Wide choice of pizzas, generally good. We ordered 3 portions from the cook. We had to repeat it, he didnt make too much effort to understand us and asked us several times to change our choice because there was no stock even though the pizzas requested were in front of us. After paying we got 2 shares. We had to ask twice to get the 3rd share. The cook wanted us to pay her. The boss then confirmed that we had paid for 3 shares. The 3rd part cooked, fortunately we were attentive, because the cook did not warn us. Very bad experience!

The pizza has gone downhill here, so I wouldn t recommend stopping in for a slice, but it s cleaner than it used to be and they still have a wide array of options

This place is so great! I love the hot food options where it s fresh and made and the service is amazing as well. I love the pasta, chicken options and lasagna, beef stew rice, such great options and delicious!

They tell you to come to NYC for the food and you re wondering where to go. come here. They got bagels, pizza and everything I been. I ve been coming to NY often but this place did it for me. No matter what you order is Amazing.

Fantastic place for a bunch of quick bites if youre in the area and dont want overpriced garbage from the restaurants around times square. Ive had the lamb gyro platter, chicken gyro wrap, and chicken caesar wrap and they were all freshly made, yummy, and affordable.

They made my chopped cheese to perfection....I remember I went to get a chopped cheese at a spot in Brooklyn but didnt give any instruction on how I wanted it and it was tastless.....I told them exactly how I wanted it and I have to say this was one of the best hot chopped cheeses I had in a longgggg time....salute to yalll anytime Im in this area this will be my go to spot

Small shop with amazing pizza. We had the cheese pizza for 2 nights in a row. Whole family loved it and the price is good too ($5 for two slices with a can of soda).

Two slices of cheese pizza and a coke for $5 is awesome but you need to try the hot deli. We came back after eating lunch of pizza, to have chopped steak sandwich and fries. Totally worth it.

I ordered a peanut butter and Jelly sandwhich 2 and specifically asked for white bread multiple times to double check. He said yes he has and when i got to my job it was not white bread. They both lied to my face in person. Bad customer service have no shame to be straight forward. I wouldve ordered something else it wasnt a big deal just be honest with the customer. I always go to them every morning

If you are serving Halal meat, post your signs and/or certificates. Below average food.

They never update their Uber eats listings. Are often out of things or just not ready to accept orders. But because they don t update their Uber Eats customers can make orders and then just keep waiting. Finally when the driver arrives to pick up the order they force the driver to cancel. Terrible customer service. Experiences this multiple times

I noticed that the line was out the door on Saturday morning. So I went back in the evening to check it out and had a very tasty chicken burger (to go.). Note that this is a deli, so dont expect anything else. Edit: on my 2nd visit, I discovered that their online menu does not match their in-store options and what I had anticipated was not available. Their counter staff was not very helpful in this regard, English being their much weaker language. The food I wound up with was good, but not what I had in mind.

Terrible tasting sausage on their breakfast sandwich, they forgot ketchup on it too, took an hour to get my food when im not far from the place Im just pregnant and wasnt feeling well to walk there, and I was told they left it in the lobby with front desk but no one called to let me know it was delivered when they had my number to call me. Never ordering here again.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic hit NYC, the owner(s) of Z Deli started investing in the decor and rejiggering the store layout. Were many months in, and the renovations are done! Ive been coming here for at least a year, and this has been my standby for coffee emergencies (black, always!) and scoring a BLT ($5; credit accepted) with the spiciest fresh jalapenos on the block. Occasionally the deli staff will award me with so much bacon Ill feel guilty. Definitely the best ratio of bacon to non-bacon ingredients I get in a sandwich. Friendly staff. Glad to be a regular!

$1 pizza is back! But for some reason they dont advertise it. Used to have big sign out front. Then they stopped dollar slices. Now its back. But they didnt let anyone know? That confuses me. Regardless, its needed in the area. Good for a quick after theater grab. Update: ...aaaand $1 special is gone again. Its weird that they just dont make a decision and stick to it.

Food delivery never came. Kept getting the runaround from the staff, who kept saying the food would be there in 5 minutes.

I came here for the dollar slice but the cheese slice didn t have a price next to it. When I went to pay for two slices, it ended up being $4 and some change. I enjoyed the slice with the crispy bottom and great sauce and cheese but didn t know it was going to be more than a dollar.

Z Deli makes famously good tasting and questionably nutritious pizza! But what you really want to ask for is chicken quesadilla!! Usually I order it around midnight and it is always very refreshing at the end of the day. They have seating area to consume your food at too. Should definitely visit to taste that quesadilla!

This was my favorite $1 pizza slice but is now $2 (I dont know when this happened). I used to come here all the time just for a couple slices of pizza. I think it is still a good $2 slice. What used to be worth 10 blocks to go eat is maybe now only worth 5 blocks detour.

Highly recommended! We had Z-Deli deliver breakfast sandwiches and bagels to our hotel for our high school orchestra group of 30 which was visiting NYC for a competition. They also delivered sandwiches and a fruit salad platter for lunch on our competition day. We all appreciated the violin made of a half pineapple which was the center piece of the fruit salad. It was all delicious and the service was AWESOME! So great to work with this small business via phone, text and email. If you are bringing a group to NYC and need some special service for meals around what you are planning, use Z-Deli!!! Great service!

Outstanding quality food. A gem thats easy to miss. Now that Ive found it, its on my list of go to places to eat forever! Staff are very friendly to tourists and treat you like family.

We tried the gyro and handmade pizza. It was delicious! The following morning we went back for a quick breakfast. My family loves breakfast and Z Deli did not disappoint. We had pancakes, omelet, toast, ham sandwich, home fries, bacon, and the meals came with free coffee. The kids dont drink coffee su they have them hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was PERFECT!!

Called in to buy sandwiches for lunch. $29 for 3 cokes, two Soho, and one Park Lane subs which are typical meat and cheese with salad type sandwiches. The sandwiches were nice although a little bland. Recommended for a quick bite just a block away from Times Square. There is also a small seating area and ATMs.

My family of four visited NYC in March and then again over Thanksgiving with my parents. Both times we ate at Z deli every morning for breakfast, and it was outstanding! Don t pay the tourist prices down the street...stand in line where the regular locals are. My families favorites are Lox bagel, and bacon and egg sandwiches and bagels. Outstanding service!!

Best cheap eat location at Times Square.

Their pizza isnt worth more than a dollar and its insulting when they have surge pricing for holidays or emergency situations, even for people who work in the neighborhood. This could be a selling point for some people, but they do not serve pork, so its not necessarily the ideal place for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich.

Poor service. I stopped going there a while ago b/c they kept changing the prices. I returned there recently. After a few weeks, they started that price changing bizness again. So annoying. Today was my last day there. I had to return a breakfast sandwich b.c it was incorrect. Instead of trying to correct it or apologizing, the cashier started making jokes with the cook and threw the order at him. All a big joke. I dont spend $ where folks act stupid and dont value me as a customer. Also, dont get the steak & cheese; it was disgusting. Cheeseburger was quite bad, too. The only good thing about this place is that they have a good variety of canned sodas. Anyway, Im done; wont be returning there.

We spent 2 days in New York . Z Deli was across the street from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. We got a slice of chocolate cheese cake and a cannoli. The cheese cake was fantastic as was the cannoli. The woman who waited on us was very friendly as were all the New Yorkers we encountered. Great Deli Great trip to New York

By far this is the most complete deli around. They have fruits, salads, hot dishes, breakfast, big selection of beverages and much more! Expect to pay Manhattan / Tourist prices for most of the stuff there, except for the PIZZA.. The there is really worth the price, $0.99 the slice or $8 for a BIG pie... Avoid go there during lunch or rush hours because they get very busy there...
