First time ordering from here through uber eats Probably the worst Greek food I have ever had in my life. I ordered the salmon which was the tiniest piece of fish I ve ever seen. Rice/potatos and salmon smelled weird and tasted awful like it s been sitting for the whole day then reheated. Had to throw the entire order in the garbage as I don t want to take a risk getting sick. Would never recommend this place to anyone What a shame and waste of money.

I ordered the chicken wrap, and every bite was bursting with flavor. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, and the combination of fresh vegetables added a delightful crunch. The wrap bread was soft, warm, and held everything together beautifully. But what really took the meal to the next level were the sauces. The tahini sauce was rich and creamy, adding a perfect nutty flavor that complemented the chicken perfectly. And the hot sauce wow! It had just the right amount of heat, bringing everything together with a delicious kick. These sauces are to die for and truly elevate the entire meal. After a long day of work I stumbled upon this place on my way home and was greeted by the most lovely lady behind the counter. Her English wasnt the best but she had no issue taking my complicated order. The food is delicious and the portions are more than fair! Im happy to say Ill be coming back and look forward to trying their Lamb!

We had a party for 15 people and ordered the food here. It was delicious. The portions were generous. The salad was so fresh and delicious. We also found the service excellent. The food was ready and hot exactly when promised. We will be back for sure!

This restaurant is now under new management. We tried to find a Greek restaurant in Newmarket so we Googled address and off we went. Small restaurant with seats for eating in or take out. Very clean establishment. We decided to eat in. The restaurant was quiet for a Saturday afternoon but the smell of the food was inviting. Large selection of wraps and plates. I had the chicken wrap with hot sauce, tomato, onion, pickles, turnips and tzatziki. The best wrap yet. My husband had the falafel meal with lemon potatoes and rice. It also comes with a side salad. All very tasty but filling and delicious. We won t need dinner after this. To finish off the meal a small Swiss chocolate accompanied the meal. Will be going back again. All food is homemade.

Chicken had no spices, and the food was drenched in sauce. The staff and service was great though.

Finally a Souvlaki I dont find dry. My family agree the flavours have Persian tastes and it works perfectly. Prices not cheap but affordable and ample amounts.

Got the chicken dinner from uber. In the picture the sauce is on the side. It arrived with sauce over everything by that time it arrived the mayo in the sauce had cooked. Tasted awful. And for some reason everything tasted like coconut milk, thats not Greek at all

I stumbled upon Yummy Souvlaki on my way home this evening and it was SO good. The portions are large and flavorful - the chicken souvlaki and the Persian food really hit the spot. The owner is lovely too. Definitely recommend trying it out.

This restaurant is by far one of the nicest places in Newmarket. The staff are so friendly and loving. They have a very clean atmosphere, very comfortable seating, a beautiful and very clean bathroom. The proportions are very large, so you won t worry that you re not getting the most of your money. They also play really nice music. The staff there really care about whether their customers enjoy the food or not. They even had a 10% off promotion happening for Mother s Day! I even got a free drink! I will definitely be back!!

Had a wonderful first experience at Yummy Souvlaki. The staff are pleasant and welcoming, and the food is delicious. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki dinner, and with it being my first time, I was given a complimentary drink and extra meat added to my meal. The abstract art on the walls, paired with smooth jazz music, made for a calming atmosphere to eat in, as well.

Few food items were too salty. Although customer service was wonderful, staff personal hygiene took from it. The lady that served us was very nice and helpful. However, she looked like she could have used a shower. Her hair was unkept, her clothes were unkept. Respectfully, her face was not clean. I went there twice and same thing twice. Dropped by here after a dentist appointment for a bite to eat and very pleasantly surprised by the experience. I was expecting Jimmy the Greek but got so much better than that! The gentleman who served me was very kind and polite. The 1 star is based off of the Gyro dinner plate I ordered. The Gyro was greenish/yellow which I have never seen before and the spices were certainly nothing that resembled Greek flavours. I have had better food court Greek food to be honest. First of all I came here because I was looking for AUTHENTIC GREEK Souvlaki and Gyro. If that s what your looking for than this place is a 1 star. What I will tell you is if you are looking for YUMMY Souvlaki and Gyro and other foods that they offer, then it isn t false advertising. The food is exactly that! Very Yummy! As I said earlier, this would have been a 1 star review had it not been for several factor. I immediately noticed the Gyro wasn t made in the classic greek way and I was a little disappointed. I understand how these small businesses are and I was short for time on my lunch break so I wasn t ready to be picky. From the start the owner was very kind and polite, he worked quickly and I could tell he was trying his best. It s a humble place and the one thing I really liked was that the topping all looked fresh and inviting! Sometimes places like this will have wilted greens but everything was fresh and clean. The prices aren t necessarily amazing, but if you like supporting small businesses than the price is worth it! I was worried I might be a little disappointed in the flavour because I was craving authentic Greek but I was more than pleasantly surprised!!! It was REALLY YUMMY!!! I felt good about my purchase and will definitely come back again! As I said, if you are 110% craving authentic this is not for you, but if your willing to try a more Arabian/Persian take on a classic Greek Meal then you re in for a pleasant surprise! Fair prices, pretty good food. However it seems they are always understaffed and if, god forbid, there are other people in the store, then your wait time is exponentially increased regardless of your order. And I understand that s customary, but you know what isn t? Having one person on staff during mealtimes! Also the souvlaki skewers are bland and always soaking wet & the gyro meat is microwaved.

The food is ready made but nonetheless the chicken was flavourful and moist. The Greek salads taste was on par and rice and potatoes while tasty had an odd flavour, a spice that I couldnt place; it wasnt terrible, just different. The disappointing area lies with restaurants cleanliness; dust in the bathrooms and old stains on top of the garbabges. Also, there was no napkins available.

So happy to have some delicious Greek food in the neighbourhood (those potatoes are particularly amazing!!) And the service/owner was very pleasant!

Ive now been to Yummy Souvlaki twice and been served by both owners of the company, and as I have receive consistent service, I wanted to leave a review to share my experience so you can make an informed decision when eating here. First of all, this is not Greek souvlaki - the food here is souvlaki with a bit of Middle Eastern/South Asian twist, so youll need to appreciate that when you come here and be open minded. PORTION SIZE: 10/10 With the souvlaki meals, you get a double serving of salad, rice, potatoes and then the souvlaki on top. When I receive my dinners I am thoroughly impressed as there is a mountain of food when you open the container. Keep in mind a restaurant/business is open to make money - theyre not open to give people free food or do business at a loss - no business does. The price you pay for these dinners is cheap compared to what you are getting - the value for money is great. I order 2 souvlaki dinners and both my wife and I are extremely full, and its tasty. Comparable restaurants in the area (Ive eaten at 3 other souvlaki restaurants), charged $14, $16 and $16. The other two places I had souvlaki at that charged $16 both give you less food, less tasty, and personally, let me feeling ripped off. CHICKEN SOUVLAKI: 10/10 I love the chicken souvlaki - I usually order an extra skewer in my meal because it tastes so good. Not spicy at all, but not bland. Moist and cooked thoroughly, cant go wrong. PORK SOUVLAKI: 5/10 The pork souvlaki is not souvlaki, sorry. It seems more like a kebab or something - I found it to be dry and flavorless. I would not recommend the pork nor would I buy it again. Despite the mediocre pork souvlaki, I still gave this place a 5 star review because on top of all this, the owners are very humble and sweet. They are professional, polite and want you to be happy with their food. So many people will go to expensive restaurants and receive bad service yet still be happy, but then they come to smaller restaurants and get great genuine service and unfortunately arent happy. I am very happy with this restaurant, I think they have great value for money food, and I feel like an appreciated customer. A+ in my books.

I went to have lunch, I ordered the Gyro wrap the service was fast however the gyro was terrible cold salty and looked like chunks of meat instead of strips nothing greek about it the franchisee was rude when i told him how the food was didn t take well to criticism of his food for someone that is a new franchise and to speak to clients like the way he did he should be ashamed of himself I would have tried the souvlaki but because he was rude I would never go back to his location or any other locations definitely would not recommend.

The nicest owner (or employee) Ive ever seen. Wouldve been my favorite spot if the food was always fresh (off the grill kinda fresh). Still better than most Greek places Ive been. Highly recommend trying it.

We had the chicken wrap and chicken souvlaki dinner. Both meals were tasty and had good ingredients. The food seemed to be more Lebanese influenced than actual Greek food. For example the chicken wrap came with Greek salad, pickles and a sauce that wasnt tzatziki. The chicken also does not have the typical Greek seasoning. It tasted good but reminded me more of a schwarma.

Nothing but good things to say about the customer service! The staff behind the counter were so friendly and welcoming! Food was also good. I enjoyed the rice, potatoes and salad and my husband liked the souvlaki. I am removing a star because, like a previous reviewer noted, their gyro is not gyro. Its not sliced, but looks like ground meat and the flavour profile is completely different. It didnt taste terrible, but when youre expecting Greek gyro, it is a disappointment.

We had the family special this weekend and the food was great! The whole family enjoyed it! Will definitely order again!
