Salas rolls were dry and chewy. Did not taste fresh. Pho was surprisingly tasteles
The meat did not seem fresh. It had a fishy flavor. The meatball was frozen still on the inside. I only ate the noodles because I was skeptical of getting food poisoning. Never coming back to this place.
Food tastes fine but the meat wasn’t fresh, my girlfriend and I both got food poisoning and were really sick that night. we also had to leave quickly cause the server kept staring at my girlfriend really weird and it was making us uncomfortable update: we both got extremely sick from the food poisoning and have had a stomach bug lasting multiple weeks 🫠
I ordered the #30 special spicy noodle soup and Vietnamese spring rolls. The soup was very tasty but I found it had a lot more oil/grease than other places I have tried. Only comes with Vietnamese ham and beef brisket. I added beef ball for an extra charge of 3$. The spring rolls were all cut up into little pieces, which is not good because they get very cold very fast so I would suggest to have them not do that next time. Portion size was good for price. Asked for chilli oil on the side but only got hoisin/siracha. This was a take out order but if I was to eat inside I noticed the door didn’t close properly and there was a draft coming inside.
Food is here is not good. The spring roll was filled mostly with taro and seasoned with too much pepper. Pho came with 2 slices of meatballs and the other order came without any meatballs.
Great location right outside my building 😁 the food is delicious, me and my son always get the pork chops or pork chop and chicken combo my wife really likes the Pho the skewers are tasty and there Banh Mi are very good as well.
The missus and I have eaten at Pho Angkor twice in the last 2 weeks and both on Friday evenings. Pho Angkor is located in the Columbia Square Plaza shopping centre in New Westminster. We learned from the owner that they had opened only for about a month now and is affiliated by family with Pho Express Angkor in Queensborough. We have tried the Vietnamese spring rolls, Lemongrass Chicken with Rice and the Lemongrass Beef Vermicelli bowl. We found the food was excellent and the service was prompt. The restaurant was not busy for a Friday evening but that may be due to the restaurant not being discovered yet. We enjoyed our food and would be back to try other items on the menu. Payment is only by debit or cash.
Not bad, but not amazing. Pho is a decent size, I got the rare beef with tendon... Rare beef was great, but tendon isn't worth ordering, too chewy. Spring rolls are great, definitely get those! Beef skewers tasted great, but I wish they were grilled. I have yet to try their grilled meats for vermicelli noodles. Fast service, free WiFi. Booths will NOT fit larger people. Cash or Debit only.
Hard working couple delivering yummy pho
Very generous servings on the noodles and the coconut milkshake is a must by
Friendly folks. Food is tasty and good value.
They refuse to sell steamed rice. I ve been ordering from them for a while (both from their menu and sometimes just steamed rice) but suddenly the guy told me today that they will no longer sell me rice. When I get it I buy 2 small servings- one for me and one for my wife- and I pay $9+tip. I know I m probably crazy for buying rice when I could make it cheaper but my wife and I work 6 jobs btwn us and have a young kid so we re always pressed for time and it s easier to buy it. But suddenly he refuses to sell it. As a test I even offered to pay more but he still refused. Who refuses to sell 2 servings of rice? He couldn t explain. He s probably making 90% profit off our sale. And we ve been long time take-out customers. He just suddenly refuses to sell me rice Am I crazy? I will be buying my plain, steamed rice elsewhere from now on. They ve lost 2 long term customers. We ll go to one of the 3 other Vietnamese restaurants up the road from now on.
Really good pho. Good portions
One of my fav places to eat around the area. Quickly became a regular!
Food is pretty good. Seasoning could be a little stronger but I think that is personal preference.
Bland broth, the soup is the most important for pho, but if you can t get it right please work on it! Positive: Quick service and big noodle portion. Negative: service is unwelcoming, price is higher than normal pho restaurants, meat portion is small. Please get the soup right.
Parking: 3 hour limit Food
Been here two times. First time was great. Second time just ok.
Hidden gem Husband and I love this spot. Best spring rolls we have ever had. Pho is delicious. Lemon grass chicken and pork amazing. Pad Thai amazing! Warm, friendly staff Recommended dishes Lemon Grass Chicken
We were excited to try this place and it didn t disappoint. Portions are generous and food is delicious. We ordered spicy rare beef soup and lemons grass chicken vermicelli with spring roll.
Great little place in New West. I have eaten here a few times over the past couple of months. The food is good and clean no issues there. The owner/chef is a gem very kind and has great customer service skills. Will go again and again! My young kids loved the food as well! Parking: Free Plaza parking all around Kid-friendliness: My kids loved it!
The best wonton veggie noodle soup! Love it! And the owners are lovely, this is now my go to place. Thanks! Megan
The best restaurant.. I love it
Good bun bo hue better then most of the places around
Ordered the bbq pork vermicelli bowl, I am unsure when thinly sliced pieces of spam passed for bbq pork but this is the third place to do it. The spring roll was very greasy and over cooked, the vermicelli and sauce had little to no flavour. I ll be making the drive to Langley Vietnamese cuisine from here on out as they serve real meat on skewer, their bowls are packed with flavour and cost less for bigger plates.
The pho was good but the rice dish was bland same with the fish sauce. Didnt even give us utensils/hot sauce at the resturant after I asked, he just said yeah its in there and walked away. 50 dollars for 3 items and also the spring rolls look like its covered in plastic with a weird deep fried texture.
I m happy with this place. So far just tried the spicy well done beef pho but I ll be back
A quiet place but with a great mango salad, great in the summer. A mix of cashew, peanut and bell pepper along with the sweet mango.
Really good spot near new west station. I like the lemongrass chicken and rice
Simply Number one Pho. Great menu, super fresh ingredients. Foods have excellent flavours and well prepared.
Ive been here a couple of times now for takeout. Food is good and fresh. While I waited, I was offered tea or water. Nice addition to the neighbourhood.
Fairly new. Took over the sushi restaurant that use to be here. Now its Vietnamese pho . The plus. Nice menu with new things to try. There are even Thai curry dishes. I would say portion to price seems a bit high. This might steer repeat clients away. Either lower the price or bigger portions is my opinion. Flavors were great.
Great hole in the wall restaurant that serves excellent Vietnamese food. Their noodle soups have a good beef broth that is very flavorful. They also have great rice dishes that come with a lemongrass meat and fried eggs. Both options are great with noodle soups hitting the soul on a gloomier day while the rice dishes are great when its hot out as they come with a little veggies on the side.
Excellent soup and banh mi!
Got takeout for two, a pho Tai saté and a chicken sub. The chicken sub is our favorite in the area. Theres an added sauce with the grilled chicken that makes the sub that much more delicious. The saté soup is wonderfully spicy if youre a spice person. Not the peanut saté you might expect from other places, but something more closer resembling the spicy beef soup of a bún bò huê dish. Interior seemed very clean and well kept while we were there, decor is nice. Staff are super friendly and nice, they also brought our food out to us when we were on our way back to the restaurant after some shopping.
Very good Vietnamese food. If you are not a fan of MSG, then this is not the place for you. They use MSG in their noodle soups but I dont quite mind it if it tastes oood. Service is good. Food is fast. Will come back again!
Great food, clean restaurant and polite staff. I will recommend going here for Vietnamese food.
Authentic
Had a quick lunch at this place. The house special soup was amazing!!! Definitely would recommend. Really enjoyed the music and vibes. The server was super friendly and quick. Go check it out!
Good. I like their salad rolls and they are very fast and reliable.
Nice food and friendly staff!
Horrendous experience. And a warning for everyone. Was really surprised to get a bill with 10% off for $86.20 when we ordered some meat on rice, chicken wings and vermicelli combo (price range from 11.75 to 17.50 per item) plus milkshake (which was 7.75 for a medium cup). Grabbed a menu, recalculated in front of the waitress item by item. My result was $51.75 before promised 10% discount. The waitress apologized, took it back to the kitchen and returned with $49.20 bill. When pointed that 51.75-10% will be $46.58, she said that she will only give us 5% off as she didnt include taxes. I can image one can miscalculate for a couple of bucks or round it up, but excuse me - 60% on top of menu price?! Yes, we all need to pay the bills, but my family is not coming back there. As a side note: very tiny seating spots, one can barely squeeze themselves in - and if youre bigger, forget about it. Food is ok, nothing special. PS: the numbers on the side are the numbers for food items (8 is a milkshake), not prices!
The food is awesome, a new hidden gem in New west downtow, we are so full, definitely coming back.
This would be the second time I ordered here. Just below mediocre. They tend to over-use the microwave. The price is standard for vietnamese restaurants like this, although this one is sub par. The first time I ordered chicken and pork, slightly chewy due to the microwave. The second time I ordered grilled pork, but I got pan cooked pork patties.
Dined in. Food was okay, but service was terrible. Even tho it wasnt busy, the server never back to our table to check in. Also, kinda stared....
Clean place, friendly staff. The food was good I tried lemongrass chicken vermicelli. Fresh and tasty. Parking: Free parking
This place is soo good! A hidden gem. I had the rare beef noodle soup and the broth was probably the best pho broth I ve had - so flavourful, really perfect. My spouse had the shrimp pad thai and it was also delicious. We started with shrimp salad rolls and they were awesome too. Just found this place down the road from my house and I ll definitely be going regularly! Staff is lovely.
Absolutely delicious Lemongrass chicken and spring rolls with vermicelli, served very hot and fresh.
Pretty good and quick!
great place for Pho at lunch
Pho wasnt great, spring rolls not good and for the first time in history I didnt enjoy Vietnamese coffee. Service was friendly
Extremely fast service, essentially received my order one minute after ordering. The rare steak was fantastic and the broth was good. The tendon is not fully rendered and was disappointing. But if you order brisket/steak it s a 4/5
Speedy service for take out everything was ready in a few minutes of waiting.
The food is incredible(Pad thai, Pho, lemongrass combos, can t miss!), the staff is very friendly and can t beat the price. My favorite Pho spot!
We ordered the food here today for dinner by delivery. we are terribly disappointed that there was piece of plastic from bag of bean sprouts for the pho as as soon as we see it we lost our appetite so we decide to just eat other food instead. but then as my husband was eating the other food( beef vemicelli) there was a Kind of pebble piece inside too. Omg.. again. Their kitchen must have been not organized or cleaned/sorted well enough When they prep the food. His teeth almost was broken by the pebble piece. I was passing by the restaurant other day i thought it looked nice to try but i made my choice wrong
Not bad at all for a small Vietnamese restaurant
Above average compared to surrounding options
Great simple Vietnamese food. The pho was super fresh and flavourful. Its a must try!!
Quick, delicious and consistent. Will definitely be returning.
My friend and I went here tonight for a quick dinner. We shared the Thai stir fry cashew rice vegetarian. Which was plenty for both of us as we couldnt finish the vegetarian spring rolls. It was delicious! The stir fry was very good. We will definitely be coming back.
Good
The beef stew is my familys favorite and vietnamese subs are always a quick, easy and tasty option. The staff speaks limited english but they always put a great effort in serving you in the best way possible.
Fantastic
The salad rolls here are great, definitely some of the better ones in the city. Unfortunately I cant say the same for the pho. The broth was underseasoned and the noodles were overcooked and soft. Meat and veg were good though!
