unfortunate experience: new, untrained staff - related at first, tolerated sub-par service by, what seemed to be. a poorly trained new waiter named, i believe, Chance. the shortcomings were tolerated until the point of my being reprimanded/ talked down to, via a snappy reminder that, quote: a customer needs to PAY , after my having left a payment in cash, inclusive of a, now much regretted, 25%+ tip As stated earlier, service by this fellow was poor. Tip was meant as an encouragement for someone, clearly, very inexperienced. that was before experiencing that someone as being also very condescending and crude. after 15 + years of frequenting Le Monde, i believe, i will pass next time, preferring not to risk another chance encounter for anyone wishing not to be verbally abused nor offended, i would recommend the same, until Le Monde and the staffing bounces back - whenever that may be

Hands down my favorite holiday hang out!

The atmosphere was perfect, cozy, and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcome from the moment we walked in. However, the wait for our food was a different story. Despite the excellent service in terms of hospitality, it took an unusually long time for the duck meat to arrive. I understand that quality takes time, but the extended delay left us a bit frustrated.

Great experience dining here! Luis and Jonny the service took care of us from the very moment we sat down. The food was delicious. My friend and I had such a wonderful time enjoying the ambiance and the attentive service. The wine selection was impressive, and the recommendations perfectly complemented our meal. We loved the escargots tuna tartare steak , both of which were cooked to perfection. Johny ensured that our evening was memorable with his warm hospitality, great personality, and expert knowledge of the menu. Well definitely be returning. Thank you!

I hate to leave a bad review, but I feel compelled to warn others. I made a dinner reservation two weeks in advance for a birthday celebration. When we arrived on time, we were given a table near the door. I asked if we could switch, but the restaurant was busy since it was a Saturday night. Please understand my frustration. I made the reservation two weeks earlier and traveled from Long Island to celebrate my niece s birthday near her campus on the Upper West Side. It was a cold night, and sitting near the door meant we had to keep our coats on throughout the meal. The service was very disappointing. I ve dined at this restaurant before and enjoyed the food, but I m furious that a dinner for three, which cost me $200, plus a $35 parking in the area, was so poorly handled even though I had reserved the table well in advance. To update my review- This restaurant manager emailed me and accused me being angry because I didn t get a table FAR away from the door. It s easy to blame the customers. But as a repeated customer who know the restaurant well, I was placed in the ONlY table that is at the door where any customer would refuse to sit, too cold in the winter because it s near the door and also too cold in the summer because it s right below their AC vent. Accusing me charging only $150 in his email and suddenly realized I do check my bill. This says so much about the management skills. Nothing to do with a too busy weekend. Just incompetence. That table should never be saved for a reservation, period.

I have been coming to Le Monde for many years. It was my fathers favorite restaurant before he passed away last year. The food and service have always been impeccable--I would even say they have improved over the years. I am so grateful for all the lovely memories I have with my father at Le Monde. I plan to come back to Le Monde as often as I can.

We had a fabulous birthday dinner with my sister and wife. The food and service was friendly and excellent, including a few extras that topped it off. My wife and I also went there for our Anniversary dinner. Again excellent.

Classic New York atmosphere, food, vibe, staff, with friendly service that is hospitable universally. A neighborhood place, a tourist place, an international place. Never ever disappoints.

We strolled in on a recommendation and we whole heartedly loved everything we consumed. From the grilled octopus to the creme brûlée you would not be disappointed. Our server was truly amazing. Definitely won t be our last visit.

Upon entering, you are greeted by a sweet host whose very accommodating to your needs. Our server, Kyle, was knowledgeable of all menu items and was directed us to the best options on the menu. For appetizers, we ordered Tuna Tarte which was delicious. Such a perfect blend of all condiments. We also ordered the Burrata Tart which was a surprise. The bottom bread was soft and flaky but not too soft that it would break apart. It was toasted to perfection. The burrata was delicious. My favorite app so far. For entree, my hubby had steak frites and I had duo of duck. Both plates were amazing! Steak was cooked medium rare and my duck was cooked to medium as well. Both dishes were juicy, flavorful, and overall great! If this is your first time coming here, as was ours, you will not be disappointed with the place. Bon Appetit!

This is my favorite brunch spot in New York. Ive come here with friends and on solo dates with myself - both are just wonderful. The staff are lovely and the food is consistently delicious (I dont know what they put in that hollandaise but good lord). Theres something very charming about the French bistro atmosphere, which they manage to nail even in the outdoor section. I highly recommend this spot and look forward to coming back for many years

Our waiter was really nice because we came here for blueberry pancakes, not knowing Brunch only served on weekends. Our waiter was still able to get us the blueberry pancakes, which was very kind.
