Times Square Diner & Grill in New York

When I came in, I was expecting moderate customer service and food, but was met with the exact opposite. The service was exceptional, the food was fantastic, and overall the experience was very enjoyable. Somebody came to take my order very quickly and had a pleasant attitude. After ordering, I only waited five minutes for my meal to arrive. Staff often checked in and asked if there was anything I needed. This diner was above average, and I would recommend to anybody in the area. Kid-friendliness: Extremely kid friendly, has a wide variety of options for all kinds of people.

Next to Times Square, a place with all the essence of an American bar, a good amount of food and a reasonable price. The employees are very nice and close. Recommended!

Ive never bothered to write a review on anywhere before no matter how good it was. This place however is the first exception. The service here was the best I have ever had truly. I couldnt believe how fast and efficient they were. Place was extremely busy yet only a 10 minute wait for a party of 4. Need a refil? Dont worry you dont even have to ask theyll be on it right away. The food also was incredible. Very cozy feeling for sure. I have been left very impressed.

whoa...this place is something out of Taxi Driver in what looks like any NYC hole in the wall...yeah, yeah, yeah diner. Step inside and you get the vibe...were doin Diner vibe with a step up...its 12 years old and doin it right. All the diner classics but some with a twist and some wringers tuna tartar, avocado toast, et al. All of which in a magical diner setting hidden behind a British racing green facade almost hiding its magical diner setting. Classic BLT on white bread...served fresh with lots of bacon. Their french onion soup is made fresh daily. Top shelf friendly welcoming service at very reasonable prices...and youre in New York Citys Hells Kitchen!

Everything is good here! They also give you a lot of fries if you want some. They also have very good service and the food comes so fast. I would recommend

Some friends and I were visiting NYC for a weekend and we were famished. Got directed here and I was greatly impressed by both the menu and prices. The Spanish burrito with house fries set me for the rest of the day! Highly recommend.

The food was AMAZING! The portions were perfect for my little family and I. The music and lights were a highlight for my 6 year old. We will definitely be back the next time we re in NYC for a visit!

Best service, atmosphere, and food in Hell s Kitchen. The server I had today was literally the most hospitable server I ve had in NYC in years. His knowledge of the menu and the portions served was absolutely brilliant. There was a bit of confusion between the sizes of Mac and Cheese, and he was able to gauge how much food I d be able to eat. Normal servers these days really don t care about the customer these days, it s great to see that there s some that still do. On top of that, the food was absolutely stellar. Will absolutely come again because of this experience.

I ate the fish taco but it was tasteless. Pretty good burger sandwich. Portions are presented well. Nice environment

Customer service was great, it wasnt busy at all. Food was brought out in under 10 minutes & the lemonade was amazing. However, there was a piece of hair in my pancakes & the food wasnt the best, it was okay. I probably wouldnt return for anything other than the lemonade.

What a perfect place for breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the pancakes were enormous. With top ups on our tea and coffee we were more than happy to tip generously when receiving our check. Can highly recommend this diner if you are in the area. Clean and comfy seating areas and great atmosphere.

Came here by a referral from a local. Breakfast was excellent. I had the Spicy Sausage Benedict and my wife had the Spicy Sausage Italian Omelette. We both loved our food and highly recommend coming here. Service was perfect as well. I would definitely come back again.

Stopped in here when looking for a quick salad and sandwich with my boyfriend and it was amazing. A huge fresh delicious salad had the chicken appetizers and their homemade sauces. Clean relaxing atmosphere and the best service we had in nyc. Definitely recommend

Excellent customer service, nice seating, food came fast and was excellent. I ordered the California omelette w/ home fries. Also a small cup of salsa roja. The omelette ingredients were extremely fresh. Everything came together beautifully. The home fries were seasoned and fried perfectly. Came with toast but I didn t need it. Salsa roja is SPICY. It complimented my omelette. No wait time. Definitely would return.

Went in early morning for breakfast (7 am). Its really nice to listen and see good singers that are also really nice waiters. I had a real good time and it was a good experience in NYC. But be prepared to have tasteles food because its just industrial and frozen meals, at least in the morning).

I had breakfast at the Times Square diner during my stay in New York. I chose them for their reviews online. The atmosphere was ok, the staff were friendly but as I was one of the only people in the restaurant at first everyone seemed to be standing around staring at me as I came alone. Unfortunately I wasn t very happy with the food at all. The menu wasn t very big and so I chose simple pancakes and syrup and a hot chocolate.It wasn t very nice at all, the top pancake covered the two burnt bottom ones and they were extremely dry. I maybe ate half of the top pancake (and that s being generous) and then paid my bill. I wouldn t eat there again.

This place gets packed! But their restroom was clean, the wait wasnt long for a table, and service was good. I liked the food, nothing crazy, but good.

We ate here for the second time during our trip. It has been excellent both times. Fast service and attentive service compliment the delicious food. We had omelets, huevos rancheros, and a bagel and lox plate during our visits.

Eggs Benedict and side of Corned Beef Hash! Classic! Friendly staff and quick service. Great ambience and clean. Really great to have found this place.

Its a cozy restaurant, very nice inside, clean. The food that we were served was lackluster. Ordered the eggs Benedict - the egg was barely poached, white were still totally runny. But then the Canadian bacon was grilled until it was tough and dry. And the hollandaise... There was very little if it and it tasted like vinegar. I also ordered a latte, which was regular drip coffee poured into frothed milk. The home fries were just mushy and under seasoned. Best thing in my plate was the cup of fruit unfortunately. Wouldnt recommend getting the eggs Benedict, at least. The service was quick and friendly though, maybe eggs Benedict just isnt their dish.

Excellent breakfast, superb service! We were quickly seated in a by Emily, a very gracious cashier who made us feel quite at home. Humberto and a gentleman whos name I did not get were very attentive. Service was fast and our breakfast was delicious. We plan to return before leaving Midtown. Dietary restrictions: We needed sugar free syrup, they had it!

Lovely food. Two small issues. We don t drink coffee so a little annoying to be asked for a top up every two minutes. Tables a little cramped even for two adults and a child. Staff very pleasant. I would recommend it.

This place is a gem! We stumbled upon it and had the best omelettes we have ever tasted. This place is a gem and if your not paying attention you could totally miss it. If this place was back in DC, it would have a line for brunch. We were so surprised to find it and not have a wait to be seated. I would have brunch here every weekend if I could.

Went there to fuel up with breakfast before exploring the city. Can t say enough good about this place! The food was amazing! The service was impeccable! This place is run down and outdated. Atmosphere is nothing memorable at all and the main point is that the food was awful. Serving portion is huge but defeated by the taste. Bland, and just basic. A meh rating wouldnt cut it. Coffee is was weird tasting. Server was ok.

What a place to eat! The portions are fantastic! Had the chicken and rice and saved half the plate so I could have more later! One of the best ruebens my husband has ever had. Cheeseburgers were nice and juicy and mac n cheese was homemade and I wish I could duplicate it. Def worth a stop. Service was fast and workers were friendly!

It was our first time at a diner. This one in particular has an atmosphere reminiscent of the 70s. Extremely kind and attentive staff. The portions, from chips to sandwiches and burgers, are generous. Even if it costs a lot, try the dessert with apples, cinnamon and ice cream (still a large portion). Recommended, a stones throw from Time Square. On the second evening, a person who was with me at dinner fell ill, and the diner staff promptly arranged to call a taxi to return to the hotel. Absolutely kind and HUMAN. Thank you.

Typical American breakfast tastes very good, lots of carbohydrates with potatoes and toast. Water is free. Pay for coffee once and you get refills and water all the time I can only recommend good service

Hello my loves Today we had breakfast at Time Square Diner and Grill Frankly, I do not recommend it at all. The place is small and has very many tables that are close together, which does not make you feel comfortable. In addition to the small space between the chair and the table, which makes you want to finish eating and leave quickly. I served 3 Time Square breakfasts. To be honest, the food is plentiful, but the flavor is not at the highest level. I dont recommend it at all

I looked up this restaurant before going to New York. After reading the reviews i thought Id give it a try. We went for dinner. Got seated almost immediately. The menu was varied but I struggled a bit as most things were served with cheese on. The portions were massive. I ordered the pan-seared chicken with rice. Looked lovely, smelled lovely but after a few bites from the chicken there was a lot of gristle and sinewy bits. Which put me off so I only ate a very small amount. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs which were OK but not fantastic. Needless to say we did not go back.

We came for breakfast on 4/27/24. I have a gluten allergy. I ordered scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon (it also comes with toast, but I obviously told them bc of gluten to hold the bread) I also got the seasonal fruit which was blueberries and strawberries. Everything was delicious! The best part was I didn t get glutened. My daughter got the pancakes and a hot chocolate and said they were very good. The pancakes were HUGE! (I didn t get a picture of them). My aunt got an omelet and she said it was very good as well. There was a line and we waited maybe 5 mins. The waiter was very friendly and once we ordered the food came out really fast. Highly recommend!! Dietary restrictions: Gluten Allergy

We gave that place because of the stars it has and the truth is that the food was most disgusting. I ordered an omelet with potatoes, the potatoes looked like mashed potatoes!! The tasteless and burnt omelet, plus you dont eat anything comfortable, why are they only putting pressure on you at your table to make you hurry up to finish so you can pass more customers? What a horrible place! The manager, a lady who looks like Eva, is very vulgar. Terrible service!!!!

I simply Googled breakfast places close to our hotel and came across this gem. The hostess was very prompt greeting us. Our waiter, Leo was awesome. He made great suggestions and brought our food out quickly. Another server was passing our table and asked if he could take plates away. Everyone was attentive and the food was excellent. Went before seeing Wicked and was shocked how speedy service was considering it is right around the corner from the theater. We were seated immediately. Our waiter was so courteous and attentive. The food was delicious. We had the chicken fingers appetizer and meatballs and spaghetti and the gyro platter for the meal. Both come with a starter salad. All the portions were HUGE and everything was delicious. Would definitely return next time I head to the theater. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly dishes. Not too loud and chaotic.

Discovered yet another gem of a diner in NY, and its safe to say its quickly become one of my favorites. The Apple Caramel Crumb Tart and toast were beyond words, simply legit and delicious. Its one of those places that keeps pulling you back in, making you fall in love with it a little more each visit. But the real surprise was the Egg Cream, served up in a delightful vanilla flavor. Contrary to what I initially thought it might taste like (somewhere close to eggnog?), it was wonderfully creamy with a light, velvety, and slightly fizzy texture. The vanilla was hearty and present, making the drink resemble a toned-down milkshake. Absolutely loved it and its apparently a must-try NY diner classic. The service was attentive, adding to the overall great experience. Although a bit more explanation about the Egg Cream would have been appreciated (it seemed so normal here that our server was a bit stuck on how to describe it), it was a minor hiccup in an otherwise fantastic dining experience. Definitely a spot worth checking out for anyone looking to enjoy some true diner delights in New York. We got right in at 5pm on a Wednesday with no wait. Service was fast and food was good. Very large portions! Servers were very friendly. Kid-friendliness: They dont have a kids menu and my picky children were unsure at first but did end up finding something they liked.

I went there because of the high reviews, but surprisingly the restaurant was empty and I was able to enjoy my meal in a relaxed manner. The staff seemed kind of cold until I placed my order, but once I placed my order, my attitude completely changed. He spoke to me in a very cheerful manner. The salad was very fresh, and the steak had very little fat, making it very easy to eat.
