The Alfredo Pasta was tasteless NOT a true Alfredo sauce. Tasted like some cheap jar sauce for $22 We gave VIVO another chance = never again Creaser salad dressing - my guess store bought and bottled. $15?? Pizza was ok This location is nothing like the on in Vaughan NEVER AGAIN

I didnt have the choice of 4.5/5, so 4/5 it is - in the era of inflated marks and underdeserved compliments. .. Pros: Good, easy to find and access location. Rather short but great choice of wines, reasonably priced! The pizza was awesome! The crust and quality are the closest to the Italian standards I found in Canada in 20 years. The staff was super nice and friendly. But the calamari and gamberetti dish is really a bunch of deep fried stuff... Cons: the interior feels very Starbucksy, more like an eatery or a caf than an Italian restaurant. Its too open, lots of noise and echo, and a couple of retro back-n-white pictures of Italian people eating Italian pasta do not help much.

I visited newmarket location, I had to constantly ask for utensils, napkins and ice for water, bad service, owner says they are busy but there was only a family of four there when I walked in, I offered to pay for pizza and go somewhere else, he said no don t pay for it and I walked away without eating. Imagine I was their customer four times a week. After reading owners feed back, I realized that in their point of view is easier to blame the regular customers than knowing the truth. 1. When I arrived at your restaurant I asked for glass of ice water due to being 20 degrees outside and I received a warm water on the table by your waitress, 2.when I ask for the water to be changed your waitress brought glass for me full of ice, 3.when I replied how would I be able to use the ice without having utensils she brought one small spoon and throw it on my table, you have to understand that moment I didn t have any napkins or other utensils to use for my food. I had to constantly ask for services on my table which any restaurant should provide for a customer. You are right about one thing no amount of money is worth going through being disrespected in your restaurant by your waitresses. Know the truth before blaming others. I am pretty straight shooter guy, if you are good I would say it, if you are not I would say it too.

Great food and friendly staff

Had the most wonderful dinner celebrating my kids birthday. She loves vivo, sadly the bradford location closed down so we made the drive and oh my gosh it was AMAZING. everything was so fresh and delicious. We all got different pizzas, pasta, salad etc. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely amazing. Restaurant is super clean. 10/10 we will definitely be going back

Overall: 4.2/5 Service: 5/5 Super sweet family-friendly spot. Every single person in that restaurant, both staff and even customers, were so kind and had such amazing energy. We had a table with my nieces and nephew, and they were very friendly, even with all of the kid noise. Ambiance: 5/5 Nice family-style restaurant, very homey and cozy, but clean and well maintained. Felt very comfortable! Food: 4/5 Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp - very nice, the flavour wasn t a typical alfredo that tasted like it was from a jar. Service was quick and kind and the food was so delicious. Had the Margarita pizza in the rigatoni bolognese. (I would most definitely recommend) I will be coming back forsure!

My mother, girlfriend and I decided we wanted to try this delicious looking Italian food after leaving a long day at the hospital with my very sick father at Southlake. We walked in and a waitress asked if we would like a table. I said no, we would like to order take out. The girl said not sure if we can cause of the parties which I didnt understand because takeout is less work for the staff than us having a table and eating in... but whatever. She disappears off to the back of the restaurant. In the meantime, another waitress asked if we needed a table. I said no we are waiting to see if they would do takeout cause of the parties. She said oh all the food has been served so it shouldnt be any problem to do a couple of dishes. Well, the first waitress came back and said they wouldnt make us take out. How are you too busy for take out but not too busy to seat us and serve us? The food smelled delicious. Unfortunately I will never return. Have lost my business and my entire family who lives in the areas business.

Food was way too expensive for the crummy atmosphere. No ambiance. Waitress was polite but had no clue what she was doing. Pizza crust was flimsy and soggy. The drinks were good. Bartender was sucking back the drinks in front of customers Caesar salad needed more dressing. Portions were okay. The outdoor cold air hits you whenever the door opens. Way too expensive for a mediocre meal. Other than pizza, selection was pretty slim. We spent 331 plus tip for 6 people. Only 4 of us had an alcoholic drink. I had water. Not worth it at all.

We had such a great experience hosting our kid s First Communion celebration at your restaurant this past weekend. Thank you for taking such good care of us and our guests. The food was delicious and plentiful. We really appreciate all of the extra things you did to make the day special for us. I can t say enough amazing words about the chef, and his amazing wife who served us. She made us feel at home and ensured our allergies and intolerances were addressed. The meals came out hot and omg so flavourful! Even the pickiest of eaters had the best meal ever! To Marco and his wife and staff thank you for your hospitality and for your service! Definitely appreciate it and we will be back!! Dietary restrictions: We had a multitude of allergies to accommodate in our party and they ensured that everyone had something they could enjoy. Parking: Shares parking lot with other restaurants enough space for parking.

I stop by this place to have some coffee and cake. The server is amazing and very professional. Tiramisu with coffee is best for a quick bite. Nice Italian ambience.

The food was nothing special. The tirramisu was terrible. The pizza soggy with oil. I think the waitress was new so service will be better with time. Kid-friendliness: Young crowd... high school or college.

Very clean and perfect quality

8 of us went to Vivo for a family get together (6 adults and 2 kids), and overall we were not impressed. The restaurant was about half full, but it took over an hour for our dinners to show up. We ordered pizzas, calamari & gamberetti fritti, and the special veal chop. The veal was over done and the shrimp with the calamari were almost unrecognizable. Stick with pizzas and dont go on Friday evenings when theres only one cook in the kitchen.

Everything was phenomenal. There was one server on an extremely busy Sunday night and she handled the room like a champ. She also went above and beyond when she found out it was my birthday. The food 100% matched the excellent service. Would absolutely recommend you check them out!

What a fantastic wedding celebration at Vivo Newmarket last night! Marco and his team went above our expectations. The food was fresh, plentiful and absolutely delicious. this was a huge surprise. And in nowhere Newmarkwt Ontario of all places. one of the very best prosciuto pizza ever. fantastic beet salad. best friendly and efficient service. there should be more Vivo around.

Second time there for dinner on a Sunday night and restaurant half full and only 1 server working again. He did a good job considering, but more servers is needed for better service! Also, why no AC? Owner doesn t want to pay for it? hotter then heck in there. So uncomfortable!!

Used Vivo for a family function, picked up the food hot and fresh, heated up great a few hours later and both pasta dishes were delicious! Would definitely use them again! Marco was great at suggesting what I needed and was quick to respond to my emails.

We ordered a marg pizza and meat pasta for take out. The pasta was ok but the pizza was undercooked, didnt ha e toppings on parts of it and honestly didnt taste good at all. We were disappointed.

Chef Marco is a true gem, I couldnt say enough good things about him and his food. The fried shrimp and calamari were my favorite but everything else is a close second.

I would consider this place a 3 to a 4. Ladies working there that I spoke to were very nice. Wanted to order a cesar, out of romaine lettuce they offered to do it with mixed greens but thats not a cesar anymore so Skipped that. Ordered the Calamari with shrimps which I really enjoy that combo but found the calamari a tiny bit chewy although flavour was good, the dip had a strange overly sour taste? Not the aioli s we are used to. Pizza was quite good I really liked the dough and the sauce (besides the char burnt black edge on one side) I would avoid the rapini as a topping next time as there was too much water on the pizza. Penne arrabiata with sausage very tasty. The biggest disappointment was the spaghetti Carbonara, it was 0 sauce just dry noodles .. was very surprised.

Food was great and the service was quite nice as well. Will definitely visit again.

There was approximately 4 small tables and 1 large party table. Took over 40 minutes for 3 dishes. Pasta was undercooked. Got the special polenta fries. 9 pieces for $15. Fries were good. Dipping sauce was a bit too strong with garlic. Large party was finishing appetizers when we arrived. Did not receive their entrees till after we finished eating.

We had our daughters communion at vivo Newmarket. Let me tell you it was EXCELLENT. The food was AMAZING, cooked to perfection, and nice and hot when it was served. The Service was top notch. Servers were there always taking care of us. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat. We will be back for sure.

You can tell that Chef Marco has a passion and love for cooking and delivering amazing mouth-watering delicious food! We have gone to this place 5 times and have NEVER been disappointed. His staff are attentive and ensure a comfortable customer experience at every interaction! We have had the pleasure of having Erin be our server for 4 of our 5 visits and she is fantastic! We would HIGHLY recommend Vivo Newmarket to all our family and friends. If you re looking for a casual, fun and relaxed atmosphere, you definitely need to check this place out! OMG, first time there, the best Italian food, Ive ever had in my life! Service fast and the friendliness, second to none! I can certainly see why its so busy, amazing food and atmosphere, they make you feel like family, just an all round amazing place!

Pizza here is really good. I would recommend for a takeaway but DEFINITELY not for in-house dining. Service was below what I would expect as a bare minimum. In fact, I would say this is the worst service I ve had dining out so far. In addition, the dining atmosphere is poor - is no music or vibe whatsoever. Would not recommend for anything but takeaway.

Went in on Canada day, I was the only customer on a quiet afternoon.....very nice location, nice interiors, service was pleasant enough, yet I had to go look for the server to ask for some ice for my drink. Would have thought a little more attention was warranted, specially when you have one guest to look after! Also, I have to ask - why WHY was the pizza soggy???? Is it just me, is this some sort of artisan pizza thats supposed to be this way!? Paid $65 , including a 15% tip for 1 very soggy & 1 slightly soggy pizza .

The staff are nice and welcoming. The pizza crust was Italian style and the taste was good, but the Prosciutto had so much fat.

Our first time eating here. Excellent service. Food as good as any we enjoyed as casual dining in Rome and Florence. Prices are great for the quality of food. Restaurant was clean even with only one waitress over an unexpectedly busy dinner time. We will definitely be making this a regular venue.

Vivo Newmarket is by far the best Vivo restaurant around let alone a great casual Italian restaurant. The service is great and the food is amazing. Marco the owner is truly passionate about his restaurant and it shows!!!

Being Italian, we were hesitant about having Italian food here in our hometown of Newmarket. We tried other Vivo locals, with average quality. We were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the food, plating and service. The pizza was amazing! I just returned from Italy, and was overly critical...it was truly amazing. Although one dish disappointed, know they did their best to rectify. This is a treasure for our town, and will definitely return.

Big portion and surprising value, food is very fresh, staff were very helpful and cheerful. Some of the best calamari ive had in the gta - large portion, very tasty but not gresy, so good we ordered extra food to take home. Definitely recommended

bright comfy settings; wide selection on wine list; excellent service; we did not try the appetizer coz only two of us; pizza dough can be improved and the tomato sauce also can be easier. please upgrade the olive which were salty ruined the pizza itself. the rigatoni bolognese is a decent dish; good value and portion. fresh grinder black pepper and fresh Parmesan cheese to be offered would be better. the pasta was perfectly cooked al donte. In general, good value and i will visit again and try the specials of the day and other pizza without olive.

I ve been to many vivo s and are all fantastic, BUT this location is by far my favourite. The owner and staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. I ve had multiple functions with and they never disappoint. Keep up the great work!

My family and I went to this restaurant yesterday evening. We were not very pleased with the food. I ordered Arancini (rice balls) and they were completely frozen in the middle. The 2 orders of calamari was not very good either not crispy or tasty. And we all ordered pasta dishes the pasta was not cooked enough was not al dente, needed a few more minutes and the sauce was very very watery like soup in the bottom of all our bowls. Also I think they should at least have in their menu that when you add something in your pasta dish it is extra and how much. Or at least the server should at least mention hey each add on is $5 each. Even the parmigiana was frozen.

Food was exquisite and the service was great! Best Italian food I ve ever had.

Okay. Im here right now. We had one of their specials called sacchetti. It was so amazing... I think Im going to have dreams about it. All the food ordered was fantastic and our server was just so attentive and whatever superlative you can come up with for nice. We are kicking ourselves for not coming here earlier as I wait in line for my Starbucks right in front of the restaurant. There is a strong chance that we will be here tomorrow, 100% within the week for that sacchetti.

My boyfriend and I called this place to make reservations after a night out at a Christmas market near by(Neimis Family Farm) We were seated on December 4th at 7:30pm typically should be attentive on a Saturday evening where people are going to dine out! We were excited to try out this place, but unfortunately would not come back here due to the lack of service and not the best experience. We were never introduced, or was asked if we wanted water to start. It was a quick eat and go type of service. Our waitress did not introduce herself and went straight to if we were ready to order (which we weren t because we didn t even get a drink in our hand before we could order apps). Our waitress was barely at our table, we waited around for a lot of things; cutlery, plates, drinks. I wouldn t come to this location, we were super disappointed and decided to not order our mains and just leave after our appetizer because of how long it took our waitress to acknowledge us at our table. (Ps I cannot comment back to your reply (owner) because it seems to me it hasn t been verified)

Service was absolutely terrible. I went to this restaurant with my Dad on February 19th and we were told where to sit when we ask if we could sit in another spot the waitress responded sorry Im cleaning that side however when other customers came in she did not respond the same way and let them sit there. The next problem arise when we wait 10 minutes with no comments or interaction from the waitress so we decided to walk out. The waitress walked by us multiple times and said nothing to us and did not acknowledge that we were there.

At the recommendation of a family member, I went in for lunch to give Vivo Pizza + Pasta a try. Right from the beginning, I enjoyed the atmosphere. My server, Erin, was fantastic! Since that time, I have gone in for some lunch and dinners. Now when I am in town, this has been my go to spot! Terrific food, great vibe, and led by the owner, Marco Carvaggio, Vivo is at the top of my list when dining in Newmarket! I highly recommend it for business lunches, family, dinners or teams looking for a place to gather as a group!

Great food..our sever was lovely ..dont remember her name..and the chef sent complimentary shots to our table...we were there on Saturday..we stayed until closing..would definitely visit again.

Under staffed on a Saturday night. Waitress placed wine on table and just walked away. We had to grab our own parmesan and oil. No bread for the table. One order was forgotten. Potatoe pizza is soggy and bacon was raw. Wont go back to this over priced take on pedestrian food.

Excellent food, service and prices!! Pizzas are so tasty. Casual - great for families or a date! The Owner is great!

Pasta is sub par not even close to authentic Italian cooking...as ab Italian person I can tell you this is not even close to being real

Fun urban European ambience. Pasta was great. Pizza could be better as it was a bit watery.
