1280 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10027, United States
Modern Asian-fusion restaurant offering sushi, stir-fries, noodle soups & sake, plus lunch specials.
I love Nikko! I first discovered it while I was attending Columbia and lived a few blocks away. Now that I’ve graduated and moved to another neighborhood, I still visit Nikko any time I’m back by Columbia! The sushi is absolutely delicious and so fresh. The service is always so friendly and they are always quick to fill up your water or take plates away. Plus, you can’t beat the lunch special. I don’t drink but they have an exciting drink menu and I can imagine it gets fun here at night. I’ve taken so many people here and everyone finds something to enjoy.
The chef was friendly. The food and service were good. The hibachi space could be a little more spacious. My back was turned to another hibachi station and I felt the heat on my back/neck when the chef was working.
I went here for hibachi on a Wednesday afternoon for my birthday. We had the whole hibachi table to ourselves and got probably the best portion of fried rice I ever got at a hibachi place. It was excellent!!!
Food was delicious and you really get your money's worth. Recommend their lunch bento boxes: entre, rice, California rolls, soup AND salad at a reasonable price. Will be coming back.
My wife and I were looking for something to eat and fond this place and was very pleased we did. I had the General Tso Shrimp (pictured), and my wife had the asparagus with Shrimp. Both were delicious, and we left full. The service was great, and they brought our food quickly. The only issue I have is that I did not know about it sooner. We would definitely be back when in the area.
Amazing ambiance, tasty food and drinks. Staff members are so kind and so talented. Can’t wait to dine again!!!
The food is great. Prices are reasonable. You can eat hibachi or Chinese food. They entertain you as they serve..
Great service, good prices for NYC, awesome ambiance. We sat at a table rather than hibachi. The food was very good but a little uninspiring and a bit on the salty side (even for asian food). The vegetables were super fresh and cooked perfectly. We will definitely return and try some other dishes or hibachi next time. I would have given 4.5 stars if I could but can't justify 5 stars. Would definitely recommend to friends to try this place out!
I love this spot. I have been going here for years with different groups of friends and family.
Fantastic experience.
Kid-friendliness: Yes kids are invited Food
Everything was a downgrade. We were rushed to order. Massive portions of rice and noodles, but baby sized portions of chicken steak etc.sonly ONE of the servers were kind and courteous.
Great Hibachi experience. Lots of laughs and joyful moments. Cocktails tasty. Food is good too but overpriced. Family of 7. Kid-friendliness: Great family Seating, fun for all ages,
The service is amazing. The chef had a great sense of humor and was extremely talented, he even made balloon animals .
Always pleasant and quick.
##GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE
Great place to have a hibachi get together and best to plan ahead to ensure your table is ready (and yes, you can order items from the hibachi menu without th bsnoke show as well). This is an Asian Fusion spot consisting of Japanese z Chinese, and Thai. The only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 is because the ramen was just ok. But their Japanese fried rice is excellent.
One of my favorite neighborhood eateries for Happy Hour, Brunch and Lunch. The staff is great.
Hibachi was delicious. Great portions size. Frozen drinks were good.
Great filet mignon hibachi for pick up & sushi lunch special
Great food for the price
Their bento box lunch is complete garbage - consisted of a few iceberg lettuce pieces spread in the biggest part of a box + blob of dry rice in another + 4 tasteless rolls and the most awful Pad Thai chicken without any chicken meat inside. I found two little pieces of tofu (?) besides scramble egg in my noodles and no meat. It looked like someones leftovers. I complained and asked them to show any meat in the dish. They apologized, said that their chief probably forgot and offered to cook and bring it. I thought theyll bring the newly cooked dish. In few minutes they brought a little bowl with tiny, almost pea sized cut meat soaked heavily in vinegar and put it on top of my noodles. Absolutely disgusting. I felt like vomiting. If I didnt eat lettuce and rolls, I would refuse to pay for that junk. My worse restaurant experience ever.
I love the ginger dressing very flavorful I normally don t even eat all the salad. I enjoyed everything but the sauce they provided on the side. With amazing seasoned food you didn t even need it 9/10
This is the sushi place I enjoy now and other food delicacies. I do enjoy most of the food but there was one dish that was on the still mostly good side, Beef Penang curry. I didnt like the fried tofu at all but maybe its not my personal taste. Im not sure?
So amazing! The food was great! The staff were friendly and super attentive. Best time ever.
Following the recommendation of my buddy who said this is his favorite restaurant to dine at in Harlem I took my wife & 2 children here last night. We sat at Hibachi table with a group of 4 young people around your 25- 32 years old. As we walked in a large party of females were walking out with smiles on their faces as though they hD a great experience. The staff seemed to do everything as typically done. To our disappointment & the party we sat with none of us were blown away by their food or service. We were even moreso bothered & taken back that their audacity to charge diners an 18% Gratuity on the bill as neither the experience or value of dining there warrants that & heres why. The non alcoholic frozen drinks I ordered (Strawberry & Piña Colada) for the wife & our youngest son were insanely sweet & my Miami Vice had all the liquor in the bottom as though it wasnt mixed at all. The cook had no unique showmanship but did a modest attempt at being delightful. The sushi was just okay, 2 out of 5 stars, dumplings were a bit overcooked (2 out of 5) steak was deliciously prepared as were vegetables but he used a bit too much butter for my liking on the rice which was not much better than your local chineese food joint in NYC. To top it off we had to ask for extra napkins, no knives set on table & no small plate to put soy sauce was given when I ordered sushi. SMFH! Next time you want Hibachi, I suggest you go to Benihanas which is much better than this Nikkos b.s. as it doesnt offer no ambience whatsoever. We definitely wont be back here & are appalled Harlemnites have kept this spot in our hood all these years as itsa disserviceto fine Hibachi for the value. Red Rooster remains my favorite dining spot in Harlem for now. Kid-friendliness: They try & make it exciting for kids.
The Manager at this place sucks. I got seated at one table then asked to move to another after telling him my daughter had just parked and on her way in. There was a lady and her daughter sitting next to us that had to move because the ceiling was leaking on them and after being moved found a fly in her food, she took pictures and also showed the staff and left. My husband noticed old burnt rice on our grill. The cook took extremely long to come and do our food so we just finished our drinks and left. I think they need another visit from The Health Department. They also are very impatient with how slow you are in finishing your food. Theyre always rushing you by bringing you to go boxes before youre done.
I love the sushi Wheelchair accessibility: Yes theres a wheelchair accessibility Food : 5/5 |
Loved it coming back
Perfect setting, Excellent Service and Fabulous Food..
Love this place so much!! Everything was so good!!
Not bad I wld return
The food was delicious, the drink specials perfect and the staff were attentive and kind. We had a great meal. Dietary restrictions: They were able to provide gluten free options including tamari in place of soy sauce.
Great for a group or date
Recently celebrated my daughters 21st birthday here with family and friends. The food was delicious as always and the service was amazing.
Its great sushi and Chinese food
Love the show
My son introduced me to this place and I love it! We were able to get a seat at the hibachi grill quickly. Of course, the food is cooked right in front of you and tasted wonderful as it it was seasoned well and paired with my glass of wine. Food
The atmosphere was pleasant
Great atmosphere, very entertaining and great food, portions are huge per person!
Everything is great
I took my mom for lunch there and it was a great experience, she loved it as much as I did. As soon as we walked were greeted by the bartender and the waiter got us a table right away. The drinks were GREAT, I had the berry mojito or something like that. And the food exceeded my expectations; everything we ordered tasted great.
This is home
Love it
I loved this place. Their drink and food are perfect. The bar attendant Gustaba is the best.
Super fun, local hibachi experience. We didn t have a reservation but only had to wait 15 minutes on a Saturday night. Good service. I left my credit card there and they happily returned it the next day.
My family and I visited this restaurant while visiting in New York! The service when we walked in was very pushy. The manager was very pushy We was like we a black family with money and here for a great dining experience. But after he calmed down we ordered. The drinks were spectacular I got a passion fruit margarita (top tier). My husband got a mango it was still pretty good. The food was okayyy. We got the hibachi I also got sushi and my husband got crab Rangoon (it was Only like 3 for 8 bucks. Buttt Heyy. The kids loved the cook he even did a balloon performance (never seen that before) but he was nice.
Great place terrific menu!
Place is pretty nice but wayyyyyyy better hibachi out there and they charged me for water without my knowledge
This is hands down the best hibachi I have ever been to, probably the best in New York! The cocktails are amazing and the cooks are great for real! Love the fried rice, with shrimp
Its my New Place to be So friendly and Nice.
This food is subpar lacking seasoning and just not enjoyable. The ambiance is nice, though.
Ive gone here a few times now and have not been disappointed. Grilled eel dish was fantastic and the sushi is great quality.
Great place great food
This spot used to be my go-to for takeout. Unfortunately in the past year the quality of food has gone downhill... A place not getting my order right then having the nerve to be so exacting when it comes to charging for additional items like dumpling sauce?!? How about we focus on the quality of main dishes like getting pineapples in the pineapple fried rice I ordered... Or when you do give me the correct order.. making sure those pineapples dont look and taste like they were collected from every customers leftover plate throughout the day. Ive never had a fried rice that only included eggs, rice and tomato!?! Huh get it together.. Better yet Ill pass smh... The one thing they do get right is the shrimp dumplings charging 9 bucks for six dumplings.. another reason its better to just cook at home smh....
First hibachi and I loved it!!
An impressive menu. The sushi was good; the staff was quietly efficient. We sat in the back half of the restaurant and it was way too hot - I think all the heat for the building was coming out of 6 vents above 3 booths. The building was very beautiful when it was new. Now showing signs of disrepair and it looks like they can t afford to fix it right. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free soy sauce is available.
Nice experience, good food.
Sooo good better than benihana
When visiting this place off and on for years since they initially open sometime ago.. atmosphere is nice and food is consistently good.. what else could you ask for.
I love Nikko. Service is always great. Food is great. Drinks are good and they now how Happy Hour Daily.
Good lunch special available everyday of the week. It s reasonably priced and a good amount of food for the value. I also think the dinner is priced appropriately. The restaurant also serves tea upon request and it s great on a cold winter day so you can warm up. I like getting the sushi roll lunch special, chicken and garlic lunch special, salmon teriyaki lunch special and the general Tsos chicken. All have been delicious and the lunch specials are great because it comes with soup and salad
First time there, on date night, it wont be the last.
Absolutely disgusting. I m pretty sure the white sauce it s just mayonnaise, do not waste your money here.
Yo! Food, service, drinks all top tier. Shout out to our server, Julian.
I loved it food is delicious
The manager was extremely rude, and racist to me. I have never been treated so poorly
Nice place. The food was fresh and tasty. The chef made it fun too! Happy hour drinks are delicious as well. I would definitely go back.
Great place great people love it
Everything was great
I loved it! Big portions. Sexy atmosphere! Nice staff.
The bartender is magnificent
Always GREAT food sushi , rolls , or hibachi! Great drinks as well!!
If you re looking for a hibachi restaurant where the chefs do tricks with the food you probably shouldn t go here because they didn t really do that. Instead, chefs squirt sake into the mouths of customers from a bottle and toss food at them to see who can catch it in their mouth. I didnt find anything wrong with this and the customers seemed to enjoy it. But, keep in mind that this is a Japanese restaurant, not a hibachi restaurant. Other than that, the chef and most of the staff were friendly and the food was good. The reason why Im giving the restaurant three stars is because of some other things that happened while I was there. One of the chefs was Hispanic which pleasantly surprised me. I noticed that one of the Asian staff members was constantly watching the Hispanic chef while he worked. This man had such an obvious disdain for him that it made me uncomfortable. He would glare at him and whisper to another staff member (I m going to assume about him) who seemed less interested in what he had to say. He never looked at the other chef who was working (who happened to be Asian) just at the Hispanic one. Maybe he had some personal beef with the man, but it went on for quite some time and was so blatant that it was shocking. There was also another Asian man there whose role and function was not clear, but seemed to be managing the staff. A Hispanic boy was working there (he looked very young, like a teenager). The man in charge started yelling at him and then he called him stupid before the boy disappeared into another part of the restaurant. The whole exchange happened right in front of me. I didn t say anything because I didn t want to make more trouble for the boy. I don t know what his situation is and he may really need that job. But, to be verbally abusive and to do it in front of customers, I have no words. For those who would accuse me of being nosey I say, I usually don t notice anything going on around me while I m eating. Also, this all happened right next to my table, not feet from me. Not going back, I don t like seeing people mistreated in the workplace like that. Kid-friendliness: Instead of sake, the chefs have a baby bottle (full of god knows what) of juice that they will squirt into a kids mouth. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is street level and I didnt see any stairs, but I dont know how easy it is to navigate the restrooms.
Great hibachi
My girlfriends and I went there forvtge 1st time of birthdays The Chef ,Server s we re very friendly and attentive . The manager was very rude , didn t understand the order we placed ,we ask for 3 spring roll , he came out with 3 order 18 rolls we said we ask for 3 roll not 3 orders he said we ll take them home , we said no, he had the only attitude afterwards,,, RUDE! Other then that very nice atmosphere
Spacious place with cute decorations. Food was tasty, served moderately fast.
Service was excelent and beyond welcoming. They have fresh food and good varieties.
Its not always fresh.
Amazing food. My favorite spot in NYC
Love it here, food always on point
The food is too salty.
Great food, great chef, great show, great drinks. Yeah Im not feeling creative but 5 starts definitely going back for my birthday
Friendly staff. If you want to do hibachi reservation ahead of time is recommended. Portion size of food is enough to take home.
This spot gives extraordinary service and delicious meals. One of my favourite restaurants around town. The food is served rapidly and the rates were reasonable. The staff is amazing and the drinks are great. Highly recommended. 10 out of 10
Henny colada
The hibachi experience was wonderful and quite entertaining. You must order 2 entrees in order to get the hibachi started. We ordered the sirloin steak and the shrimp entrees with a lobster tail on the side. The yum yum sauce was tasty.
We had a beautiful Mothers day dinner...So delicious Hibachi grill is the BEST. THAT RICE IS ADDICTING
My family and I went today for a birthday dinner. The good things were we were seated quickly and the portions were very large!! With that being said the food didn t actually taste that great and it definitely was not worth the price. There are no kids meals/menus. I ordered a frozen margarita that came out half way frozen. I asked the waiter to take it back and off my check and he acted like he didn t hear me. I asked another waitress if she could take it back and that I didn t want another drink or remade. She stated no and they couldn t take it off. I asked for a manager. He came and stated that I had to pay for it regardless. The drink was still full (I may have taken 2 sips out of it) and even spilled it taking it away. The whole experience wasn t worth the $200 we spent.
Tonights place good atmosphere a little overpriced if you ask me
So yummy and quickly. For Manhattan it s nice place for lunch. Lunch set only $13. Recommended dishes Salmon Avocado Roll & Eel Avocado Roll, Miso Soup, Pad Thai
It was great in there the food is very good
. . .
First Ive been here several times bringing out of towners usually fun and delish but this time no fun no chef tricks my grandson here from Texas was so disappointed. Gratuity is for the whole package not just some food thrown at us.
Amazing experience
Graduation party
Great atmosphere enjoyed dinner with my family
Decent fast takeout for lunch or dinner. Vegetarian options: Standard vegetarian offerings. Food : 3/5 |
One Of My Favorite Restaurants For Years Vegetarian options: Vegan and Seafood Options Available Kid-friendliness: They even have baby Sake bottles for the kids
Food was delicious
Went to Nikko restaurant with my family twice. The service was excellent. The food sushi, General Tsos Chicken, Schezuan Beef, soup, deserts, drinks were excellent as well. I love the ambiance, the lighting was perfect. Only thing is that people at the bar and hibachi area can get loud and annoying but have some warm sake and you will fit right in. I really like this place since Hunan Balcony and our other favorite restaurant China Fun closed, this is definitely my familys new favorite restaurant. This is an Update: July 9th 2023*** My family and I have ordered Nikko for delivery through UberEats several times but today my family member ordered two different dinners soups and salads including an appetizer crab Shumai. Food seemed a bit unorganized and shuffled in the bag but bag was stapled as usual, everything was spilled and leaking that was unusual generally when when we received an order every thing is organized and no soups leaking. Upon eating two bites of the shrimp and broccoli and General Tsos and crab Shumai. I immediately threw up, this food was completely rotten and had a chemically taste. I cannot believe we ate some of this rotten food, everything had to be thrown out immediately after consuming a bit of the food we all became ill from the chemically taste and realized the putrid smells fumigating from the bag it was delivered in this is definitely a food safety issue and I hope the food inspectors will investigate thier kitchen and cooks Unfortunately we will not be ordering again. I hope this restaurant will realize just how fast they can lose great customers by not checking the quality of the food they send out to their loyal customers. Im very disappointed in this place as we have been ordering here for a while now. But fortunately for us there are many other great Chinese/Thai restaurants who have better quality control and will not deliver rotten/chemically tasting food to their customers.
Wonderful afternoon at Nikkos Staff was wonderful. Food delicious Bathroom very clean. Had a Long Island Ice Tea nicely made. Food
Love it here
Overall good
Everything was great, enjoyed celebrating Shas birthday
Worst curry I have ever had and that includes some I made in grad school from a jar using a microwave. - 40% giant pieces of onions - random other stuff that was not supposed to in there, like roasted potatoes and fried tofu - barely any of the ingredients that the menu said you are getting. Three pieces of eggplant and a few leaves of tasteless basil. -The actual curry sauce? Consistency of a soup. Basically, take a quarter of a jar of leftover curry sauce, rinse it out with equal amount of water. There you have it. I would have sent my food back except this was the evening when I was saying goodbye to my son who is just starting college. And at least his sesame chicken looked decent. Service: it started out good with a smiling waitress bringing us iced water. Then I asked for water without ice instead (really cold things don t agree with me), and that was the end of the smiles. The place is supposed to be open until 10:00. But already at 9:20 people kept coming by to see if we were ready to get out. I was holding chopsticks in my hand when one of them asked if he should take my plate. Too bad because the place looked so nice. The look (interesting interior, nice custom printed napkins, pretty tableware) is why I am not giving one star but two.
This was a super awesome place to eat from. Food was super delicious and i will definitely come back here again. It was worth it
Perfect mid-week treat. The food is delicious and the service is attentive. But the ambience makes make it special.
Good lunch deal, really liked the sashimi as they were thick slices! However I think the miso was a little greasy. Loved the dragon roll too amazing combination. Not bad for affordable-ish sushi!
All the dishes were totally on point, and I appreciate their not oversalting and of course not using MSG. The waiters were delightfully attentive. The fried vegetable gyoza were outstanding. And, surprise of surprises, I was astonished to see that the mens restroom was spacious, well appointed, and quite clean.
Food is good here. Sushi is fresh and love love the mango roll. the udon noodles are good as well. Good drinks. The hibachi is decent too. Nice private tables.
It is great place for hibachi but please make sure your server knows of allergies so they can cook the food separately and if you want sauce or no sauce on your food. While it is good I feel like they go heavy on the teriyaki sauce next time I would definitely ask for light sauce on all my food. Overall great place and would definitely go again. Dietary restrictions: I spoke of my meat allergy and they made sure to cook any meat last on the grill.
Good happy hour prices. Yummy sushi
The waiter was very rude with us, throwing the plates in the table and talking in a bad way to us. The food is lack of flavor and honestly, there sooo many better places that this one, is just not worthy
Went to Nikko after a haircut for a quick drink - I was immediately tended to by Ivette who was attentive to me the entire time. Later, I had a nice talk with Julian at the bar about NYC and Jersey. The staff are extremely friendly and I stayed a lot longer than I had planned because of the great conversation. 10/10 experience; whether you re looking for a quick drink or a sit down meal with your family, I highly recommend Nikko. The decor inside is spacious and beautiful and the happy hour prices don t hurt either. Definitely a new regular place after a haircut or if I m in the area.
*vegetarian review* The veggie Japanese fried rice was seasoned so tasty! I didnt enjoy the mushrooms in the rice as much but thats such a small thing. I also ordered the vegetable tempura with a side of eel sauce ($1 extra for that sauce, it came with a sauce but it was thin and I love how eel sauce tastes). It was very good and crisp but not super crunchy. The waiter was very welcoming and attentive. I will be coming back.
I LOVE this restaurant, every time I go its a great time. The food is Amazing, the price is very affordable and the atmosphere is laid back
Absolutely disgusting. We ordered delivery from this restaurant could not have more than a bite. The hibachi rice was stale and dry, the green curry was yellow. The miso soup was the only thing that was almost edible and only because the broth had no flavor. Worst experience I have ever had with uber eats and with fusion food in the city.
Definitely the best Asian Fusion in Harlem and probably New York City. If your coming here for the first time I recommend the Chicken Dumplings, the Shrimp Lo Main, and the Bento Box which your choice of protein. The hibachi fried rice is also delicious, the whole place is very clean, the staff are very friendly, and the food comes rapidly. If you are visiting New York come to Harlem and try Nikko Hibachi Asian Fusion! Vegetarian options: There are a whole bunch of vegetarian options but it depends on what your in the mood for or what you want to order. Kid-friendliness: The staff are very kind to kids and kids would enjoy the atmosphere and food here.
The food is wonderful and plenty. Reasonably priced and worth it.
Food is trash too saucy
Great fun place for groups
First time visiting this establishment and I must say that everything was delicious and the service was great!
Vegetarian options: The food is really good and the vegan selection is big. There is a mango sushi roll to die for !! Food
Loved it went for my daughter birthday they gave her a light up spin candle and i loved it free of charge food was great nice place for casual date
This place is amazing. The food was great and chef made sure we had an amazing experience.
My favorite spot
The food and drinks are delectable. The service is nice.
Not nice staffs, little food for money
Great place to eat wish they had more options for the hibachi but what they do have already is good the steak is to die for the chef was a great person they do charge Gratituity for hibachi only but just coming in to eat and eat at a non hibachi table they dont its a good place check it out
Food was great. My review would have been higher but the Manager was not nice after I spoke to him about the gratuity on the bill. I already tipped the chef and an 18% gratuity was suggested not mandatory. He then showed me the small fine print on the menu. I thought that was not ok. But other than that the food and chef was good. Ill continue to patronize the location in Queens. Also they do not have a kids menu like the one in Queens. So I paid for an adult meal for my kid.
Dont order pick up from here. They left me in the rain for 15 minutes waiting for my food which was sitting on the side the entire time. There werent any menus in the area where you place a pick up order and the woman gave me attitude for not knowing exactly what I wanted. Food is ok, but the service is horrible.
A perfect place to have a dinner as a couple or to have a birthday party, they offer hibachi drinks HAPPY HOURS 12-6 pm Special lunch 12-3:30
The waiter was excellent and very entertaining. The next tiime I visit NY, Id love to go back to Nikkos!
My experience at this establishment was not bad, and the staff was nice for the most part. I was happy with the noodles, and somewhat happy with my filet. While a bit flavorful, I felt it lacked seasoning. There were a few fatty parts which is surprising for a filet, but it was definitely good enough to finish up. The sauces that the chef gave us along with our dishes helped bring my filet to life. My only concern was the portion size. I feel they could have tossed some more noodles in my dish because I was still quite hungry after finishing my food. Also, I asked for no veggies and was wondering if they could add more noodles or anything else (obviously not the Filet) to make up for it. Nope, the waiter told me no veggies means no veggies, and that I do not get extras of other food if I choose this. While I get it, noodles and rice are cheap to make; you think you could have given me something? These little things go a long way because the idea of eating is also not to be hungry anymore. The substitution probably could have helped with that, but that is their rules and it is what it is. The hibachi chef we had was quite nice as well, so I would overall say this was a decent experience. I would go back if they upped the portion on the cheaper sides like rice and noodles.
Phenomenal, fresh sushi and other eats! I always leave satisfied.
The Mexican Bartender was amazing & very polite the owner or manager in Blue shirt was a bit aggressive and rude. Not normal probably had a bad day sadly.. The gentleman preforming our experience was boring and dry first time we experience this in our many visits.. Vegetarian options: Amazing Vegetables options Kid-friendliness: Great experience for kids Wheelchair accessibility: First floor plenty of space for a wheelchair
The Food Is Amazing!
Great rice and portions. I would advise having 1 meat instead of the combo. The meat was cooked well but unfortunately was drenched in the sauce. Lastly as soon as the cooking was done we were being rushed and monitored closely in regards to the bill. Although it was a good local Hibachi experience because of the rush after I may just go next door for a meal.
rice was extremely hard , steak for 11$ not even cooked when i asked for well done ... strimp wasnt cooked it was mushy
I can t comment on the food because I didn t even get to dinner. My friend and I decided to try this place last night. It was her first time at Hibachi and my first time at this particular restaurant. From the time we walked in the entire experience was poor. We were rushed about our seating choice and the general attitude of the staff was snide and not at all friendly. We asked for two minutes to look over the menu since I had gone to the restroom when we were first seated and the chef was inpatient and rude. It wasn t even poor customer service, it was non existent. It was clear that this restaurant didn t care to have our business, so I politely paid for the soup and salad that they placed when we sat down and left. On my way out, I told the waiter of our poor experience and he offered some remarks inaudibly and never looked us in the face once or apologized. We ended up having dinner at another restaurant that offered much better customer service and great food.I will not allow any establishment where I am spending my hard earned money to treat me poorly and I will not be returning to Nikko. This business can certainly use some customer service training.
Need to work on service more. But the good always hit ok
Asked for the bathroom and they let me use it without asking me to buy anything. I only had 15 minutes, so I got the lunch special with two sushi rolls and a salad. It was delicious, and I was out of there in 13 minutes. Good service.
Order naba yaki odon for take out and it was the worst noodles I have ever had. It was not naba yaki odon! I asked for the noodles on the side but when I came home it was put together. Mostly noodles with simple ramen broth. The noodles were thick as worms and the broth was bland, the fish cakes hard, crab meat fake, and vegetable over cooked. Perhaps they are good at sushi but stay away from the noodles. I threw out 90% of it. Couldn t even stand the broth.
