Theres nothing like Koronet its a staple in the neighborhood. My siblings use to bring me a slice and wgen I was able to travel on my own it became my afterschool and weekend spot. Its nostalgic going in each time. The only thing changed is the various toppings that can pile up. As you get older you appreciate more authentic taste in a sauce and type of cheese. You know the difference of quality. With that said its nice to look at and challenging yourself to the big slice is fun. In actuality the taste lost its pizzaz and its really doughy the extras just weigh it down and you can barely get through the chews. Tiring and expensive. Sometimes less is better. Service is great and on point pizzas always coming out fresh. Calzones are great also. The lines move along nicely. Try the new versions of pizza for yourself or stick to the classics. They changed the pepperoni

Its right on Broadway so the energy and atmosphere is automatic. The fact that they have a large indoor and outdoor seating arrangement is great. You can enjoy your super sized pizza on the spot without feeling elbow to elbow with other patrons. The pizza sauce is great. Large amounts of cheese as well. Didnt love the sagginess though. At the end of the slice wasnt necessary sure that the cheese was real either.

its decent. it wont blow your mind. what i like is that they have a pizza loaded with a variety of veggies that doesnt feel horribly unhealthy. im a utility eater possibly over taste, even though that might sound insane on a review. so yes i came for the food groups: grains, dairy, veggies. any meal that has at least 3 food groups is good to me. im glad for that. it feels a little pricey at around $6 for a slice of that veggie pizza but its not the end of the world. any meal with a lot of vegetables close to $5 is good.

The pizzas here are GINORMOUS!!! And very well priced for the size. I will definitely be coming back here for more pizza in the future.

Been going here since freshman year of college. Now I bring my college age kids who cant believe how big the slices are. Its not as good as I remember (perhaps because i had the munchies in 1985) but its still a massive slice that needs two hands and a fold to eat.

Coronet Pizza has been in 110 street and Broadway for as long as I can remember. The staff is friendly. The pizza is great. And you will never find a slice bigger than what they serve at Koronet Pizza Food

A pizza restaurant that is always crowded with people! When you order, it is immediately put into the oven and cooked. Grandma s pizza was the best!

It helps in the evening if you want to eat something quickly. Fair prices, a lot of choice and pleasant service.

Its a pizza shop so you cant expect fine dining atmosphere; though wiped down tables would have been better. The pizza however was yummy, especially the classic margherita. The jumbo slices are ENORMOUS. They boast the largest pizza in NYC and I believe that it must be true! Price point was fair for a giant slice in the city. $6.00 for jumbos. In the midst of Columbia U campus property so very conveniently located as well. Definitely a thumbs up to Koronet!

CUSTOMER SERVICE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!! I was born and raised in the neighborhood. I have lived out of NY for the last 20 years. When I am in town, I try to visit this pizza shop for the jumbo slices. I didnt realize they made regular size pizzas as well, since its been a few years since I been there. Also, I didnt notice the prices and descriptions on the side wall until after I got the pizza. I was looking for that information above and I didnt see it. Nevertheless, I ordered my pepperoni slice, thinking it was a jumbo slice. After it came out, I was thinking it was small. I walked out in front of the store and decided to go back in to see if they would upgrade me to a jumbo pepperoni (paying the difference, of course) since thats what I thought I was getting. The Asian woman at the register, who appeared to be the boss, told me that once I paid, I couldnt change it. Even though I tried to explain what happened, she refused to do the exchange. Whatever happened to good customer service?? What happened to the customer is always right??? I guess those days are long gone. Therefore, I rated according to my customer service experience! And as a result, I will no longer go back again!!

Great place for a slice near Columbia. We were on a college visit and stopped by in late afternoon. Their jumbo slice is damn large, pretty much a small pizza by itself! Middle of the crust was excellent on our sausage/mushroom, but a little limp on our peperoni/mushroom (not sure why). Margherita was solid too. Overall, definitely a good place for a slice.

I visit this place once in a blue and it never fails the service is horrible doesn t matter if it s a man or woman behind the counter. The treat the non color people horrible and that is something that s not pleasant at all. Yesterday I visited this restaurant to grab a slice of pizza for my kid and the gentleman that was behind the counter taking the payment was rude to a young black lady and her daughter and was rude to another customer who order a big order for her and her sons. This place need to treat everyone with respect and dignity because we are all humans at the end of the day.

Finally got a chance to get to this place with the giant slices. Overall the pizza is good, not the best, but not bad by any means. The slices are huge and 1 slice will fill you up. Good ratios of sauce to cheese and a good crust. Check em out at least once. Giant slice with sausage and bottle of soda was 11 bucks.

This is one of the biggest slices I ever had. One slice is definitely good for 1 person (almost $8 slice). Their spinach and broccoli slice, and margarita slice is great. We were 3 of us and able to share 2 slices. Definitely worth visiting again.

Solid nyc slice at a no frills joint. Place has been in business for over 40 years and does the standard nyc slices right. You can even get them jumbo sized. Carry drinks by the can or fountain drinks. Fast service. Good price point. Seating indoors or out. Vegetarian options: Lots of options for veggie slices. Kid-friendliness: Kids here we having a blast w the jumbo slices.

Tasty jumbo slice of pizza

Paid $9.32 for a single Hawaiian slice and it was mid. That s completely ridiculous. You can still get an entire pizza for $8 at some dollar slice places in the city, and it s similar quality to here, which is to say pretty mediocre.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. The slices as well as being huge are exceptional. You would think that because the slices are huge that that would take away from the quality of the ingredients and the taste. That is simply not the case. One large slice is like eating three regular slices. The guy behind the counter told me that one slice was the equivalent of two regular slices but I think its more like three. Anyway a large slice and a soda are like ten bucks and you really cant beat that for lunch in Manhattan. You leave full and not broke. The food is excellent and the service is always quick and friendly. Those people all deserve a raise. This is a real first class operation. I have absolutely no problem giving them my business. I encourage all others to do the same.

Pizza Never Disappoints

I had pizza there one time. And she wasnt there when I got it. Spanish guys was working and she was avoiding black people like the plague. And Noone was in front of me other than another person of color.

Its one of my family traditions to take the children to get the delicious jumbo pizza slice. my father took my brothers sister and I when we were kids and I do the same..

The place is not touristy, and thats why I wanted to visit it! There are two sizes of pizza piece...regular (normal) and Jumbo (giant!). I got a margherita and it was very tasty. The dough is very thin and crunchy. I thought it was great value for money and I will definitely go back there! The atmosphere is super simple, without any refinement, but that doesnt leave anything to be desired. The place is crowded at lunch time...locals always eat there.

My experiences at this place have been quite a mix. When dining in, the pizza always delivers on taste, but unfortunately, when it comes to delivery, it consistently arrives cold. Its not an ideal situation and can be quite frustrating. Another unusual aspect is the requirement to provide my order information both in one place and then again during checkout. This redundancy feels unnecessary and adds unnecessary complexity to the ordering process. Regrettably, the cleanliness of the store leaves much to be desired, as it often has issues with bugs crawling around, which is a significant drawback. Furthermore, the customer service experience has room for improvement. Some of the staff appear unfriendly and not very attentive to customer preferences. In general, both the system and the service could benefit from some enhancements.

It s a small pizza shop but nothing beats a jumbo sliced pizza. We tried pepperoni and chicken Alfredo. They were both really good. I liked the thin crust as well. This was my after school stop when I was in college. The flavor has been consistent over the years.

Their main gimmick is the big pizza slices. The price is a bit high for a large slice at $6 as its basically the size of 2 normal slices. As for the flavor, its not better than a normal slice but its not bad either. I feel youd get a lot more bang for your buck if you go to the dollar slice places all around the city. Nice gimmick but at 6 bucks a slice, it doesnt really seem worth it Parking: If you drive there, go late at night because theres almost no parking near the place during the day
