We are from Toronto and we are visiting Newmarket for the day. Found this gem of a place and we did not regret our decision. Cathal was our server. He was attentive, prompt and flowing with positive energy. Great smile my guy. Keeping it real, we came around 2pm and the place was at 20% capacity. Either way, we were over the moon with service and the food. We got the feature chicken wings, probably the best my partner and I have ever had, no joke. Beet salad helped balance the meal and we are happy campers. We will be back for sure at some point. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Lowest, darkest of all who avoid and community-based detachment, the worst, unkindest people that make this a departure place. From no one to nothing, it all is fundamentally why I regard it as inferiority of great burden. Thank you for being so unkind to me the one day I stayed in the main foyer, and by Call to Inaction, I was unable to settle in great discomfort. Your least gracious hostility. Thank you for all the time I was unwelcomed to accept from the staff. They obstruct Call to Service to truly make for the worst unauthenticated experience. Extremely thick steak cuts, and was overcooked. Aswell as 90% of the plate being fries with a touch of cheap steak. It cost me over $30, pure scam

This was our second attempt to dine at Hungry Brew Hops. The first time we dined there we had a bizarre closure to our experience as the staff decided to start closing the restaurant (cleaning, stacking chairs, and music off) WHILE we were still dining. I understand the restaurant has hours of operation but we were not lingering / hanging around. We were still eating and it was only a few minutes passed closing time. It did not make for a very comfortable experience as we felt rushed to leave. Most recently (Sunday the 29th), we decided to try and give them another chance. We were sat on the patio with a warm jug of water and no glasses. We sat and waited for 15 minutes to be greeted by a server but it never happened. We watched tables around us (that arrived AFTER us) being tended to but we were ignored. At this point we decided to just get up leave. Customer service is a crucial aspect of the dining experience, and regrettably, this restaurant falls significantly short in that area.

Atmosphere and service was top tier. The pork nachos is a great dish for the portion size and value I would recommend that dish. The Steak Frites could have been better, the sauce was great though. Wouldnt recommend that dish.

The food was delicious!!! We had the BBQ pulled pork Nachos, carne asada fries, Brussel sprouts with Bacon, sweet Chilli cauliflower fritters, brisket grilled cheese and of course chicken fingers and french fries. The BBQ pulled pork was cooked to perfection, and the flavors of the meat was on point. The Carne Asada fries were a great twist on french fries with flavorful toppings. The sweet Chilli Cauliflower fritters was very surprising, it had it a sweet taste but still had the good Chilli kick. The brisket grilled cheese was delicious. The kids loved the chicken fingers and french fries, the fries were so fresh and flavorful. Overall, very good service and great drinks. Kid-friendliness: They had a kids menu that had activities for the kids and provided crayons.

Food was served in quick time, service with a smile, great recommendations and food was very delicious.

It was our first time here, and I would highly recommend it. If you order the nachos, get ready, they are delicious and enough for a meal.

This is a direct message for management. A massive group of us occupied the third floor venue for a wedding event Aug 24. Without going into long wind detail, the group asked me to give a specific shout out to Peter. Although all the staff that night were outstanding, Peter had a motivated hustle that was recognized by the entire crowd. Hats off to this gentleman for making the night efficient despite the up/down stairs and constant volume. Give this man whatever he wants. He is an asset.

Solid choice in Main St. Unfortunately, they dont have the original Hofbrauhaus Munchen beers but they do brew their own in house beer called HBH. Food is solid 4; protein was juicy, gravy was overly salty. Service was great and will definitely come back.

I went to this place last night, and while the drink selection was awesome and the bartenders were great, the food was a total letdown. Casandra and Kathal were super nice, but the spring rolls tasted like feet. The new Dubliner burger was just bacon jam on bread nothing else. I did like their pizzas, but the sticky pudding was just a sugar-butter mess. The burgers were the worst part. They were overcooked, blackened, and tasted stale and off. Definitely not something you d want to take home; they d just get worse. I also had a run-in with the manager, who was a real jerk. Honestly, after that experience, I won t be coming back to this dump anytime soon, and it might ruin my view of Newmarket altogether.

I recently checked out this place, and honestly, it was one of the most bizarre dining experiences Ive ever had. Let s start with the food. The salads were surprisingly decent Ill give them that. They looked great and had a nice freshness to them. But then I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, and wow, was that a letdown. First off, the chicken was cold, which is a huge no-no for a sandwich like that. I was expecting crispy goodness, but instead, I got a soggy mess drenched in way too much sauce. Seriously, it was like they were trying to drown the sandwich. And the bun? Cold and uninviting. It was such a disappointment, especially when you re craving something comforting and warm. Now, let s talk about the drink selection. They didn t have the right collection of beer, which was a bummer. I was hoping to pair my meal with something nice, but the options were pretty limited and didn t match the vibe of the place at all. To top it off, the manager, Jeff, really didn t help the situation. He was incredibly rude and just seemed completely oblivious to how to treat customers. It felt like he was doing us a favor by even acknowledging our existence. A little friendliness goes a long way in the hospitality industry, you know? Overall, I can t recommend this place. If you re looking for a good meal and decent service, you might want to skip it. It s a shame because it had potential, but it just didn t deliver.

I recently visited this place and had high hopes, especially with the good drink collection and the promise of a nice evening. Our server, Cassandra, was quite the character bitchy but entertaining. The bartender was great too, but unfortunately, that s where the positives ended. Let s talk about the food: it was pretty tasteless. We ended up with lava cake and crème brûlée for dessert, and honestly, I was hoping for a lemon cake that wasn t even on the menu. Such a letdown! Then there was Jade, another server, who completely neglected us while spending her time chatting with my wife. When we finally tried to get another server s attention for help, he actually told my brother-in-law that he was being flirty with Jade and suggested he back off. Seriously? That was such an insult! We decided to talk to the manager about our experience, hoping for some understanding or resolution, but he was just as dismissive. It felt like we were talking to a brick wall, this was a distasteful experience, and I can t see myself returning. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Avoid this place if you re looking for good service and a pleasant meal. Kid-friendliness: nice and sweet

This place was fine. The beer selection was great and the server worked hard. Kitchen was slow, but our food was good. Our friends had pizza and said it wasnt great- the dough was strange. We were told that there wasnt room for us (4 families) when we arrived even though the place was empty... It was a weird vibe to start a meal.

The food was good. The seating was a bit uncomfortable because there is no back piece to the bench so the person behind me kept leaning on me. The service was slow but it was a busy Friday night. I would go back!

Chefs are very creative and the menu has potential! Got the wings and burger. Wing meat quality was poor. Burger meat also dry and overcooked. Restaurant has poor acoustic management and it s very hard to have conversation. For price it was a below average experience overall.

My children and I had an absolutely delightful time at this charming gastropub in Newmarket. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the stage for a memorable experience. We started off with the brisket quesadilla, which was a perfect blend of savory flavors and melted cheese truly a treat for the taste buds! The fettuccini pasta was cooked to perfection, with a creamy sauce that had just the right amount of richness. And lets not forget the lunch pizza, which was generously topped and baked to a crispy perfection. A special shout-out to Cathal, our server, who provided us with excellent customer service throughout our meal. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Overall, this gastropub exceeded our expectations with its delicious food, cozy ambiance, and top-notch service. Whether youre a local or just passing through Newmarket, this place is a must-visit for a truly enjoyable dining experience. Well definitely be back for more!

This is one of my personal favorite places places to stop for food and drinks on Main Street! Food is amazing! The staff is incredible! The environment is very chill! There is also a great selection of craft beer here, and a beautiful patio to sit on! I would recommend this location to pretty much everyone! 10/10 experience!

Ive been coming here for years, but over the past year+ have made it my go to stop on Main. Such a great vibe here and selection of drafts and specialty pizzas is always impressive. There is an obvious love for the work from the employees and especially the customers by all the staff, who seems to somehow know every guest sitting at the bar! Highly recommend you give this place a try, you wont be disappointed!

Food quality was subpar ! We ordered a pizza which was not tasty at all. Service was OK.

Worst customer service ever experienced. First we arrived at 10 pm. No one even tried to welcome us or make us a seat, instead we were getting weird attitudes from the waitress. Once seated they brought a menu and told us we had to order from that late night menu, which their menu was for 10:30 and after. I don t understand why they were limiting our food even though there was still half an hour left to late night menu. Anyways, we went ahead and ordered from their late menu, they didn t bring our food until 11 at night! And then they forgot my pizza! I went to them and inquired about my pizza, she went back in the kitchen and after 5 min she said oh your pizza will be ready in 10 min. WHAAAT! Not even an apology. I cancelled right away. They also didn t bring my kids meal juice. And they brought half a small bottle of water for table of 8! Worst ever service. Never gono step a foot in here

Food was incredibly slow to come out (1.5 hours). As a big party it may be understandable especially in a swamped kitchen, however we were not notified at all. Server barely checked in on our party of 8 people and our glasses were empty for most of the night. When the food arrived, the nachoes were soggy, the burgers were NOT worth the price, the fries were soggy, the duck pizza was drowned in honey and the quesadillas were pretty much inedible. The only reason good isn t one star is because there wasn t anything dangerous in the food, but 2 is still probably generous. Atmosphere was fine. Not too loud, nice decor nothing special.

First time to this area. Food was amazing, served pipping hot and really delicious!

I came here with my girlfriend for dinner. We ordered two burger meals HBH burger and the wagyu with two berry type liqueur drinks. The fries were cooked in old dirty vat oil. The HBH burger was pure grease and the Wagyu burger was dry with no flavour. The drinks were not made right period with the drink wrong colour and couldn t taste any liquor. The staff was spoken too about the food quality and my bill reduced by one meal. I wanted to argue the food quality some More but my girlfriend insisted we leave. For the amount of money to be spent on food I expect good quality all the time. When we walked into this place all I could smell was bleach and not food. That s a turn off for a food establishment. Not saying cleaning is bad. We well never be back and will not recommend this establishment to anyone.

That brisket quesadilla is bomb

I recently visited Hungry Brew Hops with my family and had a truly disappointing experience. The service was rather exceptionally poor. Our waiter was disrespectful , which set a negative tone for the night right from the start. We order 2 beverages, and when it finally arrived the ice was melted, and when we ordered 2 more we were refused our drinks. The experience was so unpleasant due to the service that we ended up leaving early. This was far from the enjoyable night out we had anticipated. I would not recommend this place based on our experience.

Honestly such a prime location, such a shame that the service doesn t meet the expectations. The food is served cold and service is rather slow. The wait is extremely long so your money is spent buying beverages while waiting, just too bad the ice is mostly melted by the time you receive the drink. Horrible experience, took a work client there, wasn t worth the hype and won t be returning due to the high levels of disrespect from the Hungry Brew Hops team

This place isn t what it used to be. Amazing atmosphere but extremely rude & disrespectful servers in the restaurant. I was celebrating a major milestone with my family, and decided HBH was a local favourite to meet at. However - we were extremely disappointed with the attitude of both the servers and management. With a tone of utter disrespect we were asked to leave after requesting a second beverage from the bar while waiting for a server to order our food (45 mins later). With a 1.5 yr old baby running around and keeping our hands full, the server made it clear that we were unwanted in the facility and requested we leave (7pm). We hadn t received our dinner nor had we had a chance to order a 2nd round of beverages before we were disrespectful disregarded. Wish the experience was better, but we will never go back after years of being loyal customers!!!!!! Such a disappointment for hungry brew hops since it s been in Newmarket for over 10 years but maybe it s best for something new, modern and maybe more accommodating for the local demographic here in the GTA #boycottHBH

Was out with a friend on a Saturday evening and I ordered the Hungry Brew Hops Burger with the a pint of the House Brew. The service and atmosphere was quite exceptional.

Terrible customer service recently. Sad to say I will not be going here anymore despite being a regular customer for the past 7 years. Today I came with my newborn, husband and service dog - we just stopped outside to look at their open patio when a server (male, moustache, tattoos) immediately came up and said no strollers outside and no dogs allowed inside and walked away despite us not even asking to be seated and him disregarding our service animal. Unfortunately this is not the first incident where the staff have been rude. Last year our party of 6 were rudely told to hurry up with our order and we were not even taking long. This is with an automated 18% tip tacked on to the bill. I should have never came back after that summer. Learned my lesson today. Staff are now rude, inattentive and immediately jump to conclusions. I ll take my loyalty and tip somewhere else.

The food was just alright. Nothing special. However, the water bottles given at the table were not clean. Seems like they were filled with tap water over and over not being cleaned in between as there was food residue stuck on the inside of the glass. Noticed it on the bottle at a table next to us too. That said, because of this, will not be going back.

Friend ordered burger, got wrong one. I ordered Steak Frites. Fries and sauce were good but the steak was a little underwhelming as it was really over cooked. Place was very pleasant though and location is nice. Outdoor patio offered.

Pricey but definitely worth it. Food is always excellent and their craft beer / cider menu often cycles in new stuff to try. One of my favourite vibes of any bar; a proper gastro pub is getting harder and harder to find. This spot is a must try

I actually do recommend this place, the reason I gave 4 stars is because my burger was medium cooked, a little pink inside. It was the burger with brisket on top.. Im just not a fan of ground up not Cooked meat bacteria ground up in my burger.. Everyone else with me really enjoyed their food!!!

Woah. I did not expect the level of yumminess. I had the duck pizza - it was a beautiful thing. My friend had a veggie burger with fries and like a curry ketchup...unbelievably the best fries I have ever had and Ive had a lot of stellar hand-cut chip truck fries. Fab menu and reasonable pricing. Professional and kind staff and a cool vibe...was a bit chilly but it also wasnt very busy - also a bonus since we were at the back by ourselves.

I was long contemplating whether to write this review or not and decided to go ahead with it, with hopes that perhaps the management will better their customer service skills going forward. We were looking for a place to eat around Main Street and decided to go to HBH. When we entered I noticed was a funky unpleasant smell there, which already had me second guessing the choice to eat there. We also had three very hungry kids with us so first thing we ordered were the kids meals and drinks. When the waiter finally came with all of our drinks, and to take the rest of the order he had the unfortunate accident of spilling a whole pint of beer right over my daughter s head. Her whole head, hair and all her clothes were soaked. Of course I understand that accidents happen, and I actually felt really bad for him. At that point it was approximately half an hour since we arrived, and we still did not eat or drink anything, and obviously could not stay there with an 8 year old child covered in beer, so we said that we will be leaving. As we were leaving someone came to us - who I can only assume to be the manager, and told us that we don t need to worry about the bill Now, I m sorry, but after a half an hour wait with no food, no order for the adults or drinks and a beer covered child, why in the world would worrying about the bill even be an option?? Not to mention that by that point the kids meals should have been ready and he could have at least asked if we wanted to get them to go or somehow better the situation. Can t really comment on the food, because it s been over a year since I ve eaten there but this time the overall experience was very disappointing, that completely ruined our evening and left us hungry. I can say that it is not a place that we will be returning to.

Very Very Very Expensive, Not Worth It !!! The food lacked Flavor. Very DIRTY Establishment ! Terrible service! The staff was rude and inattentive. No quality check whatsoever, no checking to see if we need anything. Wine and food overpriced We had to wait for ages to get our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and poorly cooked. Not worth the price. The food was mediocre at best. food lacked flavor. It felt like they were cutting corners to save costs. The tables were dirty, the utensils were dirty, underneath the tables dirty, Bathrooms you guessed it DIRTY Just a DIRTY place. This place has certainly gone downhill Not what it was before. Save your money and go elsewhere The George and Ground Burger Bar are way better

This place was fantastic in 2015, with a great selection of beer and beers in barrels, and a nice atmosphere. We went back with some friends and were quite underwhelmed given that the music was blarring loud to the point where you couldnt hear someone sitting 2ft across from you. Even after turning down the music a bit, you had to yell across the table. Really ruining the point of having a nice evening over some drinks with friends. Even live music at a brewery wouldnt top those levels. I hope to see them bring back some more unique beer selections in the future.

Been coming here for 8 years. It is a staple of Newmarket Main Street. Staff is excellent they really make you feel part of the team, such a fantastic atmosphere. Cannot recommend enough if you re looking for a local, go to spot.

Went in and right away the waitress told us we can t sit in the seat we asked for as they said you need to be in a group of 3 or 4 (we were group of 2). I understand the logic if it s busy or close to busy time; however the place was empty, tons of tables available. We were seated in this tight table, very limited table space. We decided to leave as that call makes no sense. Bad business training on their end. No logical service so makes me question other choices they might make. Rather eat and spend elsewhere

We were fortunate enough to book the upstairs private room for a baby shower of 30 people this past weekend. Event Planner, Madison, was nothing short of amazing! The co-ordination, the assistance she provided in the planning process, and her constant hands on service during the event was over and above our expectations! The food buffet was excellent and in constant replenishment. Any of the staff we had interaction with were all so approachable and helpful. Very nice place, some menu options are original, a great change of pace. I feel like most would go for the pizza or burger. Had the egg and bacon daily lunch, bacon was out of this world and extra smokey, I suspect it was home made.

Celebrated nieces 25th birthday on December 27 and we all had a great time and dinner, highly recommend for special events or casual dinner, always have great service and delicious food and drinks.

Plain awful. This restaurant is just plain awful. From the food to the service. It was an overall bad experience. The prices here are exorbitant for what you get. The food was mediocre at best. I expected a lot more for the amount I paid. not value for money. The food was tasteless and bland. It seemed like it was reheated and microwaved not fresh at all. Using descriptions like nice and good for their craft beer you can tell the servers are not well versed with craft beer, disappointing Do yourself a favour and head down to The George very friendly staff and amazing food

Food here is DISGUSTING and GROSS. Over priced DOG FOOD The place is HORRIBLE I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price Not fresh ingredients at all. Worth Trying. Fairly typical bar/pub with a decent menu offering classic burgers to steaks and ribs. Lamb Burger is a new one - dont see it often. Comes with two chunky patties, gamey and filing. After a morning spent at the splash pad with my young daughters, we walked over to HBH to have lunch. My daughter chose the chicken tenders off the lunch menu. She received a generous portion that she was unable to finish, she is 4 so thats to be expected. I ordered the warm goat cheese salad without protein solely due to the price. Salads are expensive in general, but to add another 8$ to a 17$ salad was not an option for myself who is on maternity leave. I did treat myself to a sangria that was hefty in price, $14.00. It was good, but I would not Purchase again for that price. The service was great, the location is busy inside or outside on the patio.

My wife and I blindly walked into this place and we absolutely enjoyed our time here. Our waitress was awesome, drink selections were fantastic, and the food was delicious.

Vibe of the place seems nice, but staff are clearly unhappy and the food is very bad, especially given the fairly high price. Waited 20min before we first saw a server. They do have a good beer list though if you re just looking for drinks!

Don t waste your money. Cocktails were watered down, food was a 1 star so super disappointing. Spend your money elsewhere .

Brisket was incredibly dry! Pizza could have been made by a 10 year old.

We thought it was a cute place walking by but the server was terrible. We were there for an hour and 20 total and after we ordered drinks the server didnt come back to get a food order because he thought we were just doing drinks but never asked prior. Waited what felt like forever for our food because our drinks were empty, finally got our food and eventually the server came by and again, didnt ask if we wanted drinks but asked if he forgot our drinks. Didnt finish the food, we were so disappointed we paid and got out of there. Unless youre a regular Id suggest skipping this place.

One of the worst dining experiences I ve had in a while. We never got the servers name because he never introduced himself but he was a wearing a hat and working behind the bar. It felt like he was intentionally ignoring us and tending to the tables around us. We had to flag him down to make a food order 30 minutes into being seated. We sat with empty drinks for almost a half hour because he didn t quality check the food or see how we were doing. After an hour he asked if he had forgotten drinks for us and we replied well you haven t been back to ask if we wanted more . He didn t seem to care so we asked for the bill. The lack of professionalism and care was astounding. Unless you are regulars I highly recommend skipping this place.

The hostess was TERRIBLE and RUDE!! We walked in, no greeting. Asked her: can we sit at the table outside? No response asked her again: is it ok? She responded with no expression: I don t know what are you talking about. My husband then said, just right outside the building. She kept walking .. yeah. I just have to wipe it down We just walked right out across the street. It s a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Too nice of a day to deal with below standard customer service. We will never ever go back. This is the second time we came to this place. Last time was dinner, the server was also miserable. Something off about this place. Do not come to this place, let these miserable ppl ruin your day.

Popped in for lunch with a buddy greeted by a friendly staff Good beer selection and service Order the bone marrow app which was really good. Two canoe bones for $17. What a steal. 9/10 Buddy ordered the pull pork burger and I got the chicken sandwich The fried chicken piece was kinda thin and batter was too crispy. 5/10 Overall decent spot for drinks and food 7/10

I love this place. Have been going regularly since the place has opened. We go almost every week for lunch on Saturday and periodically for dinners as well as the special events they host. I am also a mug club member. I have seen the staff change, the menus evolve and the beer list expand. At this point it feels more like visiting family than going to a pub. When we walk in we are always greeted with a cheerful hello from the hostesses who know to just let us walk to our regular spot. When sat we are greeted again by both bar staff and waitresses as they come and go to fill orders, as well as the other regulars also sitting at the bar. The kitchen staff will also come and say hello to us when they notice us there as they go back and forth to the kitchen. We cheerfully chat to all of them about the week s events and goings on. The regular menu items are all of excellent quality given the price point and the menu changes seasonally (quarterly typically) and there are also various new specials to try each week. Never gets boring. I have to say I am a little confused by some of the negative reviews I see on here, especially with regards to service. I can only assume there was some miscommunication or misunderstanding by the person dong the review and the staff and they probably didn t give the staff the opportunity to correct the situation or they were overly demanding. I would easily recommend this pub to my friends and family as well as the other two restaurants in the group.

Went for lunch. I had the Ya Buddy pizza, my sister had a burger and our friend the beet salad which was all food recommended by our server. All was absolutely amazing!! Food, server and atmosphere all worth going back again!!

We had a great time at Hungry Brew Hops. The food was especially delicious, I had the brisket and my wife the lamb burger and Id recommend either.

Stopped in after a long bike ride. The beer selection is great. The food, however, .we had the pizza of the day .chicken, roasted tomatoes and cheese ..lets just say it was awful. It was just flatbread that was overcooked as far as the crust (black sear marks under the crust) and the top of the pizza was mushy and not cooked enough. To top it off .this tiny pizza was $20! Super disappointing. The servers all seemed to want to be anywhere but there!! Unhappy faces and not friendly. We have been the HBH in the past and the food was great. Brought friends as well and everyone enjoyed the menu. Not sure what happened but the place is not the same. We didnt mention anything to the server because thats not our style but i dont think we will be back.

My pulled-pork nacho was requested with extra cheese and meat so it looks this good, and I love that for $35, I get to keep the 1L beer glass as souvenir !

Stay away from the chicken. Waited 40min for our order and it was pink raw, and after showing to waitress she took the concern to management that said it s cooked but the seasoning makes it pink .

Really great place. Amazing food, huge beer list. It looks like a good group of regulars and a fun, engaging staff. Definitely go! Fair warning, its one of those places with the smaller tables and a lot of hightops, but cant blame them for following the trend. Great place for a meal and a pint!

The staff allow homophobic and discriminatory remarks by other patrons. Specifically Bruno and Stephanie. I will never support this establishment again and I will ensure my entire network knows about this disgusting behaviour.

It s a great place with, a great selection of food and beers. While I haven t tried too much of either what I have was excellent. The staff is great and while our visit started off a touch rough with a miscommunication of who was covering which tables. They more than made up for it, with their understanding. Just adding that the kids menu has a good selection, and the pizza was enjoyed by our little one. Kid-friendliness: The kids menu has a great selection and should have something for even the pickiest of water.

Unfortunately had an unpleasant experience this past weekend. Came here for lunch and ended up waiting an hour for our food. By the time we were seriously considering cancelling our order/ leaving, the server started us telling us the food was almost ready. There was a huge table that was already there that I guess messed up the service, but a warning wouldve been appreciated. Many other customers, from outside too, kept coming to the bar to ask for stuff. It was an hour from getting our drinks to getting our food. Our appetizer never came but was still originally on the bill. Food ultimately felt expensive for what it was. Dropped 80$+ on 2 drinks, a burger and a salad and felt really silly doing so considering the wait time. Dont see a reason to come here again.

Ive been to the Hofbräuhaus München and Las Vegas, and when I saw the Octoberfest schnitzel and HB beer at Hungry Brew Hops today at lunchtime, I was excited. Service was stretched thin. When the food arrived, the schnitzel was overdone and difficult to chew. Of the small serving of the roasted potatoes, they too were overcooked but mushy. For $33, I expected something special and I was very disappointed. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Avoid this place. The food is overpriced and not good at all. The service is extremely slow.

Probably the best chicken sandwich I have ever had.

Went in at 9:20. Employee came to us and was rude and told us they were closing in 10 minutes yet there were still lots of customers inside dining and google showed that they were open till 11pm.

Let me begin by saying that Im the kind of person who orders the chicken sandwich at 90% of the new pubs I try, unless the place is known for some other novelty dish. Over my time, iv likely tried chicken sandwiches from 30-50 different establishments, and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich at HBH is HANDS DOWN my number 1. Iv now driven back to this location a handful of times (1.5-2 hr drive from home) to get THIS sandwich exclusively. I just pray now that they do not change this sandwich in anyway for the foreseeable future. PSA TO ALL OTHE PUB OWNERS: Go, and taste this sandwich to understand what would make a customer drive hours to eat their dish. Thank you greatly HBH for the wonderful experience you bring to my taste buds every time i visit.

I only had their homemade pizza, and it was great! The crust was amazing and it was cooked perfectly with a good amount of toppings. A bit on the oily side but Im eating a pizza not a salad.

usually only beers and snacks in the past. this time was a baby shower private room and menu. the food was excellent bbq pork ribs was tender juicy bbq sauce was right on and not salty highly recommended fried chicken was thin and tasty the coleslaw and the corn bread are the signature and quality retains. the toppings of f sautéed mushroom and onion r tasty not savory so balance plus their wide variety of beers the room setting is ok not expecting too fancy or spacious highly recommend for party and happy hours specials cheers

6 adults and 1 child had the worst brunch in the history of brunches. Portions were small - burgers better at McDonalds. Literally little service. Pour your own water which was never refreshed. No salt and pepper or condiments on the table. No offer to refresh coffee. Eggs Benedict were terrible, hard and the hollandaise sauce non-existent. Oh and if you want a Sangria dont order it here no fruit quote unquote its our version we dont order in berries. Spent $200.00 + tip. What a waste of money. Went for lunch and had the HBH Burger. It was super tasty and quite the mouthful. Got the fries with it and the service was great. Would definitely go back to try some of the other menu options.

UPDATED 11/2023: HBH has really fallen off from its glory days. The food quality has gone down hill substantially. Portion sizes are not reflective of the price, and the quality of the ingredients certainly isnt up to par the way it used to. If the prices were $4 - $10 less per item then it would be fine, but at these prices (even in this inflated economy) its not reflective. I stopped ordering food there late into the pandemic because the quality of food dropped off, and it has never recovered. The beer selection has deteriorated as well. Theyve never restored as many taps as they had pre-pandemic. The pricing for the beers is also ridiculous. $9 - $10 for a pint is quite pricey. A flight for $14 is also absurd. Service has also really dropped off. The staff seem disinteresteds and are not attentive. As someone who used to be a regular here it is really sad to see how far HBH has fallen off. Look no further than my original review below from 5 years ago. Its just not worth it anymore unless they make drastic changes. ORIGINAL: HBH changes up their menu a few times a year, so I wont post individual foods that are really good because they can be switched out with something new at any point. On the menu there is something for everyone. There are great selections of Meat options, Vegan options, Appetizers, Salads, Pizzas, and more. The only thing I would say the menu is lacking is a variety of dessert options. There are usually only 2 or 3 options. But, if you are coming to HBH, you are most likely coming for the beer. There is a large selection of rotating taps of Craft Beers from all over Ontario. There are some staple beers that are always on tap, but the rest of the taps feature rotations of IPAs, IIPAs, PAs, APAs, Stouts, Porters, Sours, Witbiers, Pilsners, Lagers, and Ciders. The beer is very reasonably priced. They also have a decent selection of wines if that is your thing. Service is excellent. The staff are very friendly an attentive. Just be mindful that the food is a little on the expensive side in my opinion. I would definitely suggest that you go to HBH if you like beer and good food!

I always have an amazing time at HBH. Depending on time of day, I can do anything from sit, read, and enjoy a good drink and food, to chatting with any number of people there late at night. Steph and Austin the managers there make sure that any food I order I allergene free for me and all the staff are diligent in their attention to detail. Dietary restrictions: Never an issue with any allergy issues when asked about. Parking: Large public free parking lot available at the rear of the building. It does serve the whole of the area, but there is always an available spot to find.

This was my third time to eat here. Ive tried their burger, nachos and pizza plus their flights of beer and they were all delicious! It has a very fun and relaxed local pub vibe but with higher quality food and the staff is super friendly. Totally worth our drive all the way from Maple to eat here!!

Had late lunch at HBH a couple of months ago on their outdoor patio. Me, my wife, my parents and our little dog. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly by the friendly waitress. Ordered the nachos, pizza, hbh burger, salad and the brisket. Food was very tasty and the portions were big. My mom had the nachos and they were excellent. She is not a big eater so we all helped her out but still brought some home. My dad had the pizza which was also very good. My wife had the beet salad and I had the brisket and we all enjoyed the food thoroughly. Also had a couple of IPAs that were recommended by the staff. They also brought out a water bowl for our little dog which was appreciated. Great experience and highly recommend. You can t go wrong with HBH.
