Coop's Smokin' Wing House Newmarket in Newmarket

We always order from here and pick up and take it home. Food has always been good up until last night. We got two orders of fish and chips and the fish was horrendous. Undercooked and super fishy. I asked for fries well done they were not well done they were barely done at all and ended up in the garbage along with the fish. Chicken strips were excellent but fries went in the garbage. The big kid poutine was ordered and paid for but we got a regular poutine. I did call the restaurant to complain about getting the wrong poutine and they apparently have put a credit on the board so next time I call we get some money back. I m not sure I will order from here again because of the terrible experience last night. I ended up having to make two of us dinner because we couldn t eat the fish and chips. Do better Coops! Not sure if it was an off night or if you have a new cook? By the way the service and waitresses were great so it was just the quality of the food last night. So disappointed

Great evening watching the leafs game at coops. Charmaine and Jenn provided impeccable service. Drinks were never empty and food was great.

Review update- Came back to give another try and was very impressed. Good food, large portions and fantastic prices!! Server was nice too. I Will be back!! Wings were very soggy! Considering they are battered they shouldn t be soft and soggy. Server was vey let nice though.

Tried to call and order 6:25 pm on a Saturday looking forward to trying your wings. Got disconnected after it rang for a while. Tried to call back and the customer you are calling is not available. Repeatedly. Had to order elsewhere.

Went here for the 1st time with an old army buddy. Wings were great. service was awesome and fast. Not the cheapest around but it was good! Wings come with fries and the normal celery / carrot sticks which seems to be extra at most other places. Recommended! I hit the suicide and dry jerk suicide is there hottest and I found it not hot - but then again I grow Reapers for fun

Good food, great prices, theres always a game on. With multiple TVs, its a great spot to get off work enjoy a beer with the guys and a well-served meal and possibly watch the game. I would highly recommend coops for your getaway from home for a change ordeal, or even make it a thing. They just recently renewed their menu with a new style and delicious food. Definitely worth a look. Thanks for making my end-of-the-week a special one.

From the moment we walked in to the time we left, phenomenal experience, food is absolutely delicious and a shout out to Adrienne and Jen, best servers we have ever had, thank you, definitely going to become regulars. Parking: This place is easily accessible and has ample parking.

Excellent fresh food!

So we arrived at the senior hour for dinner, lol. It was 5:00 on the nose. There was not a car in the parking lot so we actually were almost going to turn around and not attend because we thought what does that say about the restaurant? But we decided to tough it out and go in and try it out. Wed never been there before. I am so glad we did. I had pierogies as an appetizer they were delicious and so well presented. They looked beautiful on the plate. My husband had french onion soup, he said it was very good. Then, of course, I had wings. They were fantastic, and the chef was very accommodating in my request for those. My husband had a hamburger. The bacon looked amazing on it he really enjoyed it. I had rings with mine. My husband had fries with his, both were delish. Of course soon as we showed up, more people started showing up. I think the parking lot was empty just because we were kind of early. I imagine they do very well there. The staff was very nice. Very friendly. I gave them a four for atmosphere only because it was very cold in there. Will return and recommend.

I had an amazing experience grabbing some food and a few drinks tonight! I was served by Ricky and Char and they were the best. They gave me amazing service and the food was perfect! So tasty for the price, and the service was above and beyond! I will be back again!

First time here. Came in for some wings and to watch the game. The servers Charmaine and Rikki were super friendly, the wings were hot and tasty, beer cold, and the game is on all the TVs!

if youre white great spot. if your black stay away. my white partner got their entire order of food while the two servers only got me a beer. Didnt receive any discount or adjustments to what we did order. Fries were extremely salty. Asked for a pound of wings never got it. . When addressing the staff with my issue. They both pointed their fingers at each other and tried to blame the cooks. like the cook took my order and didnt put it through. I saw staff eating at the bar which is Unprofessional and nasty. Go in the staff room or out back. no Staff during operating hours should be eating fries while on duty while serving a customer beers. while the other server hoped up at the bar and decided to have her break drink and eat with the customers. I can only imagine the cross contamination happening at that place.

Terrible service that borders on racism. My partner, who is black, and I went in to watch the game and have some food. Server checked in on the tables in her section but somehow skipped over ours, could take a break while eating at the bar with the entire place full, forgot about the food that we ordered and completely treated us like lower tier customers. Do not support a racist and intolerant business like this place.

I have been going to Coops for 15 years and I love it. Its great food, the staff are terrific and its a great place to watch your favourite sports with buddies. I have been to just about every pub in Newmarket and the surrounding areas and I always come back to Coops. My wife loves it too and a happy wife means a happy life.

I have been in Canada for 16 years. I can definitely say this place has been on top of my list when it comes to quality/taste of wings. I definitely recommend this place for everyone Enjoy!

We came for an early dinner and it wasnt too crowded. Noticed right away that the servers were so engaged with the locals at the bar instead of tending to tables. The garlic bread was dry but we didnt mention anything because it was still ok. My husband has the rib/wing combo. The ribs were awesome and so were the wings. The beans however, were all dried out with a ring around the dish. Obviously had been sitting for a while. I ordered the special .veal on a bun. First of all .it was a veal pressed patty not breaded veal you would normally get. The bun was completely soaked in sauce and oil. I tried to lift it up and it just fell apart. I just ate the veal and it was so mushy. Very disappointing since it was their special . Then getting the servers attention to pay the bill was a joke. When i finally got her to settle up it took like 10 minutes while she chatted with the patrons at the bar. We mentioned our concerns and she just said ill tell the kitchen!! I wasnt looking for a free meal as thats not my style but i dont think she cares. She just gave us the bill. We had been to Coops a couple of weeks ago with friends and it was great. Thats why we came back. It was like we were at a different restaurant this time. Our previous Saturday night servers were amazing. What a difference this time. I know the locals are a big part of the business, but every customer should be attended to in the same manner. Wasted almost $112 with a tip

Love, love, love this place!! The food was delicious I highly recommend the shrimp pasta. Very well prepared, pasta al dente plenty of shrimp, well seasoned, creamy and very delicious. The nachos were just as yummmmy! Cheesy, good amount of beef, and toppings. The staff and owner provide excellent service and have a heart for their guests. Friendly and lively ambience. It s like going to a place where everybody knows your name

Had a really bad experience here since the new owners took over. New lady server messed up our order(22 Dec) and had to pay more and top of that she literally begged rudely for more tip, even though I paid.

Not the first time Ive eaten here. I was, and still am impressed by this place. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff.... theyre always so pleasant and helpful. The food is home made. Soups are delicious with a varied selection each day in limited quantities. Wings are attractively served with fries, veggie assortment and dip. Salads are fresh and flavourful. Prices are extremely reasonable. Fresh, not dried out bread used for the sandwiches. I was here once where one of the owners had brought back fresh seafood from the east coast which they used in a creamy pasta dish. Again, home made and hand crafted. Nothing bad to be said about Coops!! Adrienne and Rikki are gems who make the visit worth it

Coops Smokin Wing House in Newmarket is the bomb! I ordered their wings, and holy smokes, they were like a flavor explosion in my mouth perfectly cooked and the sauces were next-level delicious. If youre into wings, this spot is a total winner!

Oue hockey team was in town and the owner, Shawn, was awesome! He accommodated our entire party and even gave me his personal cell number so we could communicate accseeuracy. Everyone raved about the food. Although Coops was on the smaller side, we all fit comfortably! Thank you!

The food was hot, fresh, and really tasty. The restaurant looks like a wing place which isnt a bad thing but the service is closer to fine dining. Rikki was my server and her knowledge of the menu and the specials made ordering easier and harder because it all sounded so good.

Ive been to Coops a few times. The food is fresh, the wings are huge and the service is always good. My only issue is their flavour menu for wings. Many of the flavours are off or weird tasting. Not my cup of tea, but others may like it. Prices are a bit higher than other restaurants but thats to be expected with the cost of food these days, plus Id rather support a local eatery than a chain.

Normally Im not the type to complain but I will be tonight. We came to coops with our hockey team, who is in town for a hockey tournament. There was over 30 of us. Reservation was for 5. We didnt get asked our drinks for over 30 minutes. Then it took over an hour for just my tables food. Only 4 at this table, to come. We were told 3 different times it was coming. The waitress was rude when I had mentioned we were told this 2 other times. She said it wasnt their fault, they only had 4 people on staff. 2 in front. 2 in back. The Reservation was made 2 weeks in advance. They had ample time to ensure there would be enough staff. The food was ok. Wings great. Pulled pork buns could have been toasted. People who.had came in 40 minutes after us got their food way before us. Will not recommend.

Second time here with friends. The food is great standard pub style food with a few twists. The first time I had the bacon cheese burger and this time 1lb of wings in sweet spicy Thai sauce. Service was quick and very friendly. Would recommend and will be going back

Cannot understand why this location is not lined up out the door. Their kitchen is much better than your average pub food. So, we found this place by mistake after living 3 blocks away for quite some time & I wish we had found them sooner. Their wings are really good, perfectly cooked, big, crispy, and juicy on the inside. I think they offer smoked wings, too, if you get there early enough in the day. I love the cute way they present the wings, though... most places slap em in a paper lined tray and jam the carrot / celery / fries amongst the saucy mess. Here, you will be presented a mini glass jar with celery, carrots, cucumber & tomato. A mesh wire mini fry basket overfilling with perfectly cooked & salted fries, served on a long & skinny plate where the wings are carefully stacked to one side ready for you to dig in. A little TLC goes a long way. The Mac & cheese ... dont skip past that one... thank me later. Beer variety is pretty good. If not on tap, they likely have a bottle. Atmosphere is pretty standard pub bar style. Staff are great, friendly & quick Prices are super reasonable, I usually get away under $50 for two people ( app, wings & drink etc )

We have been going to Coops for a few years now as we loved their large wings. We are big chicken wing eaters and when we found this place we were so happy. We tell everybody about them. We have been there twice in the last month and now the wings are just regular size (same as everybody elses). We found out that there is new owners and they say they cant get the large wings anymore. I hope that is the reason because why would you change a great thing!!

THEY HAVE VEGAN CHICKEN WINGS!! Ive taken my partner to endless bars and pubs and never have they had the option to pig out on wings by my side until now. Didnt get the name of the server behind the bar but she was a blast and really made the environment perfect

I ordered the Suicide and Homicide...holy how is it humanly possible to make a wing with NO FLAVOR? The Suicide (the one with no flavor) wasnt hot at least the Homocide had flavor. Service was BRUTAL. 28 minutes before I got my order and the bill also took forever before she came over.

Checked out their Tuesday Dine in Wings Special & had the pleasure to be served by Emily who was very friendly & informative! The 1lb wings were substantial & left each of us full! The sizes of the wings are great! The suicide sauce is deelicious!! Their poutine is also amazing- good yummy classic gravy! Will definitely come back! The wings are freshly prepared providing a heavenly crispiness whilst sheltering the succulent juicy meat inside. The fries are beautifully golden with an incredible crunch on the outside, while still harboring a delicate inner softness. The menu is well priced leaving any customer more than satisfied with their service and order. The staff are honest and kind, even willing to hold and reserve forgotten/lost personal items. 10/10 would go again.

My family went to Coops on a Saturday evening for dinner. The staff was warm an inviting, and very helpful. The menu options were great, especially the Kids Menu. The food itself was awesome, however the Caesar salad did have a bit too much dressing, for us personally. The service was excellent, and quick with our orders. We do plan to go there again.

I contracted ocular ( eye ) herpes at this restaurant. The cleanness of this restaurant is atrocious - avoid at all cost, unless you want an incurable disease that bother you everyday all day long.

One of the worst place. They don t care for customers. We were 5 people and ordered our food. After one hour of wait the server told us that I can get nachos in 5 mins but didn t know how long the wings would take. No sincerity or concern for the customers. Also didn t appreciate how they only had one server on a Saturday night.

Not even worth for 1 star. One of the worst experiences. We waited for 20 minutes before we got the table. Waited for d food for about 40 mins. When we asked how much more time, the server said, she doesnt know but then she didnt bothered to find out from the kitchen, instead she was busy helping a table to change the channels on the tv. She didnt bothered about us at all. We went to ask her again, how much more time. For which she then went to check and said, Nachos will take 5 more minutes but dont know how much time for d wings. We were very upset and left, again no one bothered. Very poor customer service.

I am from Cleveland, Ohio. Which is known for its wings. . The wings at coops is as good as any Ive ever had. A very large selection of sauces. The service is great.

Cajun fries are a must. In an unassuming location, but steady clientele streaming in and out. Lots of take out! Kid friendly :) Burgers amazing! I will def go back and slowly but surely eat my way thru the menu. I here the wings are a must have with many different seasoning, sauces, and dry rubs...so those are next on my agenda at Coops :)

i ordered the veggie pizza that claimed to be made with naan bread, covered with tomatoes, avocado, corn, onions and marble cheese... it was not naan bread, no marble cheese, I think it was cheese whiz, let me just say, it was the worst thing ever. when I called to complain, the girl said they are wings and burger, not pizza...grrrrrr
