3161 Broadway, New York, NY 10027, United States
Bringing good eats and great service to our neighbors in Morningside Heights, the Upper West Side, and Harlem. Delicious pizza, burgers, pasta, and more!
The pizza 🍕 is way expensive especially for a damn slice and it's not even that good The crust was hard and the pizza itself was cold and tasteless . This area shouldn't have expensive pizza considering this is the hood ! .
This pizza is one of the best you can try in NY. Especially the margarita. Cool people and nice folklore latin music always in the background. If you need only a slice, keep in mind; minimum $10 charge for electronic transactions.
Trufa Pizzeria Layout/atmosphere *Five tables, TV; cake display below pizza display Food/drink *Regular slice - Good; flop but some crisp on crust; sauce not sweet *Red velvet cake - Good; moist (don’t think it’s made in-house)
I recommend! The pizza has a nice crispy, the dough is perfect! The sauce was amazing. The right amount of grease (if you’re from NYC you know that makes a good pizza) it was freshly made. The Garlic knots was super soft and so good.
The dough and toppings are (almost) always so fresh! Unlike many pizzerias, Trufa puts a very generous amount of veggies on their veggie pizzas. The eggplant slice they do is addictive.
Trufa Pizzeria is a great spot to grab a slice of pizza in NYC. The garlic knots are definitely a standout, with a fluffy and soft texture that melts in your mouth. They are definitely worth trying, especially if you're a fan of garlic. The pizza itself is a good standard NYC pizza, which means it's pretty darn good. The crust is thin and crispy, while the toppings are tasty and flavorful. While it may not be the most unique or inventive pizza in the city, it definitely hits the spot when you're craving a classic slice.
It's a good NY pizza by the slice place. We ate here while waiting for Grant's Tomb to open. Slices are kind of pricey but also very big. Recommended.
Went in to try the cheese slice and it was $2.50. Couldn't pay with credit card. I think you need to spend $7 before you can use credit. The slice isn't even that big to cost so much. I know $1 pizza the tastes better. Not worth the price at all. Didn't have any flavor to me. I had to add seasonings. It's edible if it was the only option but I wouldn't return. Besides the service sucks. I got a burnt pizza and when I mentioned it, nothing was done to give me a better slice of discount. Just attitude and no apology. They shouldn't even be serving burnt pizza at all.
Horrible delivery service. Small slices. Constantly gets orders wrong and makes you wait an hour for it. Then an another hour to get it right. Ill be ordering from 314 Pizzeria from now on.
Good solid slice and pie joint. Good guys and decent pizza.
I ordered from Uber and it was great!
Nice and crispy crust, very tasty
Best pizza around
Mediocre pizza, way too expensive, and slow service. Go somewhere else, this place is a rip off. $3.75 for a plain slice, $4.25 for pepperoni, over $5 for a lot of other slices? Ridiculous. High minimum to use a credit card too. It was $10 last time I popped in, and they raise it periodically.
I was in town for about 2 weeks and went here almost every day. Best PIZZA and other Italian food in NY. THE CAKES ARE TO DIE FOR!
Neighborhood go-to for pizza by the slice or pizza by the pie. A little pricier compared to the dollar-tree pizzeria, but this joint is worth the extra dollar or two. Try the garlic knots theyre Hella good , so are the desserts!
Good but slow. Nice people
This is my go-to pizza spot in this part of the city. The food is always great, and the service is friendly and prompt. Deliveries never take very long at all.
Pizza is pretty good!! $10 card minimum
I would have enjoyed trying their pizza, but was told at checkout cash only . What planet are they on (besides scam the boss and scam the IRS)?
The pizza was excellent...but I didnt like the Bufalo wing order at all...I wont order it again sorry...
Very good pizza, little expensive but taste awesome!
THE MEXICAN MUSIC IS SICKENING; I WONT COME BACK HERE . EASY LISTENING WOULD BE APPROPRIATE, HORRIBLE
The best pizza I have had in NYC. Boss is also very friendly and bring a smile to my face. I will miss this place after I leave NYC.
Its a huge meal Favorite foods
The only issue we have is which pizza to get! There are so many delicious fresh options! We had the veggie pizza with sausage this evening, it was outstanding
Good pizza
Pizza was not good and you have to spend 10 dollars in order to use your debit card what a waste
Easy take out dinner of pizza and pasta dishes from Trufa. I like the pepperoni and margherita pizza
One of the great places on earth
No plain slices available at lunch time. Who do they think they are?!
Our favorite pizza spot in the area, every type of pizza weve tried has been SO good with thin crust and the perfect cheese/sauce ratio. My personal favorites are the regular cheese and vodka sauce slices.
Love the margherita pizza
The workers are nice. The pizzas were better than average. The place is pretty clean and modern.
Now reopened and worth a visit. A slice joint, but a cut above others
A cut above the typical NY slice. Good variety and generous toppings. Their vodka sauce is AMAZING! Staff is friendly and service is quick. They have an amazing selection of deserts too! Orders under $10 incur a fee when paying with plastic.
Food is very good pizza slices are delicious buffalo wings are on the money customer service is is nice and very friendly order from this place all the time no complaints
Yeah so I have been to this place a couple of times... Used to be good, but now the pizza is worse and I just paid nearly 12 dollars for two slices of what I thought is a mageritha but turned out to have some undefined fried stuff baked in it (and unsurprisingly tasted terrible). Not coming back,
I rather travel to Kornet for a slice of pizza, I was charged $4.66 with debit. I do like the people there just for a slice not for me. A minimum of $10 is just too much. You have to buy a pie there at least if youre paying with card.
Rude staff, subpar pizza, and expensive. Not worth going unless you re in the specific area and really want pizza. Probably just order dominoes.
Really overpriced in 2022 - normal slices, but very expensive.
They didn t deliver what I paid for. And the pizza box came without tape. How can I trust this wasnt tampered with? Low quality restaurant. Will never order from them again.
Horrible!!! I ordered 2 cheese slices and instead of canceling the order because they didn t have any available they sent me some horrible deep dish!!! It was disgusting and im never ordering from there again!!! This has happened multiple times!!!!!!
As a native New Yorker, I don t know what all the complaining in other reviews is about. I had a regular slice and it was great. Thin, crisp crust that didn t sag with a nice tart sauce and perfectly good cheese. Service was super friendly, if just slightly slow. Yes, at $3.75 it was a little more than I expected, but has anyone heard about inflation? And the slice was very good sized. About those reviews upset about the minimum credit card, grow up and get some cash.
Delicious and reliable! A crispy crust with just enough dough.
I got a meatballs hero for $15.24 and it only had 2 meatballs cut in half not good who does that not good at all
The pizza was good, but the man that was taking my order had a attitude that was unprofessional
Their pizza is good. Vodka is my fav. Recently tried their chicken parm hero and it was disappointing. Hardly had any sauce. The bread and cutlet were over cooked. Lacking in flavor too.
XL Ultimate Veggie pie was quite tasty. Fast, friendly service. Happy to see a new spot open in the neighborhood!
Great to finally have a pizzeria back on the block! Got two XL pies the other day and they were both fantastic! Staff is super friendly as well!
This Pizza Shop is Awesome Great Service Delicious Pizza So far the Magarita is my favorite. The pizza stay crunchy Stop reading go grab a Slice from La Trufa Pizzeria ( You Welcome)
I live right across the street, I ordered online and it took them over 2 hours to get to me (Edit they called back to apologize and they offered me a pizza for their mistakes, such kind people)
Casual diner
New pizzeria which replaced Toms. The workers are friendly and the offerings are varied from pizza to pasta. Ive had two of their pasta dishes, the Chicken Alfredo and their Spaghetti with Olive Oil and Chicken respectively. I havent tried their pizza offerings yet and plan on trying it soon. Their customer service is excellent, and they went as far as calling me back with a substitution dish.
Good pizza at a good price. Glad its so local.
I was so sad when Tom s left, but I was delighted to discover that this pizzeria was pretty darn good! I had pepperoni and Hawaiian pizza. Both were delicious and not overly greasy. In addition, staff was very friendly. This neighborhood pizzeria definitely has my stamp of approval!
Not a good choice!
Great food, great service. I come here very often! Always leave happy and satisfied.
The meatball hero was horrible and the staff was unfriendly.. Not going there anymore..
Came here to pick up an order I called in. After waiting on the line, I spoke to one of the workers and he confirmed the order was being prepared. Cool! Waited for perhaps 15 mins, and after seeing people walk in and out with made on-the-spot orders, I asked if mines was almost ready? The worker I spoke with laughed and said Oh, thats going to be a while. I ordered 1 chicken bacon ranch slice and heres the kicker, there was already a pie on display with it. That was not appreciated and I cant support a business that doesnt value ALL of their customers.
Unless youre completely hammered late at night and getting something to eat is a matter of survival, do not go here. The pizza is terrible. Maybe the worst Ive had. Tried their pepperoni, chicken with vodka sauce, and a Mediterranean slice. All three bad for various reasons. 2 stars because the people working there are very nice and the vibe is chill.
I FOUND GLASS IN MY FOOD!!! I have NEVER visited this pizzeria before as it was suggested by my dear friend of mine who lives in the area. As a first timer, I was COMPLETELY TURNED OFF! And EXTREMELY UPSET. I ordered a slice with black olives and waited a good 10minutes to receive the pizza for myself and another slice for my friend. They did not accept Apple Pay unless you spent $10 or more. I would have NEVER expected this from a restaurant that seemed cleaned and was graded an A by the department of health. The guys that were present tonight barely had a reaction when I brought it back for a full refund and barely gave a sincere apology. I would HIGHLY suggest to NEVER eat from this pizzeria! I would NEVER eat from here again and will not be RECOMMENDING it to anyone. THIS PLACE DESERVES TO BE SHUT DOWN! You are responsible for public and what you feed them and should be EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS of what you are doing in the kitchen. #neveragain
The food was great. The delivery guy was respectful and a nice guy. The food was hot upon delivery.
Fantastic
Best pizza place ever!!!
I can t wait til this place opens again. My absolute favorite pizza in the area. The delivery guys are super fast, friendly, professional, and respectful. Please open soon!
This place is closed for good
##GREAT PIZZA
Not very customer service like at all. I asked for one slice and he puts it in a bag fold it up and charges me, does not ask me if thats all?, if I would like a drink?, I take the pizza slice out the bag because I wanted to put garlic powder on it. I look at the slice and I say let me get another one please this might not fill me up, and please put this one back in the oven. He takes the slice puts it in a box disregard my directions and the second slice I asked for throws it in the box sauce and cheese all over. Not buying from there again. Maybe I have to be white or a student of Columbia University. Idk
Really delicious pizza! And great prices! But not the best local nor service. They speak Spanish and some English.
Good Pizza. Staff can be a little more friendlier to the customers.
Honestly, after months of late night dollar slices, you CANNOT go wrong with their regular cheese slice. It s an AUTHENTIC ny slice. No frills. Crust is pretty close to perfect, cheese and grease are *kisses fingers*. On the money. You ll get your moneys worth.
Fantastic!
Really need to add some taste to the sauce, nd more Cheese...
The workers are rudeAF and the pizza here tastes watered down! Dont spend your money here!
They were ok, they are very slow people in what they do. The food was kinda cold. They thought I didn t know Spanish, so they talked behind my back. The tables are dirty, they don t clean after you finish eating. I gave it a 2 because it was edible.
Pretty good
Not worth it
Overpriced pizza thats nothing special in taste or size.
I think this place has one of the best pizzas in town. Ive been coming here for over 10 years and they just do it right. Very cheesy, ny style pizza at its best. I usually get their balsamic vinegrette on the side to dip in for my crust. A must try.
Definitely the best pizza in the neighborhood. Simple, straightforward and good food. Prices are decent and the guys dont keep you waiting. If youre by Columbia and want pizza, you call Toms, plain and simple.
Decent slice of pizza
- the usual pizza taste - not so friendly staff
Trash the soda was warm and the pizza was cold
Good pizza
Typically good NYC pizza with no-fills seating area
Just ordered this spinach pizza from Toms! I also got garlic knots and a meatball sub with cheese. Its all so good! They also give paper plates and napkins with delivery.
Do they have a terrible staff? Yes. Do they make great pizza? For anywhere in the 20 block radius, the answer is yes! Dont rely on delivery unless you spell the order out like you were teaching toddlers, but the food quality is consistently above average, and has been for a while. Recommended.
Delicious as its name
Good for a quick slice
Great place to get pizza as well other foods. Always fresh. Definitely one of my favorite to go.
Super greasy and plain tasting. Would rather get Dominos, sorry to say.
Delicious spaghetti and meatballs !!!
Its called Toms Delicious Pizza for a reason.
Solid Pepperoni
I love Toms Delicious Pizza. It is my favorite neighborhood pizzeria and my go-to whenever I order out.
Very good, but a bit expensive for Harlem maybe because its so close to the train station
Great pizza. Try their ckn slice w/extra cheese. A1
Great place for cheap pizza
Simple and cheap, pizza was great.
Horrible. Order came late. Stale and thin pizza. Greasy. Cold. Awful. Garlic knots cold and stale as well. MozzeIla sticks semi decent. I ate here 2 years ago and pizza was excellent. Super disappointed. Hyped it up to friends and they were disappointed. Clearly my friends and their friends and so on will not eat this expensive nasty pizza. It feels like it was made with no care. Took one bite and had to throw all of it out and get Olgas on 138th street and broadway. Please stop lying and saying the food is great. There is clearly no care and this is a disservice to anyone who has to eat this garbage. Look out consumers!!!
Omg This pizza is so good
Good pizza. Excellent price.
No-nonsense NYC slice. It Is What It Is.
When in Rome do as the Romans. Get yourself some PIZZA!!! We got some here and it was delicious, fresh, and outta this world. Recommend to anyone looking for some New York style pizza. The pineapple was the best Ive ever had.
All the food sold there is very tasty, I recommend it.
The best pizza in the town, and fast delivery .
Much of the food is very bland. Id not recommend buying pizza with much vegetables. Something with extra cheese and meat can be decent. The pastas are practically flavorless; dont waste your time.
Great price, very fast delivery and delicious food!!! Highly recommended
Ordered a pepperoni pie with extra toppings, and the pizza I received didnt have any pepperoni -- and most of the cheese / other toppings were not *on* the pizza, but mostly shoved to one side of the pizza box. My replacement pizza was supposed to be delivered to me in an hour. TWO hours later... I hadnt received the pizza, and found out that the establishment was closed. Thankfully, I ordered through grubhub, and was refunded. I wont order from this place either directly, or through grubhub ever again.
My favorite delivery pizza in NYC. Theres places to sit down for pies that are great, too, but delivery pizza is its own thing and Toms is excellent. (Theyre also a great place to pick up a slice or two, which is also its own thing but more closely related to good delivery. Its a little bit about how the pizza reheats, but thats not the only thing. Some places with great takeaway slices are terrible for delivery. Toms is good for both.)
Delicious, cheap pizza. Try the chicken pizza!
Pizza is nasty ! But I guess for a ten dollar med pie thats what you get
I got food poisoning from here and the pizza is really inconsistent in the cheese and the sauce. At one point, this place had a C rating from having cockroaches and the ingredients being old. A C rating means quite frankly that they should be closed but got a second chance to turn things around.
Good slice of pizza NY style!
best pizza around
They suck with delivering in a timely fashion...this is NY, it shouldnt take 2 hrs to get a pepperoni pizza!!!
I just called this place 4 times- the first 3 I was hung up on by a woman.....I was trying to place over a $500 order for a party I have this Saturday, and since i asked for a manager or owner- the staff thought I was soliciting and hung up on me- 3 TIMES!! When I tried to call back, they didnt pick up the phone. I called again and a man picked up, asking to take my order....after i was hung up on 3 times and ignored once. what a joke I GUESS THIS PLACE DOESNT NEED THE BUSINESS.
Family oriented place with great staff and service. Been eating there for years and as a new yorker with many options for good pizza, this place tops my list! Great food, great service!
The food was very good, though it was better when they had whole wheat pizza dough. The guy at the counter was nice, though its better to order from there since the store looks dirty and is tacky, though its cleaner than famiglias
We order toms once a week. No delivery charge, very affordable and absolutely delicious.
Best Pizza spot in Harlem to me
Toms delicious pizza, not so delicious.. Pizza was tough as if it were overcooked and the pasta dish i had tasted as if i made it. No real flavor popped from the sauce. I could have saved $20bucks and dabbled in my own kitchen with Prego and some noodles.
I luv this place. I have lived in the neighborhood for several years and just discovered Toms Pizza. My favorite thing to order is a pepperoni slice. The pizza is thin crust and fresh.
