years!
The food is delicious, the tom yum soup, satay chicken, salad, and fried rice noodles are all great! Sweet and sour, very authentic Thai taste.
Went here with a friend as its a short walk from the skytrain station. Its easily missed as there is not a big sign. Food was very good and reasonably priced. I wish they had more drink options but overall I was quite impressed. I would recommend it if you are looking for a solid Thai place in the area.
We had a very good time at Patsara. Food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to make the evening great. Highly recommend this place. Food
I rarely write reviews but the cashier was very kind and even filled up my ice for me for my coffee! Definitely a must go for anyone who happens to be in new west
Great service. Looks much nicer on the inside!
Took our daughter for her birthday. First time trying Thai food. Good experience. Nice restaurant and good service.
I went with my friends. The restaurant is pretty spacious. The thai green curry was really mediocre. I asked them to make mild spicy and all I tasted was sweet curry. We were four people they gave all the order on time and forgot my order. The waiter was good but we literally had fo wait 15 mins to get our bill sorted because they couldn t split it. I was really looking forward to trying the food as the reviews were good. Sorry but won t visit again.
Wow the food here is super rich, full of delicious flavour. Service is friendly and quick.
Great price for authentic and delicious food! Their curry is thick and flavourful. Plus their interior is absolutely gorgeous. I ll be coming back again!
I had a great expectation based on the good reviews but I was disappointed The food here is too salty, and we could not finish the food. I had a lamb massam curry, papaya salad, and stir fried fish. Papaya salad was full of fish sauce and very salty. Same goes for stir fried fish. Massam curry was okay but lack of flavor. The service was nice and I like the atmosphere.
Fabulous food and a local favourite dinner spot.( I wish it was open for lunch or did delivery). Great for casual dining or date night. Reservations are recommended. Thai beef salad also recommended Wheelchair accessibility: Its a bit tight and a big bump to get into the restaurant, but staff are extremely accommodating.
What a surprise, just dropped by for a quick dinner not expecting much, looked mediocre from the outside but when I stepped in, was surprised to see a nice setting inside, clean and nice , not very fancy but I loved it, food was way above expectations, service by male waiter was amazing! For the prices they charge, it s a hidden gem in my opinion, if you re expecting more than this yore not being realistic especially under the post covid conditions!
Ordered take-out online. Easy to navigate and make notes. Friendly customer service Great good always! Food : 5/5
This Thai restaurant used to be good. They changed chefs recently and many of my old favorites were not good. Green Thai Curry, Pad Thai, and few other dishes were just not the same. Too bad. This place used to be solid.
Thai foods are very authentic especially spicy curry fish and southern stir fry. server are friendly and nice. Restaurant is very clean. overall is very excellent experience in Thai Restaurant of Vancouver.
Very authentic, thai fried rice had real aromatic basil. Ingredients were very fresh. Only thing I would like to see improve is the rice was colder than other items in fried rice. Perhaps a proper wok hay to warm up all the ingredients would hit the spot! Would definitely recommend for some great thai food Parking: All the paid street parking is usually taken, might have to park on street couple of blocks away
Food was good, service was a little slow. Besides that, well be back.
Our family go-to for Thai food in New Westminster.
The food was awesome but the service sucked big time. I m just being honest here. We only ordered two dishes: tom yum soup and a special dish. But we had to wait for 20 mins, while the people next to me got their food first even though they ordered after us. The servers ignored us like we were invisible. Then I asked a server and he said 5 mins, but it was actually 15 more mins. They totally forgot about my orders until I asked them. They didn t even say sorry or anything. Lucky for them, the food was super good. If the service isnt a thing to u, then ill recommend this restaurant. If not, i hope u guys reading this should think about it.
Authentic Thai Food. Very beautiful interior. Food is delicious and tastes awesome. All the best to them.
Good vibes! Food taste could have been better. Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options. Recommended dishes Drunken Noodles
Great selection on the menu which made it hard to settle on just one entree. Ordered the deep fried shrimp wontons and they were so good. I ve been here a couple of times and the food has always been great tasting and well presented. The service is always friendly and prompt. I first came here because a friend recommended this gem and I wasn t disappointed.
The service was very good, everyone smiled and was very kind. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The food didn t have much flavour unfortunately the serving sizes were good and prices weren t bad.
Friendly staff, amazing food and comfortable space. Came here on a weekend with a large group. No fuss at all and super accommodating with our food allergies. The Penang curry and roti were unique and surpassed our expectations. Pad Thai was a crowd favourite too - made with tamarind not ketchup ;)
The taste is authentic, I tried some special dishes, and the store was full of people on weekends. The only flaw is that I missed my favorite Pad thai and didnt place an order for me...
I usually get the Pad Thai for takeout but I decided to sit in. The service felt genuine and I enjoyed my time eating here. Id highly recommend the food was absolutely delicious. I couldnt finish all of it as their portion sizes are fair. Also priced are fair too. I love the fact they have alot of gluten - free items , and care about allergies. Dietary restrictions: I am celiac, there is tons to eat here and staff are very inclusive with allergies.
Absolutely authentic, loved everything about the place. Food, service, ambiance, music! Best Thai food in Vancouver.
Absolutely loved the food here. It s my first time in Patsara and we ordered a few dishes and they did not disappoint. Definitely coming back!
I will come up with what I dont like: parking is super stressful in the hub of New Westminster. It took me 15 minutes and eventually ended up parking at handicap spot. What an experience. Food is so so. The noodle in the bowl is terrible, but the pad thai saves it all. The chicken is smoky and tender while the prawns is Costco kinda quality. The atmosphere is good of recalling BKK Thailand mixed with Thai ancient buddhist music. Staff are ok and on point. Washroom and restaurant architecture are unique. Overall, 3/5 and I will go back for your staff good service
I was soo disappointed for dishes. I ordered of the Green curry with beef and phat Thai with chiken . Both were tooooo salty and strong taste. Beef in curry wasnt soft and chiken in phat Thai has smell. I had to drink water a lot. Restaurant is cozy and nice interior but food was not good enough. Not recommended.
The applies were great! The Roti was incredible. I didnt love the curry I tried (red/pumpkin), so Ill try a different one next time. Vegetarian options: Some options Dietary restrictions: They will accommodate
Great spot for a bite with friends. The new menus are much nicer and clearly state vegan and GF options which makes ordering easy. Service depends on the day, but on our most recent visit it was quite good. Vegetarian options: They have some vegan and gluten free options clearly labeled which is helpful
Thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Patsara Thai. I was pleasantly surprised how spacious and beautiful the inside was. Food was amazing and fresh and overall reasonably priced. Authentic, fresh Thai food. I would highly recommend this venue. Vegetarian options: They have a full vegan menu.
Best Thai in the New Westminster that I have had Good quality ingredients, good portions, and authentic.
The service fast fast, the staff was nice and friendly. The food was very delicious, good portions and affordable. I highly recommended this place! Apatsara Thai new Westminster
What a gem of a restaurant... On our last visit, we decided to get dishes that we havent typically ordered at other Thai places. Everything was top notch. Value, taste, aesthetics... .
Decor is great and also the soothing music. Very little vegetarian options compared to any other Thai restaurant I have been. Really loved the initial 2 dishes ( soup and pineapple fried rice) but the yellow curry was almost inedible ( too salty and turmeric) and the deserts were just sweetened sugary coconut milk. The service is good , but staff didn t have a clue of how to handle a complaint.
very traditional Thai restaurant. It tastes really good! Parking: might have to walk a bit because it is a busy area, difficult to find a parking spot
The food was delicious and fresh. Prepared very quickly! Excellent service. Will definitely visit again.
Fantastic! I Loved it!
Food was excellent fresh and hot. Service was very good as well. Highly recommended. Food
Did not deliver the rice extra, even i had paid. She argued and did not deliver. We paid for extra rice. She (Pook) was rude.
Vegetarian options: Most of their curries could be ordered in vegetarian choices. Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate dietary requests which was convenient.
Discovered one of the towns top Thai restaurants after struggling to find a good one since moving to Vancouver. Tried their Kapao fried rice, and it was incredibly delicious. Tried spring rolls as well they were also yummy. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal.
Second time to dine at this place. Parking is not easy as there s only street parking. Food was good. Except the rice was not very fluffy and the grains were hard. Atmosphere was great but a tad too cold. We got seated at a table for two that barely had any space so we asked to get transferred to a bigger table
The kitchen and restaurant are clean, the curry tastes good, the food is a bit sweet Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian menu
Traditional Thai cusine
Sweet Pad Thai, portion size is good. The chicken pad Thai had 1 piece of chicken. Overall okay experience. Slightly expensive too. $18/pp
Only ever had the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew, but Ive had them both many times. That should say something.
Best pad thai Ive had outside of Bangkok. The drunken noodle is also very good. Eat here often never disappointed with the food or service.
The service was very nice, however the food did not have the authentic flavours I was looking for. The Roti was too flakey like a filo pastry, the green curry was not good at all and the egg plant was mediocre. Again missing that authenticity. The restaurant was spacious
I love it here. The food is delicious and the staff is kind. Especially Green Curry is a fantasy. Please make sure everyone has been there.
Amazing.
Ordered 2 PadThai and we found it a little dry and flavorless.
Loved this place. Every food we ordered was so good abs tasty. Must try coconut dessert and pineapple rice. For parking its hard to find spot but eventually you will find it. Parking is street parking. Ambience is so good also the staff is very helping and nice
Ordered the special curry in a coconut which is not on the main menu, pad Thai and spicy fish curry (which is not spicy at all) and they were all very delicious! The flavours are amazing! It s a small restaurant so you have to make reservations. It was busy for a Wednesday evening. The issue with the place for me was the fruit flies that flew around us during the meal.
Food is not spicy enough if you eat spicy growing up in South East Asia. But the price is super affordable and the vibes are amazing for its price. Our sticky rice was too dry and hard.
Best Thai food in town. Must try spicy seafood curry. Its so yummy.
This restaurant was a good find for us using reviews from Google map. Thankful that we found this restaurant. Good location, streetside parking can be tricky but wasn t a trouble. Well spaced seating arrangement and toilets were clean. Hosts were courteous and nice. They asked for reservation but we didn t have one, but we got the table in next 2-3 minutes. Food was good. Quite close to authentic Thai food we ve eaten in Bangkok and other Thai cities we ve been to. Spice level were good enough and taste was good too. Only two issues we found were: a little diluted Iced Thai Tea. Chicken pieces were too big and they should be smaller pieces. Portioning was decent and plenty for us to eat. We all ate well and tummy full. One big issue . One fly kept troubling us and we kept waving it off but none of the host noticed us or came to help us. We would appreciate it if you have fly killers installed. Overall a good thai restaurant and we woupd go there again.
I really do like this place, but tonight? Not so much. My partner and I showed up to dine in and we were immediately dismissed at the front. When we were finally acknowledged five minutes later, were told it would be 45 minutes or more for a table. No problem, we opted for take out instead and came back 25 minutes later. When we came back, the restaurant was half full with many tables available, so the 45 minute wait was obviously not true... As I was paying for our meal, I tipped 16 percent. The person behind the counter seemed annoyed/disappointed at the amount I tipped, even though it was takeout. When I thanked them, they ripped the receipt out of the machine and didn t say another word to us as we were leaving. Nothing. I enjoy the food, it s good. But, I probably won t eat here again.
Exquisite flavours and wonderful service. We ordered the papaya salad and asked for mild, but the dish came out super spicy. When we told the server, they got the kitchen to add more papaya to mellow out the heat. Pad Thai was super flavourful as well! Really enjoyed the seafood curry. Had lots of good variety of seafood. Also shared the dessert (not pictured) and it was amazing! Was almost too full to eat it, but worth it. Love how the menu includes info about what dishes are gluten free. Will be coming back here again and also want to try their take out. I d say going there is worth it for the presentation and service.
Delicious and enjoyable meal
Tom yum soup was delicious, and the wok fried aubergines melted in your mouth. Only negative is the chicken in Penang curry and soup likely were cooked separately so didnt blend in well. Also small portions of beef and chicken were served, maybe due to inflation? Overall priced well though and liked the little Thai groceries corner in the restaurant.
Neighborhood restaurant with authentic international taste
Best Thai in new west!
Very good service I picked up and took home, it was still hot when we got home and tasted delicious! Would dine again.
