Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House Newmarket in Newmarket

This location is extremely busy and the staff are run off their feet. Not able to keep up with all their tables. We went on a Friday morning. We waited at the door for 10 minutes before being acknowledged. Overall the wait time for our food wasnt long, but we werent given any cutlery and had to go get ourselves. Pancakes and ham melt were good, homefries were undercooked. Coffee and water werent offered to be refilled until we were finished eating as the waitress didnt check in with us during our meal. The bathroom was disgusting, dirty, poo and pee stained toilet, floors were filthy and a take out box of food was sitting by the sink. Although our waitress was lovely she was clearly overwhelmed trying to attend to our entire section. They definitely need more staff at this location.

Great service and as mentioned in other reviews, the Eggs Benedict were fantastic! Waitress and manager were on point and our coffees were topped up without asking! Waitress was so polite and even commented on how we were just chatting and theres no rush!

Put some wall hangings or drapes up to break up the noise please. Just want to enjoy dinner with my wife

I recently came in and enjoyed the delicious avocado toast. Everyone s food was fantastic and came out of the kitchen very fast. I was served by Kate who was very polite and friendly making the experience that much better for us. I definitely recommend this great breakfast place!

Very busy there for a reason, the wait was only 5 minutes for the 2 of us. The food was excellent. The staff and service was great. The kitchen was efficient because we didnt wait long for omelettes and a skillet. Would definitely visit again!

Review is strictly for savoury food, not their sweets. The poutine was tiny and there was hardly any gravy or cheese. The cheese is not cheese curds. The eggs Benedict was bland, the hollandaise sauce tasteless. Everything overall was lacking flavour. We couldn t even finish our unseasoned hash-browns. And the tables around us left those behind too. You can find better food at the breakfast diner by Aurora go station, or sunset grill. Very nice staff tho

Quick service and amazing food.

So, Im sorry stacked. I have to pause my patronage for awhile. I have been a staunch supporter for 10 years now, but your service has started to suffer over my last 5 visits. We have already had a comped meal in Barrie South due to a long wait (in which we decided to leave after 20 minutes without service). We would have left this location in Newmarket as well, if my senior Mother had not been with us. Something is slipping with your chain. I hope that your expansion isnt going to make the experience suffer! I have enjoyed the exceptional service that Stacked has for a long time, but it appears that is not the case lately. Servers that dissappear for way too long has become too frustrating for me to continue being disappointed Hopefully things change for the better and I can return someday. For now I will have to find another breakfast spot. Shame Dave

I recently came in and enjoyed the delicious cinnamon pancakes, the nice and friendly waitress by the name of Kate ensured my experience was the best possible.

My girlfriend and I came in Friday morning, Nov. 22nd. Great food, excellent service. Food was delivered fast, everything was warm. Service was even better. We were served by Sandra. She made the experience worth dining in and helped us pick great entrees. Thank you Sandra!

The food taste is good! Portion size is big, we really enjoy it. Julia, the waitress, is kind and pendant of what you need. The only thing is that the food took some time to be ready, it is understandable due the place was crowded.

This is a really great place to enjoy brunch. My family has been coming here for a while and we are never disappointed with our meals. The kids menu is awesome (says my daughter) and they have lots of choices.

Food was hot and fresh, with big portions and AMAZING gluten free options!! That was the biggest plus. Staff were all kind, attentive, and hardworking.

The peameal is too soft and not crunchy and sausages were not cooked well and it was like squishy when u bite it. Bacon was really good. They dont salt their potatoes, not enough chai in the iced chai latte. Free refiles on coffee tho. Portions were huge so thats its two stars. Service was good tho,

Food is large portions and decent price, unfortunately the quality and taste are not good enough for me to want to come back. The service was great with free coffee refills and attentive staff, all orders (6) came out quick with no issues. We came Sunday morning so it was very busy, but if u put in a reservation before u get there you can get a seat. Noisy and a bit crowded but that s unavoidable for a Sunday breakfast place. I got blueberry pancakes, they weren t light and fluffy like I was hoping for and the blueberries aren t that flavourful. My boyfriend got cheese burger hash, again it was fine. Tastes like potato with cheese and burger on it, nothing special. The omelette that my one friend got was good apparently so maybe stick with eggs if u come. Ok for a quick breakfast spot, definitely won t fix your craving if you re coming here for a delicious meal.

I hate to leave bad reviews especially for a place I previously enjoyed to frequent, but I would hate anyone else to experience this. I ordered a waffle as I usually do, but today it had been overdone. After having been here several times before, this was inconsistent with what I was accustomed to so I asked for another waffle. The manager, Sandra came to our table and I was told that the place was too busy and because the waffle iron was on for a prolonged period of time, the waffles were being overcooked. They offered to make me another, but expressed that I would be charged if the next waffle came out the same way. As a customer, am I expected pay for a product that isnt consistent with the quality Im used to paying for? This is not how you deal with a customer. If your waffle iron sucks, get a new one. Dont tell customers they have to pay up for whatever theyre given regardless of the quality. Fortunately, the next one came out better. Sandra walked by and asked how it was and in my agitated state, I nodded. Then she made a snarky comment saying You didnt try the last one as if it was not obvious by the look and feel of it that it was overcooked. I didnt need to consume it. I have a respect for people in the service industry and I do my best to be polite. I didnt feel this was handled appropriately and hope there can be better training to ensure managers know how to speak to customers. Especially if the establishment is at fault.

The food here is delicious. Brought my 2yr old daughter and they accommodated dishes for her. The staff are amazing! Very attentive, check in often to ensure your coffee is topped up. Very polite and inviting. Kid-friendliness: They made sure my daughter had enough room to kick around in the high chair. Made sure she had lots of crayons and coloring pages to keep busy. Food was brought out for her right away while the adult meal takes longer to make so she could start eating. Spoke to her with kindness

After the experience we had there today. We will never be going back. We were excited to go as it would have been my second time. Sunset Grill is my choice but my boyfriend loves this place and has been a few times. After today though. He is done as am I. Sunset grill has never let us down. Nor treated us the way these people did. Will take our money else where. Zero stars

This breakfast was absolutely awful! The bacon left a pool of grease on my plate. They burnt only 1 pc of toast. And all toast was dry with a glob of cold butter in the middle. Oh and my hubby got a dirty cup! Awful food, don t waste your money!

Great food and amazing service. It was my first time trying it and will definitely return. The Vegetation Omelette was tasty and the cinnamon pancakes were very yummy. The staff are very friendly, attentive and will make sure you leave with a smile on your face.... Cant say enough about them. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because I would like to see plant based meats added to the menu. My familys dietary restriction is either halal or plant based meats and it would be nice to have those options. I understand halal options might not be feasible, however plant based would be. Dietary restrictions: Would love to see some plant based or halal meats added to the menu. Kid-friendliness: Staff were great with my son.

I had tomatoes that were not ripe and put onto my plate. The issue I had was they didnt look the least bit appetizing nor appealing, I hate wasting food, but I couldnt bring myself to eat them. My toast and bacon were not done the way I asked, they did take it back to correct it. My moms order also incorrect, plus her pancake was not fully cooked. We did address all of our issues with the wait staff, who seemed to be genuine in the beginning. Until we noticed a gesture made over by the kitchen once one of the waitresses took our plates away, to obviously tell us that they dont seem to care. I wouldnt seem to care if this was only a one off, this was now the third visit that just threw us off. This location is usually busy due to the name. Not quite sure what is going on in the kitchen, new staff, people who just dont seem to care. Either way, I came back here to change my 5 star review given to them from 3 years ago. I may try again down the road.

This was our second visit, we had Sylvia the first time as well. The food was absolutely delicious, it came quickly and hot. The service was impeccable, Sylvia was friendly and offered great suggestions. The place is clean and welcoming, the pancake lights are adorable. Will definitely be back!

Breakfast order: The Stacked Breakfast, which includes two eggs, two pieces of bacon, two sausages and home fries. Verdict: Everything tasted scrumptious except the home fries were slightly undercooked and eggs were more like sunny side up as opposed to over easy. The pancakes could have been put on a separate plate as I don t like ketchup getting on them, but wasn t a huge deal. Our server was friendly and polite, food came out within a reasonable time. Vast array of menu options to choose from - Would definitely come back! 4/5 for the win

My husband and I went to Stacked today for breakfast. We got the berry crepes and stacked hash. Everything was delicious and thank you to Avary for the great service.

After hearing a lot about this place decidrd to try. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The home fries tasted stale. The bacon and sausage werent good. The hollandaise in the eggs benny was mediocre. The basic pancake were alright. But over all not what I was expecting.

Not sure why this place has mostly positive reviews. I was really disgusted by the amount of onion in my fries. Never seen anything like that. Below than average food

Good food, slow and mediocre service, vibe is just okay, not bad but not super relaxing. Waited 10 minutes for a server after being sat, waited a long time to be offered a refill, generally it felt like my server kept disappearing and it was not that busy. Probably wont come back

Been to Stackd twice within a week because I got a BOGO coupon on the weekend to use during the week. Service is great, always coming back to see if we wanted more coffee. Food came out quick and was fresh, I didn t realize the pancakes would be so big. Definitely return to this location.

Great place for breakfast at a decent price. The servers Anna and Silvia were very friendly, always made sure coffee was full and were tentative to all the tables. Weekends are very busy but great staff that works together to ensure things are smooth.

This was our second time at Stacked and each time we have gone we have had a wonderful time! Both times we have had Silvia as our server and she has been amazing. She is great with our kids and has given excellent recommendations on what to eat on the menu. The food comes fast and the portion sizes are great for the price point. We also love that you can go online and put your name onto the wait list and are able to check how long till you will be seated.

Bang for your buck! I did not notice I was given the wrong eggs, but the Waitress promptly returned with my correct eggs anyway, no charge or complaints! The food was stellar, and I would go back again. Super busy and slightly loud with larger groups. Try to reserve ahead of time, otherwise 15 minute table wait. Parking: Plaza parking. I went for breakfast the other day with my partner. The food was good but our server was probably one of the best I have ever had. She made us laugh and felt like we had been friends since high school. Makes such a big difference when you have a great server. Most breakfast places are not memorable because it s just breakfast food but Sandra made it so fun and that s going to be our new Sunday spot !

My husband & I visited Stacked for the first time and were extremely impressed! Julia, our server, was amazing at taking care of us.
