Bagel world surprised me with its warm welcome, affordable prices, plates are full and food is above my expectations delicious. I took a breakfast plate and brought food home there was so much, I usually dont do that at breakfast but was to good to leave for the garbage. The inside of the restaurant and washroom is a little dated, but would I return and recommend this place to the world, absolutely!!! I wish I had gotten the name of the young waitress that served us, she was amazing. No more big chain, to not mention any names, Bagel World is my new breakfast place. Looking forward to try more from there, lunch and take away treats.

The service was so bad Tables coming 15 mins after us were served while we waited for our order. There excuse was that they had a different server! OMG Thank you for your answer below and advice. It is not about ego, it is about justice. I came before so at least my order which is less of what they ordered should come first. I guess this is too much to ask.

Woow, the owners reply tells you to what level this business has fallen!!! I simply ordered a Veggie Omelette, and you can confirm with your waitress who spent 5min apologizing on your behalf for your rude and uncaring handling! Spend more time to keep customers happy rather than venting and lying online! Learn how to be customer-centric, what a shame!!! Im revising my review after a very unpleasant experience with the less-tgan-caring manager. I ordered a veggie omelette (without looking at the menu) and when I got it, it has Goat Cheese stuffed inside it. Called the waiter (very cooperative) who said she will replace it for me. A couple of minutes later, the manager shows up, asks how can we fix this? and blamed it on me not reading the menu! When I told her that veggie omelettes do not come by default with Goat Cheese, she did not care and asked thst I place a new order and pay for it. Well, with this response you just lost a regular client forever! Bad management

I had an amazing experience at Bagel World! As a small, Jewish-owned business, they offer delicious, fresh bagels that are miles better than anything from Tims. I tried the jalapeño cheese bagel with their feta spinach cream cheese so bread-like and flavuorful, I believe it s all freshly made. The pricing is great, and the breakfast resto looks cozy and delicious too! The staff were super sweet and helpful. I cant wait to try their challah, desserts, and more bagel varieties. Highly recommend!

Disappointing Experience at Bagel WorldI ve been a loyal customer of Bagel World, but after today, I m not sure I ll be back. My friend and I were planning to place a $50 order, but they refused to serve us because I had a Starbucks coffee with me. Apparently, they d rather lose two paying customers and a large order over a $1 cup of coffee from another shop. I understand policies, but this was just ridiculous. It is clear to me that Bagel World has enough business that allows them to reject customers walking through their doors so losing one is not a concern. I told them that they just lost two customers and the reply was thrown back, in an arrogant way and mocking: have a great day!. If this is how they treat customers, I ll take my business elsewhere. Its unfortunate that they prioritize trivial rules over customer service. +++++++++++++ There is no way to reply to the owners message, thus I am adding to my review. My pont is, it is your shop and you make the rules you want, starting with this is your decision to refuse serving some customers and this is fine too. The point I am trying to make, and it seems that it is in vain, is that rule is bad for your business by losing customers and this it seems OK with you. Coming to way I want to trying my coffee with my meal: is because I want to enjoy my meal with a coffee that you dot serve in your establishment. It was not alcohol or anything else, just a type a coffee that is not available at your restaurant. By reading your response it is clear to me that it will impossible for me to change my opinion and more you will not change your attitude about the customers.

A favorite breakfast spot! Food is delicious, especially all the homemade treats, the hot sauce, jam and marmalade. Would love to be able to buy jars of the jam, its that good! Service is always wonderful. :)

Found Bugs in My Salad and Rude Manager We ve come to this location many times, but this time was awful. I found bugs in my salad, which made me worry about the cleanliness of the food I ve had here before. When I told the manager, she was so rude and even yelled at me. We didn t end up paying our bill not because we wanted to skip out, but because the customer service was so bad. This place is a health risk, and the manager was very impolite and unprofessional.

Finally got to try this spot. Food and service were great! Everything is freshly made and they are very accommodating. Cant wait to go back. I was in attendance for the client who had a bug in her salad and purposely waited to see when she would leave a review. The customer was clearly on a mission to make a scene. The waitress and owner did their best to try and correct the situation but it wasnt enough for her. Im all for complaining when something is wrong with your meal but you also have to understand that mistakes happen from time to time. Look at her review, shes eaten there several times and never had an issue. But even when mistakes happen you have to give them a chance to correct it which they tried to do. This customer didnt give them that chance and freaked out. The owner did the right thing by addressing the entire restaurant as the scene was already being made and letting everyone know what happened. The customer shut up pretty quick after that lol. Owner then apologized to the entire restaurant. She owned her mistake, tried to fix it and thats all you can ask for.

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service!! I ordered a egg bacon cheese everything bagel with a cookie pie and they were both phenomenal! A huge shoutout to the woman who took my order who radiated positive energy and was super helpful! She told me that most things were baked in house which is a big plus. Happy to have found my new local breakfast place!

I had an amazing dining experience at bagel world thanks to my server, Jaclyn . Their service was exceptional, with a warm and friendly attitude. It was a perfect brunch place to celebrate Mother s Day. It was busy and they did only walk-ins but fairly so. The food was totally worth that wait. The Shakshouka ( eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, olive oil, peppers, garlic& spices with goat/feta cheese ) was one of the BEST I had in a long time. Their French toast and whipped cream was delicious, our son thoroughly enjoyed it. Home fries were perfectly crunchy yet soft and well seasoned. Of course their bagels were good too- we tried the pumpernickel & multigrain with sesame Service was great. Highly recommend it & we are definitely going back!

Highly displeased with the take out side. When I was directed to pay, I wasnt informed of cost and they asked me to tap without even showing me the terminal. Then when I said can I see the terminal? the staff member was upset with me and went on about refunds and receipts. So I showed the same courtesy right back and this person didnt like it and then went on an absolute tangent. I explained its not appropriate to ask for payment without presenting the terminal and not providing a total, otherwise I have no idea what Im being charged for. During this attempt to explain, they cut me off while walking away and continuing their tangent. This team member said you are treated the way you treat staff. So I explained the only reason I responded the way I did was due to this staff members attitude from the start. The whole situation was completely uncalled for. If I asked you to pay for something without providing a total and presenting the terminal, you would question it as well. This is not okay and this member should be retrained.

Came by during covid very little options as you would expect during those times. Went back in today and man was difference night and day. All the seats were taken and the place was very lively. We did take out which was very quick. Got a few bagels wirh bacon and turkey. Both bagels were delicious. Nice thick cuts of bacon on a very cheesy bagel. The other Jalapeno cheese bagel was just as good. With the dining room being almost full we didnt wait long, maybe 7 or 8min. Will be back for some dining in

Fantastic place for breakfast, and you have to try the bagels in store or for takeout (obviously). Bagels are super fresh and delicious even just eating them on their own. If I lived closer I would buy some every day

This is a great place for breakfast. The bagels are fresh made, eggs etc came out perfectly cooked and fresh. Try the cheddar/jalapeño cream cheese on your bagel. It has just the right amount of cheese flavour with some heat to it. The service is always good and the servers are all professionals and polite. This is my favorite place in Newmarket.

Best fresh breakfast by far. I cannot compare any other restaurant to this one. My husband and I go every Saturday for breakfast now that we have discovered this place. Homemade pastries, bagels, breads and loaves. Freshly squeezed orange juice is a must and homemade strawberry and marmalade. The waffles and pancakes are a must order, they are so fluffy. I order different things everytime I come and I have had no complaints. The wait for a Saturday morning is about 10-15 mins if you come later on in the morning but if you arrive around 7-8am there typically isnt a wait. The service is very fast and the staff are so friendly. You can come in and order take out as well as fresh bakery items. I tend to grab some stuff on my way out after breakfast and there is never a wait. I cant help but review this place because its my favorite.

Always a great time! Food is delicious and staff are very friendly and accommodating. If you get here during a rush you may wait up to 20 mins but its worth the wait. Dietary restrictions: There are dairy free vegan options. Health conscious options and delicious meat options too.

Best bagels in York Region!

Great spot to eat until you have a concern about your meal. I let our server know our home fries were hard and tasted burnt. She walked away without saying anything, then someone else came to tell us we were wrong, and then someone else came to let us know we would receive a $1.60 discount for our meal. All of this without a single question asked or acknowledging our concern. Each time we tried to articulate we werent trying to be difficult, the person walked away mid-sentence... that type of disrespect really sticks with you the response below is a great representation to my experience at the table too.... it says it all. not going to spell out what customer service means to restaurant owner. With so many great places to go in New Market it took me quite some time to make it over here.. my friend has always raved about this place then I had a second friend Rave about this place then my wife started going during her lunch breaks I finally had a chance to make it out this weekend and I must say one of the best breakfast you can find in Newmarket guaranteed. I also found the service very professional and even though they were in the middle of a Saturday long weekend rush the service was able to maintain.

Driving from Barrie, my wife and I sometimes stopped in for a bagel. Today we thought lets have lunch. I have to say it was one of the best lunches Ive ever had. The food was simple, tasty, hot, and nicely arranged. The service was fantastic. Theyre really nice people who made us feel right at home. Everything was fresh and home made. Id give it 6 stars if they let me. If youre on Younge Street, passing through New Market, stop and have something to eat at Bagel World. Youll be very happy you did.

I regretfully rate Bagel World with a single star, having been a faithful patron for over a year. The owner, Sarah, shattered my previous high regard for this establishment. Her behavior was exceedingly disrespectful and unprofessional, clearly showing a blatant disregard for her customers. In an episode that left me both shocked and disappointed, she forced me to leave the restaurant and eat outside, despite ample seating being available simply because the food was ordered at the take out side of the counter. This act not only revealed a lack of basic hospitality but also demonstrated an unsettling absence of concern for customer satisfaction. As a business owner, such apathy towards patrons is appalling and unacceptable. Sarahs actions have deeply damaged the reputation of Bagel World in my eyes. Until there is a significant change in management attitude and customer care, I strongly discourage anyone from supporting this establishment.

Service wasnt very frequent. Nor did anyone check on us asking how food was or we needed anything until food was practically finished. Besides the spotty service, i ordered a sandwich but received an omlete and was persuaded to comprimise with the food that was made after asking it to be remade. Then, when i sent it back requesting a second time to have my actual order made because i didnt want to eat something i didnt order/like, the owner came out with a heavy attitude, was quizative and argumentative about it my request. After a very uncomfortable and un nessecarily loud discussion, i finally got my order. This location is always overly busy, and its obvious the effect it has on experience. Will not be going back.

To be fair to the business,but as I have shared with you my concern already a restaurant manager or owner shouldn t be disrespecting their customers like what you did today with bringing the plate back to us aggressively and denying that hair in the sandwich can t be from our staff this means you accusing us that we are lying about the situation and making it up!! We didn t need a refund or something just simply wanted to share with you our concerns and you as a manager should have admitted and apologize for it..this is a normal way of responding to an honest customer we have been at your place many times so far since before Covid and we had 2 almost similar incidents that was related to your behavior and response to a customer Plz loose the attitude and listen to your customer concerns and be friendly to them to let them enjoy their times spending at your beautiful place. We understand that the kitchen work is not easy when is very busy and appreciate it but you gotta do the same and appreciate your customers Supporting you in all times. I honestly am very upset with your attitude and behavior today but I did not want to give u a low stars because I know and understand that could hurt the business!! Happy to find round Challahs available for Rosh Hashanah, and their bagels were delicious.

Not really worth coming here for the bagels. Theyre just bagel-shaped bread. They lack the dense chewy malty crust that kind would expect from a good freshly baked bagel. Might as well go to the grocery store.

I cannot express how much I love bagel world! We eat in the restaurant often and the staff is so amazing and kind. My son is special needs and they go out of their way to make him comfortable. We also use them for private events, we have had so much made by them from platters to cakes and more. Every single time they knock it out of the park, can t wait to go again soon!

Bagellinis are a must! Don t waste your time with a regular bagel or bread sandwich. Get a bagellini sandwich. They are brilliant. You get the flavour, texture, and density of a bagel but without the mega breadiness. The bread-to-filling ratio is much better with a bagellini sandwich.

Great, consistent experience every time. Very friendly people who work there and I like their selection of bagels and cream cheese. Plenty of parking. They have a small selection of additional baked goods that look good. They also have a restaurant for breakfast on the other side of their takeout section. I like that their menu is a bit different with a few different options.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The owner of this establishment is incredibly rude. This was my first time here while I was getting my car serviced next door. Right when I walked in an employee greeted me and asked what I would like to eat. She was friendly so I tipped her. I ordered a western sandwich. When I went to sit down, the owner told me I was not allowed to sit at the tables because I ordered from their takeout menus, not from their dine in menus. I told her that I didn t realize that, and that my car was being serviced so I came here so that I could sit down. She was very loud, obnoxious, and rude and told me this isn t a Tim Hortons . I never said it was. Had I known that I had to order off of the dine-in menu in order to sit down then I would have. I am a paying customer!!!! I asked to speak to the manager and she told me she is the owner. I was absolutely floored. She was acting like a bratty teenager. Yelling at me causing a scene when she has other customers in there eating. I would have understood had the restaurant been busy or if there was a lineup. This was a Tuesday morning at 10:00am. There were some people in there but I looked around and counted 9 vacant tables with 4 chairs at each. 36 available chairs. She could ve at least said that I can sit but if it gets busy and people are waiting then I had to leave. I honestly have never experienced anyone who owns an establishment be so rude. I will absolutely never ever ever ever recommend this place to anyone. Unbelievable.

Very rude staff. The manager talk down to me. I ordered one pastry and when it came time to pay up she charged me for three. When I corrected her that I said I only wanted one when I had placed the order she slammed her hand down on the cash register and looked at me with absolute hate. I loved going in there and picking up bagels and pastries but will never return and certainly won t in good conscience based on today s experience. My patronage was obviously not appreciated.

Always great take-out food. havent been for the sit down yet but they are very busy which is a good sign... I like the egg/bacon sandwich on a toasted flat bagel with onions and also order a smoked salmon on a flat bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese....love it, keep up the good work..

I ordered a Bagelini with egg/bacon/cheese but no egg on it and they wrote on the receipt no egg, but I received an egg on my bagel.

Common... Everyone knows how good the bagels are (dont they?)... Its not a secret!

Service was amazing! I am only giving it a 4 star because my bagel was super over toasted and hard. Service was great. Ambiance was cute. Despite the frames not being leveled and straight. Lol Food wasnt bad if you didnt get well done bagels

Fresh bagels of multiple varieties all day. My personal favorite is the cheese jalapeno bagel. Cooked breakfast is also excellent. Staff are very friendly and it has a cheery busy atmosphere.

I absolutely adore this place! The food is amazing, the staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and overall, I have a lovely time coming here for a nice little breakfast/brunch. Totally recommend!

Went here for brunch on a Sunday and the place was packed, but the service was quick and the staff was so friendly!! Loved the food and atmosphere. Would definitely come back!

We love to have breakfast there. We either have take out or dine in.

the bagel was decent the cream cheese was nice. I didnt appreciate the fact that the machine at the take out had a mandatory tip option that you couldnt skip. I dont think that is fair customer service.

After multiple recommendations from friends, I was excited to try their New York style bagels. I appreciated how helpful Rianna was in putting together my takeout order and providing information about their top selling items. The jalapeño and cheddar cheese bagel had a nice kick and paired with their new Texas cream cheese was absolutely delicious!

Love this place. They have GF and take good care to serve people who are celiac. Lox and cream cheese bagel is outstanding!! I go back as much as possible when I m in the area. They have an area to sit as well but it always busy so you have to go early! Their hours are also limited which is appropriate for a breakfast/lunch/bakery. A must try!

We had an awesome brunch at Bagel World. The place was quite busy on a Sunday morning, but we were seated fairly quickly. The servers were happy to offer suggestions and were attentive. Our food tasted awesome and the price was fair. Will definitely go back for more.

Want a bagel? Get it here! We stopped at this place for a quick diner style brunch before a play. The place was cozy and packed with families. The staff were able to sit us effectively and brought us coffee right away. It is certainly a well managed place. For the food, I tried their Shakshuka with home fries, a poppy bagel, and peameal bacon. All was done well, but the bagel was AMAZING! If you are just looking for a breakfast place it s good. If you are looking for a great bagel, this is it!!

Our absolutely favourite breakfast spot. We have been eating here twice a week for 5 years. They are the best of the best. My husband has compared every breakfast spot and orders the exact same meal everywhere he goes and nothing compares to BW.

The absolute best breakfast place ever!! Everything is so delicious and so reasonably priced. Always amazing service, all the waitresses are great. Bagel World has been our go-to breakfast spot for years and will continue to be!

The service is great, the ladies are beautiful and very attentive. The seating is ample with tables and booths. Parking is easily accessible from Yonge st. Dine in or take out is available. The menu has a wide selection which feature their in home baked Bagels. My friend had the Build your own omelette, cheddar with broccoli and tomatoes and I had the mushroom omelet.

Lovely service. Staff is great at communicating protocols to customers and taking information in a friendly manner that makes me feel welcome. Had a breakfast sandwich w side salad which was very tasty and the perfect size for my appetite. My partner had a big breakfast, I think it was called the farmers breakfast. A lot of food for a good price. Service was attentive and not hovering. Also got a few pieces of rugelach from the walk-in counter and enjoyed them later in the afternoon. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly, cozy breakfast place (or brunch or lunch).

This is a reflection based solely on the Bagels and comparing them to the other two locations of Bagel World. The Bagels at this location are not the same. Only one side is seeded (seasoned), the bagels are not hard on the outside and two airy on the inside and not chewy at all, and toast too fast. The Bagels are still okay, better then grocery store Bagels but pale in comparison to the other two Bagel World locations. I would say that these Bagels are closer to What A Bagel style.

This place is absolutely amazing! I have come here for breakfast and lunch 2 times and both times were excellent! If you have not tried their brownies you are seriously missing out!! They are out of this world, I don t think they could possibly be any better!

If I could give 10 stars I would. The food was great, delicious and professionally presented and served just when you feel it should, Diane was amazing, polite friendly and professional. The best Resturant breakfast I had for a long time (almost like home ).

A gem of a place for breakfast. How did I miss this place for so long, the exterior looks of this place is a serious understatement to what you can expect inside. All these days I thought it was just a bakery! Glad that I found this place. Its another brainer now on Sunday morning if we feel like having some English breakfast. The staffs were courteous and well organized.

Great begals, baking, cream cheese and food in general. Excellent service. Love this place.
